White screen

HI All, have an intersting problem, was surfing the net via wireless when the unit locked up. Soft reset and now all I get is a white screen. The unit seems to hard reset with the startup sound that the unit makes when you first start it up out of the box, but the screen stays white.
Any Ideas? :roll:

tried that and still comes up with white screen, but does all the correct things re sounds but all you can see is a totally white screen.

You could try leaving it with the battery removed overnight but it sounds like a hardware problem to me, could be the lcd has died or the connection has come adrift for some reason.

I suggest u Upgrade or reinstall the ROM , maybe something happened to one of the files that should not be modified , anyway , u won't lose anything , u already Hard.Rstd .........

i had the same problem before..i did an upgrade that fixed it. but still have a backup even if its a white screen..after i upgraded i had another problem with the Storage Folder missing..and the list goes on..dont wory you'll know what i mean when you get it..

It happened to me the second day I got my O2 XDA IIs. Hard reset didn't seem to do anything... The unit didn't response to a soft reset either... It was just frozen... I removed the battery, boxed it up and was ready to return it. The next day, just before I was about to drop it off, I was curious and did a reset and everything went back to normal... It never happen to me again... Don't know what happened :?

I have the same problem...
The phone shows white screen white it can recieve & make calls, activesync can recognize it.. But the screen still white !!
Any other suggestions for helping solve this problem..
Is this means that the LCD is dead ?? or the problem in its connectors or it's a software prob. ???

i can't put any rom on it

If you enter to bootloader (recorder + power button at the same time), cant flash another rom?

i had that on mine as well, yesterday!
take out sd card, take out battery let it sit for a couple of minutes, put in battery again, try sd card in as well...and simply try holding bootloader-grip and resetting it with stylus a couple of times in alll diffrent kinds of alterations...mine eventually came on again
to sum it up:
do all you can and dont give up--chaces are rather high its just a software-thingy

Maybe it helps to resolder the CPU.
I did it with my P3300 when its starts to get withe screen sporadically.
For me it helps.

now i can enter to bootloader and i put the original wm6.1 its turn on but after a few minutes its give a white screen and i can't see no things

Sorry for this news, but i think its a mobo problem You should check that (if u can) or give that to a service.

[Q] LCD stopped working .. Could it be software (root) issue?

My G2 LCD stopped working for no reason .. It started flickering and losing colors two days ago .. and yesterday it went completely black .. I did not drop the phone or damage it anyhow ..
I opened it up and checked all connections and it looked fine .. the LED and digitizer screen work fine as well as the capacitive buttons at the bottom so I figured it is not a connection problem ..
I had Cyanegon on it for like 5 months and never had an issue .. I recently installed Virtious Sense ROM and I have been switching between the two the past week ..
My question is ,, do you think it is a software problem for example the lcd driver got messed ..?? or is it just the lcd was broken somehow
I am intending to buy a new lcd and replace the one I have now but I thought I should make sure that the one I currently have is actually broken before I replace it ..

PS: if you can think of an easy way to check the functionality of the LCD let me know ..

Its rather hard for a software (even if it is firmware) to cause problems to an LCD. If you can se the backlight turning on but the screen not showing anything, i suggest you start trying out some unbricking methods.
Now, if the screen doesnt turn on AT ALL, then its possibly a hardware fault. The only way to be sure is to have an extra lcd available to connect to it. You could also try and give your lcd to someone with a Desire Z to try out your lcd on his phone and see what happens.
The "easiest" way though is to get a new one.

is the ribbon cable connecting the screen to keyboard damaged?

the backlight does not turn on at all .. so I guess you are right it should be a hardware issue

Htc One X balck screen problem?

i have problem with screen of mine htc one x,the problem is that screen is black on phone but i use the application name android screen mirroring on laptop and with that application i can see what im doing on hox,touch screen work,everything work except the screen i try to clean connector ,try to connect reconnect try to overflow motherboard but nothing was help,phone is never dropet or something like that,i dont know how problem is created so if u can help me pls ?!!

[Q] loose lcd Cable

Hey Guys , in the gym today , after i "throw" my phone to the table (it was like 1-2 cm) the screen wont turn on anymore , i hear how everything works (so the phone is on) , i opened it already because i think its to 100% the connector cable of the lcd , but the problem ist i dont know where its located , is there just 1 connector , and do i need to open the hole phone or just the backcover like i did ?

ok opened it now completely , it seems like the connector(s) arent loose or sth. any other advice ?

€: i played today with the phone a little bit , while it was booting , i tapped on the Display like 10-15 times , then the Display just was normal (i saw the Htc and then the ViperX Boot animation) then , after i was in the Phone , there were grafic bugs (everything was too big) and then after i pressed on Power button it was again broken .
Because of this i guess its to 99% a loose cable or sth. , i checked the 3 cables under the battery , but theyre all ok , anyone know other places to look at ?
