DIAMOND ROM without htc software (touchflo), just WM6.1

Hi,
I was wondering if theres a very fast and stable Rom who only has WM6.1 and anymore working with my diamond.???

That's exactly what I want, too...a ultra CLEAN and FAST rom with just base system, so that I can install any soft I want.

Look at the chef's LITE/LIGHT editions. Many of these do not contain Manila.
Chef 'swtos' just released an updated LIGHT ROM with no Manila.

There is NO BEST option....
you need to see and judge for yourself....just try multiple roms untill you find the one who suits your needs....(the best one for you)

I just wanna know if someone was on my situation
I use at the moment AZTORs ROM and i have to said... it rocks! BUt it has to many things that i dont use...
RESPECT THIS ROM ist really good...
It will be really nice to find a rom with just wm6.1 and all BASIC diamond functions, without TouchFlo (Manila) and fast, secure and stable like AZTORs ROM.???
PD: I tried 7 different roms...

Hi guys, I've read the entire internet looking for a solution...!
and I'm not able to find a solution... (probably because of my english skills...)
I've just bought an htc diamond on e-bay and it has installed a non-official rom which it has several troubles: Rom version 1.37.412.2 ESN
I've downloaded the last available rom in spanish (?):
(RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship)
from the htc spanish site but when I try to install it an ERROR[294] : INVALID VENDER ID, comes up. I've read about Upgrading, cooking, flashing and about Hard-SPL, but I'm not sure to understand rightly enough, so here's my question:
What should I do to install the rom downloaded from htc?
I understood that I have the problem because the hard-spl installed on my diamond causes the problem, so I guess I should install a new one...but which one?, and if I'm wrong... where may I find the information to solve my problem? I'm getting nuts of trying so many different things...

It's not that difficult, trust me...

My personal favourite ROM which sounds like it fits your needs is Suiller's Dia Duit ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=440683
The beauty of this ROM is that, you simply put all your CABs into a directory on your Internal Storage. On hard reset / flashing, a script will automatically all your CABs for you! There's also a lot of other stuff that can be done (search for tweakPers.mscr in his thread).

When you look at people's custom roms, usually the ones without TF3D are called classic, lite, ultra lite, no manila etc.
The other thing you can do is go to settings and Today and remove the TF3D check box. TF3D will remain installed but it will no longer be running. You can get TF3D back by rechecking the box in Today settings.

Request from a desperate newbie...

Hi,
I have spent 2 days flashing, installing, uninstalling, reading, reading, searching.
By now I am completely desperate.
I've tried lots of custom ROMs. And most of them have totally awesome features but there are some standard features in the official ROM which I don't want to get rid of in favor of the more fancy diamond 2 manila.
To make the long story short, I am looking for a custom ROM that would only have VERY minor customizations over the official WWE one.
What I am looking for in the ROM is:
replacement of .NET 2.0 with .NET 3.5
removal of sample pictures, music etc.
removal of welcome center
new Opera
new Album
removal of windowsupdate
removal of startup sound
removal of adobe acrobat
PLEASE do not mess with notifications and menus. I like them just the way they are in 1.93 and 2.03.
If easily implemented, I'd love the addition of the Stocks and Communications tabs to Manila.

Thanks, but it looks like this one has too much removed from it. After all, a custom ROM is supposed to make customization faster, not the opposite. I don't want to manually reinstall manila and all the other good stuff present in official ROMS.
Like I said, I need the custom ROM to be a very slight modification, not a radical one.

Looking for a 6.5 ROM like the one in the VS Emulator

Hello,
I´m totally new to ROMs and I hope my question is not rude or something!
Is there anywhere a ROM for my Artemis (O2 XDA) which is totaly clean like the Emulator ROMs in Visual Studio? Without any additional Software from Third Party Vendors? I want to develop a software on WM 6.5 but don`t want to buy a new Device and in fact that it is only a development Device I need and want only a really clean 6.5 ROM. Can you recomend a ROM?

You could try my 6.5 rom, or either Thormdac's or emrulez's 6.5 ROMS.

Theres no totally clean rom, just like on computers, you need drivers and software if you want to use that correctly. You need OEMDrivers and if you want to use the camera, u need Camera + mHubVO + DShow and without power, wlansettings and backlight you cant use some settings and if you need them, you need htcutil and maybe the shared modules. And mybe you need fmradio too. So theres no clean rom, if you want one, you can remove the other files from my kitchen. Good luck!

OK, thx for that information. Does anyone know, if there is a ROM with Windows Mobile Marketplace installed? I have now on my Device thormdac´s 23409 Image but that one is without Marketplace. And a second question, is it now in every 6.5 ROM that the Start Icon is in the Bottom Bar with that really bad looking Buttons?!

Yes evrey new build over 230XX has the start menu, also why do you want the marketplace? My Rom version 0.1 has the marketplace only there start menu problems in WWE version

Marketplace would be nice, because I´m developing Software for the Marketplace...and the Emulator is so slow that it is now fun to browse in the Emulator.
I really don´t understand the reason why they made such an ugly Bottombar...it lookes so nice in the builds before 230xx

You´re right, I didn´t realize that there is still no final Build from MS available! But I really hope someone will make a nearly clean Build including Marketplace

Does this mean we can remove some built in application from any rom by using your kitchen?
I'm too looking forward to remove some unusable application that came along with the ROM, in a hope to increase the Program free memory. I am sure you Masters have some thing to enlighten me .

You can remove what you want.
Who need marketplace and have problems with our roms: why dont ask these questions in roms' topic, maybe someone can help you (just like me, i want to help everyone, only thing what you should do is make a request - so if you need something like Marketplace, i can try to make a cab for that).

i own an touchHD/blackstone with stock spanish rom. Comes with touchflo 3d 1.3. Can i update my touch flo 3d? wich version? any cab?
Searched a lot in the forum but mostly are themes for other versions of manila.

You would be best served flashing a new ROM in order to upgrade TF3....and also doing some reading about what versions are available.
There is Manila 2.1 w/sense and Manila 2.5...

Yes there befor years i found a CAB to update only the old Touch FLO with newer version but i don`t remember where is that CAB
Also the best way to feel the diference is to flash new ROM with Latest 2.1 Sense manila

Any recomendation? I prefer a light and fast one, i will charge with the software i like later, but prefer one with the basic OS apps, office, and the latest manila. If its possible , in spanish.

The Fastes ROM from my expirience are NRG ROMs they are not very clear i mean about the APPS but have some usefull apps cooked anyway the ROM is good and fast if you want bug free rom for everyday use and all to be smooth flash NRG 21898 with manila 2.1Sense 30March version and all wil be fine.
its WW rom not Spanish.
This is if you want to have a good ROM just to flash and to go ... if you want a super super faster rom without Manila and etc.. to use it for other i mean for some UI shell then you can flash some really CLEAR rom that is without Manila without Titanium and without APPS.

The cab to update Touchlfo3d is huge if I rememeber and very very very slow and laggy once installed.
Flash to EnergyRom, very quick and stable and beautiful...

id like to remove CHT from some of these fine roms available on here, but dont know if its possible at all, there isnt a nice cab that would wipe it right out or something is there?

if CHT is cooked in.. there is noway to remove it from the rom.

If you're using NRG's roms, you could just get a rom that doesn't have it. However, once you have cookie set the way you like, it's actually pretty useful. I prefer it over the other Sense mods I've used.

Look into NRG's Standard Energy or Standared Reference ROMS in post #2.

thanks for the responses, yeah im currently using energy's reference rom but was hoping i could lighten up some other roms. im very impatient hehe

YOU CAN in fact turn off the cht by simply go into setting-->home-->items, choose windows default. then you will use regular windows interface.
also, you can download the titanium version where it is veirtually no sense built in and use regular winmo interface.
