Google is your friend! Search for T-mobile SIM PIN.... if you had done you would have found this in the first post.. probably quicker than posting here & waiting for my reply too
The PIN code for your T-Mobile SIM card is printed on the delivery slip that comes with the SIM card.
If in doubt, try T-Mobile's default PIN code for SIM cards, which is 1210.
Note that you get three tries to enter the PIN, and your phone will be locked if you fail after these tries. You'll then need to contact T-Mobile to get a PUK code.

1210 or 1212 i think ... dunno should be on the SIM pack on the letter.

It seems that people say to upgrade the rom and it should work.
Some older threads discussed this. The new rom is available at XDA-Wiki
Good luck!
I'm sitting here with my locked cavalier waiting for the unlock code to come to me!

I'll definitely consider ROM's upgrading. Thank you for the advice.
However, I'd like to post some feed-back about people behind http://www.x02ht-unlock.com/
( Dear forum admins, PLEASE do not remove this message. It's quite emotional, but I'm posting it to achieve one of two possible results. And every one of them is positive enough:
- people behind x02ht-unlock.com would hear me finally, and help to solve my problem (and, probably, I'm not the only one who has the same problem, but couldn't get any feedback via the support form);
=OR=
- someone wouldn't spend $50.00 for no result. )
Their support was more than terrible: they replied to all my questions promptly, but only until I finally sent them money for an unlock code ($50.00).
The current state: my phone is still not locked, and no one at support @ x02ht-unlock.com is willing to even talk to me on this problem.
I've done everything according to the instructions, but still get "SIM locked" message. I've sent them my problem's description (and even attached a screenshot), and no one replied to me. I sent problem description via email and using their "Send a question" form. Both both were left without _any_ reply.
It now seems to me, that they're cheating and the program never worked for anybody (someone on the internet can say it works, but who can be sure that he's not the person who receives money for that program?)
Even if the program is working, in fact, but they simply don't know how to solve my problem -- they could tell me about that and offer to return my money (because the program didn't its function). So, it's cheating anyway.

I found some information and just trying
Please try and send ur feedback!
1. Power on phone with a non-original SIM card inserted
2. When prompted, enter unlock code you received from us
Attention! Use the onscreen keyboard and make sure that wireless mode is OFF.
3. Your cell phone is now unlocked
If you see a message Sim lock.. You can still make emergency calls your phone has a blocked counter due to several previous incorrectly entered unlock codes. Plug your phone in charger and wait about few minutes to few days until it allow you enter unlock ...
if tried 1 times = 30 minutes
if tried 2 times = 1 hours
if tried 3 times = 2 hours
if tried 4 times = 4 hours
if tried 5 times = 8 hours
if tried 6 times = 12 hours
if tried 7 times = 24 hours
........15 times = 4 days

sim unlock from t-mobile

I just got the unlock code from t-mobile. Problem is I don't have a foreign sim card which is needed for the unlock code input dialog to show up. Also, in the e-mail, the IMEI is only the first 15 digits, omitting the last 2 digits of my IMEI. NOt sure, if they did this for security reason or they got the incomplete IMEI. Is there another way to input the unlock code?

Dont you know anyone that has a different sim carrier card? teacher, mother, father, cousin, neighbor....
and also, no, its not an error that they only listed 15 digits...the last 2 digits of your IMEI do not count towards an unlock code
hmm, my family all have t-mobile. I guess I need to use a sim card from one of my friends. Thanks guys for clear up my questions.
just go to ur windows folder in ur dash and look for simlock.exe and put ur code there.

that method doesnt works bcoz needs a foreign SIM and simlock.exe detects presence of SIM card module active
not 1 person in your life uses any carrier other than tmobile? why do people make these things so much harder than they need to be. how about this, leave it locked. apparently you dont have multiple carriers or sim cards...when you need to use the phone on another carrier, im gonna guess you will have a sim card for that network. at that point you have all your ingrediants. put the card in, punch in the code and you are done.

What happens if we patch simlock.exe to jump that "locked" state and tell to the phone it is in "unlocked" state? can be done?

How to sim lock diamond?

hi giuys like the header says i would like to sim lock my phone... what i mean is that i want my phone to work only with my sim... i've tried to search on the forum for it but with no results... can you help me???
thanks in advance
hi. first of all, if your phone is sim locked, it not gonna work only with your sim but with every sim card of your network ( vodafone in your case); secondly i've never heard about something or somehow to sim-lock again a phone!!! ask Olinex, may be he knows!!! good luck
i didn't mean the general sim-lock like the branded phones have i mean maybe a lite app that runs when you start the phone and blocks you from using the phone if there is no sim or it isn'tt the sim you've previously registered...
aahhh okayyyy, you mean something like the nokia's phone locking if the sim is changed! i've understood now! i was looking for it me too but i've never found a bit! we'll stay in touch, if i find something intresting i'll tell you ciao

I got what you need but it is shareware [you have to pay for it].
It is for Wm 5 but i think that it will support higher too.
Did you search on google?
Here is the link: [click].
I searched for the "cra**ed" version but all links are dead or fake.
hi thanks for the reply guys
if you can use password protection why bother such thing!!!
okay, password may be broken by software, but same thing for any kind of security also.
anyway, a program can be written such as:
small memory residence program which will check the sim nr. in every few min.
if not matched, will enter into Airport Mode + screen lock
keep checking every few min.
if it matched the nr. stored before (encrypted) will unlock airport mode+screen
or the program will only trigger at the stratup or sim change

[Q] Phone does not work in the UK

Hi All,
I have bought an unlocked HTC about 3 years ago, and basically, this works with any SIM. I have used it all over Europe, with no problems. However I am having trouble using it here in the UK.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
How about some more information, eg what sim, what troubles, etc.

The SIM is Vodafone, and I cannot connect to the network, ie no calls or sms. I tried the SIM in another phone and it works. So it is the HTC that is giving problems. And I am sure that the HTC is unlocked, since I have tried other SIM cards when in Europe and all of them worked.
I have another SIM from Vodafone from another country in Europe, and it does not work either inside the HTC.
Possible cure?
If you don't have a SIM PIN, try setting one. If you already have one, skip that step. Then, try changing your screen security, for example from Slider to a PIN and then back to Slider.
I put a known good SIM in my phone in the UK and had no wireless connectivity until I forced the phone to ask me for my SIM pin while it was running (i.e., not on boot - rebooting didn't help). For some reason, changing the screen security triggered a request to enter the SIM pin, and then suddenly wireless was back.
I can't repeat the cause of the lost connectivity, but I have repeated this cure on subesquent occasions when I've lost wireless.
Take your HTC to Vodafone. There might be some settings missing.

Should I upgrade my Sim Card?

I have been reading some really scary things regarding Sim Cards and viruses or malware or whatever and am wondering if I should change my sim card. A part of me thinks that the idea of a Sim card being infected is silly, but at the same time, I really would not know, lol.
If I were to upgrade my sim card...
Would it put my unlimited data at risk? (Verizon)
How would I go about changing my Sim? Could I use the sim that came with my note 4?
Also, should anyone even worry about their sim cards? o .0
SIM cards are free at corporate stores and you will not lose your unlimited.
Just take your phone in and ask for a new SIM. If they ask why tell them you've been getting errors or something. It takes like 5 minutes if there's no wait.
I don't think you can do a SIM swap online but you probably can by calling customer service from a different phone
Edit: If you call CS for a SIM swap make sure you have your other SIM on hand for the ICCID
Ah.. I see!
I actually tried to do a sim swap at home because google made it seem simple; however, it never worked to my knowledge. At first, I popped in the sim and it said that it was setting up, but never finished. While my phone was trying to activate with the new sim card, I went to the verizon wireless website and tried to activate my phone there, but could not find my phone listed in the section with previously activated phones. I did not try the option to activate a phone that wasn't registered already and just backed out. I did not - to my knowledge - see any screen indicating plan changes so I'm assuming that I did not do anything that could compromise my plan(?). When I dialed the number for activating sim cards, it went to the visual *611 screen and claimed that it did not recognize my number and asked me to log in to my verizon account. After doing so, nothing seemed to happen and it just sent me back to my home screen.
In hindsight, I probably should have stopped after it asked me to log in to my verizon account, but I suppose now all I can do is wait and ask questions to ease my anxiety x_x

You have to call that number from a different phone. Your phone doesn't hold your phone number so just popping a new SIM won't do anything.
You could try to do the "activate device" thing online but I don't know if there's an option to use a different SIM.
