SIP Hook v1.6
Idea:
I've made this service especially for X1 chiefs and users who use EzInput keyboards. As you know, default SIP menu shows only full QWERTY keyboard in list. This application fixes this problem and adds two more keyboards.
In HTC devices this is realized in touchscreen driver.

Compatibility: WM6.1/6.5/6.5.x with EzInput
ET9Filter
That's IME (Input Method Editor) that fixes IMEEngine-Xperia keyboard incompatibility.
Limitations: XT9 doesn't work when you type on hardware keyboard.
Benefits: IMEEngine WON'T break hardware keys (for example, if you press FN+1 without my IME you'll get "!". With it you'll get "1" as it should be)
Installing: ONLY MANUAL
1) Make sure you really have IMEEngine in your ROM. Check if \Windows\et9ime.dll exists.
2) Copy et9filter.dll to \Windows\
3) Apply *.reg
Only for cooks/chiefs/experienced users. Make a system backup before trying!

Supports dead keys for some languages
Make sure you have "{0x7A 0x7A 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xff} // DKeys - 0x7A" in IME_Engine's kmap
Also supports contact's name prediction (it can be buggy, beware). Disabled by default, but you can enable it in app.reg.
If you don't have IME_Engine in your ROM, keyboards won't work.
Feel free to use these services in your ROM

no, it doesn't work on 6.5.x.
Only on 6.1-6.5

Uhm, would be nice. Not sure if i'm capable of making it wm 6.5.x compatible since I don't have that much experience with coding at the moment.

If you have no IME_Engine installed (or integrated in ROM) this won't help you. I haven't seen any rom for x1 with it (excluding my own russian rom)

It doesn't support WM6.5.x
Works great !! Tested & using on Oobly's 2.1 ROM...

Aahh didnt know that.. although I think you've pointed it out in your first post Anyway I can change views using the registry in 6.5.x? I read someone made it in the Valkyrie thread but I forgot to ask him for info
chichoko, this app simply changes HKLM\Software\HTC\ezsip\BioToShowMenu to 1. EzSipService gets notification about this changing and shows menu.
Added et9filter that fixes hardware keyboard issues.

petervbeck, sorry bothering you, may be you know the way to add additional lang to standard kbd? or maybe it's impossible by default implementation in ENG ROM? I need russian locale added to default kbd. It's surely exist with official standard HTC 3300 Russian ROM... but it's still WM5 based May be it's possible to get required cab from other official WM6 Russian based devices? Being frankly having 2 or 3 kbds ain't a good thing..

i'm not really sure, but in this thread i found a cab with a russian SIP. Are you searching for something like this ? I don't understand russian language, but maybe this link will help you a bit...
i just did a quick test in a WM6-Emulator image and it seemed to work...seems to replace the english keyboard (strange are the two "handwriting" entries - maybe one for english and one for russian ?) i tried the v02.rar...
The content of this cab with the destination-directories is listed in the image below, maybe you can grab these files from your WM5 and create a new cab ?

The only problem: you need to install a new version of TASK MANAGER (see htc cabs post) to make work the X-button
uhm...i found some bug...and hope ppl help me out...
- i can't change volumn setting when i push stylet in Volumn setting...instead of appear group of 4 icon together...(very annoying...when i got a call, i can't change the volumn with jog-dial).
- Some icon in LG menu seem have wrong link problem...
for example : the "power" icon :"The system cannot find the file specified"...
"Backlight" icon and "USB stick" icon doesn't work too...
--------->finally, how to config all of this??? or it is fix and unchange???

This is regular behavior in the lastest ROM's. I don't know how "the blue ballooon" is been called.

I pressed something by accident too and saw "The system cannot find the file specified", but haven't seen it again.

rom totaly sucks, many things just not save, even registry tweaks reset after reboot ... many bugs ...

could you elaborate a little bit more on the bugs that you found?
I used the previous version .29 and was very happy with-it excellent rom, very stable and with the exception of the video call (missing and wich I don't use) everything was working flawlessly

On my trinity there is camera bug.
I push the camera button, make a photo, and then camera closed and is absent in the processes
What should I do to fix it?

For exampe - you cant change showSIM in registry its allways "1" after soft reset, pocket player doesn't remember its settings after soft reset ... and other things like these, i dont remember ....
29 version was realy cool, fast and stable and had pretty skipless A2DP without full CPU load, like in ausdim rom ... i will return to PdaViet .29 when my lasyness drop down

FIXED IT - the net configuration utility was set to run version 2.0 for unconfigured apps - now set to 3.5. Rookie error.

very clean rom, love it!!!
As a reward for all of you for your tests of my ROM (over five thousand downloads ) I'm releasing the full kitchen for you to try out.
This kitchen is based on PlatformRebuilder from bepe and new interface from ervius. It incorporates the native AKU5 kernel, which has leaked from HTC's laboratories.
It's for smart guys - if you can't do anything with it, just flash one of the available ROMs. If you have some smart questions - don't hesitate to ask, but don't post generic questions about cooking! It's not the right topic for such questions...
I have one good advice for all of you:
as my ROMs a heavily modified, use "Load ROM" option and start from one of the predefined sets, don't start from the scratch! Later, when you get familiarized with my ideas of cooking - go on.
The same goes for adding new builds - DON'T do this at the beginning! There're 23017 and 23052 builds included, so you don't have to - and by just adding a new one you will most probably screw your ROM up!

Where will I find the ROM once it's cooked?

I found the cab2oem
Once I do this to my SPB do I put it here...OEM\HERMES\COMMON ?
What about that error?
I only 'loaded' your ROM,clicked 'create ROM' and got that error.
I changed nothing at all.
There is a folder cecompr_LZX.dll but no file.
If I untick LZX compression I still get errors
I'm using WindowsXPx64 does this matter?

you have it in "Program Files", and it does contain a space, right? Move it somewhere else, like ie. "c:\cooking\kitchen" or something like this.

Nope,still same error
c:\cooking
cecompr_nt_LZX.dll is missing and all I can do is cancel build.

I downloaded again and it seems fine now ?
I cab2oem'd my SPB and placed the folder in "C:\Hermes.DarkVisions.v5.KITCHEN\OEM\HERMES\COMMON".
I then created my 1st ROM
SPB is in there but not 'active'.
I think maybe I should have placed somewhere else?

Can't remember, but isn't SpbHome being run from the StartUp folder? If so then make sure you have a proper initflashfiles.txt in your package. Check also the *.lnk file - if it leads to the \Windows\MobileShell.exe.
And as for the placement... while it's ok to put it there, all the additional and optional packages should be rather put in EXT folder (but beware, it has different structure!), because you can't deselect those from the OEM folder.
I tried so many times the spb mobile shell into oem or into ext and nothing... it dont works... simply this cab is one of those cabs that cant be set as EXT or OEM by a tool....
But maybe you can make it manually... ameet or -G- has wonderfull tutorials for this topic.
If I will have some spare time, I can do it for you... but don't know, when.
