Digital signature with MDA?

New idea, new problem: I´ld like to use the MDA to save signatures. Do someone of you knows al library which can handle the touchscreen so that I can display moves (the signature) and safe them as file (jpg?) on memory?

Digital signature
There is a .NET Compact Framework example from Microsoft that captures the signature on the device and allows you to display it on a Desktop computer.
It is easy enough to change it to get an image on the Pocket PC.

It just captures the mouse down and mouse move commands but works well enough. I started looking at something I found through google about being able to get the movement from the touchscreen instead of the windows message to get better resolution but I gave up as I did not have enough time to fix all the problems I was having.

Do you`ve the MSI-File at home? At Microsoft I get a 404-Error if I try to download the installationfile. (whould nice to test)

Another idea I had: Is there also a chance to make a simple screenshot of the mdascreen and put a "drawing-pad" on the screen? (I think it's more simple to use because of the pictures must be combinatet with other digital documents)

I have completed an application to capture signatures. It's not very hard. Just follow the cursor and build up a list of coordinates. If you keep this as a list of coordinates then each signature is only about 100 bytes.
Alternativelly, these gues have done this for you as an OCX or ActiveX:

Profile App

There is a profile Appliction is this CAB file : "signed_UNI_o2AUI4_build88.cab"
The CAB is in the: "O2_XDA_Exec_Extended_ROM_1.13.188" (found on the FTP server)
Unfortunately there is also other (O2) crap, that I don't want.
I found out that I need the following files:
- backlight.png
- phone.png
- PowerProfiles.exe
- profiles.dat
- scheduler.dat
- Scheduler.exe
- sound.png
The 3 images (.png files) are use in the application PowerProfiles. I guess the profiles.dat stores the information. The Scheduler.exe is the app for handeling the times, give to the profiles. And the scheduler.dat stores the times.
I coppied the files to my phone and it worked. But thats not enough. I want the Profile App on my today screen. So I can switch profiles fast, like a nokia foon.
Can anyone help me? Suggesting other programs to handle Profiles is welcome 2.

oops sorry....my bad!! didnt read the entire post , well actually there was a dll for today plugin...in the extended rom...never bothered bout it though

If you want to change profiles from the today screen then "PhoneAlarm" is probably the best. See this at www.pocketmax.net.
The today skins for this application allows you to change profiles directly from the today screen and even without the use of stylus.

I found a o2aui_profiles.dll
But how can I make a Today Items out of it?

I want to crack open the Setup.dll of the CAB file.
I found PE Explorer from www.heaventools.com, does someone have some experience with this tool? Or know an other tool to read out the DLL

Ive just got the HTC Touch and its the first time I use a WM phone.
I feel there are many options missing and I'd love some help from you guys. this is my first post.
First is there a way we can create a shortcut that directly starts a new SMS msg to send ?
How do I make some programs start automatically as windows starts ?
The built-in calculator is the ugliest thing ever, i want an easy to use calc and not scientific , not necessarily loaded with options. I used calcium for N95 i loved it it was just perfect and straight to the point. ( http://www.mtvoid.com/calcium/ )
what a good registry editor for WM ?

Shortcuts can be created to create new sms's
you will need to know how to make .lnk files which are simply pure text files containing a path, read on here.
To make programs start up with windows a link to the program needs to be placed in the windows\start up\ folder
Try total commander for a registry editor\ advanced file explorer
For programs check freeware websites such as these.

1.unpack and copy coresponding ppc version (VGA OR WVGA) to your Storage Card root
2.unpack and copy pc version to your C:
3.insert original starcraft CD into drive
4.run starinstall.exe from desktop version (if it gives you errors your cd is not usable with it / works only with eng version)
5.copy fom pc verion to storage card

\data\sounds(490Mb) or copy sounds from this post 97mb
6.run the ppc version of the game / for the nosound version you can delete the sound folder

vga and wvga is possible
qvga is not acceptable because you can not see what is happening on screen
desktop variant even loads the map
for the ppc texture is too big and i will need to reduce the texture to something smaller and with less tiles
i will need to redesigh all maps after this
so i will need your help but first we need to load an reduce map on the ppc
i have also on xperia forum in my kitchen the link for warcraft II and transport tycoon

you can help me using the pc version
is the same data for both versions
and scripts folder is used for developpement
please open scripts and try to make menus for secenario game

I was offering more on the edition of images department, sorry... :/

well everything is in LUA scripts the menus the interface ...
i will have to play a lot to make it work on qvga, BTW it starts on QVGA device but as you know the resolution is a lil high for it

i think there is easyer way to do it for VGA - this is WVGA and all the graphics have their sizes fixed ....

WOOHOO....HUGE Starcraft fan here too. I can't wait for Starcraft II to be released. I have both original CD's of Starcraft I and Brood Wars. I still play this today. I have many more missions (maps) from users on the internet. Some are awesome.
I swear I will buy a WVGA device just to be able to play this game!!! I will certainly use my wife's Xperia to test it once it's going.

Why dont you try to run it on VGA, it will start, but some of the things may be cutted from the both sides

I was a fan myself, and I guess I still am, so I would like to help, let me know what I can do.
my spare time is very limited but I'll try.

I cant program, so I can only help on the images...

Wouldn't it be easier to get a working VGA game, since StarCraft runs in VGA natively? And if you want to make it WVGA, you would stretch the aspect ratio of the game?
Normally I prefer to have correct aspect before full-screen, but perhaps it's different on such a small screen.
Anyway, StarCraft would be the NUMBER ONE GAME I'd like to have on PPC, bar none. And, I do have a Diamond - so I'm quite biased towards the VGA version...

Amazing! Can't wait to see it, I really hope you bring it to VGA. If you need someone to help test it on a VGA device, my Touch Pro is at your disposal.

Do u have any idea of what SYS, XIP and OEM folders are for???
If u have, then it´s easy, just edit the proper rgu or provxml files u want.
If u don´t, then u have a lot of reading to do, and u have 2 outstanding tools for that, WIKI and the search button, it seems that lately none likes these 2, but they will prevent u, or anyone else, to ask less smart questions and fill the forum with garbage.

ok guys few questions
so i have kitchen and i want to remove and add some apps
so i guess key is EXT folder and i delete folders(names of apps) of which apps i want toremove but how to add files??

the easiest way is if you put your files in oem\subfolder or sys\subfolder.
when cooking/flashing, the files autom. went to windows-folder.
but no links in startmenu ... make it manually with cecmd on your ppc.
not easy way but easy enough ... download packages... look for needed application and cook/flash.
now the cook-way: its your turn ... cab or oem-files.
both takes time to prepare correctly.
both ways needed utilities.
look film for minimum needed and how-to it.
but i say to with respect:: if you dont understand this or film than you have to read/study a little bit more.
keywords are: cabtooem, yapi, registry - rgu - p*xml, packages

... and will you provide us the video codec you used to produce the avi? It's called tscc (TechSmith Screen Capture Codec) and is not very common. Please provide just the codec and not the whole screencapture application. Thanks.

change avi to flash. try next time kmplayer or download codec.
the tscc is free and to find with google and download takes 2 minutes of your life.
