auto-restart - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

how do i disable it or is it even possible? i hate how the damn phone always turns on if i ever take the battery out when it's in bootup. this continuously has caused me problems when i flash a bad ROM. right now, i cannot get past the att bootscreen, so it never allows the phone to charge until after it completely dies. of course, once it has enough power, it automatically turns back on, gets stuck on the bootscreen, once again and then slowly dies. The cycle just repeats

[Q] Phone wont turn on after battery depletion

I am having troubles booting my phone after the battery depletes and the phone shuts off. My Optimus G is rooted with lifeless Rom v14 and I have TWRP recovery.
So once the phone dies, I plug it in to charge, and the phone screen automaticaly comes on and the LG logo flashes for a second, but nothing happens. The phone doesn't actually charge. If I remove the phone from the charger, the display still stays on until I hard reset it. I cannot access recovery mode or download mode for some reason. Usually when my phone dies, and I plug it in, it will flash the LG logo, keep the display on for a few seconds, and then shut down and restart and show the battery logo charging. I am not getting that this time, and I can't seem to do anything to get it operating again. There also isn't a red LED light to represent charging either. If anyone has had this issue before or knows how to fix it, I'd really appreciate the information right now.
Thanks

I had the exact same problem last night. (weird) I held down the power button for ~15 sec, and let the phone sit for about 15 min. I booted it and got it to load into TWRP and then put it on the charger. Let it charge in TWRP to around 10% and then booted into android and let it charge overnight. I had a mild panic attack at first but all is good now. Stupid software dependent charging.

Ok, that's definitely weird... I came to XDA because of this, it happened to me 2x and I did the same as you, let it charge in CWM till 12% ( shower time) and reboot the system. I'm not sure what exactly is causing the issue, it shouldn't be a software problem.
To try to find what's going on, lets talk about what we have in common:
ROM: Houston stock international (stock 4.1.1)
Charger: Non LG charger (htc)

HTC One X Powering Off Right After Booting

Hello all,
Let me start off the message by mentioning that I have been a (altogether) very happy user of cyanogen mods with my last 3 android phones.
The last and current (but it seems not for long) is an HTC One X, which is over 2 years old.
This poor thing has gone through so many ROMs that I have lost count.
It is currently running on a stable cm10.2.1, upgraded from cm10.1.3.
I have experienced sudden power offs when there were obvious battery drain, battery overheat, weird app installation issues, especially since moving to cm 10.2.1, which also caused the GPS to stop getting any satellite signals.
However, the phone has recently (a couple of weeks) leveled up into a bizarre mode:
It will power off all of a sudden, the battery levels are not low 65-75%, so I would assume it was just some process in the background, and go ahead and start the phone up again to go and check through the logs, or even disable/cleanup dodgy overreacting apps. But to my surprise, the phone passes the quietly brilliant screen, as well as the CM logo with the circling arrow and as soon as you can see the background it shows Powering off - the phone is shutting down.
For those brief couple of seconds I can see the battery indicator (top right corner) showing a small part of it in red, letting me believe the battery's status is critically low. So I let the phone charge for half an hour, and start it up again, with the same result, once the device goes past the logo and the background shows, the Powering off message appears again. The battery indicator is still showing a small red circulating section of the whole.
The next step was to go and check in recovery mode. The battery on the TWRP screen shows almost 70%, and this leads me to assume there is something wrong with the battery. But the phone is not turning off for as long as in recovery mode. I still haven't ruled out the battery issue, and will test it when I get delivered and replace the spare one I have ordered.
Reading through forums and other threads, there were people complaining that they had the same issues when the phone was trying to change from 2G to 3G and the other way around, so I removed the sim card and have restarted the phone, still the same result, powering off after boot.
I also reflashed 10.2.1 thinking that a clean installation will help getting rid of some new app/processes that might be causing this, but exactly the same powering off occurs after booting. The same happens even after a factory reset.
Usually, after half an hour of inactivity the phone would start up normally, but today it has been several hours and the behavior is not improving.
At this point I can't get into the phone other than on recovery, I can't copy from/into its storage anything, not even the nandroid backups I regularly do (and which stupidly I haven't copied over to an external storage). I could try reflashing some stock image, but even that I don't have on the internal storage.
So as you see, I am bit stuck. Phone will not stay ON long enough for me to connect to my machine and save my backups, or load any new stuff.
If you have any other suggestions other than this, or perhaps a workaround to what I have already tried, I would extremely appreciate it.
Cheers,
Mad
I have the same problem..
I have tried everything, but nothing helped me.
Now my battery is 0% and i cant do nothing - cant charge it, cant boot in bootloader.
Something heppened when you changed the bettery?

Sprint SIII Turning off randomly

Hi, I've been trying to find out how to fix an issue with my SIII. My phone will turn on when it has full charge and will turn off after like 3 minutes, then turn off and show my phone charging at about 90%.
When i turn it back on it will turn back off at the spash screen or even when when it gets to the home screen. If i turn on the phone in recovery however, it will stay until it reaches 0% charge. I have hard reset the phone and nothing
I've even tried flashing different roms and i still encounter the same issues. I can only get the phone to turn on to the OS and run perfectly for a few minutes when the charge is at 100%. even with the charger connected... rarely it will stay on for a very long time until i try to do alot of things with it.
Anyone ever encouter this issue or can help guide me on how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

LG G3 won't boot up, bootloops while charging

Okay so, my LG G3 has had a problem with restarting and bootlooping before this. Basically, it would restart if used while not plugged in and would not boot up if not hooked up to a charger. Before this, plugging the charger in would solve the boot loop issue, but now, that leads to a different issue.
So, I was using my phone (while it's charging) and suddenly - screen goes black. After a few seconds, the battery loading screen (an icon of a battery with a small circle with several spokes in the middle of the battery icon) pops up. I hold the power button and the LG logo pops up and then goes back to the battery loading screen. which just bootloops if left alone.
Now, the phone CAN boot into recovery and bootloader (although it sometimes fails, it's like the device restarts mid-way through). In TWRP recovery, it shows the battery at 100%, although after rebooting into recovery again after some time, it displayed 75% (i never took the phone off the charger).
Sometimes while in recovery and the device is not plugged in, it'll restart, but that's kinda... normal, I guess, it used to do that before.
My PC recognizes the phone and I can access the data on it via USB without any problems.
I'm almost positive that the battery is the culprit, since a few hours before this started happening, it drained 20% in 5 minutes and in general, after it restarts randomly when not charging, the battery goes from 100% to 90% and if restarted again goes back to 95% or something like that. But does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I won't be able to buy a new battery for a few days and I need the device in working order until then.

Strange bootloop issue. Unable to flash to stock.

My LG G3 had recently bit the dust, rebooting a couple of times with the battery level jumping before refusing to turn on. Before this, and now, if turned off and charging, it will continuously boot to charge, then turn off, only to repeat.
Now trying to boot brings up the LG logo for about a second before it shuts off and tries again, trying to boot into recovery shows this same issue. I have tried to use this guide here http://lgg3root.com/lg-g3-root/how-to-unrootunbrick-lg-g3/ However when ever it gets to the "Waiting for reset 20 sec" stage, it reboots, starts to charge, then shuts off only to repeat.
Any advice, or is it dead?
I have charged the battery to 100% externally before attempting this.
