How to enable alphabetic sidebar for contacts?

Hey all,
in WM6 there is (on some roms) a slim "sidebar" next to the contact list with A-Z on it.
It helps you navigate quickly. Does anyone know how to activate it? A friend of mine had it but accidentally disabled it, now we cant figure out how to enable it again.
If you do not know what i am talking about, you can see it on this picture (second row, second column):

It's called Random Access and you can search for it in the foruns now

why arent this showing on your rom while in text message contacts? Theres not even the top alphabet? is this a bug? perhaps wrong thread to discuss this, but...

To disactivate the old "letter-bar" at the top of the screen you have to click: Menu-->Options-->unflag first option...

Thanks for the tip.
However, my Random Access bar only works 70% of the time. The rest of the time only a simple scroll bar appears.
It seems to work more often if I launch Contacts then fully exit and re-launch Contacts a second time. Wierd.
Anyone else experience this?

i installed this, but the vertical alpha list bar does not work.
i do not even see the app under program window. do i need to invoke this?
how do i make this work??

Phone call / Contact picture Bigger??

Hey,
You know when youre on the phone or the call is incoming you see a photo selected for that particular contact. Well it is kind of small ...
Any way to see a bigger portrait picture on the phone call screen?

If you get photo contacts pro then you can set them up to show in full Screen. check my signature for it.

Anniversary SMS (autosend)

Hi,
I am looking to find a simple utility that would send a pre-defined Birthday / Anniversary sms to my contact based on the dates already available in Windows Mobile Contact information.
I have tried searching on this forum and on the net but to no luck. Does anyone know of any such software. The closest I could get was RJ SMS Scheduler but it requires us to feed in a schedule. I wish to find something that can look up the contact list and pick dates itself.

Message taken! you could say I am lazy, unintentionally though, mostly due to lack of time. Intentionally, I would like not to miss a single event of the 400+ contacts I have on my phone list.
Can only imagine how glad they would be to hear from me on their special days and how happy I would be to know that I would never miss any good wishes for any of my good friends.

I checked this software but it is quite similar to so many others available on net. It requires us to set up a schedule to send the sms to particular contacts.
Instead I am suggesting the app could pick dates itself from the Window Mobile's Contact List and send sms from templates, we create and save in there. This way we do not have to add birthdates / anniversaries to Contact List and then set up another scheduled sms through a third party application for our purpose.
I hope I have managed to explain what I am looking for.

Ah, I see what you're asking for now. I don't know of anything that can do that, but it would be a good idea!

Not that easy
I'm looking for such application since a long time, but no luck. The application should also consider the following requirements:
MUST HAVE:
- choose the correct phone number, cuz the text messages should be sent only if a mobile number is available for the specific contact;
NICE TO HAVE:
- built the text message with a variable string where automatically should put the name of the contact;
- should have the possiblity of exclude some contacts from the auto-SMS in order to avoid sending the pre-configured SMS to your girlfriend for example
Will see if someone can manage it in the future.
P.S.: I have more that 400 birthday to remember

THis shouldnt be a big thing. I think it is a easy one. maybe i can work over it. but dont take my word as i am bit busy in office and upset as i busted my touchscreen

Thanks Mohit for putting this together. I've set it on my system though had some issues with display on Touch HD but was able to use the controls and set it up. Couple of questions that I had in mind -
1. Does it have to be left running at all times or can I at least shove it off my running task list.
2. Every time I add a new contact and his / her birthday do I have to update this software too to add the new contact to it's list.
But otherwise it seems to be a nice piece of work.

well no need to keep it running as i am using notification que to run it at the designated time. like an alarm. so u can just exit after setting up every thing from options->save n exit
and about updating new contact u just need to open the app and click options-> "add contacts bday", it will automatically fetch the new one and update it. also it will remember the last message u had set up.

File is 410Kb in size and PNG format. Wallpaper cant be password protected and the transparency only works after you start scrolling the screen up.

Try sending it from another account, as Avandor did. I sent mine from my Hotmail account. When you download, don't download the entire message. Click on the PNG attachment and then wait a few moments. Once the 'cancel' button next the attachment disappears, click again. This should open it in the picture viewer with the option to set as wallpaper. I'll update the blog post to see if anyone else with an Omina has tested it.

if you save the image and change it from the saved image then it doesn't work..

Thanks for the feedback guys! It's strange that the transparency is lost if you load the image via the normal route. Might be one of the reasons the Zune software doesn't sync PNG files.

Created a new one for fun. Takes advantage of the fact that the screen isn't loaded until the lock screen is activated.

[Q] S-pen page buddy problem

This is my first post in the xda community, I usually don't post because I find solutions for most of my problems in previous threads here, but not this time unfortunately.
Ok here is my "problem", in fact it's not a big deal but it's qa bit annoying for me, it started with Aptoide when I saw that there was an update for my SNote app, I clicked on update and it has successfully updated to a new version, the problem was that this version is not compatible with my Note 2 N7100, so everytime I tried to access SNote it stopped working, after that I have downloaded the official jelly bean firmware and flashef it using odin so that it can fix the problem, and it was really fixed, I could access the SNote, everything was fine, except the S-pen page buddy, it showed me a blank page with no templates even if I have them in the SNote app, and that's annoying because those templates on the page buddy were really useful.
You'll see what I'm talking about in the pictures uploaded from my mobile, and I hope I will get some help from you guys, I know you're genius so please take some time to help me.
