As i thought, reason of bug is LockStream DRM.
Using HTC Rom Image Editor i cut off this packge from my ROM.
Then i installed Discretix DRM from HTC.
After that i installed Discretix DRM from X2.
And after that all i installed just SlideView cab and it works!
--------------------------------------------------------------
If you can find in windows folder file "smsTrigger.exe" or any "Lockstream" text in registry, then it is mean Lockstream DRM is installed.
So there are two tasks:
1. Is it able to switch off Lockstream DRM without ROM fixing?
2. Make working cab from HTC & X2 DRM's
Ha, that's good
soo.. can't we just delete those 2 ?
I definetly have HTC ROM couse I'm running on Bepe and Ervius rodhium port.

if you have only Discretix DRM package and haven't got Lockstream DRM, you just need to install DRMClient from my topic.
If you use only lockstream drm package, you should change it for Discretix one and install DRMClient from X2

Found a few Emz DLLs in the imgfs.bin dump I did yesterday... might be that they are needed (and not installed by any of the extracted cabs) to make MP4 3GP work... they are called things like Emz3GPStreamingFilter.dll, EmzDecMPEG4.dll, etc.
Attached in a zip file for you, just in case it helps!

I tried all those files too, also the rgu entry related to that, and some dll from driverhigh, but still won't work.
we've already tried to use them of course. no result
I have ls dlls on my device too...
does this mean I can override the DRM?
Did you manage to crack it?
I might have more info soon...

I've made a package with the DiscretixDRM and the X2 DRM
Copy all data in the windows folder and import the two reg keys
then SlideView also runs on other roms without htc stuff
I´ll test it on Xkan's V7.04 WM6.5

May you should try to import a keys with CeRegEditor. Resco Explorer do not import keys correctly
I've played a bit around with the DRM and SlideView and have got out.
If something is already installed, such as Panel Managers X2, there are some problems.
it is better if you take a clean rom without the X2 stuff
i finally got slideview working after copying the files into the windows folder and importing the registry files...but for some reason none ofmy media plays...after selecting an mp3 file...it fades into the player but fades back out to the library.....is there something im doing wrong?

QuickCab 2.0
Like most people around here I enjoy customizing my phone. Problem is that copying files and applying a bunch of Registry tweaks by hand is tedious. I've built CAB files in the past but creating the INF files is an ugly process...not for the feignt of heart.
So I created a utility called QuickCab that makes creating CAB files easy. It doesn't support every possible scenario, but if what you want to do is copy files or change the registry, it works quite well. This is perfect for Themes, Ringtones, Tweaks, and Mods.
***Requires the .Net Framework 3.5 which can be found here

Hello. First off great program. However i am running vista and when trying to save it comes up with a blank screen.

I'm running Vista as well...when you save it, I assume you mean when you hit the Create button. If that's the case, it's writing the INF file and spawning CABWIZ.EXE. If you selected large files, it could take awhile. Maybe I need to put up some "wait..." notification?

Yikes! The right-click thing really confuses me...It's a standard control that I use for the file selection. I couldn't make that happen if I tried! When you hit the Import button, do you get a window where you can select the reg file?
Anyone else seeing these issues?

I am new to cab creation. With cabs made with this, is the cab uninstallable? If the cab makes a registry change, does uninstalling that cab, change the registry back to its old value before cab installation?
Thanks for this I am going to use this after a Hard reset to test somethings out this weekend is going to be FUN!!!!!
Very very useful program.
Ideal for vanilla ROM lovers like me
It could be even better program if we could edit cabs, changing default directories, for instance from \window to \Storage Card

Sorry for taking so long to respond, had a family member die and was out with that. I'm not an expert with cabs themselves, so I don't know the answer. It'd be pretty easy to test it out though...create a registry entry and create a cab to change it. then uninstall it.

Interesting idea. I've tossed around the idea of being able to load a cab up and make modifications to it. I'll probably have to work on the UI a bit first. Maybe in a couple versions from now...right now there are a couple of bugs I'm working on and supporting compression, shortcuts, and a default directory.
THANK YOU for the suggestion!
Great idea. Can't wait to test it when i great my computer back
interesting... will try this out & keep an eye out. thanks

It is a great application.
Just there is a problem with the registry import function: if a string value contains comma (,) then only the first item is imported, everyhting after the comma is just simply cut.
Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.
Thanks man, great app and works like a charm, really appreciate your work
Thanks for your effort!
I will try it on my X01HT.
Thanks. This will be very helpful to streamline setting up the phone after flashing.
I am trying to use this to cab some of the standard regedits I make, but I need a little guidance. Could someone please post an example of 1) how to change an existing registry key and 2) how to add a new one? Thanks.
This is the Topaz Notification Enhancement. Normally the Topaz Notification Enhancement is nothing special, but this one... This is special. This one has the special buttons from the Tachi added and has quite a bit more functionality over the standard Topaz Notification Enhancement.
This will work on both WVGA and VGA as it will auto-resize itself to the appropriate screen resolution.

1) Installation prompt to install to device/storage card [chose device]
2) Installation progress bar moves slowly to 40% and suddenly speed up to 100%
3) Message appears "PACKAGE_Topaz_Notification_Enhancement_CUSTOM cannot be installed. Install to another location?" and prompt me to select device/storage again.
Btw I did not install any notification related program. It's a fresh installation of Dutty v2.8.
Anyone who has Notification Manager in the ROM already can try this:
Download the OEM package, extract it and open folder "PACKAGE_Topaz_Notification_Enhancement_Custom".
Select all files except the two named "8b5144b7-897f-4d98-85bb-b1973a8cb87b".
Then copy the files to \Windows folder overwriting the original files.
It worked for me on Dutty's 2.8.
P.S. Actually I think that just copying the .dll files and "notifications_btn_small_press.png" and "notifications_btn_small_rest.png" from the OEM package would work, but since I've already overwritten all the files I can't test it. If someone feels like experimenting they can give it a try.

you need also "notifications_status_bg.png" and "notifications_status_l_bg.png", and these reg changes
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\MASD]
"Notification_Enhancement"="2_0_1914_1131"
but yes, it's not needed to copy everything
So please can someone repack it?
I cooked in the OEM posted and nothing looks different...it doesn't look at all like the screen shot...it looks the exact same as the regular notification's...am i missing something? the battery icon percentage is not there... the wifi icon showsup the same. It's finished! I've got a GUI made that utilizes existing command line tools to allow a user to freely convert CABs to OEM and EXT files!
As you can see, it's a simple GUI. However, it becomes quite powerful once you use it. The user can click and drag CABs into the listbox and they will be automatically added. Select the CABs you want to convert by clicking on them and highlighting them.
There is a library file that is needed in order to run it called COMDLG32.ocx. This is installed when the self-extracting archive is finished. That's what the batch file and library dialog that pops up is all about. Nothing to worry about.
There are no checks to see if the conversions have been successful, so that will still need to be done manually by the user. I hope to figure out a way to tell if they were successful or not eventually.
As for comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to make them!

Anyone willing to use cab2oem and EXT_PAckages_rebuilder.exe and create a GUI where a user can: select which cabs/packages he wants to convert, allow cab to oem, oem to ext, and cab to ext. It should be able to allow you to pick the input and output directory. It needs to be able to pick multiple cabs from different directories. I suck at graphics, so if someone could make a concept. This would be a great tool for rom cookers. Da_G had directed me to make batch files, but I was having problems with those not working with all cabs so I thought of and idea and hope could make it possible.

+1 for this! I'm sick of having to CAB2NEWKITCHEN all my cabs each time I add a new one.
Any chance the cabs you're running into an issue with are missing the setup.xml Kraize? They're the only cabs I haven't been able to convert to a package.
By the way, great work with the batch files. Cheers.
EDIT: I could probably do a concept design too but I'm leaving work soon so it'll have to wait until later unless someone beats me to the punch.

Yes. Me and Jason were having problems with the ones without setup.xml files lol. But I think that's a fault of Cab2oem, but I'm not totally sure. Maybe someone more intelligent could clue us in.
The worst part was when it said there was no _setup.xml and it STILL said it couldn't convert due to a missing _setup.xml!
Anyways, working on this in VB6 (stfu, i'm a noob)
Should be able to post something up shortly!

Good stuff
Btw guys, I suggest you wait a while (say 5-6mins) before clicking OK in the message box if you have 100+ cab files. There are still some cab files that will not convert because they do not have a _setup.xml file We need to contact the dev of cab2oem and see what we can do about that.

Aye. If you run that cab manually through the converters, it still won't convert. It's a problem with the converters, unfortunately. Well, to be fair, it's probably a problem with the CAB file's _setup.xml, because I'm pretty darn sure that the converter can find it if it's there.
When I get bored tonight, I'll take a look at it and see what's different between the CAB files that work and the CAB files that don't.
Bah! seems like god is playing with me..all my cabs converted...somehow o.o, I had to do a few manually, but they converted.
EDIT: These are the ones that didn't convert via the gui.

Gr. Bram
I have ported the lockscreen to HDmini.
To revert back just uninstall it.
[ ! ] Softreset is required after install or uninstall.
The lockscreen shows one appointment for current day and missed sms/mails/calls are indicated with number of events on orange lock.

It is the skin to standard WM 6.5 lockscreen thus it requires CHome, so if you have a custom rom with CHome removed this cab will not work.
If someone wants to make any adjustments, there is \Windows\LS_LockScene_320x480.cpr file that is easy to edit.
My original build:

Thanks to _MoHaMaD_ and sam2007 for the alternative build
(fonts changed for more compatibility, try it if the first cab does not work):

Does this lockscreen also support the standard Windows password screen after unlocking?

I think it should.
You could try to activate standard lock without installing that AndroidLock cab with this registry value:
"HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen\Enable"="1" (softreset to apply)
(to get back HTCLockScreen just set:
"HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen\Enable"="2"
)
I've got few reports that cab does not work, probably I'm not a skilled cab maker yet.
So I put here source files from the cab
View attachment AndroidLock.zip
Unzip all files to \Windows\ and apply AndroidLock.reg to set android skin manually.

I mean do not try to import a .reg file, just open registry with resco explorer, go to
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen\
and set there
Enable= "1"
This lockscreen works on my mini since I've posted it in October, no any problem.

This is very good!
You have enabled WM6.5 lockscreen that could be updated to android locksreen.
To install android lockscreen manually you have to unzip AndroidLock.zip files and then copy them to \Windows with overwriting existing files.
Then set this keys in the registry,
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen\Notifications]
"SliderNotif"="\\Windows\\AndroidLock\\lock_notif_num.png"
"Slider"="\\Windows\\AndroidLock\\lock.png"
Softreset is required to see any changes.

after this work... the slider change but it,s not android unlock
i pictuerd it to show u
am i wrong?
Hm...
It looks like LS_LockScene_320x480.cpr in your phone is not replaced by new one from anroidlock.
I'm not sure what is going wrong, try to unzip to \Windows this file: View attachment LS_LockScene_320x480.zip

MoHaMaD, don't worry, if some of files are missed, Windows just reverts to WM6.1 simple locksreen.
Most probably you haven't copied all the files needed.
Lets check, these are files you need:
\Windows\LS_LockScene_320x480.cpr [ok]
\Windows\Clockopia.ttf [?] - check if you copied it and others marked [?]
\Windows\AndroidLock\LOCK.PNG [ok] - I see it on your previous screenshot
\Windows\AndroidLock\lock_notif_num.png [?]
\Windows\AndroidLock\SLIDER.PNG [?]
\Windows\AndroidLock\calendar_icon.png [?]
\Windows\AndroidLock\point_green.png [?]
\Windows\AndroidLock\slider_press.png [?]

i copied all of them...(clockopia.ttf and lock.png and etc)
this is the screen shot that shows i copied all of them
but it,s the previous lockscreen ( 6.1)
Well, please try another version of LS_LockScene_320x480.cpr, I have just copied it from my phone, where it works perfectly.

If it won't work too, I could not imagine what else to try.

Dear Ericsonicsson
One of My Friend ( his Name is sam2007 and he is also in this site)
edited your file and it works now...
just you need to install it
please upgarde your first post in this topic with this cab...
Hi, I edited original HTC Calibrate app to work with VGA resolution (diamond, raphael..)
It is for easy calibrate touch screen from android system (any build, device with these resolution)
This app edit the ts-calibration file in ROM, not on sd card. For preservation change after reboot its important delete ts-calibration file from sdcard, but most builds without ts-calibration file doesnt boot :/

HtcCalibrate_WVGA.apk (91.9 KB) is from touch pro 2 section, its for WVGA devices
HtcCalibrate_origo.apk (99.9 KB) is from G2 (probably)
Nice work!
Why can't you just write to ts-calib in the app? Nothing will boot w/o a ts-calib. How could you even launch the calibration app then? lol.
Thank you for this, its just what i was hoping to find.
I'll try it tonight, i hope i can finally calibrate my diamond touch 2 screen.
cheers
Gavin

works like a charm, now to find the file it creates, and transfer it to the root of the sd card so it can pick it up at boot time (ie replace my calibrate file with the one created by this awesome program).

Yes, it would be best if it just replaced the existing ts-calibration file...
If I remember good, ts-caliration file from this app is in /data/ folder, but for view/copy it you need root acess file browser.
Unfortunately i am not already using raphael because i bought htc desire and I havent free sd card for testing on raphael..
Did anyone ever find out where this app stores it's calibration data?

I found the file it creates in /sys/devices/virtual/input/input3/calibration_points
I copied it to the root of the root of the SD card and remamed it ts-calibration and it worked perfectly on next reboot.
I'm on a Rhodium running GBX0C with 3.3.6 kernel (using the WVGA version of course).
hi doest it work with htc desire hd? which file do i need to download?
thanks alot

This is not even close to the proper section.
Also, the Desire HD has a capacitive screen - which means not only is calibration not necessary, but not even possible. Only resistive screens need calibration - and these screens are basically no longer being used (in phones at least).
Where are the APKs?

I see the zip files and have downloaded them. However there is no APK inside, only a couple other folders inside along with other files of which none have APK extension. Is there another installation method I dont know about or understand? Please help :crying:
Odd, I don't see any .zip files, all I see are .apk files. Have you attempted to install the files as they are from your device or have you attempted to open the .apk files on your computer? You only need one of the .apk files. One is for VGA devices, one is for WVGA and the other is the original (not sure as to what resolution that is for.

You're absolutely right when you say you only see "APK" - But, when you go ahead and click on the link, it downloads a zip. See for youyrself on the original post where the link is active. That is how I know and why I explained about what is inside the files that were downloaded; there is no apk files anywhere in what actually downloads. Maybe the link is flawed and connecting to another file the thread starter has. Idk but thanks for reading
Unfortunately, I am experiencing something different than what you are. (see below)
This is what happens when I click on the link:
Here is what appears in my folder:
I don't know if it is because I am running Google Chrome Portable or what. Are you using the links found at the bottom of THIS post?
