I'm not sure if this is the proper place to make this thread, but I'm wondering if there's already a possible way to view the calendar in HTC Sense in an hourly view? Like how Microsoft Outlook looks when adjusting or inputting appointments. I've done some forum searching, but to no avail.
You can't in HTC Sense calendar, but have you tried the outlook calendar on your phone? Should be in Start menu.
I never knew that! Thanks!
For the sake of convenience, I was just curious if it was possible.
My pleasure

Hi Everyone,
I've searched high and low for a solution to this, but haven't had any luck. Is anyone aware of a way to disable the Facebook calendar sync to my Google calendar?
Specifically looking to remove the entries for "friend's" birthdays.
Thanks!
Don't sync your Facebook contacts or the solution below.
Or, to actually answer the OPs question: Just open the calendar app, go to Menu - More - Calendars, and uncheck the ones you don't want to sync.

I also have this problem and I have an HTC EVO 4G LTE running ICS 4.0.3. None of the suggestions I read anywhere on the web worked for me, but I finally found a solution. Open the Google Calendar from your phone/device, and at the top left, there is a drop down menu titled "Calendar." I never noticed that this was a drop down list before, but it is. This is where you will find all of the synced calendars from Facebook and others. I had to uncheck everything, and then add just the ones I cared about. That worked for me; hope this helps.
It appears that there is no search functionality in the calendar. Anyone found a good calendar where you can search and filter?

I have not found any replacement calendars. All the app store has are widgets, that take you to the built in calendar. I want to be able to click links (URL and phone) that are in the calendar body, but this calendar treats the entire entry as un-selectable.
I know the data is there in the database, but I don't know anyone that makes a replacement calendar.
another reason I miss my Aria.
Sense UI had this.
Sense UI Calendar also allowed dialing from Calendar, Contact Lookup (incl. exchange contact search) from Calendar, and url's for webex in the calendar worked.
All 3 of the above don't work properly in Touchwiz or LauncherPro on Captivate.
Quick question... I've just switched back to Sense from CM6, and I'm wondering if I am losing my mind.
Am I right in saying that it is NOT POSSIBLE to edit calendar entries using HTC calendar? That seems unbelievable to me, but so far the only options I can see are to create an entry or delete. There is no "edit" option. I'm 99% certain that the AOSP calendar has this.
Can someone please confirm?
Thanks,
Matt_TX
EDIT: Even more bizarre... I CAN edit entries created on my Exchange Calendar, but I CANNOT edit entries created on my Google Calendars. So weird!
My edit option seems to depend on where the entry comes from. If I add something striaght to the calendar I can edit it as I please. If it's something that sync'ed from lets say Facebook then I can not edit it. My work exchange also syncs and it all depends on what the event is and if it's something I originally made or not. All in all I think it depends on the type of even it is but I will also be watching this thread to see if someone has a little more info they can chime in with.
This is really very strange...
I can add, edit and delete apppointments on my Exchange calendar - regardless of where the entry was orignally made - Phone, OWA or Outlook.
I can ONLY add or delete (NO EDIT) appointments on my Google calendar(s) - regardless of where the entry was originally made - Phone or Web.
Anyone know why this is the case? AOSP calendar works just fine... Is this a bug in Sense?
Hi everyone,
I've been searching for an answer to this one for a while, but no one seems to have this issue.
On may old HTC magic, when I created a calendar event I could choose "More options" and set the event to private. With the one x, this option appears to be missing and all events are created as"default".
I am using the calendar app that comes with the one x (I would prefer to keep using this app if possible, I think this is the google calendar app with a sense skin). I only sync and display google calendar, but I also have hotmail accounts setup on the phone (only sync/display mail with these).
I can create the calendar event and then go to the web version and make it private but this kind of defeats the purpose of creating the events in the phone. I need to make some events private as I have others looking at the calendar to see when I am available but I don't want them to be able to see the details.
Has anyone seen a solution to this? I was really hoping that with the150odd people that have looked at this thread that someone might know of a solution.
The native calendar and one I downloaded called Calendar seem to be in sync with each other regardless of how I set them. I set the native one to my sync with gmail calendar and the new one has a folder/calendar I created. No matter which account I select, the other calendar changes to it. I can't use them as two different calendars. Hope that was clear enough! Any thoughts?

I can't help you directly but have you tried Agenda Widget Plus? It lets you choose which calendars to use (e.g. exchange or google calendars). It's not really a calendar app but has nice widget options
Android basically collapses all calendars into a single view. Depending on the app or widget, you can select which calendars to view, as well as to which calendar a new entry should be saved. The data is kept within each calendar, so if you delete one the other calendars will stay. If you use Outlook, its very much like the overlay view.
Hope that helps clear the confusion.
