GW620 has wrong IMEI / SIM card does not allow a connection - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi all,
I have a GW620 since a few days.
I bought an unlock code, since it was locked to the Orange France network.
I typed in the unlock code, and everything went well.
I was able to use the phone, send/receive sms etc...
Then I rooted the phone.
Everything was still ok, i received a call, i was able to send SMSes, ...
Today, I wasn't able to send SMSes anymore, nor calling, receiving calls or SMSes...
I though I'd flash the phone with an original firmware, and that would solve the problem.
After flashing, my IMEI appears to be 123456789012347, instead of my real IMEI...
I don't know if my IMEI was messed up before, but I definately is now, and I'm still not able to make any call or SMS...
When manually connecting to a network, I get error message:
"Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
I tried 2G/3G networking, airplane on/off, rebooting, factory resetting, all kinds of stuff...
I'm pretty desperate. Any ideas?

Anyone?
I'm pretty desperate...

HELP: Cannot send SMS, but MMS, phone calls and data is working

Anyone know what may be up with this? When i try to send an SMS it just sits there attempting to send but ends up saying it has failed. no details on why.
Using data on 2g/3g is fine. I have wiped phone and installed new ROMs twice but the deal is the same.... I can still make/receive phone calls, can send/receive MMS, browser on wifi and 2g/3g is good, just no sms. phone status says i'm connected, phone network settings on *#*#4636#*#* says everything is fine, and I have even switched between AUS and AUS2 bands (i am in australia) but to no avail.
Please help!

Maybe your simcard has lost the smsc number? I don't remember how to edit it on the nexus though.
When did you first encounter this problem?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I first encountered this around the same time i first flashed revolutionHD, but doubt its directly related. I'll look around for the SMSC I need. Will update
experienced something similar at activation. are you porting your number?
ok you were right, my SMSC disappeared. annoyingly i couldn't put it directly into the phone, as it is complaining that there is an update error, but thankfully i use GoSMS and can tell it to use a custom SMSC and so that works.
As for activation, n i wasn't porting my number, this isn't even a new contract, my boss from my old job bought the phone for me outright as a christmas pressie so it is a direct swap.

" Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network "

Hi there,
I'm on vaca for one month in Africa and I am trying to use my sim card but I have this message :" Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network "
I tried two different sim cards but I still have the same issue.
Note that the phone was working perfectly yesterday with my Tmobile Sim Card.
It's an international One X so I don't think that I need to unlock it.
Do you guys have any solutions?
Thank you
it sounds like something tmobile end has changed on your account, if possible i'd call them to see if they can help get it working again
other thing to check is the roaming settings, check its enabled etc
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not using that Tmobile sim card anymore. But an Orange one.
Should I factory reset it and see if it'll work?
Thanks
i had this happen on mine, ive got tmobile sim, it went to tmobile orange signal, i tried to manually switch it back to tmobile (better signal coverage) and it said the same thing.
A reboot didnt fix it so i went into settings, storage, make more storage and then cleared all temporary data for all apps.
this seems to temp fix the issue and allows me to reconnect to my peferred network it still happens every now and then so it could be a software gitch with the hox
Just tried it. Didn't work
I will restore it and see how it goes
Even with the New Rom, Superwipe I still have the same issue ?

[Q] i747 does not receive or issue voice calls

I've got a At&T i747. Unlocked (through the *#197328640# menus) and rooted it. Loaded it with the GOODNESS ATT v2.4 ROM. It worked OK several days, but today the phone stopped issuing and receiving calls without any visible reason and I did not change anything in the settings. When I dial a number, I hear one beep in the headphone then, the phone writes the call is ended. Same is when I call to it from another phone: the calls ends in seconds without connection. Signal indicator shows one or more bars. I have tried to insert another working SIM, but now there is no signal indicator at all. (I tested both SIMS on another phone of mine: both are 100% OK in and out).
The phone does not say there is no SIM in both cases and does not request unlock code.
I have cleared the cache, the Dalvik: no change.
I have re-flashed the ROM: same.
I have changed the Kernel: same.
I have made factory reset: same.
My feeling it is something connected to unlock or modem, but I don't know what tools can check and confirm it.
Does anyone have idea what can it be? And what should I do?

Looks I have found the heeling, but I still do not know what cased the "sickness": I just made again the *#197328640# unlock until I've got the "successful" result. Now both SIMs work OK. and calls can be done in and out.
Does anybody experienced such a problem with unlocking a phone using this method? Is it a temporary solution?
Should I just buy a code from AT&T and forget the whole thing?

[Q] SIM card broke my two phones (can only make calls while just 2g is enabled)

Hi, I recently started having trouble with my gf's phone (Nexus 4 running lollipop 5.0, lte enabled, tmo). It started shortly after I enabled a SIM lock pin on the sim, but not sure if that's the cause or not... The phone started to intermittently drop signal, and would not make calls (it would just appear to be dialing, but you'd hear no ringing and never connect). When I'd restart the phone, I could usually make a call. I tried to fix it by restoring everything the stock image, rechecking the apn, making sure stock radio was installed, etc, but the problem persisted and eventually got to the point that voice calls did not work at all. LTE and data worked to get onto the internet, but once a call was attempted to be made, it'd lose all signal. I discovered eventually that if I switched off lte/4g/3g, and only kept gsm 2g on, I could make a voice call. Next I tried her SIM card in my phone (Note 2 on Android 4.4, t-mobile) and as soon as I put her sim in, my phone started doing the same thing. After switching back to my SIM (that was working just fine, before), now MY phone is stuck with the same problem! (Can only make calls with just 2g enabled). I'm at a total loss. Has anyone experienced anything similar, or do you have possible solutions/ideas on how to fix this?
Solved
For anyone who may be having the same problem, here is how I solved it. I picked up a new sim card from t-mobile, flashed a stock rom via odin (with the sim card not installed), loaded rom, and installed sim, loaded correct apn. Everything works as it should now.

What Brand was her SIM?

Can't place or receive calls; LTE data and SMS works fine

Hey guys, just unwrapped my new N5x and popped in my sim card. Yet for some reason I can't make or receive any calls!
Calls to me go straight to voicemail, and when making an outgoing call it either immediately says call ended or after a while says network unavailable.
The strange thing is that the entire time I'm connected to LTE (full bars) and data works fine (I can use chrome), and I can even send and receive SMS!
It's been like this straight out of the box. I reset the network settings, then factory reset the device, then upgraded to 6.0.1, rinsed and repeated with no luck.
Probably related: I tried setting the phone from LTE preferred to 3G or 2G but it still says connected to LTE. Even did it manually from the *#*#4636#*#* and nothing changed.
I'm using HOT Mobile in Israel and the American version of the phone. All bands are here are supported.
Any thoughts on how to proceed?
Do US specifc models of phones normally work fine in Israel?
I know I had these symptoms when I managed to accidentally swap my UK model to use USA bands. Only potential difference is that I don't think SMS worked for me.
If someone more knowledgeable knows where the "Network settings reset" pulls values from and to, that might help.
Or which partition holds the data that makes a US phone a US version and an EU phone an EU version (assuming it isn't hardware), we could potentially flash stuff.
Yeah they do. I have a friend with a 5x and his phone is working fine. :/
Check your apn settings, re add them again to test.
Maybe your network do not support lte calls, try it on 3g. This was my solution even thought my network supported volte and worked on s6 but not on my 5x.
I see you tried the 3g option, my problem was another app causing the conflict between lte and 3g. Able to source for another spare sim to try?
I deleted the apn settings - no luck. tried 2 different service providers and same results with both
I havnt installed anything yet and wiped the phone to be sure. Could a stock app be causing the conflict? How can I check?
did you try having your friend put his sim in your phone and yours in his to see if it works?
Yep - he's on the same service provider that I am. Didn't work. Also tried a Sim card from a different service provider.
Here is a solution if you still need it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64023143&postcount=10
