Hey everyone, was wondering if the the desire has the same WiFi chip as the HD2, which allows up to 5 WiFi devices to connect to it and share the 3g signal?
I'm wondering too! Does anybody know?

Has anyone managed to get this working on the Desire. When I try to connect, it says my Bluetooth isn't on.

Anyone?
I guess you're possibly posting here because you have a Desire but you'll prob get a better response posting in the original thread...

This might be related to the problem that
HTC Hero and Desire users are having with another Bluetooth based application, BlueInput, which also uses the HID profile that Wiimote probably uses. The basic problem is that HTC have used a buggy version of the Bluetooth stack. However, this post by Bitbang3r at the BlueInput forum makes the deficiencies in the Bluetooth support for the Desire/Hero/Tattoo much clearer than I can:

Close but no cigar, thanks anyway! I will keep on searching, I am surprised samsung haven't done one for android, as they make android phones although they have released on one on ipod/iphone!

Appologies if this is in the wrong section.

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

No it won't as it's not touching the internet. It's all internal network traffic.
No - traffic that remains inside your LAN won't count towards your data usage limit.
Excellent. Just what i wanted to hear. Thanks guys.
