HELP!
My HTC TouchPro2 has been showing that I have a text message, but I don't. I have tried deleting all my texts and, still, the icon shows a little "1". Now, it shows I have 2 messages, but I do not.
How can I fix this without resetting the whole phone?
Thanks!
Dasha
Search for a program called fixunreadcount.exe, run this on yoru phone and all will be well.
Thank you! Can you please tell me how to find that program and how to sync it with my phone? I'm completely new to this process.
Thank you!

can you use rapidshare where you live? if you cant let me know and I'll mirror it to my server... DOWNLOAD
Connect your phone via activesync and copy the .exe file to your phone. When its on your phone simple click on it and the sms will read 0 again!
Hi, thank you for your help. I tried to download the link via rapidshare, but it said that it's too busy now for the free users.
That totally worked!!! Thank you soooo much! It was really starting to driving me crazy!

I have just flashed B&Bv3.7 to my Orbit with no hassles what so ever. Only problem I have now is that I can't back-up my contacts using WMDC on Vista. Keeps coming up no Outlook installed on device. Does anyone have Outlook in a cba file please. Thanks in advance.

Cheers "MaskedMarauder", got it figured. Outlook needs to be on the PC for this to work, not the Orbit. Thanks anyway.
By the way, the link you posted works, but the file this refers to is no longer available.
Hi guys, I have a bit of a problem. Its really annoying. I confugured my yahoo and gmail e-mails on my trinity and it was working fine for a few days. Just this morning i noticed that I'm not getting any e-mail notifications which is a bit odd because I normaly get 15-20 e-mails a day. When I checked messaging, all my pop email configurations was gone! I don't know what happened. Anyone had the same problem before? Please do advise. Cheers.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Is this a cab file? What does it exactly do? Cheers again
That software can find you account back, and after you input the email infos to that software(pop3,smtp,password...), it will try to recover your account everytime you reset.
or you can try the rom i modified from Karmba_a's rom, or others rom noted with "old xip",these roms wont lost account.

unzip it first.after that
if there is a cab, then install it and find shortcut from your startmenu to run it.
end
else
if it is a folder or files, then copy it into anywhere of your main memorydont put it into your sd card),and run the exe file. you 'll be fine.
end
'and by the way, try to update hard-spl, hah.
Thanks. Does this e-mail problem also happens to other HTC devices?
it all started when i accendently removed the data cable while the phone was in the process of removing skype through the active sync.
Problem: now i'm trying to re-install skype and i get an error saying "Couldn't find all necessary resource files to start Skype. Please try to install Skype again"

Yep. You've downloaded the smart phone version and not the one for pocket pc. Download the latter and you're sorted!

hard reset (press and hold together volume up and down, then briefly press power button) might solve this problem, be prepared to lose everything you've installed, i just hope you have a backup of the programs you've purchased.

Does phone reboot up even with this error or are you stuck in splash screen each time?
If you cannot get past splash screen then it looks like your only option is a hard reset. Unfortunately this will result in everything on your phone being lost including contacts, emails etc so hopefully you remembered to backup. Sorry bro
If phone does boot up even with this error then it sounds like you may have an application shortcut in /windows/startup and no application installed. i.e. application is no longer installed but shortcut is still in startup folder. Just delete link in startup folder.
p.s. Do not create duplicate threads in different forums. I've closed duplicate thread in general forum.
If you can get past splash screen and it's the white box with OK button then -
I would check to see if one of the files in windows/startup folder is trying to open it. I think it might be Opera related.
Try pressing on each file in turn until menu comes up then click properties then shortcut tab.
When you find which it is you can edit the shortcut to point to where you want or reinstall the software that has become corrupted in some way.
Hope this helps.
thanks

Hey guys,
I would like to start by apoligizing if there is a thread relating to this issue, but i have searched the forums and couldn't find a solution. The problems i am having is that Google just will not sync on my phone ATT Galaxy S3. I lost all contacts, google play, and google talk. nothing is working anymore.
Recently i tried to install "freedom" on the phone to get free in app purchases. then installed localepicker. now removed the locale picker and the freedom app and i am not sure if this is what caused the problem.
I dont know alot about all this rooting and flashing and stuff like that... i rooted the phone a very simple way from this website just to get game gaurdian on the phone to mess around with games.
So if anybody could helo with my problem thta would be excellent.
Thank you very Much.

When you go in settings and add account, do you get an error? Also, do you set it to manually sync or automatic?
Did it randomly stop or it was after flashing?

Can not establish a reliable connection to the server.
This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues Call Customer Servic .
Thats is the message that I keep getting. And i noticed it this morning after I deleted all that freedom/locale pocket stuff. The Internet still works, it's just it refuses to sync the Google account.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me.

When you look at your signal, is it grey? When it is colored (blue most of the time), then it's connecting with Google, if grey, it's not.
I did a little google search (can go a long way ) and found a few solutions:
1- Just restart the phone without the SIM card, and connect to some WiFi network, so you can login to your Google Account. It will log you into the account, and then you can put the SIM card back.
2- Add YouTube app and login with gmail account
Go into Gmail App and add account if needed.
Sign into Gmail account wither username and password
Go through login process
3- Hard reset your phone. You will lose all information that is currently on your phone when you do this.
Select Settings -> Security -> Factory Data Reset
Once the phone reboots, input your google account information when the phone asks for it.

Tried step #1 and #2. None of these work. Just a quick question before Itry step #3 . Will it cause to brick my phone? The only reason I am asking is because the phone is rooted, by one of the methods on this site. That is my only worry, will anything happen if I do it that way or doni have to go threw Odin and that whole process again? Once again thanks for the help.

No you won't brick your phone. Although, make a backup first.

Thanks a lot. When you say back up - you just mean pull all the pics off and put them on my comp, right? Like i said before I'm a noob to the whole android rooting process and things of its nature. Thanks again.

You can go in recovery and make a nandroid backup. That will make a flashable image of your phone which you can get back to if something goes wrong.

Wow. Ok I totally lost you there. I don't know how to make backups and flash stuff. Guess I'll just try to take off the pics and videos. And start from scratch again. I would love to have the latest JB update w/o all the bloatware that AT&T puts on it, but that a whole other project in itself. Lol Thank you for all your help.

Fantastic.... all your ideas did nothing...
Still experiencing the same problems. same error message. its like its blocking my phone from syncing. Maybe i deleted a file. I think the best bet would be to flash a whole new ROM or reboot the whole phone, and make it a fresh one.

Do a backup and go back to stock. See if it works there. If not, it's a problem with your carrier, maybe even your sim card.
