I am relatively new in this forum and new in flashing a new ROM. I have a HTC p3300 with original WM6 which I bought some years back. So my PDA is open (not given by a telephone company).
Relevant Information
ROM Version: 3.13.405.1 WWE
ROM DATE: 8/28/07
Radio Version: 02.94.90
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.44
ExtROM Version: 3.13.405.102
I have tried to read how to upgrade from WM6 to WM6.5 or any other good ROM, but the more I read the more I get confused.
Please can someone give me a useful guideline on;
Where to get a WM6.5 or any other good, light and tested ROM (English Version)
How to flash a new ROM
I will be very grateful for any useful advice.

Hi,
Search in forum for Artemis (HTC P3300).
You will find there all you need. ROM's, themes, etc.
The first important thing: make sure that you have ActiveSync 4.5(for XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center(for Vista or 7) instaled on you PC.

I am reading in your forums, but i dont understand very well, then I am afraid that i can damage my HTC.
I would like to request you your help to can update my HTC without problems, and if is possible where can i find the software/links to upgrade it.

upgrading comes with risk. it cannot be dispensed with.
Try mun's version TE- sticky.

I just got a new htc p3300 as a Present but unfortunately it is a French version and I do not understand any word in French. I will like to have either an English Rom or a German Rom. The PDA was bought from an electronic dealer and not from a mobile phone company so it is open and I can use any SIM card.
The necessary Information are as follows:

Date of ROM: 9/27/06
Radio version: 02.67.90
Protocol version: 4.1.13.28
ROM extension version: 1.14.406.101
Please can someone direct me on how to flash it and have English or German ROM. I have read a lot of articles on various forums but the more I read the more I get confused and uncertain.
I appreciate all positive contributions as I am totally new in this forum and its just my first time of having a PDA.
Can someone save me from this dilemma.

Hi folks,
Newbie here. I have a HTC TyTN (Vodafone V1605) on the Vodafone Ireland network. I would really like to upgrade it to WM6 to use with my new Exchange Server 2007 and I have looked through a lot of these threads and I am experiencing a severe case of information overload
I also couldn’t find any information specifically related to performing an upgrade with a Vodafone Ireland device and I’m afraid of bricking my phone.
Could any of you more experienced members direct me to the information I need or give me some pointers?

read the info in here relating to HARDSPL, I would also suggest SIM and CID unlock if you plan to change the radio version, do that before HARDSPL..

you should then be able to upgrade to any ROM you fancy. The ROMS themselves are typically non branded apart from where the CHEF has put some of their pickies in there.
dude any rom upgrade will be just that, a rom upgrade.the settings for vodafone etc will need to be updated manually later.

Hi guys, just registered to forums. Total n00b to flashing ROM for my HTC Touch Diamond altogether as phone was bought not too long ago(flashing official ROM wouldn't be hard anyway). Was wondering if I could unbrand all this Telstra crap off my phone via unofficial ROM flash and the steps on how it should be done.

then just choose a ROM. personally i like Gen.Y due to it being simple, yet nice eye candy as well

You wont find stock ROM better than the one you have. If you go with cooked ROM, you should consider that they are not 100 % stable.

I think it's a polish? version of Qtek, because at start it shows Era logo and also have Era logo on the top.
I don't know if it's important. Anyway wm is in english. I would like to make it faster if it's possible. I read a little, found rom comparision, but there is a lot of them to choose from. Which will be the best for my device ??
