WARNING!!!
These applications are not legal in all countries/states. Check first before you use this software as you could get into serious trouble in some countries/states. (Wikipedia Reference)
Note: these programs requires .NET Compact Framework 3.5 Redistributable to work. Please install this first if it is not already on your device.
Also if you've just blown in here to download ACR and run, its in Post #3
ACR HD
This program was written for the Touch HD. If your device is not 480 pixels wide or WM6.5+ then I would not recommend you waste your time with this program. This version is for testing/comments only.
This version is for anyone who doesn't mind testing the application at the risk of their device. While I seriously doubt it would harm your device I still feel I need to ward off thoses that are under the impression this application was written with any sort of care or support.
Thiis program currently requires a contact with the FileAs name of Unknown to work properly/with Outlook Importer.
ACR – Auto Call Recorder
SETUP
Once installed go to your programs folder and you will see a new Icon for Auto Call Recorder. Click on the Icon and the options for Auto Call Recorder will be displayed. Once you have chosen your options click the Enable Recording button on the File Tab and close the Options Program. That’s it you are now automatically recording any calls your device has.
OPTIONS
There are two tabs of options to choose from. Most of these you will not need to use at all but where included to provide a better experience for some users who have different requirements such as limited memory, no use to record all calls and such.
File Tab
Folder to save calls in
From the top of the file tab, first we have a textbox showing where the files will be saved. On the right of this textbox is a button. This button when pressed will open a window so that you may change where ACR saves the files.
Ask to save Call
This checkbox when checked will make ACR prompt you with a choice to save the call once the call has finished. Note that even if you choose no you will still have the option to retrieve the last call up until you receive another call. The file Lastcall.wav is only overwritten when you receive another call.
Record Incoming Calls/Record Outgoing Calls
These checkboxes is pretty self explanatory, if you want ACR to record your incoming calls then check this box, if you don’t then uncheck this box. The same goes for Record Outgoing Calls.
Write to Debug File
Only use this option if you are having problems. At the moment the debug is very limited. When you have this option check ACR will write debug messages to a file ‘debug.txt’ in the installation folder.
Recording Tab
The recording tab contains the setting for the file to be recorded. First is the Wav format. This is either PCM or GSM6.10 PCM is a ‘raw’ wav format that will use about 1MB per minute. I have included this format for devices that do not support GSM6.10. The other format GSM6.10 is a ‘compressed’ Wav format and consumes approximately 30kB per minute. Obviously this is the preferred choice.
Bits per channel are either 8 or 16 bits. 16 bits is the preferred choice but I have also included 8 bits for slower devices.
Samples per Second are the number of samples taken each second. This is a matter of preference/device capability. The choices are 8000, 11025, 16000, 22050, 32000, 44100, 48000, 96000 and 192000Hz. If you have a slow device then you are better starting from the bottom and working your way up by testing to see which the best is for you. If you have a newer device then it is more a choice of how much space you want to use as the higher the number the more space the file will use. Also your device may not support the higher frequencies so I recommend starting with something like 48000Hz. If you set the frequency to high you will get gaps in your recordings.
DEVICES
This program will work on a number of devices at different degrees of success. Below is a few lists of devices and there reported success. If your device is not listed then try it anyway and don’t forget to report back you amount of success. If your device don’t match up to whats reported then please do

TIPS AND FIXES
This is a condensed form of the previous thread and this thread. I will cover all the fixes found by the great folk at XDA.
Enable MicAGC. Its in Settings/System. Its not required by all devices though.
“I only hear my voice, the other party is very soft?” This is because you device is not setup to record both the incoming and outgoing voices. This can also be because your device is only ‘half-duplex’. To solve this try the suggestions in the Devices Post.
“ACR only records the first minute of the call?” This is because you have ‘fast sleep’ enabled on your device. Try something like Advanced Configuration Tool to disable fast sleep.
“I can’t see if it’s working?” ACR has no interface when it’s running. It was designed like this to keep memory usage to a minimum. If you are having troubles with this then I suggest you use the ‘Ask to save call’ option so you know it’s worked after the call. You can also see it running in a task manager program when you choose to show ‘view processes’.

Credits and Thanks
mskip for providing his registry settings from the 2 way recording Cab. Without these settings most devices would only be recording one side of the conversation so if you feel like buying him a beer you can here.
A big thanks to Rozenthal for letting me steal his legal stuff from FingerKeyboard.
A big thanks to Biker1 for helping all the lost people in this thread. You should get more credit than me.
Also thanks to [germany]merlot and deep_purple for testing.
Menneisyys for this great thread here.
Also all the people that reported device Successes/Failures/Tweaks/Registry Setting.

Added option to record Incoming Calls.
Added option to record Outgoing Calls.
Added Debug to File option.
Removed Readme Tab.
.
OUTLOOK IMPORTER
Outlook Importer is for both ACR and ACR HD. It will import all your saved calls into Microsoft Outlook on your PC. Calls are imported into the Journal.
This version is for anyone who doesn't mind testing the application at the risk of their device. While I seriously doubt it would harm your device I still feel I need to ward off thoses that are under the impression this application was written with any sort or care or support.
Oh yeah currently this app does not import call from the last day. I will hopefully expand on this to be an option but currently its the last 24 hours.
thanks a lot for the update dude
but where is the changelog ? What is new in this version
Great Work!
Waiting for changelog!
Hmmm what did I change?
I added a 'choose folder' for everyone that couldn't put a \ on the end of the path. I added a cancel statement to form closing so CE wouldn't close the app silently in the background. I added a couple of options to choose what calls are recorded. I added a crappy debug file function. I removed the readme tab. Oh and I added an option to save the call after its finished. I changed the file save to include the date. I still don't know why I did this? Hmm what else, don't know I've got the flu so I'm not really that switch on at the moment. Mostly I concentrated on the bugs from version 1.1. If your happy with version 1.1 I wouldn't bother changing if I was you.
oki doki !!
thanks dude
Thanks Slothie, very nice job
still, Record Outgoing Calls it's not working for me

Ok you'll have to help me out here? What is the device you are using? Also what ROM. So if you check record outgoing calls it unchecks itself?
I downloaded v1.2 and the following issues occur:
1) Record outgoing calls box is ticked but then unticks itself. I finally got it to stay ticked but no outgoing calls being recorded.
2) unable to delete recorded calls. Message pop up says System File, Access Denied.
When I first downloaded v1.2, outgoing calls were being recorded than above issues started occurring.
Downloaded v1.2 due to the Record Call Yes/No option.
Will download v1.1 for now.
I have a Diamond (cdma)

Ok I'll fix this just as soon as I shoot the people that tested this. In the mean time I would recommend trying to set this in the registry directly if you can't wait until tomorrow. The setting are in Local Machine\Software\Inta\ACR and the value should be set to 'True'. With a capital T.

What caliber do you need? j/k
I will try the registry change.
Do you know why I cannot delete recorded calls?
Thanks and welcome back.
Hope your daughter is ok.
Scratch that! I think I found the problem. I just uploaded a newer version. Cheap and nasty style as I'm sick as a dog.
Oh thanks Biker, she is fine now except we all now have the swine flu as the hospital was overrun with infected patients. Little price to pay though as she is now walking again!
Can't delete recorded calls? As in they are read only?

I have set the value to 'True', but I still doesn't work. I saw that version 1.1 was removed, could this be reupload?
Thanx.
It's obvious but just in case, the registry value change to "True" is done to "RecordOut."

Good to hear about your daughter. She will now have to take care of you
I can play back recorded calls but I cannot delete them.
Says System File. No Access.
Thanks.
Btw, made the registry change but box still unticks itself.
UPDATE:
v1.2.1 is working fine
Corrected the Record Out and box stays ticked.
In regards to not being able to delete any recorded calls, the following occurs:
I go to delete and and it asks me if I want to delete the call? I then click Yes. I get the Pop Up Message that says System File, still want to delete? I click Yes. I then get a message saying Access Denied.
BUT
when I exit the call log screen and I go back to the call log screen, the recorded calls that I could not delete ARE deleted
Edit:
I went to delete recorded calls but this time when the Pop Up asked if I want to delete specified call, I clicked Yes (as I did before) and when the System File pop Up appeared I just exited the screen.
When I returned to the call log screen, the calls were deleted as before.
Sorry for any redundancy but I want to be as specific as I can to help solve the problem.
Thanks.
thanx 4 rthat piece of soft...
will test on my diamond touch 2 now ;-)
Tested! Works fine even with both the incomming/outgoing calls and the final confirm!
Only two things:
In portrait mode would be useful to have a scroll bar since I can't see all the options in main page!
Can you put an "OK" in the low bar instead of use "X" in upper right corner to exit???
Hello Everyone,
I am a avid, aspiring developer, and as such I felt it would be mutually beneficial to start this thread. The Point of this this is for you [the users] to post up ideas for programs, and some sketch-ups of designs, and in return, I will try to make, and maintain, these applications.
In doing this, I will get the experience I need, and you [the users] will get the results that you [hopefully] want.
Below is [or will be soon enough] a list of programs that are developed or in the process of consideration.
Please refer to HERE for a updated list of projects...that will be my new place for updates!
Project List:
AutoSend - Scheduled SMS Sender [V3.0]
CMail - A Replacement tmail for Devs and Advanced Users[V1.0]
CSlide - A "Slide-To" like application that utilizes the JOGGR Bar for a Finger-Friendly Action Slider! [Concept]
Export-Studio - A FREE alternative app to export Contacts and SMS[V4.0 + Command Line Version]
Appointmentor - A command-line based app for creating appointments quickly and easily [V1.0]
ContactRetriever - A command-line based app for getting info on a specific contact! [V3.0]
CSort - A Command-Line based List Sorter (designed with MortScripters in mind) [V1.0]
*As you can see, the list is sort of pathetic now, but with your help, I can bulk it up*
SMS messenger
I would like an SMS type of instant messenger. The kind my Tmobile WM 6.0 came with. Like "Oz Instant Messaging". I have tried all the different cab files out there for OZ and can't get any of them to work with 3VO Rom. I do not have a data package with my phone and want to use an SMS type of messenger. Thanks for any help.

I will do what I can after I release the current SMS project I am working on.
I am aware that different messengers (or atleast AIM) has a number that you can txt to do chatting. I suppose what you are asking for is a GUI for performing such tasks? If so, once I fully comprehend the entire aspect of sending a SMS, i can probably make this GUI. Otherwise, please explain.
CycloneSender - AutoSend
Here is my FIRST RELEASE of an exe application for the Excalibur (EVER!).
NOTE: DUE TO THE RELEASE OF CMessageSuite, UPDATES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED FOR THIS PROGRAM ANY LONGER
CycloneSender - AutoSend[V3.5]
Basically, what this program does is allow you to program in set Dates and Times for SMS/TXT Messages to be sent. You can program events (with the application) up to 4 years in the future, down to the minute!
This program includes:
A Simple, Easy to Use GUI
Decent RAM/CPU Usage (there is always room for improvement)
An effective automating system (no need to monitor)
IT IS TOTALLY FREE (well, Donations are accepted )
To Install:
Simply download the attached .cab file and place it on your phone.
Run the .cab file and that is it.
To Use:
In the Start Menu, there is a new folder for my applications, navigate to that and there are two links
"CycloneSender" will run the actual application.
"Check for New" will run the automated portion of this app and check to see if there are pending events for the day, and if so, it will take the necessary actions.
Tips:
When you EXIT the main application, the automated portion of the app is run (so that newly programmed events can be parsed)
This program is accurate to the MINUTE, therefore if you set a message for 17:00 (Yes, it is in 24-hour mode), and the automated portion runs at 16:55:33, then the text message will be sent at 17:00:33 (Implementation for accuracy to the second may be included in newer released)
Known Bugs/Issues:
Unknown Results occur when two messages are scheduled for the EXACT SAME TIME [I will test this out]
When you add a recipient, you cannot delete it (will be fixed soon)
V3.0 UPDATE
This update owes big thanks to XDA user Mohitsapru. Thanks to his help, the efficiency of this application has well more than doubled! In this new version, there is no constantly running application and uses LESS ram! Same GUI, etc. ENJOY
(NEW CAB IS POSTED BELOW)
V3.5 UPDATE
This update allows you to program in MULTIPLE recipients. All recipients will receive the message at the same time. Also, some code optimization.
While I did the coding (for 99% of the part) myself, credit has to go to HowdyKeith who made the restart script for me (which plays a decently big part in making the program run smoothly) and to many other users on this forum that have helped me learn what I have.
With all that said, Enjoy the Application (and remember, donations appreciated )
Could i suggest you provide the proper info about the what it does in your first post next time thanks sounds kinda cool might try it one day.

Yes, and probably a little bit more, but Power SMS costs $$, while the one I am actively developing (as per request, bug report, etc.) comes at no charge to users (unless they so choose to donate, but that is not mandatory).
The point of doing this is mutually beneficial:
1- I get some more coding 'experience'/'knowledge'
2- Users get products that are free of charge!
All i need are ideas!
Speaking of which:
UPDATE
-I should have a basic release of CMail.exe tomorrow, allowing users to send SMS and E-Mail through command line interfaces (MortScript especially).
-While it doesn't seem like a gigantic improvement over tmail now, it can be once I add more features onto it (need Ideas!!!)...
All looking good and know what you mean using as a learnin block too
Will give a shot tom when got some free time... Keep up the good work
UPDATE
As per request, ScreenShots are posted in the AutoSend Post!
Also, New CONCEPTUAL project posted in First Post (CSlide) ... Will start on that once bugs in AutoSend are cleared and CMail is released...
EDIT:: New Update: Thanks to loads of help from mohitsapru , I will be releasing a much more energy efficient version of AutoSend in the next day or so. CMail may be delayed a little bit...

I am not sure what type of program it was. It was OZ messenger as far as the research I have done. It was an IM application that came with my T-mobile DASH. It did not require any type of data plan to run the application. It was a simple text messenger. I was told by others in these forums that it was OZ messenger, but the ones I find here will not seem to work with my 3VO Rom. I hope that clears things up....it's only confused me more.
Well, I am not going to reinvent the wheel since that will only produce a square wheel and a waste of some time. Haha Basically, I don't want to attempt to recreate a working app because I will end up making a pretty buggy, CPU intensive one . I believe that with OZ Messenger you may have to search for a CONFIGURATION of your connection settings (if using T-Mobile, atleast for me, I had to do some tinkering once). It plagued me for a while to get it working, but now it works on my phone!
Good Luck
CMAIL V1.0
This program is an alternative to tmail.exe that was created so that people can either use it on their own, or use it WITH an application of their own. It is similar to the sender executable which is supplied with CycloneSender V1.0, however works differently.
This program includes:
A constantly maintained Documentation of ALL its functions.
The ability to Send SMS messages
A light-weight, command-line based program
To Install:
No real install...Just take the file and unzip it and put the CMail.exe where-ever you want.
To Use:
As I mentioned, the Documentation is supplied (in the compressed file) and it contains all the methods you can call on in.
In order to execute, you have to use MortScript to run it, an application of your own, or CeleCMD ... or even a Shortcut if you can figure that out.
*DISCLAIMER* THIS IS 100% COMMAND-LINE BASED, AND AS SUCH IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR GENERAL END-USERS UNLESS THEY ARE AWARE ON HOW TO USE THE APPLICATION. (No damages can really be done to the phone using this incorrectly...)
Known Bugs/Issues
None so far (YES!)
Future Ideas:
MMS (?)
E-Mail
Please remember that I use my own time to make these free, useful alternatives! I couldn't do this without the help of other XDA Forum members. (Donations are appreciated!)
Please Comment and give me ideas for more functions
Export-Studio[V4.0]
This application is a very useful free alternative to those expensive Contact backup applications. It will backup/export your Contacts and SMS[V2].
UPDATE: V2.5 Released. Command-Line and GUI versions bundled into ONE EXE.
UPDATE: V3.0 Released. Now you can export Contacts in VCF format!
UPDATE: V3.1 Released. Fixes error with missing DLL.
UPDATE: V4.0 Released. Expands the export capabilities of Contacts!
This program includes:
A super-simple, lightweight GUI
The Ability to backup Contacts and SMS
Three modes of exporting: TXT and CSV and VCF
A comand-line based version of the GUI program
To Install:
Simply download the CAB file, and install it
Then navigate to Start Menu > CycloneApps > ExportStudio
and voila!
To use:
First, run the app and you will see 3 areas : What you want to output, the output format, and the folder to write to.
Select what you want to ouput
Make sure to ONLY PUT THE FOLDER in the folder text box, or you will get errors or weird results...
Once set up, click export, and the application will do its thing!
If you want to use the command-line feature, then just run the same EXE as for the GUI with parameters afterwards (see documentation)
Tips:
While the CSV format can be opened in Excel or the likes, I find that the TXT format is more organized.
Known Bugs/Issues:
There may be some slight errors in the CSV file (this is tested with OpenOffice on Windows Vista).
None others... YAY
Remember please, that I did this coding on my own and with the motivation and help of other users on the XDA Forums. I do this to practice coding for myself and to provide free alternatives of apps for the users of our beloved Excalibur. While the programs are 100% free, donations are appreciated .
UPDATE:
CycloneSender AutoSend V3.0 Just released! Enjoy the improvements (no noticable changes in GUI).
Progress is being made on Export Studio
Requests for new applications are MORE THAN WELCOME
UPDATE
ExportStudio V2.0 IS NOW OUT WITH SMS BACKUP CAPABILITIES!
More Ideas are welcome!

I'm in the process of learning C++, so until then I wouldn't really be able to make a worth-while SMSBubbles since C# isn't the fastest or most versatile language (in terms of gfx).
You know, too see how much radiation I'm letting into my pea-brain. Got to the download and saw this. I backed out.
Wow. F that.

oh well, at least its not gonna make emergency calls
tawkon permissions
Hey Guys,
Here are the features in tawkon's new version which requires the additional permissions:
"Intercept Outgoing Calls" - We have introduced a new feature in this version which enhances the user experience dramatically.
tawkon now is able to warn you before making a call that you're about to make it in high exposure condition.
Using this feature, you'll be able to activate headset before the call is already made, and also will allow you to choose if you want to make that call at that specific situation.
"Read Contacts" - We use this permission to allow you to easily track & share your family's / friends' exposure. It is an educational tool, mostly used by parents who are concerned with their kids usage. This method allows you to easily invite the ones you care about to share and compare their exposure stats with you.
Feel free to ask any question you may have regarding these features or permissions.
Thanks,
Ori.
Yup, smackdown successful.

Thanks,
Ori.

You can use LBE privacy guard from the play store to limit what permissions apps can use.
According to FOX news, which never lies...
No thanks.

Hi,
We make Contactive(it's an app)(just to make sure we're on the same page here). It's guaranteed to (insert sips ref here) rustle your jimmies.
We've received some great feedback lately and we're hungry like a wolf for moar. That's where you come in:fingers-crossed:. Fill our suggestion box full of stuff. Types of feedback that we like to munch on:
- all positive comments
- A bunch of five stars pls
- words that want to make us cry
- And I'm legally binded to ask for some constructive criticism. Not too much though. Our dev's get angry pretty easily(please do not tweet to contactive that i said that).
Also too our lead dev is single(lololololol) he like's to go on very brief walks on the beach, he gets tired very easily, and his fave movie is the about the ring.
I guess I should say something about the app now. Um, well it makes your phone ring, or vibrate, when you get a call. It tells you if a celebrity is calling you like Dr. Dre or if its your mailman, or if its just your mum.
But wait there's more:highfive:, if your mom's on twitter, and let's face it there's like a 99% chance she is, it will show you her latest tweet before you pick up her call... you'll be prepared. Also too it'll import all of your friends from Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin(if you have a job), and Gmail to your phone's address book. It identifies unknown callers too by crawling over the inter-webs for all public information connected to that number(ie. location, name,a picture if available, and some other stuff I cant remember.

The app looks pretty nice ... :good: ... And the WebSIte Design ... AWESOME !! (may i ask who made the website ?) .... Keep up ... !! :good:
Looks awesome. can we get a dark theme?
this apps sounds good, gonna give a try. thread subscribe. thks to dev team :good:
I'm not trying to discredit your app but what does it bring that the others don't have ? I tried it works exactly like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.callapp.contacts that is my main contacts app
Giving it a try; seems like a useful application, but I am a little concerned about the massive consolidation of personal information. The privacy policy is a good read!
Can you add a feature to remove duplicate numbers in phone contacts
This is good:good:, but feel they have two or more contacts,
numbers on the phone does not directly connect to facebook

I have a lot of duplicate numbers in the phone
eg for my number, there are 4 same name in the phonebook,
and it automatically removes it,
and hope this app can change the google phonebook, not only the number on the application

We've had a few requests for theme customization. right now, we're busy with bug fixes and core features, but we're hoping to get to a place where we can work on themes. We know the blue is super bright, and some people like it, some people don't.

Yeah. CallApp is our main competitor - and right now we do pretty much the same thing. But we're tryna eventually leapfrog them.

Not sure what's happening there but Contactive SHOULD be taking care of your duplicate numbers. There's also an option to manually merge/link profiles when you go into an individual profile and hit settings. Could you shoot us an email at [email protected]?
PS. Thank you to @TheRomMistress for the article!
I'm trying to wrap my brain around how your app works and where the line in privacy is.
Without actually installing your app, my theory is...
* Your app takes a snapshot of my address book and pushes that to a 3rd party service
* This service builds up a database of numbers, names, and useful information to find people on social networking sites
* Some of this information is pushed back down to the user for their particular contact
* Once a call comes in, if the user already exists the app should know which accounts on what social networks the pole for the callers most recent postings
* If the caller doesn't exist in the address book, a quick ping off to the 3rd party service is made to request any known information on this new caller's phone number, and that's pushed back down to the user and relevant content is shown
Is all that approximately correct or do I have it all backwards? Thanks!
I'm really liking the layout of this app. Good work! Could you guys incorporate a way to turn of the dialer sound?

Iam totally agree with RUBIN110..Big concern is privacy .I'm not trying to discredit your app but App from Newyork ..,,,Whats About NSA?..Whats about U.S. and British government mass surveillance programs?
I really like the look of the app and I want to use it, but I'm concerned about the privacy aspects.
Do you collect the data and use or store it outside of this app?

As the lowly intern, this is my understanding of how it works - from both asking a bunch of questions and sitting next to the dev guys everyday listening to what they talk about:
You got it mostly correct.
1. yes. The app saves your address book in Contactive's database and stores links (not info) to matching social network profiles. This info is NOT shared with 3rd party services.
2. yes. The service builds up a database of the following: name, number, social network IDs
3. yes. The info you see for a particular contact all depends on what info you can see if you were to visit that user's Facebook page. For example, if you are friends with Alex, all of the info you can normally see on Alex's Facebook will show up within Contactive. If you are NOT friends with Alex, only the info Alex has made public will be seen within Contactive.
4. yes - IF 1. you are friends with them already on the social networks you connect to Contactive, and/or 2. Contactive's database has connected that number to a specific social network account.
5. yes. If the caller doesnt exist in your address book, requests are sent to Contactive's database and third parties such as yelp, facebook, etc - all the different sources we use.

We're pretty sure if the NSA wanted any of the info we have, they can get it off of Facebook. LOL

Nope. We don't use or store it for anything other than to bolster our caller ID feature. We won't sell any of our information either.
Are you able to add an option to silence the key press tone?

youre actually the second person today to ask about that. I'll bring it up to the dev team and report back.
Looks cool. Any plans for a dark theme and integrating call block( damn telemarketers)

I have "Call blacklist pro" for this, an Xposed module. The pro is that it's a very lightweight app, the con is that it's not supported anymore and you won't receive any additional features that would also be very much needed and appreciated. Unfortunately I've not found any valid replacement so far and if you need only basic feature that could be your app.
You can install Truecaller from Google Playstore - this application could block calls without ID and/or calls marked by community as scam/advertisements, it displays caller info provided by community. Give it a try

Just to inform readers, truecaller has some issues with respecting user privacy. Indeed many of these caller id programs have a buisness model that involves vacuuming up the information of both you and of those in your contacts. This may not be necessarily what the user desires, though it stated that this is the case in the EULA. My own search for an alternative is what brought me here.

thanks for showing up to inform us of this risk; this is horrifying, it should be circulated and Google should block this app on the play store. If Google doesn't I see it as an accomplice
Unfortunately, these egregious violations of privacy tend to manifest concurrently with certain approaches to software development business models. I generally prefer to use as much of the open-source variants in the F-Droid app store where such data collection attempts are transparent. I do enjoy some of the conveniences provided by google, so I concede they already have the aforementioned contact information.
As such, my current solution to the spam recognition is installing Google's phone app as my default call software. They've recently added access to a registery of known spam callers and you have the subsequent index of your own contacts. This seems a viable compromise giving the the fact Google already has that information be it via conacts or your email. I mainly need a solution to the fact the Federal Do-Not-Call list (US users) is now a joke when dealing the recent spike in various potential Nigerian prince schemery.
But to your original point, there is a degree of complicity in such a big-data business model. With this in mind, I prefer to limit the exposure of my personal info to 3rd parties. I'll try to help when possible when some developer's don't necessarily have their customer's best interest at heart.
