[REQ] Yahoo Fantasy Football App [Windows Phone]

Umm…Yahoo only released Fantasy Football apps for Blackberry and the iPhone and I am quite sure that there would be a lot of people interested in a solid app for WM. If there is someone interested in creating or porting such an app I would be more than happy to donate to such a project.
Important Functions
Ability to track multiple leagues at the same time
Ability to see real time score updates
Ability to pickup/drop players
VGA Support
If someone is willing to develop such an app…I will start a bounty and also get community input as to which other features would be important.
Please only post here if you are a developer that is interested in creating such an app or if you are an end user that would donate if an app were created.

I would like this but the mobile site is actually pretty good. My friend has the yahoo fantasy football app for the iphone and it kinda sucks. you can do way more mb going to the fantasy mobile site. If someone wanted to put in the time to develop a good fantasy football app that would be cool though.

The mobile site is blah...yeah it works...but it is ugly and the UI...is blah
My firend also has the iPhone app and they just updated it yesterday and it rocks...you can do it all on that app now...it has came a long way.
P.S. Don't get me wrong the iPhone sucks!

I do and don't agree. The m.yahoo.com/fantasy site seems to work pretty good for me. How would you want to change it? the site's readable, and seems pretty simple to move around. I'm all for the app, even if it's because my friends in my league have it...

I would love this for all Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. I am an avid player of Baseball, Football AND Hockey and would dearly love an app for this.
Not that it's germane to this forum but I'd dearly love to see a similar app for Media Center as well. Alas...

i agree yahoo and many other major sites and companies drop the ball when it comes to creating apps everyone makes apps for iphone and BB because wm devicesget no love witch i understand to a point the earlier wm devices werent very good but now especially with htc devices they have finally started to click. Im dting for a yahoo fantasy app like the one for the iphone. all these companies piss me off by not making wm apps but not enought for me to get a ****ing pos iphone

I know I am asking for the world …but if someone was to...dare I say…port the latest iPhone app I would be ecstatic, delighted, thrilled and overjoyed!

Mobile site works good for me, but I also was looking for an app...oh well

Does any one know here I can get a a dump of the iPhone app???

I'm sad that this thread died. In hopes that ANYBODY cares about Fantasy Sports and can write an app, there are people willing to pay for it. At least I am.

Just wanted to know if ANYONE has ANY REAL screen shots of WM7 yet.
I am very amazed that Microsoft have kept thier cards close to thier chest !
I hope that this new OS is something radical, if not....I'm going to Andriod and bye bye Microsoft !

rumours pt is that wm7 will not do multitasking
and that it will not be backward compatible with previous wm programs
but mind you that is rumours

Yeah, I've been waiting too. luckily, the MWC is starting Monday of next week. I've all ready decided to Android, and it will take a lot for WM 7 to impress me enough to stay with microsoft.
Whats pissing me off even more is that while Android and to some extent iPhone OS are getting massive updates, WM is still behind in the dust and they're taking FOREVER to launch something.
I've all ready decided to switch to the Xperia X10 when it comes out in the states.

Guess we will no more soon, but it better be over impressive to get our attention!

That does look AWSOME !!! but it has to take someone who isnt from microsoft to come up with something so nice.....
These guys need to understand the phone / mobile business moves at a very fast pace, and making minor adjustments doesnt help thier cause. They are treating the Mobile market like thier Desktop market.....its not the same.
I hope the wait for WM7 is worth it !!

From what I've gathered Microsoft are just trying to emulate Apple instead of being inventive and trying to do something better. Disappointing to be honest. Again Microsoft show why they are falling behind as they have no imagination and just copy existing technology instead of trying to invent things themselves!!

Simply, just being able to make your own games. I am currently working on one. Its going to be a sword+shield game. Right now, I am creating 3D models of the characters and I will be animating them for various attack and block methods. I will post more details on it later

I'm toying with XNA atm, I'm thinking of a turned based card game similar to Magic the Gathering.

Is the current batch of WP7 games equivalent to iPhone games yet? I speaking of apps like MonkeyBall and racing games and etc. I'm surprised there's no killer game app associated with the launch of WP7.

@whybe, the game on wp7, imo, far exceed that of the iphone. For racing game, need for speed is pretty bad ass.

I would like to see the EA Sport sims. Especially Tiger Woods.
I would definitely pay for a remake of Halo:Combat evolved.
I want to see a couple of Grand Theft Auto games.
I have to say that with touch screen games, the bigger the screen the better. I have the HTC HD7. Before on the HTC Desire it was annoying playing FIFA because my fingers were covering up to much of the screen.
I tried Assassins Creed earlier today. Ubisoft look to have done an excellent job for a first Windows Phone game.
My favourite game so far is NFS:Undercover.
I really think that gaming could be the KEY area along with Music & Video in competing with Android.
I cannot understand what Microsoft are doing with their advertising. I understand the glance and go concept. But customers want to know 'what can it do?'
Windows Phone does the things it does in a beautiful and effortless way. Why don't they show the big beautiful screens. The live tiles. Why don't they show the apps:

What are Microsoft doing with their advertising campaign?
They should be saying 'Windows Phone: so much you can do so easily'
I can think of one advert that would feature the Dad at a school football game their young boy scoring a goal and the Mum at her daughters wedding trying to take a snap with iPhone. And missing the moment whilst trying to open up the camera app.
Then the Mum and Dad taking the snaps with the camera button on a Windows Phone. Maybe using the HTC photo enhancer which takes a few seconds. And then posting to their Skydrive or Facebook.
Windows Phone: never miss the moment.
OK some of you will think my post is bizarre. But Apple do an amazing job of marketing their Chinese trinkets. Microsoft need to do the same.

I sent a twit or tweet or whatever they're called to rovio who make angry birds and they said they are looking into it

Multi-player games, real time. Anything like NOVA on Android.

Yeah...I was just about to post this news..I found this on Phandroid earlier..I've been waiting for this game eversince I tried it on the I-CRAP!! That was the only reason I ever picked that JUNK up!! To play this game..It is VERY SLOW downloading everyone so be prepared to maybe wash your clothes....your Dog....your cat...your spouse...I'm sure you get the picture..Woo Hoo...I'm at 90% its been about 10 mins...Normal internet speeds are 20mbs on home network..It's Not the fastest dl time but its worth the wait....

I finally got it downloaded (I guess their server is a little less busy right now... It took about 15 minutes for everything), and I gotta say, it's awesome for what it is: a Gran Turismo clone. It looks spectacular, but like Gran Turismo, you gotta work your way up to the good cars.

anyone else dissappointed in the graphics? this looks weak in comparison to the I- version.. that sucks..because im pretty sure our phones can handle the extra graphics. especially considering the data is over a gig.. o well.. I guess developers really dont want to put in the time for the android based versions.. what a shame

There's too many variables in Android hardware. In the iPhone, it is known what CPU/gpu, the amount of ram, the screen resolution and what version OS you have.
Games for iPhone, I have seen insane large file sizes.

Rayman Jungle Run Nexus 7 Screen Shots

You may or not know Rayman Jungle Run is coming to android, however it was delayed due to technical difficulties (I'm sure Apple is paying developers to delay apps...). Kinda like Asphalt 7 and just like Asphalt 7 it got leaked working fine. So I got a copy I found on google, google it.

i really want to buy this game. but like Marvel: Avenger alliance, it's being delayed...
the only problem i see with this mobile version, is that it's not free movement like the console version. it's a continuously-running game - like Temple Run but side-scrolling. is this true? ie. you can't stop, turn around, etc... you can only jump or slide or crouch...

Yes this is true, the controllers are... well... There isn't really any controls. You just tap the screen when you're ready to jump, it's all about timing in order to collect all the fireflys (I think that's what they are. xD) It's great fun, I'll buy it when it's out.
You're right about Avengers, and Wild Blood. Like I said, Apple probably pays them. :/
