xperia x10 ROM possible?

Hi all Im new to Android and before I got the desire i was umming over the xperia x10, is it possible/likely someone will come up with a version of the UI on that to stick on the Desire?

FreedHome has an Xperia-like skin; if you install it, you can download it. Check here or here. Dunno if it's what you're looking for, though.

I was thinking more with a ROM with Timescape cooked in http://androinica.com/2010/03/29/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-review-timescape/
I just didnt know if it was possible or not, I have no idea about cooking ROMS but I know there are a lot of talented chefs out there who could do it

Anyone interested in a ROM with timescape at all or am I the only one?

No one wants to downgrade to 1.6 just for a UI =/

timescape is not good... before I had the Desire... I had bought a X10... after 2 weeks I had send the X10 back to the store and change it with the Desire.
the function of the x10 is very basic at this moment. there is only a overview of messages. the timescape is not a full home screen. you can't add apps on timescape. if you want add apps on the screen, you must go out timescape and use the standard android home (3 screens) ...

I too longed to buy an X10 until it came out. When I finally held one in my hand and played around with it, I got the distinct feeling it would be a let down like my Satio. I nonetheless mulled over getting an X10 for a while just because of the camera.
Unless we can upgrade our camera hardware to an X10 camera, putting anything else from Sony Ericsson on the Desire would be like intentionally crippling the phone.

[Q] Reducing number of homescreens

Hi there,
I just got my Desire HD today and am setting it up.
I came from the Galaxy S.
Is there a way to reduce the number of homescreens?
I've looked all over google and the manual and cannot find it.

Unfortunately the only way that you'll be able to do this is with another launcher. I use launcherpro plus, but there are others available. You won't be able to use HTC widgets with other launchers though.

I have purchased Launcherpro in the past, might have to reuse it. I lost the damn code tho and it doesnt show up as purchased in the marketplace.

There is an option to have the code emailed to you from launcher pro...

[Q] Change Swipe to Unlock Direction/Style

Hi There,
New owner of the Xperia Play here.
Loving the device thus far however I'd like to make one change if people can help me out.
Coming from the Desire HD I much prefer the swipe downwards to unlock method which is employed by Sense.
Is there any way for me to change the method of unlock on my Xperia Play?
Currently I haven't rooted my phone however I am looking at it as a possibility for the future and if this is a feature that requires root it will likely hasten that decision.

[Q] Sony Xperia Arc launcher Question

So I was wondering why the sony xperia arc launcher widgets don't work for our device? Whats in that device that would not allow us to run it on ours. I not expecting a clear answer but was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get those widgets in a different way?

Trackid error

My track id has an error after I unlock my bootloader which remove the DRM keys which I have no idea what it is and the track id stop working after that... Is there a way to fix it?

u cant get back the DRM keys once they are wiped.

uninstall then install again from market.. :angel:

That's the xperia S trackid. I'm thinking if I can get back the stock ones as their widgets are nicer looking.

If I were to relock my phone with doomkernel, will I get a bootloop or fix the trackid?

Have you tried installing the app from the Market, try that and see if the original works then unistall the Market one to see if the original still works.
I think the new one looks a lot better to be honest though.

Nope didnt work, I cant even install the old one as a normal apk...

The old TrackID won't work once you unlock your bootloader and the DRM keys are wiped. And no, you can't get back those keys even if you relock the bootloader.
Get TrackID from the market. That works even with an unlocked bootloader.
Else you will need to go for 3rd pay apps.

No.
Or use testpoint method to unlock ur bl.
U will not loose Drm keys.
Drm keys are kept in Sony s Software because to get ridd off copyright.
