Once installed the mobipocket ebook reader onto phone, how do you access your ebook? I have my ebook in memory card but somehow I can not access it.
Anyone familiar with this please help
Thanks

Aldiko Book Reader is a good one. It reads epub and pdf files. Personally I use Google Books especially now that you can upload your own books. Also you can sync across multiple devices which I find handy. I can read on my Note than pick up my tablet and pick up where I left off on my Note. Only down side to Google Books is I think you have to have some sort off off data connection. I don't think it has offline reading.

Incorrect. You can read offline with Play Books.
I've always been partial to fbreader in the market. It seems to handle any format you throw at it.

I use Google Play Books. I notice that the Kindle app reads pdf too.

Kindle for Android
Step 1. Kindle app for Android.
Step 2. Calibre. Convert anything you have into any format you wish.
Step 3. Load converted books to your phone or any other device that kindle supports. Virtually everything.
I've used Mobipocket in past, and when Kindle came out just loaded everything to my different Kindles. When I got the Note 2, I mainly used the Kindle app for the Note 2 since the screen was so great. I still use dedicated Kindle Paper White and others, but mostly end up reading on my Note 2.
I've used several other readers, but honestly, the Kindle Android app is free, works great and syncs to my other devices when I run through Amazon. Since I can also use without going through Amazon, pretty much the best of both worlds.
The key is using Calibre to manage your ebooks though. That program is absolutely incredible.
In the Samsung guide to the Note 8 there is mention of an ebook reading software that allows users to annotate text using the s pen, make coloured highlights of text, etc. I don't seem to have this on my Note 8. I'm looking to be able to add handwritten notes with the s pen, not text entry annotation as in Play Books, Kindle, etc.
Any suggestions?
I have the UK Wi-Fi only Note 8.

This feature is exclusive to the "Readers Hub" App that should be installed stock on your note 8.0

OK, thanks for that.
Strange though, I don't have that app, and when I download it from the Samsung Apps store, it doesn't have that functionality. Anyone have an .apk they can share?
You can do that with... ezpdf
Best PDF reader with annotations... has Spen compatibility

well that is strange, as tapping on the screen (when a book is loaded) shows a top menu with a pen icon on left clicking that brings you into pen edit /mode.
You can also try downloading readers hub guide (free) from samsung store in the readers hub and it details almost everything.

The answer was that Readers Hub works in this spen-friendly way if you are opening an Epub format book (and maybe others, not tested) but not a PDF. So EzPDF is the annotation solution for PDFs, Readers Hub for Epub.
Thanks all.

ahh Nice, Didn't knew you were trying to do a pdf. adobe's reader also allows freehand annotations to some degree I think but might be lacking in some departments.
e-book reader with SPen Support Note 2/3
I am in a similar dilemma. This is what I am expecting:
A single e-book reader like moon+ or fabrik that can read both epub and mobi files.
Reader that connects to that specific folder on my Dropbox account which has all of my book collection saved in it.
Automatically scans that Dropbox folder for all the e-books and display them neatly in a shelf of 4 to 5 thumbnails per row just as it would display books that are saved on my phone's internal memory.
Gives me an option to cherry pick a book from my bookshelf. Once selected it should then download it to my device for offline reading and sync all changes to that particular e-book file only once my device is back online (similar to Repligo PDF reader).
Since I am addicted to my SPen, I want to have a similar experience when reading an e-book like I do when reading a paper book. So I would like to be in a position wherein I can not only highlight the text but scribble my own hand written notes as I read along. I then want these notes to be permanently saved on the e-book file being read (similar to Repligo PDF reader). This was possible on Samsung's reader hub app but since that has been integrated with Samsung hub, ability to upload or read your own book saved on the device has been taken away. You can only read what you buy from their store unfortunately. Although, cloud sync was not possible with Reader's Hub too.
Is there a product in the market that meets my above expectations?

Check Mantano reader (I use premium version, though may not be exactly what you looking for)

Thanks. Mantano's UX is not really good. This app further boxes up the note taking screen thus further reducing the screen real estate. Would you know if any other e-book reader. For now I am using Mantano too and moon+ for mobi e-books.
hello, I recently upgraded from a 7.0 plus to a Tab pro 8.4. So far i really like the new tablet but I am having trouble getting aldiko (paid) to work properly. The first issue i have is that when opening a book it refuses to show pictures, the book cover, or any other graphics. I have reset the app, cleared the data, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the problem persists. After the reinstall I also have the widget dissapearing and it refuses to come back as well. I have tried to get a hold of Aldiko support but i have yet to hear anyhting from them. Anyone have any ideas as to how this might be able to be fixed?
Thanks

I run Aldiko paid without a problem, but I only use Acrobat files (mostly created myself) and they are all stored in memory and not on the sdcard. Could either of these be the source of your problems?

I run mostly epubs and PDF files. All files are stored on internal memory. I am not rooted at this time, but thinking that might be an option.
For the widget issue somehow the app was moved to the SD card after moving that back the widget worked fine.
*Edit* I just recieved an email from Aldiko Support. It seems that some models of Samsung Devices (8.4 Pro included) have a compatibility issue with the RMSDK rendering engine.
Aldiko doesn't work for me either (Tab Pro 8.4),
I switched to "Moon+ Reader Pro", for ePub and PDF.

That's what i did also.
Cheers.
having the same issue. Typically the start of chapter page is blank, as it'll have a little graphic or whatever. everything works fine on my note2, asus transformer, etc etc
just the tab pro is being stupid
changing to a different app isn't that practical, as I pretty much rely on aldiko's ability to sync reading progress and library between devices
I had the same problem. Try moon reader. Fixed most of the issues. I use epub

Will a micro sd card work as a general external storage drive in the Fire TV box. I have lots of movies and mp3's which I plan to transfer to the card. Could I use VLC or similar media player to play these over kodi on the box. I know there is a limit of 128Gb card size but are there any other formatting issues or restrictions? Is it just a case of copying the files to the card on my pc and inserting it into the box. Thanks

How to partially or entirely move Kodi data to external USB or MicroSD storage
(Too new to post a link)
Once moved you can store all your Kodi library there.
Thanks Bevnrick, but this guide refers to moving kodi files and apps from the Fire TV box to micro sd. I'm just looking to play existing media files (mkv, mp4, etc) stored on the micro sd using Plex, VLC, etc whilst it's inserted in the micro sd slot of the Fire TV box.
If it's possible are the any limitations of file type/size or any lagging issues? Which app is best for this? Thanks

You can use VLC for Android, but I prefer to just use Kodi to view the files, VLC is good but I find Kodi has a better visual experience & doesn't interfere with other apps like VLC does with Mouse Toggle for Fire Tv (if you use it?). You may just need to find (browse) the files & if you want you can add them to a shortcut to your Kodi main screen.
Hope this helps
the MicroSD in the Fire TV 2 only accepts Fat32 format, so maximum file size you can have is a 4GB. Might be a work around for this, I don't own the 2nt gen Fire TV so i don't pay much attention to what people do for it.
