I tell you what I understood.
Cyberon is based on Microsoft Bluetooth driver.
TP2 uses another driver (Maybe it's called Broadcom).
Ok.
So, if you want to solve this problem you need to:
- ask cyberon to develop theyr application on Broadcom drivers..
- ask HTC to change BT driver..
I think it is obvious that none of them will help us.
So we payed about 700€ for a mobile phone that can't do a basic function.
Even my old Universal could use voice dialer..
Voice Command can dial as well and works over bluetooth. What else does Cyberon Voice Dialer do that VC doesn't?

Thanks for the quick response and clarification. I agree that neither HTC noe Cyberon will bother to rectify the problem.
Cheers
i also prefer cyberon voice commander to MSVC. Cyberon is *much* better at recognizing names (particularly asian names) and it gives me the option to have it read my sms's when i want to, not just when it comes in. and it also has voice tagging for literally everything it covers and digit voice training, which MSVC lacked last i checked.
anyway, it's not the most elegant solution, but what i've done to get around it is to install both. i have MSVC set only to start up programs (disabled the rest) and use it to start up cyberon, after which i use cyberon.
like i said, not the best solution, but it's the only one working for me at this point in time.

M$ VoiceCommand isn't included because you have to pay for.
Only Cyberion Voice Speed Dial is (should) be included in standard-ROMs.
If you're searching for a cab of Cyberion - here it is.
Has anyone gotten M$ Voice Command to work over BT sucessfully anyway? I downloaded it and it jacked up my system, making it really slow, but I never could get the thing to act right. It would open the BT channel on my car kit and just leave it open. And the voice recognition wasn't very good either. The only WM6 device that seems to have it working properly is the T-Mobile Dash/Excaliber. Now, that phone comes with Voice Command free with your WM6 upgrade, but not the Artemis.
I have installed Cyberon Voice Speed Dial on my i780, which basically works OK, but I can't activate voice dial panel when pressing voice dial button on my BT headset. It always activates phone pad instead. I've googled around and found some reghack suggestions, but non of these work. I've also upgraded CVSD to ver. 1.2 build 70917, using cab downloaded from cyberon.com.tw - again, no luck.
Anyone has been successful tackling this problem? Any help appreciated.

How come?
It's documented that you won't get the output from MS Voice Commander to your BT headset,
but I have no problems in activating the voice command through the headset -
Dialing or any other command.
No special tweaks needed.

I didn't have that issue either with HTC Kaiser. It's only happening on Samsung i780, and I'm desperately looking for solution. No luck so far...

I don't know about CVSD, but have you tried Micrsoft Voice commander?
I don't use it now, but on my Samsung i780 I don't remember experiencing the problems "ofird" describes.
Except for not getting the speaker output to my headset, which is a documented "feature" of M$VC with Samsung smartphones...

Unfortunately MSVC doesn't suit me, as it doesn't recognise non-english names very well, and these are most of my contacts. This is why I prefer Cyberon VSD where I can train my own voice tags to most contacted numbers.
OK, so it's for all Windows Mobile compatible devices, but how cool (with varying degree of usefulness) would voice commands be on the Touch HD!
I just saw this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uLAbwT521Fs

Hopefully I'm receiving my HD this morning. I'll load MS Voice Command 1.6 and see how it performs then report back. I find it a must have app.
When I'm in my car using TomTom, it is great to use my BT headset button to talk to my Trinity. I can tell it to "start" TomTom, email and explorer and any other apps in the Start Menu. For example, I say "call" Joe Black, it then asks if I want to call Joe Black at home, office, mobile. I say "mobile " my phone then dials Joe Black on his mobile phone without touching the phone. There is no need to program voice tags for MS Voice Command, it takes the names directly from your contact database. There is a special hack file to get my BT working with MS voice, I hope it works on my HD as well.
version 2.5 is on the Diamond and my 810 had it as well so i would imagine it's on the HD

mine didn't have it...
my bad, we get the cyberon version here in Thailand with the Diamond as standard but MS works on the diamond too
MS Voice Command only ships on devices if the Operator requests it.
AT&T did not include Voice Command on the Tilt until their WM6.1 ROM was released, but it will ship from the start on the HTC Fuze. When I purchased an unlocked US 3G Diamond, it also had Voice Command on it.
Just for the record, nobody should ask for/post their CAB installer for Voice Command since it would technically be warez. On the devices that ship with it preloaded, it comes in the form of an OEM package, not a CAB file.
So I really would like to know if MS voice command 1.6 works on the touch hd. especially with the bluetooth headset. Can anyone confirm that this works? Matterhorn?
Thanks.
I have installed it on my HD and it works fine via a long key press on the left virtual button. It cooperates nicely with my Jabra handsfree also.

I can confirm that MS Voice Command 1.6 is working great on my HD. It did give some kind of error message when it installed but just ignore it. It must be installed to internal memory...supposedly. It is working great with my JawBoneII BT headset. Long press activates voice command. You'll need to go into the buttons settings on your HD and set the long press of the "Call" button to VoiceCommand.
On my Trinity I had a hack file to get the BT headset working with Voice Command. I needed BTtools to get the Activesync working over BT. I never could get GPS to work on more than one app at once. These are all problems of the past! The HD is taking everything that I throw at it...so far.
How do you initiate a voice command without a headset?
MS Voice Command works
I have MS VC on my HD and it works great. I had purchased it a while back. I believe 1.6 is the latest version. I have it working with my bluetooth in my car. I have an Alpine radio. It has a Bluetooth connect that when you activate blue tooth, it announces over the speakers in my car. Its very nice. I remapped MS VC to my Volume control using AE Button Plus. Both are great programs and im loving my HD more every day.

Look at my post above
Go to settings/buttons and change the "long-press" to MS VoiceCommand. It is the answer button.
It is really fantastic to see Voice Command 1.6 perform on the HD, way better than the first versions I used in the past. If only there would be a way to make VC understand that my music collection is mostly English titles - they sound really funny in the German VC version

I believe it's around $25 USD online, and worth every penny.
The touch pro2 can't carry out the voice speed dial function with my bluetooth headset.
tap the call handling button on the headset can not make anything happen. Neither by press and hold the button.
The only function still remain with the sony-ericsson HBH-DS970 is double tap the call handling button on the headset to re-dial the last number.
The voice speed dial function is very useful when your hands is busy, such as driving. What can I do now?
I have two bluetooth headset, one is sony-ericsson HBH-DS970 and the other is SIEMENS HHB-750.
The software I use is cyberon Voice Speed Dial V1.2.
The following is an answer from HTC:
"I do not know how you have got Cyberon installed as it is not instaled on the device by default.
I therefore cannot give you any support as the devices do not have any voice command software installed out of the box.
best regards,
HTC Europe Support"
I can't have anymore words on this.
Correct it doesn't work There are a number of threads about this around here.
I use Microsoft Voice command and have to (long) press the send key on the phone then it kicks in through the Bluetooth car kit. The general theory is this is a side effect of the change in Bluetooth stack made on this phone, I'm sure we'll see a fix, but probably not until we start seeing cooked ROMs.
Gordon
All you can do is to change the settings for the Send button to launch CVSD when you hold it, but for doing this with your headset's button, unfortunately you'll have to wait... for another ROM...
all the best
Reporting in from Canada here... after reading a couple of threads about issues with bluetooth voice dial, I got concerned and tried it this evening with my Jabra BT3030 and Telus TP2. Voice dial using the included MS Voice Command software works properly when I press the voice dial button on the BT3030. So... the problem isn't universal; we have at least some bluetooth devices out there that work properly with voice dialing on a TP2.
Hope that helps,

Hi net_walker,
I'm not sure if I correctly followed your question, but if you're asking for the model number of bluetooth devices that seem to work with the TP2, I gave that in my original post. It is the Jabra brand, model "BT3030" that works correctly for me on my Telus TP2. The basic web page for the model is here:
http://www.jabra.com/Sites/Jabra/na-us/Headsets/Pages/JabraBT3030.aspx?productfamilytab=Details
On that website, they list it as the model BT3030, with what I believe is an extended specific model number of "(100-93030000-60)".
Hope that is helpful,

mmmh ! Very interesting !
At first time, i've thought for a BDR tweack to solve the problem.
Now it sounds like it is radio Rom dependant...

I'd be that person. If you need any other details regarding file info from the device, just let me know.
Thanks for your share.
Because at this moment we didn't have an HardSPL from our dear Olinex Team (hope they do there home work (lol)) to make a cooked rom, i'm looking for something like OEM to CAB to test the OEM into my TP2 and maybe solve the problem for all of us who can't use Bth button to make a voice call.

Hi, everybody,
Did someone know some other bluetooth headsets work with Touch Pro2 to carry out the Voice dial function, except this one "Jabra BT3030" ?
Yes, I have the Tmobile TP2 and the Bluetooth voice dial function works with the MSVC that came with the phone. There is a 5-7 seconds wait until the microphone activates. So after I hold down the call button on the ear piece for few seconds to activate voice command, I have to wait till I hear a second sound that tells me the phone is now listening. Other than this, it works just fine.
Its an old plantronic bluetooth ear piece, dont remember the model number, but its the one with silver stripes down the length of the device on the sides. Its in my car, I will check later and add that if anybody needs the number.
My Plantronics headset can call voicedial the same way it did on my Kaiser - a long press of the "call" button.

Hmmm, very strange.
I have a Plantronics Discovery 925 myself and it's supose to be one in the winner team of Plantronics, but still nothing
And I have to say that it works just perfect with Touch Cruise, Diamond and HD.
Not with this one. You're sure you didn't done anything to your phone regarding this?

Nope - one of the first things I checked when I got the phone, it worked right out of the box before I started hacking on the registry and such.

I can confirm that issue on the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2. It is a VERY long time to wait for MSVC to start listening. I wish there was a way to put the standard Bluetooth stack on here so that Voice Command would work better.
I use a variety of Bluetooth headset devices; BlueAnt S1 car kit, BlueAnt Interphone (motorcycle helmet kit), Nextlink G5, Motorola 850 Stereo headphones... and all have the same slowness for activating MSVC.
I have a MOTOROKR™ T505 and if I hold the button down it'll do last number redial but I have to hold the dial key on the phone down to get Cyberon to listen.
Can't use MSVC as it won't understand me. Lot's of humans have this problem too so it's no surprise
Anyone get anywhere with this ?
Is it fixed in 6.5 or are there any ROMs with a fix cooked in ?
I have the same problem with my SE bluetooth
I have a Tilt2 (wm 6.5) stock with a Motorola H17 and voice command works fine. About 2-3 sec after headset button push and MSVC is listening.

Maybe I didn't spend long enough with those apps. What I want is to hit the button on my BT headset, say the contacts name and have the phone dial it immediately without going through any further steps. All this via the BT headset. I could never get this to work on the HD2 (the mic on the phone picked up the sound, not the BT headset) but Cyberon Voice Speed Dial on the SGS2 works perfectly.
Can you do that with either of the 2 included apps?
afaik yes, but I will dust off my old BT headset and check
I can also confirm Cyberon Voice Speed Dial works via bluetooth. Vlingo also worked but you couldn't hear confirmation through the bluetooth headset so was a bit hit and miss / hit and hope its calling the right person. CSVD worked great on Windows mobile and does a similar job on Android.
Does this phone support offline voice dialing as symbian phone does?
THANKS for the incredible recommendation on Cyberon Speed Dial. EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I have a lot of foreign sounding contacts and the voice tagging is just like when I had my Palm Treo 600. Also works well starting up apps like Pandora, SMS, and Maps
HIGHLY recommend this app.
Another important difference is the need of internet connection for the 2 stock dialers. Cyberon's products instead work also without connection
This voice dialer is really great, because you can record your own voice tag for each contact, instead to try talking like R2-D2 with the stock application. Unfortunately, I have one big issue - when I first installed this app, all works like a charm. When I double press the home button or BT headset button, Cyberon speed dial starts. Then I flash the phone with the latest firmware (KE7) and now when I press these buttons, starting the terrible stock application. I spoke with the tech support, but all of their suggestions doesn't work. If somebody have an idea how to make Cyberon as default application or to remove stock app without rooting the phone, I will be very, very grateful. Already tried in Application/Manage application to clear default values for stock voice commander, but clear default button is innactive (gray).
Same problem for me with KE7 firmware - can't launch Voice Speed Dial from the BT headset. Have tried uninstalling it, unpairing the BT headset, turning off phone then removing battery. Then reinstalled app and re-paired headset. Still doesn't work.
Have reported this to Cyberon and they responded "...recent ROMs don't follow standard process of Android's definition to handle the Bluetooth activation event. We're not able to change it at this moment, but have reported this issue to Samsung, and hope they will fix it soon."
Meanwhile the only solution I've found is to root phone and then freeze Voice command using AntTek App Manager. Then unpair BT headset > soft reset > re-pair headset. I now have Voice Speed Dial launching from the headset again.

Just replace vlingo with stock android voice dialer app from sgs or from cm7 with root explorer in system/apps.
Works without internet, you can hear confirmations in bt headset, no need to re-pair the headset.
Or use cyberon.
Attached the version from nexus s.

Is there a way to replace the 'double tap' from launching Vilingo to Launch the Cyberion Voice Dialer app instead? If so, i'll be so glad to know how!
