Need simplified or traditional Chinese rom 6.1

Hi everybody,
i m , thinking about buying a HTC diamond with windows mobile because i need a cellphone with chinese system to write messages etc.... importing from china takes a long time and is more expensive so i need you help. my last cellphone was a chinese nokia so everything was ok i can use chinese interface;
I took a look on the forum i saw the differents threads but informatic is a bit weird for me, the guy from the cell phone shop told me that i need to install a rom 6.1 for chinese language but when i saw some post it seems that there is a lot of differents roms some without pinyin or other stuffs. so i download one but i m not sure that it will work.
So ask you guys a question, is there one rom which is totally chinese i mean i need to use chinese pinyin 羅馬拼音 simplified or traditionnal chinese. Hqs one of you tried one particulary good ? and can give me a link to download it ?

you can download some chinese rom from www.592ppc.com
you also can install ce-star to get chinese support

Is this what you're looking for? Rom with a chinese interface?
If it's just chinese sms/emails and such, just install CE-star. You should have the disc in the box.

I just use CE-Star(it came with the phone) to write/read Chinese character, I think it does have PinYin supported as well.
And for interface, I tried Diamond TF3D config (which can be easily found on this website) and change the interface to traditional Chinese without any problem, though I am more used to the English interface.

does anyone have a dump of the rogers french rom?

I am new here and I have been snooping around. This is a great forum.
anyway, So on tuesday I recieved my rogers HTC touch diamond with a 3 year term extension. The phone came in WIMO 6.1 FRENCH. I was a bit pissed because I'm pretty sure that I specifically asked for the english version. After reading another forum post, it seems another user ran into this issue with rogers. they don't seem to carry the phone in english.
I wanted to return the phone but then i stumbled upon xda developers and hard spl'ed the phone and loaded new roms on it. the thing runs pristine now. I am in love with this phone. I do want to keep it but I dont want my 3 year lock-in with my carrier.
So, I was wondering if anyone has a dump of the french version rogers rom for the diamond? this way i can revert it back to manufacturing defaults and return it within my 30 day trial window and then just buy one BNIB off ebay or someone off howard forums.
can anyone help me out here?

I also got a French ROM on my Rogers Diamond. They do have english versions as well though. If you do a search you will find a link to the english Rogers ROM.
My guess is that they would not check if the ROM was supposed to be french or english. They would just check that it is a stock ROM and spl.

To restore back to orignal state,
1) Flash the OS ROM
2) Flash the original radio
3) Flash the original splash screen
4) Finally, use the Soft-SPL method to change the HardSPL to the original Rogers SPL
5) Return it

the contents of the box have french documents. I hope that they dont clue in
well I guess I'll give that a go. I hope they they dont charge me the $200 policy for used or damaged returns. but if they do its worth not having to lock-in for 3 years.

Everyone, I just bought a Tp2 (t-mobile), I went to some chinese bbs, and tried some rom, but working on my cell not 2 good. and I still confuse about the language, Do I have to flush a rom with chinese? or I can just push chinese language into my phone?If I can how?
Is there some good people can made a chinese version rom 4 me pls? cuz I don't want to keep flush the rom, just want to get a good rom which is speedy, and every functions working ok.
And by the way,this my first time to post, really hope can get somebody's help!!!, I used to have a G1, but I lost it when I was playing basketball.. And I really want to learn how to put chinese language into the rom. Thx again!!! Here is my msn:[email protected]

update:question sloved, thx!

There is a chinese cab out there. i have it somewhere if i find it i will up it but it will make chinese readable on the TP2. i use it so i can communicate when i traval to china.

If you just want to input and read Chinese (but have an English language device) you can do what I do. I use Atom's ROM CHT with Manila 2.1 and additional PlumSIM 6.1 for both simplified and traditional input and it works great. Alternatively you can download the full Traditional Chinese version (everything is in Chinese) from HTC Hong Kong using my serial number HT989LL00828. If you want to input Simplified Chinese you still have to get PlumSIP.
Finally you could get CE-Star. But I am having problems with the display in some programs and the onscreen keyboard is tiny, so I prefer above solutions.

in this , http://ricky119.com/chinesesupport/ ,you can find many useful resource , Chinese(Asia Language) support for Non-Chinese ROM , i suggest you choose the one can support Chinese PinYin Seek in dial panel ,this is important and very very helpful .
as friend #5 said , it just support "input and read Chinese " only , i think is's enough
but if you want a 'chinese language WM device ' , i surmise you can't find it here ,you would find it in any chinese website ,such as pdafans , 52dopod...etc

HTC Qilin/ Dopod T8388 german rom needed

Last week I get a free Dopod T8388 from China Mobile, but unfortunately with a chinese original rom. I am a german guy and prefer english or german roms. I try to find any information about it here in the Forum, but cannot find anything. So I ask for some help, because the phone has a perfect hardware, and I want use it.

It will be difficult as the machine must be hacked. Unfortunately, this model is only available in China domestic market and supporting TD-SCDMA. I do not think there will be some expert who can help.
Anyway, I am expecting...

Thanks for your answer. It was clear for me that i must hack it before i can flash another rom. Maybe its possible to use a rom from the Touch HD ? An english version would be also good for me. I still hope someone can help me.

As I know it's distributed only in Chinese simplify.

Samsung SGH-i780 MSHE2 6.1 upgrade

Hi All
I'm in the UK and have just purchased a second hand i780 with the version number MSHE2. I want to upgrade to Win Mob 6.1 via the official Samsung site but it says that my version is not correct even though it is! Anyone have any ideas.

In official upgrade choise Malaysia. Vesion DXIB1.

Man I'm confused.
I don't know what to do. I've spent the last hour or so reading countless threads about various upgrades (6.1 or 6.5) I could consider for my UK i780. Trouble is, I don't get the whole version code thing. I have MSHE2 but that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere even on the Samsung site.
What I want is a UK specific rom which will work with O2 and have all the right region settings etc. I don't mind if it's 6.1 or 6.5
Sorry to be thick but I just don't get it. I've flashed various other phones in the past but all the code numbers on this phone have got me beat at the moment.

If you cant consider dont do.
But any UK's i780 is still 780, may be is locked by provider,you can unlock it anytime by special functions already built in phone. just read on xda howto.

PS: dxib1 is fully English 6.1, supports world wide cell operators.
You should consider one thing, you do this on own risk.

So if I install the official samsung 6.1 dxib1 it will feel like an english phone and work with o2.

Actually it can give you version error (not match) before starting flashing.
If its so you can download it via update utility http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8154552&postcount=1117

Ok, I think I'm going to give your 6.5.x version a go. That will work won't it...will be english etc?
Not sure whether I need the 128dpi or 96dpi version - is that just the size of the font...which is bigger?

feel fry to try any and decide which is better for you. 96 dpi - smaller but looks like QVGA is square, 128 dpi - is more closer to VGA, but is quite bigger.
But flash this update I gave you link before custom rom's flashing.

I'm still struggling!
On the Samsung website when I select Malaysia, Vista and then dxib1 I just get taken to another website with no download.
I read somewhere else on these forums that UK, Vista, bvhf1 might work for my phone. Do you know anything about that release?

Im not here to persuade you, right? =)
PS: Is good if you have a choise, you can struggle. Means i780 is still alive

I'm in the same position having bought a second-hand i780, how did you get on?
