Aside from the fact that I cannot read Polish, if I am not mistaken, that external antenna connector is already present in the BA. Look behind the BA (where the camera is), and you may have a rubber piece covering it, but it does have a connector for an external antenna...
BTW, I am too lazy to go to translate.google.com, what is that thing attached to the Axim?
i believe the connector on the back is only for external gsm/gprs antennae (is that the plural?). my universal has 2 external antenna connectors. one is for gsm/gprs, one is for umts. i guess those conectors are frequency dependant, so i guess the wi-fi signal could not be enhanced with that. but since something like that has never been requested before, we are just guessing here.

We don't guess Chef, we make educated remarks of doubtful validity
i think ur right chef tony..but do you know where is the internal wifi antenna inside the BA?
or what its look like?
in my signature the last link points to the htc blueangel service manual. you can look up any given hardware part there. especially towards the end of it, there is a list of spare parts with pictures.

First of all, sorry if my english is not very good. I'm from spain and I have a Universal that suffered a power failure during gsm flashing and the gsm bootloader was corrupt. It shows the message 'No GSM' during startup and i couldn't find the way to repair... Not possible to reprogram gsm firm, didn't work trying to Unlock, no SuperCID and it seems that neither Jtag (i read that jtag on Universal isn't connected to the gsm chipset).
So... i thought about programming the ROM chip of the GSM module directly accesing it's pins in the PCB. The main problem: this SMD chip has its pins under its body, like a typical PC main processor and not along its borders, so, the only way to see what points on the PCB could give us access to the concerned pins in the ROM, would be unsoldering it... ufff... not an option, but... when I was having a look at the PCB's pictures for the JTAG from the wiki...... Bingo! A completely naked PCB picture! But... oops, the zoom square of the JTAG zone, is just over the conducting paths i want to see!!!
Please! It would be fantastic that the person who made that picture, make another one, where i can see the whole gsm module to track the paths... even better if i could see the opossite side. But doesn't matter if don't!
This ROM employs an electrical protocol very similar to other ROMs and I think It should't be dificult to program using a PIC or similar to drive signals, data and timigs, just to read or write it "as a whole", secuentially. Of course if i find the way I will pos it here with details for everyone.
Thanks in advance! I'm fascinated with your work!
JTAG for radio chipset? I tried to find it but no luck, old problem with hermes/universal. I tried reworking the qualcomm 6250 but nothing. Chip you are talking about is BGA not SMD, and it is very hard to remove it.
Has anyone ever tried to change the internal 16 GB SD with something bigger?
Cheers
No. Usb otg is your other option.
...
But if I open the phone I should be able to access the internal SD, or it's soldered?

There is no 'SD' in this phone. The 'sdcard' is just a symlinked folder that rests on the same partition as the rest of the phone's memory, which is a standard memory chip that is soldered into the mainboard like any other chip.
There is no SD card. You even showed it in your tear down link.

Actually, that link does sort of lend the impression that the storage might be removable/replaceable, simply because they tell you it's in there at the beginning, never identify it specifically, and then note in closing that "The only soldered components are the volume switch and vibrator motor.".
I'm also curious which of those chips houses the memory, if anyone can identify it. I'm guessing that it's right there in the picture for either step 11 or 12, just no idea which one it would be.
Also, something about the tiny tiny pressure censor chip in step 13 makes me giddy.

Sure its replaceable. Just so long as you replace the entire NAND...

According to a quick Google search and this article: http://www.chipworks.com/en/technic.../12/inside-the-samsung-galaxy-nexus-gt-i9250/, the KMVYL000LM-B503 chip is the most likely candidate for the eMMC.

That's what I assumed just based on the name. And looks like you're right based on this seller listing.
Curious how the toro has all of its storage on a separate chip, at least that's what I make of this photo. I guess it goes to show how much redrafting you need to do for tiny tech when the premise is basically "this variant of the phone needs an extra radio etc, fit that in somewhere".

Maybe not extra, but different, yes. Also, they probably had to reposition the antenna a bit due to the different frequencies and they installed a larger battery that had a slightly different shape, which meant reshuffling a few things around. Not to mention the eMMC of the Verizon/Sprint variants has more storage so they had to order a different shipment of chips anyways so they probably picked one based on availability and price at the time and had to deal with further differences in the shape of the eMMC chip. Either way, it is possible that with some incredible soldering skills and (most likely) some re-programming of the hardware you could put a different eMMC in there, but it would probably be more trouble than it is worth if it were possible at all. The replacement would have to be very similar to the original. I am not an expert.
Looks like they share the same RAM chip - the K3PE7E700M-XGC1. This chip is also in the Droid RAZR.
good morning,
Sorry, it's from google translate.
What is the connector on the bottom when you removed the battery cover, it looks like wifi connector on the pc?
I asked for help I especially like to know where is the wifi antenna when you remove the screws, it is very important:
On my Galaxy S4 mini there 3 antennas in the upper left, one on the top right and bottom left 2 and 2 in the lower right.
Which is why, is the nfc, gps, wifi, the BLUETHOOT? not sure, the antenna of the phone network.
It is very important you could told me, Where is the wifi antenna please?
I'm trying to change the wifi antenna, if you know how to recognize the wifi chip is also well thank you very much.
Watch this video. Here the man disassembles s4 mini and explains every part of the assembly.

Thank you so so much, but i don't understand english when men speak english but i understand more when it's in texte.
He sais Gsm internet / but i think he said more terms like internets, but my ears is not very good for understand english.
I need to know where is chip of wifi (not gsm or 3g or 4g because i think gsm=internet of Sim card) i need only where is the Chip of Wifi and Where is the Antenna's Wifi (not antenna of gsm/3gor4g).
Please HELP me more.

In the video, at ...
2:37: "This contains a few antennas"
2:40: "4G"
2:41,2:42: "Wi-Fi"
2:43,2:44: "and GPS"
Search the FCC documents regarding the RF exposure levels. It might help.
Thank you.
Yesterday I replaced ad USB board (as an old one become faulty and I have had problems with charging the phone). I can confirm I used the appropriate board model.
Today I noticed that my service bars are not as good as they used to be. Generally in the room I usually used to talk and have weak 1 bar service, right now I have no service. I tested my phone outside as well and have a feeling like the phone has no as good perception as it used to have. Another words the service bars wen down everywhere about 20% or so. Phone works fine and I see no other problems. I wonder is there might be something that affects the service bars hardware-wise ? Any ideas appreciated.

The antenna. I think we have 2, one for GSM and one for LTE.
Google for a picture with exact location and try to re-tighten them.
That's all I can think of.

Thanks for suggestions. Yes the one for GPS works fine as I have no problem with GPS (that is the one on a foil. The one for connecting to the tower is a straight wire. This wire goes from the little board (with USB port I've replaced) to the MB. I reopened the phone today and removed the antenna cable. Tested for continuity - OK, cleaned the connectors but still not luck.
I wonder if this could be some compatybility issue or deffective USB board. The board shows T889 rev1.0 so it sound like it's one of the first ones. Unfortunately I made a big mistake (to late) and thrown away old board. It had a problem with the USB post but there was no problem with the signal strength. I wonder if it is common for the usb board to go bad or if there is anything else I could possibly check. I ordered new antenna cable and thinking about getting another USB board, but if this will not fix the problem I'm clueless. I also restored the phone to factory settings to make sure it is not software problem. I need to use this phone daily at work and I'm really pissed off with the problems. PLEASE HELP
Thank you - ARTHUR
Just a question, ,, have you tried flashing the modem? Not sure it would help but maybe rewriting the radio files will help you.
Good luck
Hey guys.
Someone has the hardware diagram of the Xperia ZL?
I would try to change the cellular antenna module. I'm having trouble with weak signal and I've tried various ROMs without success.
I believe that may be a problem in antenna.
Anyone have any suggestions or know to inform the position of the antenna?

Thank you! I was looking for this information for a long time.
Knowing the correct position of the antenna I could fix connection problems between the antenna and the motherboard.
This helped me to recover the cell phone signal was too weak.

Could some one explain what exactly the antenna looks like? If i follow the manual i just find an plastic piece that is moving freely up and down by it's own. Is that the one? It doesn't seem to have any electronics attached or doesn't seem to have any connectors either

It is a plastic piece placed on the bottom of the smartphone, on the left of the Gasket Vibrator.
You can see it in the attachment.
