How can I dump the rom?

Hello everyone, I'm from China and I got a new CDMA 1X Pocket PC Phone which runs on WM 6.0. But I don't know the hardware of this device. It's an engineering sample. What I know is that this device use Intel PXA 27X CPU.
In this case, how can I dump the rom of this device?
If not, is it useful or helpful for anyone who doing the research of CDMA device in order to make WM 5.0 runs on Harrier(CU928 in China)?

[REQ] Internet Explorer 5? CAB

The dealbreaker app for me is PIEPlus. So I was disappointed to find it does not integrate with the new version of IEmobile cooked into the latest ROMs based on WM6.5 (is it PIE/IEM 6?).
Does anyone have a CAB to install the older version of PIE over the new version?
There are noises that PIEPlus will be updated for IEM6, but I'm not holding my breath.
Seems a shame to downgrade to WM6.1 just to get my beloved PIEPlus to work.

How do you tell wich WM version is running?

Hiya, I have a HTC Cruise and wnat to know which version of WM is running. I ask this as I sent HTC an email about their upgrade to 6.1 and the info they sent back was a ROM update with the same ROM version.
My phone device info is:
ROM version of 1.26.710.1 WWE
ROM Date of 12/17/07
Radio Version of 1.58.21.23
Protocol Version of 25.65.30.04H
To me the above numbers dont mean a heck of a lot but I hope they do to someone else..
The "About" screen indicates it is "Windows Mobile 6 Professional" (if it is 6.1, should it say "6.1"?)

If it indicates that, then it's the WM version, some devices don't have the most recent Windows Mobile update from HTC.
If you wan't to try, usually you must use cooked ROM's from XDA Dev's.

doubt about wm version

i was reading some post in these days about personalized themes and other stuff and often i read that most of this things works for windows mobile 6.5 or 6.5.x
Well, my htc hd2 ( buyed here in italy ) mount the 6.5 wm but i read something different on my phone: in my Info Software panel i can read the os version that is 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82 ).
I'm pretty confused now....
Maybe i can update the os?

anyway i didn't understand yet why in most post it's mentioned 6.5.x or 6.5 if the wm version are the only that i posted up here...

can someone help me just to understand?
for example, in a thread it's write that the a kind of task manager can work for WM6.5.X (28205/23518) ROM ( i dont know why the site don't allow me to insert the link ).
How i can check out what kind of WM version i have installed?
As i wrote already, i can read that i have installed 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82 )
So...may i upgrade my windows mobile or i'm misunderstanding something?

What exactly are you asking? You're running Windows Mobile 6.5, if that's your question. You are NOT running 6.5.x, though if you search you will find plenty of 6.5.x ROMs for your Leo. The numbers you're seeing on the info panel are simply the Windows CE kernel version and the Windows Mobile build number, both of which are irrelevant for most people.

5.2 is the Windows CE Version
21869 is the build number
5.0.82 is the AKU
There's a list somewhere stating that 5.0.x AKUs are WM 6.5
The newest 6.5.x builds have a higher AKU i.e. 5.5.x
They also have a higher build number like i.e. 23534
There's also a list somewhere stating which range of build numbers belong to which version of 6.x
I agree it's a bit confusing in the beginning.

I was asking if the phone has installed wm 6.5, cause i was read in the info panel that number that you explain now that is the kernel version

So, the phone have installed the wm 6.5 until i use the official ROM released from HTC support.
It change only if i install, for example, a different rom donwloadble from here.
Am i right?

down grade from wmo 6.5 to 6.1 on tp2

is it possible to down grade from wmo 6.5 to 6.1,and if it's possible can someone please direct me to were i can download the software

you should read up on it to be sure but normally a flash it a flash it don't matter if you go to a newer or older rom

I don't see the US version. Can someone direct me to where I can get windows 6.1 rom for HTC pro 2 sprint for US version.
