Not sure wither they really "secured large quantity" or "not alot of people ordered from them" but mehh...
So if you still did not order and you want to get your device from the first batch, go here
When I spoke to them earlier in the week, having consulted the sales director, they told me they had about 400 orders. At that time, they did not know for sure how many they would get in the first batch although they had ordered, if I remember right, about 4,000.

Wow 4000, thats a fortune, ... but it would not be a problem, it will sell like anything. The most important thing though, is that when people get their first Desires the devices should (and hopefully will) be flawless, and doesnt have any major bugs, or else it will effect the sales of the device forever.
I for one waiting for proper reviews and real life experience from people in XDA, before i make my order

Not me! I'm in there! I want mine on Tuesday!
I'm so fed up with WM 6.5 on my HD2. Using the touchscreen for some of the settings (like drop down boxes) behind Sense and on some apps is getting to be a nightmare.
However, I do respect your view.

I hope you get yours ASAP ... and then come back and share with us the holographic experience you're having with the Desire
I think others may beat me to it. Unfortunately, I still keep to the rule of charging a new battery for 12 to 14 hours before first use. I know many people say this is not necessary for these batteries but others say it still is - so better safe than sorry! Mind you, the cost of spare batteries seems extremely reasonable at Handtec.
cant wait for a full review or some XDA member experience its coming, we just have to wait a little bit longer

You should be aware that over charging Lithium Polymer batteries, especially on the first charge, is very bad for them, as is completely flattening them. that's why, with modern devices, once they have died you cant get them to come back on by waiting a while and trying to power up again, it a protection feature!
I know this seems counter intuitive given 20 years of using NiCad batteries but none the less, it is true!
How did I let this thread get by me
I have been speaking with them and told them the situation with Clove. They assured me that they have plenty of stock and will start processing and shipping out orders Monday
So...if I am lucky and get all the Customs [email protected] taken care of ASAP, I should have it by Wednesday
Is Lithium Polymer and Lithium Ion the same battery type?
If yes: http://batteryuniversity.com/partone-12.htm

On his hand Clove seems to be more honest, that's his answer:
We will try and send next week, but we have limited stock arriving and should really ship in chronological order.
Thank you.

yeah I just spoke to Clove to make sure they got my purchase order. They said they find out how many they get on Monday, likely to actually ship on Tuesday. Restocks will come in 2nd April for anyone that misses first batch
Ordered one from Devicewire this morning, shuold have it Tuesday
I've spoken to Hantec today, and they told me they're shipping on Monday and Tuesday. Beginning to look like it's the same for everyone, including T-Mobile.
Just read the following on Hantec's product page:

According to their customer service, it is affecting all UK retailers.
This delay affect all Desir in the world or only UK?
I think I am gonna get a N1 after all

I'd like to warn anyone who is considering purchasing their Galaxy Nexus from Handtec to think twice! Handtec does their business in a VERY unprofessional manner and it may impact you receiving the device you paid for as a result. I pre-ordered a Galaxy Nexus with them on 11-18 in the morning. A few hours later I received an email from them stating " Thank you for your purchase with Handtec..
This email is to notify you that your order has passed all security checks.
Your order is ready to be processed according to your selected delivery options and subject to stock availability.
Once your order is shipped you should receive tracking via email.
Please keep your order number safe for future reference to your purchase."
I later found out that in order to get information from them you have to constantly check their blog site because they don't update their official site with up to date information regarding their products, and even worse THEY DON'T COMMUNICATE INFORMATION REGARDING CHANGES IN PRODUCTS TO THOSE THAT ARE AWAITING THEIR ORDERS! What happened is that due to a bug that effects some Galaxy Nexus devices, HANDTEC STOPPED SHIPPING PHONES OUT unbeknownst to me. They also state on their blog that if you want to still receive your phone, that you have to email them and let them know. Well how the hell am I supposed to know to email you to let you know that I still want my phone IF YOU NEVER CONTACTED ME TO LET ME KNOW I NEED TO DO THAT?!!! I don't check your blog every single day! Ironically enough, I had a live chat with them this morning after checking their blog to confirm that they were indeed shipping. At the time that I checked their blog this morning it simply stated they were shipping devices. I contacted handtec to request that they ensure that my device would be shipped out today. Well apparently later on in the day they updated the blog to state they aren't shipping out anymore unless you email them to request it. Well...SINCE THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME IN ANY WAY TO LET ME KNOW OF THIS CHANGE I NOW WILL BE DELAYED IN RECEIVING MY PHONE.
Handtec is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Customers don't check your blog site everyday multiple times a day. I paid damn near $700 for a device that I EXPECT TO RECEIVE ASAP. If they are concerned if people still want it, then they should email people and let them know their phone will ship, and that if they do not want it, that they should email them to let them know. The concept of by default not shipping someone a product they just paid $700 for is ASININE! The concept that they only communicate updates concerning products people have paid for on a blog site or twitter is EVEN MORE ASININE AND BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL. If I were not a member here at XDA I would never have even known that I needed to email them to have them ship my phone...since the last correspondence I received from them stated my order was being processed...and that when I spoke to them on the live chat this morning they made no mention of this. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. There are people who have ordered from other places that have had much better experiences (like clove, negri electronics, expansys, etc). I wrote this to warn anyone who is considering purchasing from HANDTEC....DON'T DO IT. ORDER YOUR PHONE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
And to those who may say well you only have to wait one more day...it isn't that simple. I expected to receive my phone before Thanksgiving. I will be leaving for Thanksgiving and won't be back for a little while. Fedex will only hold your package for a short period of time, after which they return it to the sender. So this ineptitude on the part of Handtec has caused a problem.
I think you're overreacting, it makes sense that they stop shipping on a defective product, and it also makes sense that they let you know it is defective before they shipped it to you. I'm sure if you lived in an area where you used the 900mhz frequency you would be more grateful.
actually i disagree with you this is a faulty product with a serious flaw until it is rectified they are selling a known faulty device under the pretence that its ok
yes they could've kept shipping like clove but personally i like that they ceased orders rather than ship a faulty product, that in the event of a recall would require everyone to send it back.
we all knew this had happened hours ago
handtec is a good reputable company who chose this option to avoid mass returns due to a potential recall. this way YOU are responsible for returns cause you knew ahead of time that it would arrive essentially broken
however i do think a mass email should've gone out to everyone saying they had ceased and what to do rather than just leave it up to the blog that i do agree with
this thread should be deleted :\
Sooo...you're going to receive your phone a day late?
Have you called the news yet? You might still have time to get it on the 8 o'clock special.
Jokes and sarcasm aside, it sucks when a company doesn't keep you up to date on something that's happening...but they most likely got more orders in a few days than your entire family has ever placed of *anything* in their lives. For a smaller company without a sufficient content-management solution it would be *incredibly* difficult to notify all the users that ordered this device that there was an issue.
Beyond that...you're flying off the handle because you won't get your phone for 1 more day? People that have Verizon were expecting to receive the phone before any other carrier in the world and now we're waiting until the 8th of December (possibly later). You don't see me flipping out about it to Verizon...because I'm an adult who has other things to occupy my time with.
Maybe get a hobby?
As I see it, you received the same email I received. I placed my order on Monday of this week. Not once did I receive an email notifying me of stock arrival, that I discovered on their site as well as here. So I waited, I also learned from these two same sources that they not only checked the stock for a known issue with the device but that they discovered it and halted shipping. Completely professional. The same methods they used to notify everyone of stock arrival is the same method they used to notify everyone that there are issues and they aren't shipping. They even provided you with a way to notify them if you don't mind receiving defective merchandise than let them know. Several did and they received emails of their shipments going out.
I had asked them to ship my product even its defective and they have still not shipped it. I won't be getting by thanksgiving now. I did email them that i am unhappy with it.. i don't think so they cared about that email. Its good thing they did ship the defective product at first time, but not letting customers know about it is bad.

No we didn't all know this happened hours ago. Had I known, I would have emailed them. They made absolutely no attempt to notify their customers of this change. If they are going to err on the side of not shipping, THEN THEY SHOULD AT THE VERY LEAST NOTIFY THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY WAITING. Completely unprofessional.

I read very well, actually. I read your post saying you'd be out of town and wouldn't be able to get it right away. How long is out of town? Since you didn't say, my guess would be a matter of days. I'm going to be out of town this coming weekend, as well, and if Verizon launches the phone this weekend I'll say, "Hmm. Well I guess my life comes first and I'll have to pick up the phone when I get the chance in the future".
Once again, because I'm an adult and have priorities that outweigh receiving a gadget before everyone else that won't have an effect on my life in any way.
I understand you're mad, but you're flying off the handle and about to burst a blood vessel because you might have to wait awhile for a device that just released. If this isn't a first-world problem, I don't know what is.
When I was in the military I didn't complain and cry because I was going to miss Christmas...because I understood what the word "priority" meant. Put it on the backburner and get it when you get it. It's *really* not that big of a deal.

I've bought lots of stuff from both Handtec and Clove and never had a problem that was within their control. They rely on both distributors and Samsung to receive their products (they don't get product direct from Samsung) and, with high-demand devices, the communication can get muddled. Samsung's not exactly communicative.
If this has you wigged out, you definately shouldn't have imported a phone. If it needs service and you have to be without it for a month while it's repaired in the UK you will probably go apoplectic.
As far as not notifying (those that have preordered) people by direct email correspondence (at the time the decision was made to stop shipping) is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned, and if they don't have the ability to send a batch email of this type is not my concern.
In the future this type of business practice will weigh heavily on my decision whether or not to purchase from Handtec.
You are missing the point of my statement. For pre ordered devices, Handtech has a method in which they notify people of when they receive stock and that is their blog. I could understand you being upset if they emailed you saying it was in and then didn't email you to tell you to communicate if you want them to send it now. But that didn't happen. But I get it, you are angry, you wanted it before your trip, so don't do business with them. There is an entire other thread for Handtech and most over there seem to be happy with how they have handled it.
PS: Also, we know this issue effects 900mhz bands, none of us know how 850mhz will work out. For a $700 device, as you pointed out, wouldn't you want to know the issue isn't happening here in the US too?

First, save your little internet catch phrases for someone else. And quite frankly I don't really give a damn about what you thought when you were in the military. That has absolutely no bearing on what I'm discussing. The bottom line is, I'm not receiving what I was supposed to be receiving when I was supposed to be receiving it, WHEN I PAID TO RECEIVE IT WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE IT. It's that simple. Due to a company's ineptitude and unprofessionalism this situation has arised. If you can't seem to grasp that then I don't know how else to put it to you. When I pay for something I expect to receive it according to the terms I agreed to when I paid for it. I don't think that's asking too much. At the very least if there is a change, I expect to be notified in a proper manner of the change. All they had to do was email me, and I would have responded immediately and all of this could have very easily been avoided. Instead they gambled that I might check their blog for a 2nd time today instead of notifying me directly. That is unacceptable. If you can't see that then I don't know what else to tell you.
You ordered on the 18th right? Defects aside, you do realize no one knew on that day when they would actually be receiving their shipment? If you were familiar with importing a device, or asked ahead of time you would have known that "Expected Stock Dates" are in flux until they get it in hand.

What a ridiculous over reaction by the OP. Yes it's frustrating and had I not been keeping an eye on this forum I might have missed the blog entry. I've chosen to take delivery of my device but I still think Handtec made the right decision. The way it was communicated was poor but have clove etc done a better job? No they haven't.
In the end I emailed them at 5.30pm (UK time), I received an email with the tracking ref at 7.05pm and a final email from customer services at 9pm. (NB they ordinarily shut at 5.30pm).

This has nothing to do with Handtec not communicating with their customer and them HOPING you happen to go to their blog site. If the last email you received from them tells you that your order is being processed then you may not ever even check their blog...because you're under the impression that your order is being processed. Since they never contacted you to tell you any different you have no reason to believe different and would therefore have no reason to check their blog. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!

You're missing the point. Their method of communication is inadequate. It operates on the assumption that you will continuously and repeatedly check their blog. Let me remind you that I DID CHECK THEIR BLOG THIS MORNING BEFORE GETTING ON THE LIVE CHAT WITH THEM. I don't know about you, but I tend to not check company's blogs several times per day. I checked it today and that information was not there. THIS is why they need to communicate directly with their customers. Posting on twitter or a blog IS UNPROFESSIONAL! Furthermore, some people may not ever check their blog...so how will they get information about THEIR ORDERS?...look at it this way, if the last email you received from them tells you that your order is being processed then you may not ever even check their blog...because you're under the impression that your order is being processed. Your argument would be valid if there was a definitive shipping date, and if the phones weren't defective.
For what it's worth, I just received an email stating shipments are on hold and the reasons. Professional? Like I said, with prdordrrs never hold the estimated dare on stone, will lead to disappointment.

Own a Nexus S. Thinking about upgrade to GN.
In Hong Kong, we got a message that Samsung has stopped the production of GN. Shops are offering final sales at HK$3700 / US$474.
It is a good price to buy. But it is very strange to see that Samsung has stopped the production so early, 5 months after release. GN was just released in November.
Is it possible that GN's hardware is buggy and Google needs to issue a new version?
I tried to look for answers in forums. But no luck. Pls give me some hints. thank you!
Any software bugs don't worry me. I am using CM9. I believe in the power of open source community.
So far, I've been more than happy with my GNex.
I bought mine on release day.
Only issues so far have been software related so I flashed AOKP and have never looked back.

Do you see any screen "burn"?
There are no bugs, the global market version is just dropping everywhere. Its a steal I think. Its a low volume model and they're just trying to sell them.
There are price threads right in this forum talking about it.
Only issues I've had so far have been software-related and nothing related to hardware.
No hardware is perfect. And quality control is a lot worse than you'd like to know. That being said, I highly doubt that Google will quietly "refresh" the hardware. The phones been out too long, they're not doing that and there are no blatant defects.

Does the life cycle of a smart phone become much shorter now? released less than half a year, then stop production.

Carriers will not continue to sell devices if:
1. The contract they have with the OEM does not require it.
And
2. Sales are not doing well. They will not continue to buy devices if they are not selling.
Hardware does not have to be the reason.

Anyway, after reading you guys' comments, I have decided to buy one. thx for the info!
Hope I can get one since it was out of stock for the last week. GN is so hot in HK.

Google doesn't sell the device directly.
They're going to have another Nexus in 6 months anyways.

What about the google shops?
This device is the best selling nexus yet.... period!
There is not a major hardware defect and 6 months has been the shelf life standard for the last year or so. Verizon has sold over a million nexuses and sprint just did this...

If I may contribute:
A few weeks (maybe 6 or 7) after I got the GN, there was a problem with the microUSB connection. It would not charge if it was on, either from a USB port or the wall charger.
To charge it, I had to turn it off or pull the battery several times and connect it while it was still off. Even then, I had to try several times until it finally did charge.
After almost two weeks of that, everything went normal again. To this day, I have no idea whether it was hardware or software related.
Here's a thread with people having a similar issue.

You mean #imbeciles?
Anyway, Verizon and Sprint's sales does not reflect what is (or is not) happening in China.
The phone is still produced in Brazil as "Galaxy X" (as Nexus brand is already used by another company that did not allow Samsung / Google to use it to promote the phone), and recently has been introduced to Sprint users, so, my guess is that either it won't be produced/sold in your country or someone is misinformed...

Anyone lost their money from them?
I actually bought twice from them in the past but this time it's been more than 2 weeks and my order still shows New. A friend told me that his order is still new after 40 days. I know they will ship it at some point in time, maybe 2-3 months but I was actually thinking to cancel the order. On the other hand it's about 100EU cheaper than anyone else. All those issues with HOX also made me cool down and add a plus on those thoughts and I'm also making thoughts for SG3.
I know, all review sites on Internet have them very low rated (one star) but still they are by far the cheapest.
Any of you guys lost his money from them?
I didn't personnally buy from them but when i was planning to i did a little a search and found that it's really not recommended, some product arrive very late others never.
Yeah, when I saw those reviews I just didn't care anymore... I'd rather pay 100€ more and actually receive the product than to pay less and get burned...
Now th big concern is if you cancel or not. I've seen that most people who lost their money is when they attempted to cancel orders or claiming funds. That gives them the chance to "confuse" things and keep your money while not sendingany product. Here's the question: to cancel or not to cancel?
I'm a gambler so, I'll take my chances and play heads or tail. I'll give some more days though but in the meantime I recommend that noone uses them. I guess that some people, like myself, don't learn from our past mistakes.

I ordered an HTC Desire HD from them last year. It was taking ages and I cancelled the order. They only cancelled it after 2 weeks chasing them about the cancellation. Finally, after a couple of weeks and tons of emails and threats I got a refund. They have awful support and I do not recommend ordering from them.
Not to mention that the product comes from Hong Kong, so you will need to contact HTC to check if they cover warranty.
I bought my LG Optimus 2x from them, it took ages to arrive but it did in the end. It was a hell of a lot cheaper than everyone else too. Heard some bad things about them so I probably wouldn't use them again though.

I bought 2 cameras from them till date and they both arrived in time as described. The 2 purchases were a year apart. The second camera though had a European battery charger. Apart from the above I haven't had to use warranty on either indicating the items must be genuine.
Mind it - for whatever good or bad reason, I hadn't researched anywhere before buying from them. Had I known about their reviews, I would not have bought from them.
My friend recently purchased ipad2 from them but cancelled it before they despatched and got refunded without any hassle.
Don't know what to advice you but hope the above experiences shared help.

Not worth the trouble!
Just come across this post and thought I'd share my experience (to back up the thousands of others you can find on the net) about how ridiculous SimplyElectronics are as a company and to avoid them if you care for your sanity.
I placed an order for a Galaxy Nexus on 30/06/12, enticed by the low price and 'expect delivery in 2-4 days' advertisement. After 6 days of the order being stuck at 'New' (which I found out means that they haven't even processed the order, it means they have accepted your offer of purchase, which means that they take the money out of your bank, and then do nothing for a while) and after sending a few emails asking why my order hadn't been processed even though the Live Stock Report said there were plenty in stock, I decided to cancel my order on 5/06/12. They asked me why, I explained that I needed the phone as I work offshore and was going away, and had ordered it elsewhere from a more efficient company. They said they understood my decision and my refund request had been passed to the relevant department. I left it for a few days. Then when 10 days later the money hadn't been returned I started emailing them again. I have now been sending emails daily asking for my refund, yet 24 days after cancelling my order I'm still receiving apologetic emails saying they're trying their hardest.
I guess the short version of my warning to others is this is not a company you should conduct business unless you have the patience of a God. I know from looking around other sites I'm not the only one who has been a victim of their incompetence. I'm sure they have 10's of satisfied customers all around the globe, I just wish I'd done more reading first. If you can find the product elsewhere that costs slightly more than they are selling them for, pay the extra, it will save you alot of time.

becouse i think about possible problems with the device
I've posted on Facebook, Google + and anywhere else I could think of after my recent attempt to get a One X from them.
Web showed stock, blurb said dispatched & delivered in 3 to 8 days. Took my money immediately and then the problems started.
Used Barclaycard fraud department to get my money back while I fought SE for a refund. 13th May to today spookily enough to get my refund.
God knows how many calls & emails...
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
And if you already have, use your card company to get your money back.
Just stop right here. If any manufacture start too sell massively obviously some phones will have problemes like 10%. If you see the most popular phones have problemes.
I've got mine and its a model ht23 without any problemes its the first hox I have and the only.
And with expansys you will have internacional warranty for 2years and houses for support on your country. Trust in expansys!

I did indeed NerdGuy, sorry! But working with Simply Electronics the months just seem to blend into each other it takes that long. I was told today that my refund will be with me within 7 days, I'm neither holding my breath nor stopping the daily emails, after 27 days of asking I fail to believe they'll pull their finger out any time soon.
I learnt the hard way also over a month to get my 500$ back. Since then anything expensive I buy in person regardless if it's $100 cheaper online.

Seems they got the price wrong and changed it quickly to £479.00 on launch, you would assume they would refund the difference but their support staff are being very cagey with their responses.
Anyone else in this situation or heard anything from Google?
I have an escalation case open with them at the moment for exactly this case. While not exactly, but the cause is the same.
I wanted the 64g, keyboard and type-c cables., but when I saw the price I said, you have to be kidding, thats far more than the 32g in comparison to the US price. Approx £150 more for the extra compared to £80 now.
I ordered the 32g, keyboard and type-c cables, not willing to pay £550
The next morning, I saw it was down to 479, so I tried to cancel the 32g and order the 64g, knowing that only 12hours had been wasted in processing time.
I couldn't cancel and they want 14 days for a refund and I buy the other one and wait another 3 days processing and 2 days shipment.
I wasn't happy and am waiting for them to sort it out. So wont open the boxes until I know. Really poor first experience directly from google.
They should just refund you the differance, as you could send it back, costing them money, but they have been rather intransigent with me so far, so who knows.

Yeah, if Google don't refund the difference the tablet will be sent back for a refund, I might have let it go if it was a small difference but £79 is substantial enough to be an issue and worth the hassle.
I've spoken to two people and they're been very unhelpful, they are not clued up and will only go as far as to say they're investigating the issue, bit of a shambles really.

You are more forgiving tham me I have to say.
If it was £20 they should refund, as it was clearly their error, or they are out to screw over their keenest supporters.
I've had no response from them all day today, so maybe its the US support that is great and the UK useless, as I read others have had great support from google in the past.

Ditto, really unimpressed. Courteous support staff but they have no idea what to do and from what I was told today they don't seem to have the necessary tools to allow them to do a partial refund.
The amount of wasted time and transport in sending out another tablet, just for me to box it up and return it again so that they can process a refund is ridiculous.

They are keeping me updated but it's basically the same information over are over again, they're investigating.
I will give them a few more days into next week and then I'm going to tell them to come and collect it.
Have you both asked for the case to be escalated? Presume so.
Not that it makes a differance, as they have not replied to me since the 10th.
For a premium product and their error, its quite staggering they do not know what to do.
I hope you get it sorted.

That's really bad timing, I just got the same email.
It's completely their fault for making us wait almost a week without an answer, another day and I would have done the same.
I don't suppose there's any chance of getting that parcel back? If it's just been dropped off you might have a chance, I'd give them ring.
Thank you for your recent order from the Google Store.
During checkout it appears you were charged an additional £70 on top of what we had originally intended the Pixel C to be priced at for your region. We have gone ahead and applied a refund for this amount back to the original payment method used for this purchase. This refund may take a few days to reflect with your financial institution.

Well sounds like they did the right thing in the end. Although bad timing and so long!
After 6 days, with them ignoring my email, I spoke with support about my screen issue (which they appear to have resolved, still testing) and the support guy fully understood and agreed 6 days was not acceptable.
He stated he would take ownership and give me a proper answer, although thats what the previous guy said too!
Glad it sort of worked out for you both.
I purchased a water damaged Nexus 5x, took the time to tear it down, clean the board and connections. It's back to life! The problem is, as with most any water damaged phones, the battery is in need of replacement. Looking around my usual channels (ebay, google) I'm not able to find any. The exception at the moment is one listing in the US for an absurd $90, and another in Spain for a slightly reasonable $35, but with $15 shipping. Anybody around here know where a more affordable replacement can be procured?

I appreciate the link, but that battery is the BL-T9 for the Nexus 5 haha. I probably did come across those places during my intense googlin'. I'd be interested in knowing if the battery is interchangeable in some relatively easy way. But that, too, is hard information to come by.

In my opinion it is relatively easy in a sense that it's possible without too much effort. However it is not easy to the point where it's something that you're going to be able to do on the fly. I would plan on 5-10 minutes to change the battery. See the ifixit teardown of the Nexus 5X, you should be able to figure it out that way.

I did a quick lookup. While they've got a few negative reviews on the BBB website, the people are complaining about poor customer service in the event of issues with the parts. So at least people are getting parts from them. Everything else seems legitimate enough. They accept paypal, so I'm confident enough to try. Thanks again, I looked and looked for hours and couldn't find anything in the US, let alone under $40 after shipping.
What did you pay for your water damaged phone? I had an opportunity to buy a previously submerged 5x for $120, but that seemed a lot for a potential paperweight.

I'm sorry, I just now saw you already asked that. I lucked out and got mine for $80. Complete gamble, but I had a good feeling about it. Wouldn't power up, but after cleaning off a few corrosion spots it fired up. Now behavior points to the battery needing replaced and I'll be good to go.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but fixez is bull**** for that battery right now. I saw your post and had to recover my password to reply to you but I am so annoyed by that company that I had to reply. So I watered my 5x a couple weeks ago and dried it out but it would not charge. So I figure it's the battery. Looked online, ebay has one from spain, one US guy has a used one for 60 bucks, fixez has them, and then some sites in the UK and Germany. I put an order in with fixez, and then a day later got my shipping confirmation yay!! on my way to getting back in business!! Then the next day I get a call and email saying that the item is backordered and should be in stock in a bout a week. I emailed back and told them that their site still has it shown as in stock and I asked them if they ever had the item in stock, and if they have ever actually shipped this item before. They ignored my questions and said we should have it in 7 days. 8 days later I emailed them and asked what is up and reminded them again that their website still lists it as in stock. They said they would let the tech guys know about the website error, but that the item should be available in a couple days.
Well I emailed them again with the same thing: that their site still has it shown as in stock and I asked them if they ever had the item in stock, and if they have ever actually shipped this item before. And I also asked for a "real" time estimate. I then got the same email and phone call that said that the item is back ordered and that they expect it in stock in about a week. So it went from "in stock", to "about 7 days", to a "couple days", back to "7 days" and the website still says it's in stock. So I ordered from rounded.com (total plus shipping came out to $35.24) and canceled my order with fixez, and now I wait to see if that works out. Rounded has emailed me to let me know that my order has been completed, but I was given no tracking number. If I had just ordered from rounded.com instead of fixez, I would already have my new battery by now. The refund from fixez came through right away.
Hope this helps.

The bubble was already popped for me, haha. When did this happen to you? The exact same thing happened with me. I made the order that day, got a tracking number within an hour, then yesterday got a call saying the exact thing. I missed the call, but the guy left a thorough message stating it was out of stock and they were expecting stock within seven days. Weird thing was I got an email a few minutes after the call from a different company quoting a different order number saying the exact same thing. When I returned the call at the number it came from, I got yet another different company name. I get that they could all be run by the same group of people, but it's far from confidence inspiring despite the good communication. I'll have to look into the site you mentioned.
And YES, the lack of battery on eBay is crazy. I'd have been better off ordering it from Spain, at least I'd have it by the weekend if I ordered when I very first saw it. The dude in the US that has the USED battery originally wanted $90 for it. I messaged him asking to make the price more reasonable for a pulled unit, and he did incremental drops over the next two hours to where it's sitting now. I told him about pricing other places have for it and offered 35 for it, and he said he couldn't go that low. Dickhead is trying to take advantage of the lack of availability. For his used ass battery... I ordered an extra unit from ifixez just to sell it for half his asking price just to spite him haha.
I put in my order with rounded.com yesterday and canceled my order with fixez today. I still don't think they ever had the battery in stock, or shipped one to a customer. I just don't understand why the would go through all the effort replying to me, calling me, misleading me, just to keep a $35 order active. Oh well. Hopefully rounded.com comes through. Good luck!!

Good luck!!

Thanks, hopefully it's just an issue with supply. I honestly don't think they're trying to be misleading, I think it's just a bunch of young people that don't really know what's going on haha. I'll wait it out another week and see what happens. Keep me posted on your order from rounded, I found them in my initial search, but was holding out for a US-based merchant for impatience. Looks like the joke's on me haha.
I just saw this thread on reddit, relevant to the 5x battery

Hey, that was me! I actually saw this thread when researching options for the replacement battery. I took the PCB from the original dead battery and it fit perfectly with the G2.
I have excellent battery life with the G2 battery so far, the only issue I have is my phone wont give out any battery percentage. But it lasts all day easily and I just charge it overnight so no issues at the moment.
I got the phone dead from Swappa so I'm also waiting to hear if that rounded.com battery works out.
