My "particular" ExtROM.....

Hi...this mine "ExtROM"........I'm use it w/ my last WM6 ROM (based on LVSW's v2.0.1.1)....however i think that it should work on any rom (wm5 too...)
Its "particular".....I have inserted some useful programs BUT...nothing are installed (alias, copied to the device)!!...everything are alredy "installed" to extrom....
I'm created it for me....so, maybe its unuseful for everybody.....
Whatsuppen:
U download this archive.........................ok
Install it as a normal rom-update (HardSPL included).............ok
So....now, after an HardReset, when the "Customization" popup appears, ONLY some shortcuts will be copied into your device (20 kb), and a few registry tweaks will be also installed (1/2 kb)...........but when you'll enter in the "Programs" directory these programs will be present:
WMP Playlist Editor
PocketRAR v3.60
AltTab (from PocketPlus)
Adobe Reader LE
VJOkButton ("JustClick" only, i'm associate it to a button...)
Spb Full Screen Keyboard (not configurable...u can access to it only from "programs" menu's icon) U
IM+ v4.41 (without Today's PlugIn) U
Chronos v3.3 U
Resco Explorer v6.10 + FTP AddOn + ZIP AddOn (without regitry addOn/cript service/today plugIn) U

Note:
U = ...unregistred!
Conclusion:
10mb of (useful) programs, but only 20kb of device's memory is used!

Sorry, I followed all your instructions and I can't see anything new after ExtROM_Plus installed.
Moreover, I can't access ExtROM anywhere.
Customisation process seems not to work with ExtROM area ...
Where can I check if all was installed fine ?

You need to go to the wiki and find the cab which will unhide the extROM for you. Then in the extROM folder click shortcuts

follow the skaramanga's procedure or HARD-Reset your device to start the "Customitation Process"

...i suggest to intall in to your device and then analize!
I have collected the .cab of my preferites program, unpacked, compress the exe using UPX, edited the registry of each program, make the shortcuts from \Extended_ROM to StartMenu, packed all shortcuts and registry to a proper .cab and edited the config.txt to install it!
Finally a I merged all file into an .nb using a tool named "HTC ExtRom Editor" (u can find around the forum), and using NBHGen i have conerted it to .nbh.....ready to flash!

I was just wondering, how did you create the shortcuts into a cab file? I cannot seem to find your shortcuts.cab only shortcuts.cabtxt? I take it your shortcuts / registry settings are in shourtcuts.cabtxt? How did you create this file?
Also I cannot find your HSDPA /enable line in your config ?

Can ~WinCE Cab Manager create the shortcut/regedit cabs?

Could you possibly add the Resco Explorer Registry Add-in to the next one?
Then it would be perfect!

[THEMES] For New Manila (Landscape) METAL V2

I would like toy inform you, that these themes was made for the first manila topaz versions. I am not sure if they work with the last versions and I haven't device to test.

TESALAT METAL V2 THEME
I will start with Metal Theme V2
This theme it made only for ROMS with new Manila V3.
You can install it with the cab "Tesalat_Metal V2_Theme".
Very easy to come back at your original Background. Just go settings/System/Remove Programs and remove my CAB, needs a soft reset after.
The clock at the screenshots it is a digital transparent version and you will find at the CAB "Digital_Transparent_CLOCK"
There is an other digital clock transparent also but with white contour around. You will find it at the CAB "DIGITAL_CRYSTAL_CLOCK"
You can use also the classic manila clocks which you can find HERE:

Of course you can put also the very nice Max analog & flip clock For Dutty's rom (thanks Max).
Maybe I will have new tab icons tomorrow. I have a small problem with the stock icon.
Fonts are from GODZSON (Thank you very match). You will find them at the CAB "GODZSON_Hall Feica Font TF3D"
TESALAT METAL V1 THEME
The only difference between Metal V1 and Metal V2 it is that V1 in portrait background hasn't the Windows Logo.

it is made ONLY for V3. manila did not have landscape before.

I have also 1.9
By the way 1.9 is better than the newest versions. Very nice sound, video & YouTube. It is first time from November, I have so good sound in my HD and believe me I have flash and test all the WWM roms.
Except the very fast TF3D, 1.9 has very good benchmark.
I keep V2 one day for test and I came back directly at 1.9
Zero problems and about notifications, I didn't see something different at V2.
So I stay with 1.9 and I am very happy because I keep something from rubbish and I make my work perfectly.
The only general problem for new manila roms, it is the battery.
I will check another radio, but my opinion is: new roms they have problem with the management of energy.
I receive a new battery from Netimes 1500 MA and I am OK

Well, if you really have that rom, then you should have the manila 3...

I was talking about the manila THEME that was posted in this post!! Where should I place it?? I know I have manila 3...

woops.. you meant .. the whole theme is just the background workaround??

I mean the METAL_THEME.zip contains some strange files... where should I copy them to get the same theme in the screenshot?? windows directory you mean just \windows ?? that's all? and then it changes all automatically? it sounds too easy... eheh

Those files were posted so I can check something. He posted them at my request. Those are not the "complete theme". Those are only the files that change the wallpaper. If you want only to change the wallpaper them with total commander, on your phone, you have to paste those 4 files in the windows directory, overwriting all files. Then you have to go to settings -> today -> itens and disable the touchflo3d and then re-enable it

actually, this was all that I needed to get rid of the original manila-3 (ugly) background.. thanks!!

when will it be available the .cab with the full theme for manila 3?

I would like to creta à .tsk theme for WM 6.5, but with ThemeGenCE 2.5, it's not possible to choose the picture of the taskbar, only a color.

You can use a program like WinCeCabManager to open the .tsk file, and replace the stwater files.
Now if you really want to go deep into it, download a theme that is specifically for 6.5 and in .cab format, and open that inside of the wincecabmanager and play with those files, as that one will include the taskbar images and such. (you can find it on the 6.5 themes thread in dev and hacking.

manila 2.5 / htc sense - change icons?

hi @ll,
does anybody know, how to change the slider icons? i mean i know it is possible but i don´t know the way to change them. the cabs which can be downloaded are great but i would love to have my own icons.

use manila editor to find the manila files you want to change. save them as png's and edit/replace them in any paint program with the ones of your choice.

My Homescreen, etc... for you

i just want to share my Homescreen-Appearance with all of you and give the germans out there a helpin hand.
It took/takes alot of time to find the files and cabs that made the homescreen look like the screens attached, and so its easier to find them in one single post.
Everybody who wants to have a nearly german manila can use the files attached.
Everybody else: only the files that are described to be german are german so u can use the other files without limitation
All files can be found in xda-forum or htc-developers etc...
They are free to download, therefore BIG THX to the developers.!
I haven't made the cabs/manila-files myself so i CAN'T and WON'T give support if they don't work with your HD.
The manila-language files are edited by myself.
I'm using Miri WM 6.5 WWE 21889 :: MANILA 2.5 :: REV 18.0 (latest Manila 1922 and working "My Location" signed rilphone 1.15.25.14, cab from Cortez.I)

So i can fully confirm they are workin with this ROM and RADIO.
If I change the language of a WWE Rom via the registry i loose at least SMS incoming sound, there is no fix!, so far (others reported u will loose much more...)
So i decided to edit only the manila language files to have most of the functions and buttons in GERMAN and set the manila to german in settings: (Settings->Locale & text->Location->Region:German(Germany)) for correct Date and Currency!
The manila files have to be copied with Total-Commander (or similar tool) to the \Windows\*.* folder and overwrite the old ones,
AFTER removing the DESCRIPTION i added to file name. Example:
2c89bd29_manila25-germanhomescreen ---> 2c89bd29_manila (its the language file for "normal" WWE en-us)
And of course u have to Softreset after installing the cabs or files!
U cannot rollback after u copied the files unless u saved the original files first or someone is making a .cab of them!!!

The background is stock right after flashing the ROM. But i have switched off the Weather animation via registry because if u switch the animation off by using an animation wallpaper, there is no simply black Background (Miri has cooked this background from the LEO)
HKCU/Software/HTC/manila/Home.WallpaperMode
change from dword 0 to dword:1.
The weather animation in Home tab will be disabled
I hope, everybody is enjoying these changes like i do....

i am using [PhamQuang][WWE]TouchHD WM6.5 ROM V88 (Core 23517), after install remove top curtain, it removes the icons in the task bar as well...

How we can make Background for all Tabs for manila 2.5.19211619?
And can you done calendar background transparant in the home tab?

think its because of the Core. It works with all Version like 21...
