Must have apps

Hello fellow forum buddies. I have a Samsung Epic 4G that is currently rooted on Stock DI18. I tend to switch back and forth to the DK28 leak and flash roms quite often when I get bored or what not lol. I have a gift card left over from the holidays with $3.41 left on it (just a regular visa gift card). Since I'm probably never going to use $3.41 at any store or restaurant I thought hey I could use it on the Android Market. I have most of the paid apps for my rooted device that are a must have except widget locker (still debating). Wonder if there is any other good - great apps out there that are a must have for this phone. I also have ADW Launcher EX and Launcher Pro Plus. Just thought I'd throw this question out there to see what I could find. I appreciate everyone in this forum and what you do that help me and others learn about this phone and other phones. On a side note I found out today that my wife and I are having a little baby girl!!! Thanks for all your help.

Congrats man. Little ones are great, too bad the don't stay little lol. Do you already have root explorer? I just go it the other day and I don't know how I've been living without it.

Thanks man and yes I know they don't stay little for long lol. I either need to hit the gym or buy a gun for when she starts bringing boys over lol. Yeah I have root explorer and that is probably my favorite app I have that I bought. Do you have widget locker and if so is it worth it?

If you ever find your self with ****ty reception I recommend roam control. This allows you to force your phone to roam.

Roam Control will definitely be on the list for the future. Don't plan to go anywhere that I don't already have service in right now. I do have a quick question though to you or to anyone for that matter. An AOSP lockscreen for Rooted Stock DI18. Anyone have the link. I won't be able to search. My turn to make dinner but that's what XDA email notifications are for lol. Thanks.

Yeah I flashed it through clockwork and it did nothing lol. No worries I'll find one or figure out how to make one lol. I've got nothing but time on my hands right now. Thanks though I appreciate the feedback.

I knew that. I'm not sure what I was thinking. Do you know of another lockscreen besides this ghey a** Samsung one. I used to like it but now I miss the old school like my Moment had.

Goto lockscreen is pretty cool if you havnt checked it out yet

Also if you like rpgs - zenonia and zenonia 2 are both nice!

[Q] Any iPhone themes?

I searched but couldn't find anything to help me. Does anyone have and iPhone related theme for EB13? Like all the icons look exactly how it does in an iphone and the launcher somehow resembles it as well. Thanks in advance.

I think miui is the closest thing that I have seen...
It is an actual ROM though I thought... I could be wrong...

Yeah there is..
1st. Download The MIUI Rom For The Epic 4g.
2nd. Wipe Data,Cache,Dalvik Cache (Dalvik Cache Is In Advanced) 3 Times.
3rd. Flash MIUI.
4th. Reboot.
5th. After Setting Up Your Phone, Go To Theme Manager.
6th. Click The Theme You Currently Have.
7th. On The Top Right Hand Side Of Your Screen It should Said "Get Themes".
8th. Click On it.
9th. Click On "Online Themes".
10th. Scroll Down into You See The iPhone Theme. (There Is Like 3 I Think)
11th. After Choosing The One Of Your Choice, Go Ahead And Download It.
12th. After That Apply the Theme By Pressing Back Into You are At The First Home Screen When You Open Theme Manager.
13th. The Theme You Downloaded Should Now Appear There.
14th. Just Click On it To Apply It.
15th. Phone should Reboot.
16th. And... Tadada Enjoy!

**ABOUT THESE ROMS**​
These Roms are basically all WIP. They are for any dev that wants to take them over. Im switching to the sgsII and trading my ns4g.. which means I can not work on these
THIS ALSO MEANS THAT I CANNOT PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT FOR THESE!!

I thought of this as a big christmas present, or holiday present, for you guys out there. Its also kinda a farewell gift, so enjoy

I will have the rom, the download, and a not working list for each port. I will not have updates for these, this is up to other devs.

Sense 3.5 Port (2.3ish) (Radiance HD from the Evo 4g Forums! ) ( adb shows mBlockInputEventsBlocked is true when screen or buttons are pressed, so it knows they are there...)

This rom seems to be completely functioning, i have recieved messages and it plays notifications, the touchscreen just doesnt work. So after first boot the screen shuts off, and thats it. This would be a good one to fix

MIUI 4.0 ICS NS4G ( I didnt see this on here for the NS4G, so I got it running. didnt try to fix anything, just got it to boot, and most things worked. )

Nice! I liked how you thought outside the box here. It will be nice if you bring some of your ideas/projects from here over there. The stock ROM has been tweaked in almost every possible way. Getting a Sense port or something really different on that big screen would be nice!

You guys really want TouchWiz? It's terrible. I have an Epic and all we try to do is get rid of it. I guess TouchWiz 4 is ok though.

I have the epic touch and am using my nexus until they can get ics on it touch whiz isn't that bad but its bad enough for me not to want to use the best phone on sprint. Plus I got my galaxy nexus so that's holding me over for the mean time

Many (myself included) felt the same way about Sense. I HATED Sense with a passion when I had my Evo, but some people actually wanted it ported over to the nexus.
It's bizarre... those that have a bloated mess of a launcher/fork want vanilla or themed aosp - and nexus owners with vanilla aosp want the bloated Sense mess.

I personally just wanted something other than stock vanilla, miui, tweaked stock vanilla, cm7 vanilla, themed stock vanilla etc.. so I went for random things that maybe not everyone wanted really bad, like the droid razr port or sense 3.5.
I started to hate aosp on my nexus, it was the worst thing and i would have rather flashed froyo sense..

Added my updated one to the op.

Touchwiz on the Epic Touch is nothing like it was on the Epic. It is blazing fast and smooth. If I could change the icons, I would never use a 3rd party launcher but ADW EX has me hooked right now

[Q] Sense ROM on SGS2(Epic Touch 4G)

Is there a ROM for the SGS2(Epic Touch 4G) with Sense? Is that even possible? I have yet to flash a ROM on any of my rooted devices and curious if there is a ROM with Sense so I can flash it on my SGS2.

There are not currently any Sense roms. In theory its possible but I don't know of anyone working on one for our phone.
You can get close with certain apps on the market.
Honestly, I like Touchwiz better in every way except for the launcher.

I just went to the market and searched 4G Toggle and the very first one looks almost identical to the Sense version.....

Unnamed rom has 4g and data toggles in the notification drop down...
Otherwise if you want a sense rom, get a htc.

I honestly think it's worthwhile to release it. More options is always better than less.

They got the port because they used desire as base. Desire is pretty much a nexus 1 but with sense. If we had a Samsung phone with sense *Maybe* it could be ported

you're kidding right??
If you look at the OP, where it says Files, There is 4.0.4 with the stock theme, 4.0.4 with custom theme, both are complete roms, not themes...

BTW: I lived in Sevierville for almost 5 years. We lived off of Dolly Parton Parkway.

The screenshots are of the custom theme, I figured everyone pretty much knows what stock ICS looks like, so I didn't post any shots of it.
I also live 1 block off Dolly Parton. Small World

...and we lived in a new subdivision thats about a block off the parkway. It was across the screen from New Hope Church. VERY small world!!

Sensei.....this looks impressive. Will report back after flashing. Do you recommend staying with stock kernel.

It's really cool, but the removal of the screenshot from the long press menu ruined it for me. Also it seemed to have some ESPN Sports scores app that couldn't be uninstalled without deleting the apk..
