Like the tittle says im new with all this. So i searched for Touchflo buth then i saw there where more roms then that. Anyway now i whanna now wich is the best ROM for my HTC P3300 Device ?
- PDAVIET Rom Black&Blue v4.0 Touch Flo editor version
- Black & Blue v4.3 WWE 5.2.1933 (Build 18533.0.7.0)
- Artemis Touch 2.1 WM6 WWE ROM, 6MB Pagepool (Full and Lite)
- Artemis Vanilla 2.0 WWE ROM - 5.2.1921 (Build 18521.0.7.0)
- Dutch ROM touched by HTC Touch
Please let me now wich you guys think it's the best one for my HTC P3300. Also i have read that i must use Artemis_USPL, is that compatible with the Windows Vista Ultimate ? And how much change is there that i brick my device when flashing a custom ROM ? Thnx in advance

i would recomend "Artemis Vanilla 2.0 WWE ROM - 5.2.1921 (Build 18521.0.7.0)" - its very quick and stable!

Have that also the Touchflo ? Also what do USPL just do ? Because i read in another thread it's almost essential if i not whant to brick my device. Thnx in advance

Vanilla 2.0 has bioscroll (scrolls up & down), but it doesnt have the Cube (left to right).
I've been using Vanilla 2.0 & love it, however, im currently trying B&B v4.3.
It seems ok & stable enough. And it has touchflow with a great media gallery application

I've tested all the roms (nearly 4 or 5 days each) and no doubt the best roms are the Black&Blue.
If I were you I would upgrade your device to the new Black&Blue 4.3, is the one i'm having now in my device and it is very fast and complete.
Don't forget to uspl it first.

Thnx for your answer mate. Works uspl also on Windows Vista ? Tommorow i get my HTC P3300 so i hope that i can do it on my home PC.

It's depending what you like. I like debian on my computer - but why should you like it ?
One likes a clean ROM without any Software, the other one wants everything included.
IMO you can't say which one's the best - you just can say which one's the best for you..
they're all good, depending what you want.

you don't have to install v4, just USPL and then 4.3...
isn't Mobile Device Center the "new" activesync in Vista ? No idea...using xp...
but there is one thing there is absolutely no discussion:
GUINNESS. Nothing else than pure black extra cold Guinness.
Knowing what matters ....btw: There is a thread about Guinness here...

Soft reset - just put the stylus in the little hole or shut down by holding the power button for a few seconds or download Softreset, or download PSshutXP or throw your Artemis at the wall...

USPL and ActivSync do work on vista.
BTW the "beers" your saying are best, aren't beers at all! Heineken and Jupiler are largers, and Guiness is a stout! get some Old Peculiar!
I have just buyed me a HTC P3300. Buth is there any change i can get tomtom maps from Europe on my device for free ? Other i have to pay another 145 euro for Europe tomtom maps . Thnx for any help

Hey. I have installed one of the new roms (19209) and of this time, my hermes always hangs (etc. when i receive a call or so, or in the morning after wake up from standby...)
Before i had Shadow 2.0 without problems (also WM6). Now (after 19209) i installed Shadow 2.1 and my hermes always hangs???
What could i do??

I found that I was having the same issues, phone hard reseting itself and all sorts, I did the following to resolve:
Flash to Official wwe Windows mobile 6.0 AT&T rom
update my hard spl to the latest,
replace radio rom
update to WM 6.1 image of choice,
this is supposed to be an issue witht he big storage roms screwing with the phones storage, flashing to an original rom appears to resolve.

But before i flashed the Shadow 2.1 i have flashed an non big Storage Rom.
i havent tried to reflash radio yet, but i will do that and then flash an original ROm first.
Which ROM do you prefer?

Hihi....
personally I suggest you to flash an official rom first ,
then go to flash the PDAviet rom ( my OS version) ,
its lightning fast and yet stable. ^_^

2. Check for Bad Blocks via mtty (nothing found
3. Flash Official HTC Rom (non big storage)
4. Flash Radio 1.54.30.10
5. Flash MY OS PDAviet rom (Green & Clean Version)
6. Installed my prefered Software:

Resco Explorer
Birthdays Today Plugin
Large Startmenu
FTouchSL v2.5
PCM Keyboard 0.14
PocketCM-0.20b
S2U2 0.99p
SPB Mobile SHell 2.0

Does any of my installed software hang up???? Did anybody of you know if any of the above listed software is bad

Hmmm. The advice given was to flash the official AT&T ROM before doing anything else ... yet I do not see that step in the list of things you've done.
Instead I see you've flashed a different one. And you still remain unsatisfied with the outcome.
If your problems persist, I would highly suggest USING the advice you've been given before seeking additonal advice. If nothing else ... just out of respect for those who gave you that advice, to begin with.
Godspeed and good luck. I am personally happy with what WM6 is giving me, without needing to push the boundaries to where they are obviously currently at a breaking point with 6.1.
But If you absolutely find you have a NEED for WM6.1, where it's been stated to be somewhat flaky right now on the Hermes, I suggest you deal with that flakiness. After you've TAKEN THE ADVICE GIVEN, if it still doesn't work to your expectations, roll back and move on.
Just my own $0.02.

I hat couple of freezes in the last days. Now i have found some time to reflash the rom you given me the link. After that i would flash the 1.54.30.10 radio and the G&C rom from PDAViet.net.

I have flashed the B&C PDAVIET Rom. I dont know if this is a bug of the rom, but no my Hermes takes about 10 secs to wake up from standby!!! Now ill miss almost every call

As I had alluded to earlier, from following threads in this forum, it appears to me that the current WM6.1 ROM available is not yet ready for prime time. I have decided to remain happy with the 6.0 versions ... especially after reviewing the reports on exactly what has changed in 6.1 (not much).
Maybe it's time to honestly ask yourself if the currently available upgrade to 6.1 is really worth all this trouble.
Again, just my own POV here.

I have the same problem with more than 6 different wm6.1 roms... it's a serious bug in wm6.1, all roms!
It seems that the wakeup bug is gone now. Just soft-Reseted my phone. Now it wakes up normally.
The wake bug i just have in the PDAVIET B&C Rom one time, now its gone (hope a long time )
In the other 19209 roms from PDAVIET i havent some of this wakeup bugs (just the other issues mentioned before).
I will report back...

I think some of the diamond user want to have a clean ROM similar to the KORAND 3.1 ROM (Prophet). Is there any rom cooker outside which can make this? I love the hard work from all cookers, at this moment I use the A.Z.T.O.R. V6 GER and I think at this moment it is the perfect rom for me, but I miss a clean rom, where I can add all the stuff which I want to have, by this ROM I can also made it, but I lost a lot of space and some program like QuickMenu have somte troubles with the TouchFLO, also when it is deactivated.

Yes without the HTC stuff, so tht you have an ROM similar to a blank windows mobile 6.1, but with your tweaks and drivers. I saw the ROM develpment WildBerry, I don´t read the hole thread, is it the inquired ROM?
check swtos clean or naked roms. they are unreal fast. or search.
Does the WILDBERRY ROM has got all advantages from your A.Z.T.O.R. Rom, f.e. new driver, dynamic PP, tweaks in the system?

I have htc p3600 and want update this Rom. Now I use wm5 orginal. In xda-developers U presentation meny Rom for this work. I am confused !!!! I don't know which one is better ! which one is lighter than other and work better. I use a week wm6.5 kitchen Rom and it's hang and some program not work it ( ex : garmin gps ) in and some time is not boot and have too long time to boot. If you work with other Roms , help me to choosing better rom for my p3600 , and tell me which one of rom is better than others.

Currently i am running the UltraLite ROM by Chanvi. it works really well, OK it takes a while to soft reset but i am putting that down to me having stuffed it with software.
i have recently downloaded TNYYNT's Lite Business ROM and may well be giving that a whirl to see what it is like.

brother, try chanvi93's winmo 6.1 build 21014 vista ed (i think this was the last 6.1 he made) its an eye candy for me (great graphics,specialy the vista dialer) but not compromising the speed and stableness...

I think the best ROM is your own cooked rom , why don't try to cook one for you in WM 6.1 , in the same threat at post 3 , i shared also a wm 6.1 kitchen .

I would Suggest please read around the Forum and then Post something...Sorry for being rude but Stop the easy way out and learn something of your own...
here u go search for satus rom 1.0 or bsb 6.5 S and install tf3d 1.2 or 2.1 satus comes with 2.1
but rememebr close to orignal doesnt always means better . yes satus rom is pretty good. but u may find better custom roms and thats what salim suggested
