Is there a way to get a tasks tab or maybe something on the main screen for tasks from outlook? It would be nice to have tasks on the main screen like appointments. Just wondering if this is possible or if anyone has done it.
Thanks!

would love that too... it's pretty much the only thing i'm missing in "sense".
Keep an eye on this thread, not sure it works with sense yet though.:

+1 This would be fantastic.
Bump. Is there anyone out there creating this? This would be extremely helpful to have.
thanks.
Add another for me. Sorely missing a "tasks" tab.
I'll donate some $ is someone wants to develop. The other two mentioned links work outside of Manilla.
I think the best option would be to ask this guy, He can work wonders with sense ui

One of the MANY reasons that I feel Sense, TouchFlo, Manila, whatever, is garbage.
They limit you to what THEY feel you need, no more. Hate it.
Good ole today screen with the right plugins is so much more useful.

I don't think I'm alone here when I say we need a new ROM. I'm thinking about making one for us. Any interest ?
This may be a noobish question, but how would it be different from the current ROM's that we have available?
not a noobish

what about built in diamond touch icons and features? like the clock and all that other good stuff? theres an idea to work with =)
I would personally like a rom without office mobile and orneta calculator built in as well as ricks extras folder. Have tried cooking my own unsuccessfully. Would go to kavanas rom but like the custom panels on ricks rom. If you are doing it then it would be awesome to have mini weather built into the rom since i'm a big fan of it!! Also you came out with a cab that adds a reboot option to shut down screen that i absolutely love, would be great if you could build that in as well org!!

I'm not familiar with the China stuff... but what's the advantage of having slim panels built in versus adding it to Ricky's or Kavana's ROM...? Does it take up less space? Is it any more stable?
Stats would like Miniweather built in as well, but is there any advantage compared to installing your cab to one of the current ROMs?
I'm not trying to shoot down ur idea... I'm just trying to wrap my head around the benefits to be gained from building everything into a ROM.
That being said, I'd probably be interested... I know for me it's annoying knowing that there's a bunch of crappy .png files (like *****X, for example) on my phone that I can't delete...
Great plan NRG
I can see your point in that since the last ROM's there have been many tweaks in appearance etc, to which could be made readily available from the ofset, including weather app would be cool, would be good if this was a project for all users so with your knowledge we could all get the ROM we want?
Mind you would be another outlay as i'd have to get another Dash the last thing i'd want to do is change the look i have on Dash

Hey yeah there is one benefit. When you reach 50 programs installed the remove programs list goes blank. It would be one less program to add to list freeing up a space for another program to be added without the above happening. Its just a personal request as well, seeing as org is thinking about doing it it makes sense to me to have his great weather app built in.
I like the idea because Im a modder..... I wanna try new ROMS, new ideas... bring it on!
I like Ricky's rom, and have been using it for quite a few months now. It does everything I need and more- but there are a couple things I would change.
-Multiple keymaps, for excalibur/dash/different language keypads
-undo the shortcuts back to original, so the ie button goes to ie, etc
-default a wallpaper in the call screen for an alphanumeric converter, or find a way to make it work properly like Tmo did
-Some sort of a reboot shortcut would be awesome! Even better- a program that reboots for you every day at a specified time
-am I the only one that constantly needs to close programs and free memory? If not, a shortcut there would be nice too!
Thats all I can think of, adding more neat programs and such is such a double edged sword- some will love it, some will hate it. Personally, I would like to see a weather program and I always load Live search and google maps, but others may just prefer to have more available memory. It seems like I have to go into celetask and stop everything, then run the free memory program twice to get enough memory to run skyfire
Are dash roms capable of UC? If they are, that would be way to go on many of the apps people are requesting.

id be very interested to see how this rom turns out you should make it
I would say man if you got the time and will power to make it go ahead. I am really interested in the outcome of this new rom.
is it done yet?
wmp
what about replacing wmp with a stream compatible player ?
Cooking....
NRG,
Looks like you got the thumbs up from everyone, how about a thread on what we would like to include in the ROM, software sugestions, tweaks etc, i'm sure all of us could provide you with resources towards your new ROM cook.

Are there any screen rotation utility with animation effect like SS Omnia's?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk1ZF3bcPMo
Cool !!!!!! hope someone could do this app for HD´n ?
Yeah, saw this on my brother's Omnia last weekend, and wondered if it was do-able on the HD. Does look pretty cool!!
i want it too!
That looks really great, I'll be very happy, if anyone can port this to the Blackstone.
Yeah this would be excellent!!
that does look slick

It could be, if someone could send me the Samsung Omnia's whole windows folder I could try and find this app or you can try it yourself!!!
just search in windows folder for the app name and extract all files from the Omnia's folders to HD folders and run the app!!!!
BUT I DONT KNOW IF THAT WILL WORK!!!!
We need someone who understands more!!!! Not Me!!!!
Wow we must have it for ou blackstones. Senseless but awesome
very very cool!!
that is excellent, exactly what i need cos i get annoyed with the slight delay and this program seems to solve this by doing something in the meantime (if you get what I mean?)
The slight delay is related to sensitivity. In this case there would be a slight delay before the animation would start.
I use Flip It which I find has almost no delay coupled with increasing the sensitivity on HDTweak.
I wish I had dev skills
These little apps are what make a difference - they add polish! Very cool if someone would port this!
Prob needs to be tied in the sensor app for touch hd an maybe some driver dependency tweaks - seems logical and not the biggest feat. But then I am no DEV.
Anyone care to answer?
Cheers
I love any eye candy software.. Bring it on.
looking good! please develop, I might donate for this!
looks great butt still noone who sead to make it for our beloved blackstone's
Can someone make a Post-it notes tab in SENSE2.5?
it would be so handy to have this. its like sometimes you just need to write something down.

Exactly!
sounds good, anyone on this?
I'm also very interested in this. It seems that the most basic PDA functions are sometimes left for more exotic features. I find Tasks(To-Do) and Notes to be 2 major functions midding in my HD2. The lame internal Notes apps is a disgrace. Would make great sense to put notes in the touch sense ui. Or at least have a good apps for this.
Im also interested
I also would love to see something like this happen. My idea of this is to have a tab that is similar to the photos tab that would have a image of a post it note with whatever you wrote on it. also a button in the upper right to make a new note and menu in lower right for new note deleting a note and whatever else the dev can think of. also it would be nice to have some kind of notification to make the person aware of time dependant tasks but I dont know if any of what ive stated is possible but would to see something like that happen.
I agree, note and to do utilities are necessary for sense.
Anyone working on this ?

I doubt it...... you need sense and it's a little limited and convoluted.
Why not just install something like Fancy Widget or Weather Widget?

i have been using fancy widget for a long while now.. i agree there is not much difference ..... but we are here to get the best and the most for our devices... if we start being satisfied in everything then this world would come to an end ..
satisfied-----> no development
no development -----> boring world

i can agree to that expect the last part
it's actually quite comfortable pace and quiet, until some one stirs up the water again.
specially all those false alarms at bugs and problems some make it out to be a big deal when it's just a tiny issue.
Now back on topic, I do like Fancy Widget better, is nicer cooler, softer, and those touch spots are configurable as a soft menu to launch apps, which is perfect !
You need the htc framework to support their widgets.
Alternative ?
- Well considering the "scrolling/animated widget" is open source (by koxx if i recall), someone with experience in java/time on their hands could come up with such a widget.

Agreed on the framework, that's why I mentioned Sense being needed.
As to someone else creating a widget, whatever they create they would have to be very careful as other widget developers have had to either terminate their widget or alter so as not to infringe HTC's patent.
in order to install this last version of Htc Clock (from sense 1.6 of desire hd) you need to flash the up.zip on a SENSE rom, if u read the entire post he explains how... bye
I've been using my iphone for the last few months but have recently decided to go back to my trusty old HOX. The problem is I've forgotten how to get facebook and twitter notifications to pop up on the lockscreen as they appear in real time. I can't even remember if they ever did do this, but I'm sure I remember something along those lines.
In ios7 the tweets and fb conversations pop up and light up the screen so you can just glance at your phone to see what's going on without actually turning it on. Is it possible in android? I noticed the social networking lockscreen option has disappeared, this might be what I was thinking of.
I'm using sense ARHD latest version, would consider flashing AOKP/CM to get this feature if it's possible.
Thanks.

Thanks, they are already syncing I just want the notification to come up on the lock screen.
I thought maybe there was a setting somewhere I'd forgotten about but now I don't think it's possible, at least not natively.
I might look into 3rd party lockscreens. If I find a solution I'll post here in case anyone else is interested.
Thanks for the help guys
DashClock (and the appropriate plugins) should be able to do that.

If you use ViperX rom, you can add applications on a one-by-one basis in their tweaks for the lockscreen. It comes up a little differently than normal Productivity sense 5 alerts, but I think that should be more what you're looking for.
