Welcome to my ROM thread!
This ROM is the "3.0 series" of my ROM line, and it's designed to have the latest and greatest applications and improvements. Because of this it may not always be as stable or bugfree, as a stock ROM. However, I can assure you, it's much... MUCH faster than any stock ROM on your device.
The ROM is being continuously developed and bug fixed and there's almost daily releases. I've decided to name each release by the date when it was released. For example, 50109 would have been released on May 1st, 2009. I should also mention it's UC compatible and more info about that can be found here.
The ROM is currently based on the 21232 OS core, with all the new goodies from the newly announced Topaz device (the Diamond2).

Known bugs
The lock screen interferes with the HTC Dialer application. It's best not to use it for now. If you have to, you will have to deal with weird behaviour from the dialer!
If you want to use the microsoft dialer instead, open up Advanced Config under Tweaks (in the Start Menu) and disable the phone skin (first item in the Phone section). Reboot...
The names appear to overlap in the dialer when scrolling down in it. This is a known bug in all 6.5 ROMs and there's nothing we can do about it until HTC updates their dialer ​

Hi, I've just installed this ROM. Really beautiful! Extremely quick but not much memory left, my device has only around 20 odd meg program memory. Still it is very quick like I said and all the programs installed seem to work OK. I cant seem to launch the phone pad or the qwerty though? I disabled the phone skin in advance config but still no joy. Is there any way to do this? The menus look the business! Thank you for the ROM, I would like to use it but I really need the keyboards to be working. I will leave it installed for tonight so if anyone wants to know anything about this ROM please ask while I got it on and I will be able to answer.

i tried almost all 6.5 roms and this is the fastest and best looking.
and youre 1st rom for diamond is even beter as most 6.5 roms that are updated lots.
i dont have much experience in rom cooking etc.
but isnt it a good idea to remove apps that doesnt work on diamond 1.
like flashlight?
and 1 more question.
is it possible to let photos store on internal storage/pictures instead of is/my doc/??
tried advanced conf but doesnt work??

It seems that it's impossible to use another keyboard than the Microsoft's one even with sipchange (Tried eZinput 2.0 and FingerKeyboard2)

I have to work a little more to get the memory usage down more. I dont think I need a Diamond specific dialer, but I will cook that into the next release to see if it fixes it. It will have video call as well. No qwerty keyboard ? Strange.. I will look into that.

Let me know what other apps dont work on the Diamond. I didnt know the flashlight doesnt work on the Diamond. Need more feedback from you guys with things not work, as I do not have a Diamond to test on

Pangya for windowins mobile
Pangya is a golf game. Fingerfriendly and Anmie style.

Somehow I can't make any screenshot of the game using the screenCapture utility. Nevertheless, the website above provide some screenshot and video's.

Both runs smooth on the touch HD (wm 6.1 orignal rom) .
N.B. I not the developer of these games. Due to the forum policy, I only provide game information.

Just to add: both of these games come packaged with the Samsung Omina2/i8000 it seems.
You won't see any official announcement on the actual Crayon Physics website.

try a cooked rom or at least install the latest 3d driver package in the forum threads at the top

I've GfxBoost (Service) and NeosDriverPackage 3 installed on my HD, Rom is Sh3lby WM 6.5 (Buildd 28xxx) Manila 2.5, and Crayon Physics runs like a charm on my HD, sometimes i have a few lags, but overall its really great to play. I still dont have any Problems continuing after the first Isles, maybe your Version is broken.

It was user error on my part, its working now. However the HD has trouble when there is a lot happening on screen, really slow down for me even when i turn off sense 2.5. I am assuming my cooked build GRID 1.7 has the latest drivers and 3d boost, can ayone confirm this.
I had some problems with the shelby roms, the were a bit buggy for me, I may try a different one though as I lve this game.

Have not tried this but u can always try the speed-booster which is mentioned in this forum section and add the game into the list as described... maybe it will work then... CHOW

Thanks for your help - been thinking about trying an alternative rom for ages and finally decided to take the plunge! Followed the guide in the forums to install topix 3.3 upgrading to 6.5. Found it all much more easy than I expected, got my spbmobile and masses of apps, user data all reinstalled and working - plus Crayon Physics working! Only problem I've come across is the setting applet is totally unresponsive but presumably I'll find a solution to that somewhere in here. I've found the new rom very nice and I'm glad I've gone for it - thanks again.

I installed the pagnya golf game on my htc touch hd and when i click on the icon it just freezes my phone
Any ideas how to fix this?
the game looks awesome from the screenshots so kind of need it

good to know, there really is not going back once you tasted 6.5 is there . How does crayon work on the topix rom?, it runs ok on mine until I get a few things happening on screen and evrything slows down to a crawl, still works and is just about playable though. I am thinking of giving the new flashmore ROM a go to see if the 3d performance is better.

Yes, the games in general are nicely accelerated by this app. Test and see.

Just as an understanding I did not create any of this so thank those who did, polyrithmic for the eclair build, cloverdale for the wonderful theme, and to everyone else who has helped me along the way

I was hoping this thread would spawn a little more creativity amongst the kaiser users. There is a ton going on over on the vogue threads with theming for donut would like to see some of that here for eclair.

Since we're on 2.1D now, what effect does the wifi and market part of the update have on the system, specifically will it 'downgrade' the new settings? Just for the sake of compatibility.
I may just install the theme, see how that goes and get back to you.

The first update is based off of Poly's 2.1g Dark, I didn't know of any 2.1D but will check on it. I imagine it would work with his 2.1g plain as well. The update includes the wifi fix and market update that he has posted on his thread I just put them into one package for user friendliness.

Here are links to different resolutions, just install the correct androidupdate you need 320 has lcd.density set at 160 and 420 is set at 150 make sure it gets named properly to androidupdate.tar before trying to install

so i don't know if its just me or what, but is it smoother now or is it just me? haha. but heres my OPINION, don't take it the wrong way. but..
i thinkyou should just keep the signal bars and battery bars the same just make them blue? with a white outline maybe? and then the helix icon to scroll up the menu is nice, but is there anything different we can change it to? lastly, is there anyway to make the lock bar blue too? hahah just wondering

The Theme is designed for donut, I made it work on eclair, it does seem to run a bit smoother that may be due to the png's being smaller. As I get time I am trying to get a few of the things you suggested worked in, I don't like the dots, and I might be able to change the helix icon to the original only blue its a little tricky though.
There are a couple other things I am working on ATM and once I am done with those I will probly get back to theming. This is actually my very first theme / contribution to the community.

market?
so this is probably a quick fix, but when i was trying to download apps from market, it says start downloading, but it won't go any further then that. i've tried resetting a couple of times but it hasn't had any affect. any ideas?

Just a quick note on changing build.prop or in fact any system file, you must run 'rwsystem' (from console/teminal emulator ), before editing, this makes the system read/write rather than it's normal readonly state, after editing run 'rosystem' to return to normal.
I prefer editing system files using the built in nano editor, since i'm used to it. Not tried editing from gui so ymmv

Were you able to download from the market before, maybe a reboot will help if you haven't done it already. I'll double check again over the weekend to make sure it works for me right now I am working on a full nand install of a 2.1 sense build.
edit: Somehow I missed poly's update to 2.1D some things in this theme may not work correctly on that build due to all of his updates. Once I get squared away at home this weekend I will look into creating several different themes for that build.

yeah oddly enough i was. i tried resetting a couple of times, and even taking out the battery. i sometimes have wifi problems with the market but everything else works fine with wifi. its odd..

Pretty sweet little game, almost identical to the PC version, just smaller. It's around 46MB on the storage card. Runs great from the storage card, I have room on my HD but haven't copied it over to see if there is a gain or not. As er_arbe pointed out, you can't select a campaign (Terran, Zerg, or Protoss). I don't think they are included to be honest, with a 46MB footprint and only custom battles selected, a full blown campaign would probably push 100MB each if it followed the same story line and such as the PC version (SEE EDIT). Looks nice of the HD though, I'm really impressed to be honest, and I am a very picky person. Wish there was an option to keep the screen on when running the app, like in Garmin XT, kept having to tap the screen to keep it bright (like waiting for SCV's to collect minerals/gas).
It's such a good game in fact, I spent too much time tinkering with it my Command Center just got leveled by opposing Marines. Definitely worth the download for long periods of boredom. Copy only the "RAR StarCraft 0.18 WVGA Lite" folder from the ZIP file, looks like there is a MAC version in there too and it is not needed. I copied the contents to the root of my storage card in a new folder called "StarCraft". I am running the latest graphics tweaks and drivers that are on the forums here if that makes a difference to anyone.

I take that back, the campaigns are included (I got curious snooped around the Data folder). May be a glitch on why they aren't selected, who knows. Also, performance is about the same on the device or on the SC, it seemed to load a little faster initially, but the game play is quick either way. I tried to load one of the included saved games, got hung loading.
--LAST EDIT, I SWEAR--
Campaings will not work, the "campaign.lua" file has no commands in it. Still a fun little game though with the instant action. Also, the included saved games are futher compressed, 1 and 4 uncompress fine, 2 and 3 are damaged. I haven't messed with trying to load a saved game.

Thanks, Howell! I searched a little last night (albeit briefly) for the original source. Downloading now, looks like the "heavy" version will be around 90MB uncompressed. Will report back for those interested.

Still no joy on the campaigns, "\scripts\menus\campaign.lua" is still void of commands. On the up side, sound and music are both included in the heavy version (and quite heavy, coming in at around 100MB). The extra size is worth it to me, I had to rely on my map to know when I was being attacked, now I can hear that familiar "Base is under attack" warning. All in all, still fun for the boring times, and sound makes it all the better. Maybe someone more familiar with LUA scripts could figure out a way to make campaigns selectable?

Any luck on this? I checked the russian site and there was nothing about the campaings in FAQ.

Ive downloaded the game and extracted it but it would not play for me...i have a touch pro on sprint did i have to adjust the resolution in order for it to play on the touch pro?

ok after extracting theres a file that contains a word doc but everytime i try to open the starcraft it states "maybe you need to specify another gamepath with '-d/path/to/datadir"? i feel like im askin stupid questions but need to change the location of the starcraft.exe somewhere else besides on my sd card? i need food for thought plz and thx in advance:

Sorry, Pharmako, I too searched for a clue as to why the campaign selection script is empty. I'm trying to find an older build number to see if maybe the campaign file got lost somewhere along the way, because in the historical posts I can find talking about the game, no one complains about it not working.
Possum, I didn't see a Word doc in the folders. I have "Data", "sc", and "scripts" folders, and two executables, "StarCraft [no sound]" and "StarCraft". Did you download from the link in the first post (WVGA) or go to the Russian site and choose either VGA or WVGA versions?

I'm at a loss, I guess we're missing something very obvious or extremely well hidden. Any post I find about the game talks about how great it is, but no one complains about the lack of campaign ability, even though the campaigns have been written and included. I found a couple of older versions, and the LUA files all seem to be similar, so maybe I was wrong about the campaign menu file being the culprit. Perhaps the campaigns haven't been "unlocked" yet in order for the devs to improve overall gameplay first. All in all, it's still a great time waster. Games seem to save, but I haven't tried loading, like I said before, loading an included save locks the phone up tight. I guess I'll add that site to my "check every couple of months" list and see if there is an update.

A friend of mine gave me a while ago a link to original Starcraft CD... Will try to get it back and see if lua files can be copied from it

I've tried looking at the campaign.lua in a lua script editor and it doesn't load properly, aside from to point to a campaign file in the VGA pocketstarcraft folder, so there might be a working one there.
Might have another look later, when I don't have actual work to do hah

Hi i got the full version working on my TP2 but the screen is rotated the wrong way but nvm

I love the new copy text feature..simply beautiful.
As has been reported in DZO's thread camera gives error, some issues with calling and also the dialer seems to need some work.

Uhm... a little more... lagging. RogueTools does not seem to work, had to OC via atools (not unstable) yet... example... playing music... ocasional suttering.
Anyhow, not a issue as of yet, data on SD partition though.
Hope to see improvements.

i kind of want to see somebody use my kernel for data to day use and see if it does that backward text screen of doom

I got a issue. NBH set at 240x320. Now, in portrait mode, gmail opens, but i can't open any e-mail.
In landscape mode (keyb open) i can open the emails.
Anyone replicates this ?

Mine's working just fine, but Facebook Sync does not work. Which I'm guessing is to be expected cause isn't there hack that was done to make it work?

Just out of curiousity, but how come Market fails whenever I try to set the density to 110? I can load it up, but can't view individual items, as the vending app FCs.
I would really like to use 110 as 120 causes everything to overlap each other.

Yes same problems and :
- Wifi can retrieve the network I want but impossible to get authentication (with good code)
- impossible to access of date/time parameters
- a little bit long to have the contact picture when incoming call
I use it with Haret and when I want to install an application, sdCard is unmount... And sometimes installations failed... But it's the same with Froyo 2.2
For the rest, it works fine like 3G and synchronization's with google or enterprise account for contacts and e-mail.

New version with fixed Camera in Dzo's thread in vogue AND-DEV forum.
Ohh and the camera app. doesn't FC when I switch to camcorder that's a new one for me.

Confirmed, happend when selecting a app after a search.

I think this is not a new issue since market FC also occurs in froyo (I've tried in Fat free & Not so super foryo). Even in 119 dpi setting, market will FC when I select individual item. Only at 120 density it works normally

Well that's a sigh of relief, glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this. And yes it does happen in the other builds as well.

Yah, only reason I've been trying to get 110 to work, is because at 120 everything is overlapping each other, where as 110 is the perfect sweet spot.

Had a small doubt,
i have been using fresh froyo for months now with the older 2.6.25 kernel and it is running very smoothly for me without the yaffs errors. however whenever i change the kernel to the newer one(2.6.32), i get many issues and instability.
So my question is, will i be able to run this gingerbread on my kaiser with the present older kernel? (2.6.25- the latest one updated by l1qu1d) ? or should i flash my kaiser with the newer kernels?
What else do i need to do to run this?
I have posted the same question in dzo's gingerbread thread. sorry if this causes any issues.
