I think conference calls are network dependent. you make a call then call someone else and then i think you press menu key and merge calls. T mobile does not allow it.
Instead search for hullo group call which might work for you.
hope that helps.
I do conference in this way (I use HTC Legend):
- Make one normal call with the first person of the conference. Wait him to answer the call. Then:
- Click on Apps/Phone. Enter the name or number of the second person and click on "Call" (sorry if it appears a bit different in your phone, I am translating from my Spanish phone). Wait this person to answer the phone. The first call will be automatically on hold
- Now, in the bottom right corner of the screen, you will have an icon to "join in conference". Just click on il and the conference will start.
I think conferences are really useful. With Android need to do several clicks but works fine (the quality of the conference will depend of the network. Usually conference are enabled on networks because operators gets more money -they get more calls at the same time)
It should also work in a similar way if the people of the conference calls you, instead of you calling to them. But you should enable "waiting call" option on your phone network options to be warned when the second person call you.
Hope this helps.

In my Tmobile dash, unlocked, I cannot make a conference call. While in a call, I open the menu but there is no swap and conference is darkened and not available.
Is there anyway to get it working?
I have the same question... and I dont know how to use it either...
Unlocked?
Is your dash unlocked? Did the conference menu ever worked? did you try to reset?
I think you either need to hold the call, dial the new number and then conference.
Oh I see, I will try that...
Great
Hey, yep, i did the hold, made the other call, then conference worked fine to join the two.
THanks
I am able to make conference calls only when I dial out both the numbers.
1. I dial the first number
2. Go to menu click 'Add Call' and call the other number
3. Merge the two
Is it not possible to put someone who is calling me on conference if I am already on a call?
tkz
I looked around, and actually did not see anyone speaking of being able to do that. They all referenced you having to call both lines.
Thanks for the reply. I read somewhere else stating it aint possible coz of the way CDMA works.

what do you mean by a conference call app? Ideally while talking to a person you should be able to select option to add a caller. OR go to contacts and call the second person (first person is put on hold automatically) and the while talking to second person select "join call" or "conference" depending upon the option that shows up.

My GF has an AT&T GS3, and is having fits answering calls thru Google Voice. When a call comes in, the phone says the call is from an unknown number and makes her open keyboard and choose to accept the call, and often calls get missed. My I-9300 does not do this, so I figure it is something AT&T has tweaked on phone.
Has anyone else had ths problem? I have looked through everything, and can't find a way to remove the additional step in answering calls.
Thanks!

Log in to Google voice on a pc. In options, uncheck the call screen option. Fixed.

Doesn't that depend on your and your calling party's service options?
If the party you call has call waiting feature they will be able to answer your call, if they choose so, otherwise your phone will ring through to voice mail, if available, or you will get busy signal/message telling you that caller is busy, try again later.. That's how it works with my phone service...

and that's all will be done if the destination number already enabled call waiting service and this service working on huawei g610 and all samsung mobiles
