Hi to all and thanks for reading this ,
I have read and attempted a lot since 1700hrs and its now 01:30hrs and i'm not getting anywhere. My Trinity is an Orange SPV M700 and it had the orange ROM. I then flashed on it the WM6.1 Elegance Rom and used it for 2 weeks. Last week i upgraded to nAr.icke.WM6.5.MANILA.21895.WWE and again all was ok, till today when i wanted to downgrade to one without Manilla.
When I tried to flash it with the ROM software Karmba av8 it all went wrong...After 1 % the screen went blank and displayed Error 270 and all I can do with the device is to put it into the boot-loader mode where it displays:
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000
I googled here to get the original SPV M700 ROM and tried it but no luck. I have tried to re-flash it through the sd-card: as instructued I re-formatted the card on fat32,without any name, put the original ROM and tried to let it boot that way. No success,....It says loading and after displaying these numbers 00068002 ... it returns into the boot-loader mode.I am now at my wits end and about to kill myself.
Somebody please help
Man ... I sometimes think we should make the first post of every single ROM thread just say the words:
Install Hard-SPL first!!!
It is just depressing to keep seeing people brick their phone like this because they didn't read enough before they started flashing cooked roms.
@Werra: You should see if you can still install Hard-SPL from your SD card. SuperSport has very a helpful thread about how to do this.
How to Flash HardSPL (Using Olipro 1.20) - USB or SD
Hard-SPL is your only hope at this point and that is exactly why it should have been the first thing you installed.
EDIT: Oh, scratch that. I just realised that you still need a working phone to do the Hard-SPL via SD method.
Now the only option is using the "splxploit" to try and un-brick your phone:
HTC Trinity Stack Overflow exploit - how to unbrick any Trinity stuck in bootloader
Good luck.
Supersport......you're Superman. I though I had lost my phone but with your help, I've saved it. Thank you very much for the infor .....I managed to install the Original ROM which I had saved on the mini SD using splxploit & then installed HardSPL also using the mini SD & finally upgraded my Radio to 1.59 and yes I am chaffed to bits. Its been an amazing 19hrs for me.

Thank you, but actually, the credit goes to the.Decoy. He's the one who saved you. Glad to hear you are back running again, I've been there many times. Your stomach feels like you've eaten a brick... It's so exciting when life comes back to the screen when it finally works.
Edit: Can you imagine doing this with your new $700 HD2? Yikes! Although, it was not long ago our little Trinity's were $600.
Awesome! I am glad you managed to get it back again. I have thankfully never bricked mine that bad but have still had a couple of those scary moments where it looked boned from a bad flash ... like I said, Hard-SPL is best thing you will ever do for your phone

lol, funnily enough I am actually still 2 months away from the last payment on my P3600i (despite the fact that I have been using a TP2 for 5 months)

Yeah, I love having that keyboard (the spacing is perfect on the TP2 keyb)
Although I wish like hell that they could have made it with the same hardware as a HD2
I basically have 4 times the memory and a slightly faster ARM processor (than my P3600i) but it is still "old tech" compared to the gear in a HD2.
So I doubt I will be going HD2 myself ... if they ever do a TP3 (prior to WM7) then that sounds good. Once WM7 happens (from what I have seen so far of WM7) I reckon I might move over to Droid at that point.

Hahaha... That's funny.... I too am not very keen on the new WM7. I've tried the Phone 7 Shell on my Trinity, and it's not easy for me to use. Maybe just a learning curve. The other thing is that I rarely use social networking, which is what all the new phones are about.
Mostly, I don't like that WM7 is making a move towards Apple in that they are going to lock down the interface so it cannot be changed very much. If I were able to heavily modify the WM7 layout, I might be in love with it. We'll see how it pans out in the end, it could change a whole lot before it's released.

hi all, need help
I am new using pc pocket. I have a Orange SPV M700. My problem is the same as Werra 2006.
When I tried to flash it , all went wrong...After 1 % the screen went blank and displayed Error 270 and all I can do with the device is to put it into the boot-loader mode where it displays:
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000
I tried everything I read here, but without success. Even when I tried to install Hard SPL ,look like 100% load, then always appear the error: "ERROR [270]: UPDATE ERROR The image file is corrupted. Please check your update utility".
Then my M700 try to boot, but not start, booting forever. I noticed when I tried to re-flash it, the old version of rom that should be updated, do not write anything.
So I can not use the phone!
What should I do? Can you help?
Thanks

You need to flash back the OEM ROM that comes with your phone. Then, you need to run the SSPL_TRIN.exe file from your working phone, and then flash the HardSPL file.
Hard SPL files can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=576880
I have the same problem as @gtdor too..can anyone Help us
The Update Utility said update the current ROM version.
But the old Image Version is not inside.
That the reason, that the Update Utility said the image file is corrupted.
As I get the old image in mobile phone back ?
Someone has an idea?
Sorry for my bad English!!
And thanks for your assistance in advance
I solved the problem. First the operating system on my PC changed from 7 to XP
Then under XP i can started the program "splxploit-windows" and change HARD SPL 1.07.0000 to OliPro 1.20
Then I could up-play a Rom normally on my mobile phone.
Do you guys have access to the original ROMs that came with your phones? If you can get those, they should flash to your phone without error.
For the Trinity P3600, you can use this one:
http://www.mediafire.com/?v5yjt1zvgjm
For others that this might not work for, you might check the HTC.com site to see if it's available for your phone.
After getting the OEM ROM onto your phone, you can then start the HardSPL process...
I do not know how to do this, can you tell me how?
My SPV not communicate with computer.
I am a little frustrated by the situation and do not know how to fix it.
Thanks for help

Yeah, I just had a look around and someone did manage to dump the Orange M700 rom and build an NBH from it ... but there is not "official" update utility out there for the M700
So you aren't going to get anywhere without HardSPL. And it looks like you aren't going to get that on there without using the splxploit to get it there.
Are you entering the 3 color Bootloader first?

Yes I'm entering the three color Bootloader. In my case it is enough to keep pressing POWER + CAMERA, without pressing RESET (not shown) and entering the bootloader.
3 color screen writes:
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000
and below

then use splxploit and apear this window from the picture
When i run HARD spl after load 1% appear the error: "ERROR [270]: UPDATE ERROR The image file is corrupted. Please check your update utility".
What could I do more? Thanks

OK, you're getting closer ... ^^^ that isn't good. The splxploit isn't seeing the usb connection to the phone.
1) Are you in Windows XP?
2) Have you disabled ActiveSync (untick "Accept USB Connections" under connection settings in ActiveSync)
3) Are you running the "unbrick.bat" or the "SPLXploit.exe" version of splxploit?
4a) IF you are running "unbrick.bat", edit the file and change "\\.\\WCEUSBSH001" to be "\\.\WCEUSBSH001"
(remove the red backslash)
4b) IF you are running "SPLXploit.exe", go into task manager and killed wcescomm.exe and rapimge.exe before running the tool

Hello everyone.
I have just bought my Hermes (AT&T 8525) after one year of planing so. It came with WM5. I downloaded some of the ROMSs, radio and bootloaders commented here. I tried reading all the vast infromation in this forum and the wiki, but still having a problem.
THE PROBLEM IS AS FOLLOW:
When I start the flashing process, using HTC_TyTN_WWE_3[1].54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108.exe or RUU_Hermes_CINGULAR_WWE_3.1.57.502.1_6275_1.48.00.00_108
... everything goes well, until the progress bar appears in my PC. When it appears, ActiveSync in my PC closes and my Hermes goes to stand by (the lcd goes off) so I cannot complete the installation process.
The phone works pretty well and I'm really amazed for all its capabilities. But still, I'm stucked with wm5.
Why do you think this happened?
PS: I flashed the radio (1.51.00.10) and bootloader (HARD SPL v7). My ROM version is 2.15.502.3. I use "ActiveStink" to sync my files without problems.
Any advice will be more than welcome!!
I'm no expert but that appears to be normal behaviour!
ActiveSync is only used at the start of the process. After a few files have been transfered, Activesync is closed and a different link is established. If you just leave it for a short while longer, a progress bar should appear on the Hermes too.
Yes, ActiveSync will disconnect. The RUU takes over the connection. Have you let it sit - sometimes it takes a minute for the progress bar to move.
Have you consulted www.mrvanx.org for help on the flashing?

I'm having the same problem - always have. The message tells me that I'm disconnected and that I should check my USB connect etc. I left that box up there for about 15 minutes. Now I've closed the box and have waited several minutes with no activity. This is pretty aggravating. Thanks for any help.
try turning off your antivirus aplication. thats work for me flashing my tytn to wm6.
I've done everything.... I guess
Hi...
Yes, I consulted the www.mrvanx.org, excellent tutorials.
I flashed without problem the radio and bootloader. The progress bar started to "progress" and everything was fine. The only problem I have is flashing the WM6.
I don't remember where, but I readed that flashing the bootloader "Hard SLP v7" causes my HTC not to accept any Oficial WM6 ROM. The article said that I only had the chance to flash a coocked or modified ROMs. Is this true?
If not... what else can it be? I also closed all my applicacations including the antivirus, goback, disabled the internet connection, the logictec mouse center, etc. and nothing, the same as Chicoh happens to me.
"Error 260: Connection... check the USB cable bla bla bla."
Should I restart in safe mode to do the flashing?
Should I try to install a modified ROM?
Have in mind I've tried three different official ROMs: WWE, Cingular and spanish.
Thanks to all the comunity!!!
Saludos desde México!!
Greetings -
I had a similar problem and couldn't get the thing get going. My solution was to load it from the SD card. This worked flawlessly.

I'm trying that as we speak. I have a good feeling about this. I'm a little concerned that I didn't think of it though. Makes perfect sense - Skip the middle man.
UPDATE: Crap. No luck. Thanks all the same though. I'm not giving up.
What OS are you using, xp or vista? My vista 'top had the same problem wouldnt flash for the longest time and i had to use my xp.
However, it does work now. Not entirely sure why.
Now I had success!!!
Hello my friends.
It seems that the article I readed days ago detailing that after flashing the Hard SPL v7, I could only install a modified ROM, not an official one from HTC or Cingular.
I downloaded Black Satin and installed it without any troubles. The entire process lasted only 3 minutes!!!
I wanted to have an official ROM, don't ask me why, and never tried the "other" ROMs that are actually excellent!!! some apps that were on WM5 are not in WM6, which is kind of sad, but if there's something that I love of WM Smartphones is that I can download and install whatever I want or develop it if it doesn't exist!!!
By the way, I use Windows XP Pro.
Thanks for all the support!!!
PS: Before flashing the Hard SPL v7, I tried installing the cingular WM6, but didn't make it. That's why I readed almost all the pages and threads here in xda-developers and found that flashing a new bootloader was a very good idea. The rest of the story is known by you.
PLEASE ASSIST: I'VE RECENTLY UPGRADED MY CINGULAR/ATT 8525 HERMES UNIT TO WINMOB6 AND NOW CAN'T GET PAST THE INITIAL WINDOWS MOBILE SCREEN WHERE IT SAYS "TAP THE SCREEN TO SET UP YOUR WINDOWS MOBILE BASED DEVICE." IF SOMEONE COULD POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION - I'D SURE APPRECIATE IT.

hmm no need to scream.
Push the OK on left and power on right, and stick stylus in all at the same time. Re run the exe file while it is plugged in to active sync, and see. Which WM6 did you use?

Ok, since you're on ATT I suggest you follow my instruction above, get into tricolour screen (bootloader), and download this
from the post above you will get the shipped ATT rom. Don't worry if activesync is saying is not connected, just run the file. You will then get back to a WM6.
The phone originally came with WM5 and I was upgrading to mess around with the thing. I'm at the tricoloured screen and now downloading the files from RapidShare. Will this get me back to WM5 or to the upgrade. If there is a way, I like to try the HardSPL flash I've been reading about today - will this work on either WM version? Txs & Rgds.

After you have flashed this WM6.0 you really need to flash hard SPL first, I thought you would have done that already.
Really please read this first before you brick your phone.
No that's the thing. I'm just finding out how I went about this all wrong and maybe shouldn't have been messing this in the first place. Anyhow, my bootloader screen reads like this:

Nope, didn't work. Here's the report:
ERROR [260]: UPDATE ERROR
The update utility cannot connect to your PDA Phone. Please check that your USB cradle/cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA phone.
Check the following:

Is there another way to establish comunication with the PDA other than through ActiveSync? Somekind of emulator box or binary software???

hmm weird, so have you got .net framework installed on your PC? try it again one more time while in bootloader, plug the phone to USB as long as you can hear the 'ding' sound you should be OK. I have 'bricked' my phone a few times and this always work. What are you trying to flash? the hardspl or the ROM?
Yes, today I upgraded to .net framework 3.5 when ActiveSync failed Microsoft Error took me to their website and offered me the option. I had been running 2.x .net framework and never had a problem would also use same ActiveSync with my old Axim X30.
Yes, I can hear the 'ding' sound and I was trying to run the file RUUWrapper.exe (Hermes ROM Upgrade w/ the option Force using SSPL).
well that shows the other way around doesn't work, so you need to get your phone to a working WM6 state, how is your download going from rapidshare? get it to boot loader mode again and flash that exe file.
Just completed that route - I ran the PDA Phone ROM Update Utility 3.12.3.7 - the process took about 10 minutes to go through 100%, then it restarted and stayed at the Window Mobile screen for little over minute (crossing my fingers), but then just showed the same message "Tap the screen to set up your Window Mobile based device." Please let me know if you have other avenues to try – It’s close to 4am here in Miami, but I'm not sleeping. I’m really glad you are able to assist with this mess – thanks a lot!

Downloading now...According to pof(moderator) it's a "new rom from the still unreleased Cingular 8525: HTC Hermes (HERM100) branded from U.S. Operator Cingular"
My only question then would be that this appears to be made for WM5 and I performed the WM6 upgrade which is what got me into this mess in the first place - so will there be any conflicts or issues I should now about? I'm about to go ahead with it - if anyone is out there and thinks otherwise, please advise soonest. Thx & rgds, Ed

Sounds good man!! Flash it!! oem WM6 roms usually fix allot of issues.. Don't be scared everyone else is busy flashing WM6.1 roms all the time now!
Thanks for the words of support <joshkoss>! Just attempted several times to flash the Shipped ROM I found from <pof> (PDA Phone ROM Update Utility - R:31300 D:51000 U:31101 P:0) and keep getting ‘ERROR[260]: UPDATE ERROR’ message. While instead I went back again to flashing the ROM that <zocster> suggested last night (PDA Phone ROM Update Utility 3.12.3.7) and it does go through the entire 10 minute process until it shows 100% completion both on the PDA and on the PC and then tells me congratulations….etc. I even flashed it twice back-to-back as I read to do in one of the threads – but just keep getting back to the dreaded Window Mobile screen with the same message "Tap the screen to set up your Window Mobile based device."
My next question is this: Why does the PDA Phone ROM Update Utility 3.12.3.7 connect to the PDA, but the PDA Phone ROM Update Utility - R:31300 D:51000 U:31101 P:0 (which I read is the Shipped ROM that I need to get the PDA back to) gives me an error message. Obviously, there is a connection since I’m able to get a 100% completion on the other ROM??? Please kindly advise…..
Hi, i have been trying for the last month and a half to try another rom on my hermes, but it seems i can't.
i have flashed many Roms and i never had a problem in doing that till the las time when i tried to flash into the new S64.
every time i try flashing into any new rom it rejects me by giving me the (ERROR 260) telling me i'm not connected and the USB cardle thing, but all of my connections are correct and my ActiveShyn is up to date and i was always flashing roms in the same way.
Some seniors here when i have mentioned that told me that it seems i have flashed or reflashed the Hardspl, so i'm trying to reflash the Hardspl, i have tried endless times but it keeps telling me the same althought i have downloaded almost every hardspl that is available in the xda site lol.
what i'm requesting please if possible to direct me in the steps that i need to make my hermes functional again please i'm sure u understand what i'm saying.
some have mentioned that cause i still have the
herm100 i can't flash it into another roms but that sounds a bit strange lol.
I know that i have still herm100 (old) and my ipl-1.01
and spl-1.06 but i think that dosn't matter in my opinion.
Please i request if u can help me in fixing my problem by providing me the steps by simple words and if you have a fresh zips of hardspl coz i'm so confused which one to use, it would be nice to hear how to do it step by step.
i really need your support and excuse me if i'm bothering u with this kind of request but i didn't know where else to go and ask.
My Current rom is the HTC_Hermes_S64_WM_6[1].1_HTC_WWE_v2_30.03.2008 which is old and i would like to refresh my phone by a new version.
i was thinking of the new HTC_HERMES_S64_WM_6.1_TouchFlo2D_UC_ WWE v3 / GER v1 but i don't know if it would work on my herm100 cause i was told it was designed for herm200 and abouve is that true?
If not well there are so many more roms out there i would like to try but i'm stuck for the moment.
please again i wouldn't have bothered u with my request if i wasn't facing this problem.
thank u a lot and i hope to hear soon from u commrade.
Dayhauck.
have you tried to manually go into the bootloader and flash? You don't need activesync to flash like that if you're connected with USB. Also, from your SD card. Both have worked for me in the past.
Though you should have Hard SPL installed if you want to use the sd card method.
i have tried to do it manualy but i not much of a luck in loading the Hard SPL.
I really don't know what to do. i can't even f;ash to the original htc rom .
what else can i do?
1. Check your usb cable.
2. Try different USB ports in ur PC,
3. Check if the mini USB in Hermes is not damaged.
4. Check the bootloader if you have HardSPL installed.
5. Try SD method,
6. Read the wiki.
check out post 1160 on page 116 of this thread for sd card method for Hard SPL V7 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
Cheers...
I had the same problem. If you can activesync with the cable then all you need to do as already mentioned above.
With the phone attached manually go into bootloader (hold on/off on right of phone and 'ok' on the left of phone both in while you prod the phone reset at the bottom of the device).
When you have the multicoloured boot loader run the update and it should work fine.
Hope this is some hepl
Hello everyone, I am really new to this forum having received the Dash 2 days ago. Looking to get it up to speed I flashed the 6.5 Energy Rom according to instructions. I think that was a very bad move, because now the cellphone is stuck on the Loading Energy Rom screen. I have searched the forum for answer and have already tried the following:
1- Entering bootloader and flashing original ROM. No luck because EVERY rom I have gotten, be it from here and T-Mobile, it says invalid vendor ID.
2-Tried to perform a hard reset. Did not work.
3-Flash the original ROM through the memory card. No avail.
The phone cannot connect to active sync, so I can't install any cooked ROMS. I think the solution is installing the original ROM by the bootloader, but I cant seem to find a compatible one. My cell information is the following:
Bootloader screen info: ONBL 1.22.0000 SPL 1.22.0000 IU
EXCA 100 S/N SZ713FE05873.
Is there any way with that information someone can tell me which ROM to use? Or any other tip/hint/suggestion? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I have the same Bootloader screen info: ONBL 1.22.0000 SPL 1.22.0000 IU value and i was able to restore my phone to working status with the following ROM
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IJIVTIMF
Hope this help

That's odd, I was able to restore my Excalibur/Dash after flashing the corrupted EnergyRom.
Hope you will find a way to resolve your problem.

But how did you do it? Flashing it through USB or through the memory card? The weird thing is that when I run the EXE the cellphone that appears in the picture of the program is an SDA. But well I will try it again and thank you for the help!
I used bootloader method and connected my phone through USB for flashing. Remember to remove your memory card when flashing.
well, I've been in your situation for almost 3 days now, and still no solution for it, maybe it's time to put it in the box and purchase a new one , all thanks to the broken EnergyROM ...
Ok guys. Don't give up. Believe it or not, a Dash is NOT easy to brick like some other devices. the steps are fairly clear but let me refresh:
- Go into bootloader by holding the camera button and powering on the phone
- Connect the USB cable, you will hear the ba-bing USB connect sound on your PC (if u don't thats why you're having issues flashing)
- Download and unpack a "factory sealed" signed ROM. I use this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/7886560...S_1.33.422.1_4.1.13.51_03.07.90_Ship.exe.html
- With USB connected and the phone in the multicolor bootloader, run RomUpdateUtility.exe, check the boxes, it next, bla bla bla.
- It will look for your device for 20 seconds. then hit "update" and next.
- It should then start flashing the Excalibur Brightpoint Factory ROM back onto your phone
- If you can't get this far or it fails, try a different PC or Flash from the SDcard
** NOTE: If flashing from USB, REMOVE the SD CARD! This is the biggest mistake of most people trying to flash from USB.
Good luck.

Thanks ookba for cheering us up. I'm having the same problem like many, many people in this forum hopeless seeing our dash not responding to every solution proposed in this forum and the only thing that we have right now is keep trying to flash and see if it works. I will try again in different PC and see what happens. I'll let all of you know if I finally resurrect my s621.
Thanks everyone for all the help! It's hard to find people that are so helpful on internet forums. I'm still in the same situation as gmaniac and alexalexoe but hopefully we can find something that will fix our problems

Thanks 105507 but no success at all, I even found 2 more factory roms in the web and also they don't work. I own an unbranded international version s621 manufactured by Brightstar corporation (I tried to flash Brightstar's stock rom but it didn't work) and I noticed this because in the warranty docs it says brigthstar corporation and originally the phone came with WM5.
not that this will help. but this is one of the reasons why people should be really installing the hardspl so if you have a bad flash, you dont have to install a stock rom. any rom whether be it cooked or not will work. but this hardspl must be done prior to installing ANY rom. the hard spl is done by jockyw2001. send him a pm to see if theres anyway to get that on the phone, even in its current state.
edit: here's the link to the hardspl: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329605

My phone is the same your phone but ONBL 1.33.0000 and SPL 1.33.0000
I'm trying to find the original rom of this line but not found. Please help me!
Have you done a reset? My friend fixed his by trying reset a few times. He reset it, walked away...., it took long time to see whether it booted over; if not, do it again...
By the way, he leave the sim card in; and, you need to remove your micro sd card.
On an official site it is possible download ROM for your phone. It is flashing from bootloder mode. It some times helped me, while I have not flashed hard SPL.

Hi all, for all the people like me who do not have the patience or knowledge do adventure themselves in the mitty thread.
This program already exists for X1, HD2, TP2 (for what I know) and I have tested it and it works.
After some search on this forum I have talked to agent_47, who was kind enough to make a task29 program for our HTC Diamonds (GSM version).
Agent_47 or me do not take any responsibility for ay damage done to your device. Use it at your own risk, and only after you have HSPL already installed on your device.
Do not know what a HSPL is, check here:

now we can mtty our "HTC Diamond" without having the need of MTTY and its drivers
INSTRUCTIONS:
- download and unzip
- run then ROMUpdateUtility.exe and wait for it to finish.....
- device will reboot but will neva go past the bootscreen coz there is no OS to boot
- take our batti and then flash a rom using mSD card or by taking device into bootloader and using customRUU to load ur favorite ROM
DOWNLOAD:
http://rs604.rapidshare.com/files/407049148/task29-diamond.7z
WHATS TASK29\MTTY
when u flash a rom, you are copying files onto the internal memory (like duh!) but if u repeatadly flash different roms, sometimes files from older version stays behind as when u flash a rom, you just copy and sometimes overwrite files without deleting the older ones. hence at times these older files may create bugs\instability. hardrest donot always fix it.so we use MTTY
but the thing is, mtty is and can be hard to use for new users. ... for me,, i was having the worst time installin the drivers needed to run mtty on win7 x64. so u i made this tool for me and for all

all credit goes to doloop for coming up with the idea

and I would add to agent_47, as he adapted this tool for the HTC Diamond
Did anyone tried this?
What's the verdict?
mmm. interesting.
Thanks for the share and all your hard work but this is actually harder than mitty for me and i am a windows 7 user also

I do not understand how this is possible, I am using Vista and this is as easy as flashing a ROM with a computer. You just connect the device via USB to the Diamond, let active sync finish. Then you just need to run "ROMUpdateUtility.exe" and follow the instructions.
I have tested this, and I can confirm this is working for the European HTC Diamond (bought in Portugal).
This was not made by me, but I do think that more people will benefit with this program. Hopefully people will overcome the initial resistance to change.
Great idea!
I used to MTTY through VMWare Windows XP x86 within my host Windows 7 x64. It was a pain in the ass to get though but it always worked for me. This is a great time saver!
Regards to both of you Johev and agent_47!
Willing to test on my next flash.
Best regards,
Cina.

What do you mean? take out battery?
Gonna try this with my next flash
Yeah, the sentence is a bit odd to me to
i asume it means take out battery but still..
i'm not gonna try it until i know it for sure!
--edit--
i couldn't help it and used it anyway..
i assumed "take our batti" means take out battery cuz it worked for me!
my diamond was clean (i guess) and i'm now enjoying a new rom!
Thanx guys!!
I would never post something that I did not test first.
I am glad that you liked it, and I really think it is much simpler then the mitty thread.
Good luck flashing.

I LOVE THIS TOOL
this isn't good for my ORD.. i'm flashing the hell out of my diamond now!
Getting a HD2 in about a month.. can't wait for it ;D
I tried it, but I only get the start screen with "Touch diamond", no bootloader.
But I´ve installed HARDSPL Olinex, because I already flashed other ROM´s.
How can I solve this problem?
What about battery? When I have to get it out, when I can put it in again...?
fibula
to get into bootloader you have to reset your device while holding the volume down button!
then you will get the tri-color screen,
connect your diamond to your pc and flash a rom with a RUU!

To get into bootloader with my diamond:
1) Turn Diamond off, take out battery for 5 seconds.
2) Put battery back inside, and press and hold the centre button (circle) and turn ON the device (hold both buttons) until you see a 3 colour screen
If step 2 does not work, try pressing holding volume down while turning the device on (hold the ON button too). Remember to take out the battery before you do this.
Hope this helps.
Hi!
Does this work by simply copying any ROM's nbh file (instead of radio*.nbg) to folder and executing ROMUpdateUtility.exe? Will it MTTY before flashing the ROM?
Currently I'm trying this method out. It is around at 50% of flashing progress.
I'll report back.
Cina.
thanks a ton dude.... magnificent work...
Now if there were only a way to do it directly from Internal Storage, without RUU...
It does not work the way I described. It hangs on HTC Diamond black boot screen and no red lines appears in lower right corner (no OS recognized).
So you have to flash 2 times. Radio flash is shorted for the first attempt and on the second turn you flash your ROM with CustomRUU.
There is a similiar tool like this with the method working with other devices I described above. FlashaholicRUU. Someone give it a try for Diamond. Next week I'll do it and report back.
Cheers,
Cina.

I remember to see that post on xda developers front page short time ago, but I was not sure if it would work for HTC Diamond.
A universal task29 that would format and flash the device in one single process.
Ironically it was developed a few weeks after I have found an alternative way to mitty that I posted here.
So far I did not hear that it was compatible with Diamond, so I will not risk it.
It's nice to have all these options, because when I searched for something like this a few months ago, I could only find the mitty threat that has more than 80 posts.
For me it was strange as newer devices with very similar hardware and software already had something like this, but Diamond users had to use mitty.
Well I am glad that you like it, and hopefully I helped someone that was not able or willing to do it manually.
