Is there any way to define which folders the HTC music player should use?
It's listing my audio books as well as the music, even if they are in separate folders, and I just want it to list music. I use Audio Book Player for the audio books....

As the title implies I'm looking for a media player that can play AAX files. I'd prefer not to use the audible winmo program if at all possible. I've tried Kinoma but it doesn't play any audio when I tried to listen to an audio book.

If I transfer music files to the Desire which are organised into seperate folders (directories) can I browse the music by this folder structure on the music player or can I only browse the music via Album/Artist/Genre tags etc that are embedded in the music files?

It'll probably depend on the app you use to play the music. They either work one way or the other. The basic Sense player sorts it by artist/album etc.
I had a few songs on my EVO and the player would find them in my music folder. I installed a game and now all the music for the game comes up on the music player.
Is there a way to have the players just look at a certain folder??

I have my music sorted in SD card in dirs which suits for me and I am looking for some player which is able to play music from these dirs- I have miui player and winamp but they look for all music in SGS and sort it by "songs", "artists", "gender", etc. Can you help me?

Stock player as well if you go into settings and click the option to display folders.
Mortplayer. Good for audiobooks as well.
I have tried using built in Music player and Google Music player and non are detecting MP3s I have added to the phone storage.
But I am able to use file explorer to manually play all the musics I have added with those two player.
VLC Player CAN see added MP3s.
What is going on ???
