How do you turn off this wifirouter?? i got it working and works fine although i cant get my archos gen 5 to pick it up but i tuned it off but my computer still picks it up although it cnt connect to it

the app is connected but i am not connected to the internet on my laptop...any answers? i tried resetting a bunch of times

is it the trial version or the real thing? is there a free way of doing it.. does it work for windows 5

is there a way to broadcast in infrastructure mode, instead of ad hoc? i would love to use a zune hd with this, but it is not able to see ad hoc networks. thanks.

the SSID is not showing up in my computer. All others (mine and my neighbors wireless connections) are showing up.

How to get my playstation 3 2 work with this router
Hi i am so damn frusterated right now with this. How do i get my ps3 to work with this router thing. My computer connects to it and recieves wifi. But when i try to find it with my ps3 it wont detect it. Does any one know how do i get this 2 work.

try this
1. connect ur trinity to ur laptop / pc via USB and run "internet sharing" on your trinity.
2. Set up an Ad-Hoc connection on your PC / Laptop and directly connect ur PS3 to it.
3. In network settings on your PC / Laptop click the ad-hoc connection icon and the windows mobile based device icon (Ctrl-Left click each one) right click one of them when their both selected and click on bridge connection from the drop down menu.
this method's a bit of a potch to set up but once its running it works perfectly and you only have to set it up once. it also lets you use the internet on your pc and ps3 at the same time.

I'm pretty late to this and NEW (newbie), but I wanted to make a quick post about it's use on my Imagio winmo 6.5 OS 5.2.21... no mods, no roms burned and this works perfectly. Now I can surf at work without the assistance of our helpful IT friends LOL.

Your laptop or pc picks up adhoc signals aswell as infrastructure, to be quiet honest, this app is very useless when advertised as a router, doesn't route anything if just limited to adhoc, adhoc = computer to computer connections, not a router to me at all! Its a very nice app for many other things though.. I see someone giving you instructions for 'ICS' doing all that just makes it all pointless and you may aswell just get a home router connected to house line!

This is one of my favourite apps. I've been using it for a long time now and just awesome.

Really love this app. Only problem is that it worked great the first time I launched it. Now it can't connect. It just keeps on cycling trying to connect to att gprs and finally says "the remote party has ended this connection". Any ideas?

It sounds like possibly your connection settings have been erased. Can you get internet in Explorer, etc? If so, please disregard this...

how do i load it in my phone

Access internet from PC via PDA's WiFi - proof of concept

When your PDA is connected to a wireless WiFi (not cellular) network, it is possible to "share" this connection with your PC. Thus you can browse the web on your PC by using the PDA's WiFi.
The connection sharing is done by two programs: WMTunnel and SerialTunnel. WMTunnel runs on the PDA and connects to the internet. SerialTunnel runs on a PC and acts as a "gateway" by accepting connections from your web browser and forwarding them to WMTunnel. Both are connected to each other via serial line (real COM port or Bluetooth SPP).

As far as i know, wmwifirouter acts like a wifi access point and shares the cellular data connection.
My software shares the wifi connection.

Yes, it will work fine using USB. You can ignore the steps using Bluesoleil since that is for BT SPPIO.

It won't work over USB. (Serial port or BT SPP is required)

Awesome, it does exactly what it says on the 'tin'. I've just bought myself an iPod Touch and using this software, I can use my 3G connection on my HTC Trinity to download from iTunes or surf the net on the iPod, if I happen to be in a non-wifi hotspot. Its like have a 3G iPhone, before they are released and without the tie in to O2.

This thread is chalk full of stupid. It's as if nobody is actually reading the title of the thread or the first post. wtf?

Does anyone know if this is possible, sometimes my router decides to break all the wired connections, and just doesnt work for no apparent reason whatsoever, but the WiFi works fine.
It would be nice to still be able to use the 'net when this happens.

i downloaded the wmtunnel and serialtunnel_setup just fine
does anyone know if that be used as a wifi adapter for the xbox 360? it would be a good use for an old apache i have laying around

[Q] No Internet access using wireless tether....

Hi,
I had this working earlier and all of a sudden it has stopped. I am able to connect to my Evo but once connected, I am not given access to the Internet. I have no clue why. Once I go back to my home wireless network, the Internet works just fine.
I am using the newest version of the wireless tether software and am using Fresh-evo-3.2.0.0. I am also using Widows 7 x64. It is set up as my home network to allow access as well. Cannot figure out what is going on. Seems like something is blocking it.
Will be back online in the am to check for replies and to answer any questions if need be so please do not think I am ignoring anyone that may reply to this tonight.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had the same problem when I first flashed Fresh 3.2. I actually had to uninstall the pre8 wireless tether, and install pre7 wireless tether and it worked just fine.

I have tried pre7, pre8 and pre9 and none of them are giving me Net access. I can connect to all 3 with my laptop but that is as far as it goes. I have rebooted the phone after each uninstall as well. Still stumped...

Okay, I just tried this on another computer of mine and same thing...in the Network and Sharing Center it shows access type as having No Internet Access yet it is a private network and the computer is connected.

Need Help to get Ad hoc on Xperia Play R800i

I really need to get ad hoc connection on my xperia play. There is no wifi connection at my office so i must share connection from my laptop to my xperia play via ad hoc.. Office is the only place i can get fast internet connection to download sd data for games thats why...
After some google n reading around i know it has to do something with editing wpa supplicant but i'm no programmer so i dun know how to.. If any of u developers can do this plz help me

Try using a software called as PDA net which is installed both on pc and android, or if you have peer networking installed in ur laptop. In that way, you can share your internet with your mobile devices

Ok My bad.. PDA net is used to share your mobiles data connection , as good as wifi tethering. If you want to share your laptops wifi connection, which is connected through ethernet, you can try enabling the peer network and bridge the two Local area connections. That way u will be able to use your laptop as wifi hotspot. Apparently i was also searching for the same.

Try this app. Your r800i must be rooted.
how to use it:
1. Install it.
2. Open it, and if the superuser asks you, choose "Allow".
3. If it's the first running, it will pop some warning. Just choose "Continue and don't" for all warnings.
4. (You'd better turn your display to Portrait mode.) Under "Disable Wi-Fi" button, there is another button but it's not completely shown. Just tap it, then the settings window will appear.
5. Set your SSID, and if needed the WEP options.
6. Press return button.
7. Tap "Try to switch to Ad-hoc mode, just to try..." button.
8. Wait a moment, and you'll be connected.

Hi,I've a Play too, and I tried the app...It actually works!But the only problem is that it works pretty randomly...sometimes it's fast to find the WiFi,some others you have to pray in chinese to get it work....many times it sees the hotspot,but the WiFi icon doesn't enlight,and disappears after few seconds...maybe there's a right procedure,or maybe the app should be improved in terms of stability and reliability.But it's anyway so cool...I'd just like to get it right when I want,in this way it feels a lot random...Keep up the job

ive definatly heard of this before but i cant remember where :/ but! i did find this, so you can setup your laptop/oc as a wifi hotspot so you can share the connection like that http://www.connectify.me/download-lite/
also, you could try use virtual router to set up your laptop as a router to share your internet connection over wifi. ive never tried it but you could give it a bash.
