ROM-COOKING gudiance !!!!

Hello...
I try / want to cook my own ROM, but I do not find an exact guidance for it...
I find only one for dumping an ROM and again to put the together again, for flashing...
Can Someone tell me, if there is an German guidance (or an link in addition) availibel how to work with the files and how to edit and translate them?

Is there a WM6 or WM6.1 Professional ROM available for the i-mate JAMA, as I am thinking of buying one from expansys while they have got them for the baraing price of £89.95?

I've this PDA too and I would like know about ROM to flash for the Italian version. As far as I know there's a WM6 version only for Chinese idiom not for English/Italian one.

yes its good to upgrade to wm6 ...
its very fast ...........
but i heared that imate jama now its coming with wm6...

Mobile Application in J2ME for Bluetooth Printer
Hi friends,I am new to j2me. I want to connect Bluetooth printer(Thermal Small Printer )to Imate Ultimate 6150 mobile. normally i connected through bluetooth its conneced ..fine.. now i want connect through the j2me mobile application to send the data to the printer and printer it should print the data..
now i am struggling to get the printer info from j2me mobile application.. also how to send the data please guide me... how to do that .. please guide me... give tips or useful links ...also what are the basic information i have read for this project.i know some basic about the bluetooth.. it has three method to transfer the data: (1)OBEX (2) L2CAP & (3) RFCON.. which one i can use... I use Netbeans to develop the j2me application also in unix platform

my jama is showing error code 9 process after trying this version and now it is not working whenever i start the device every time it stucks on errorcode 9 process. after showing imate logo. i m very much confused wat to do now ?????????????

jama orginal rom(wm5) is only available at imate service centers.i've upgrated my jama.now l could'nt find any orginal rom for this device to return to wm5.

search google for .NET framework for your PC

I used this .Net Compact Framework... This enabled me to run Hard-SPL to then go crazy on any rom I wanted...

This is Karan from India, need a advise that I ahve recently updated my T mobile to HTC S620 Rom update by Kavana, I suppose it WM 6.1, now I have been hearing about WM 6.5 as well, is it advisable to update now from 6.1 to 6.5 if yes please guide and give me the lind for ROKM download.

Read the STICKY all links and info on upgrading are there, no point me then giving you links after a STICKY is compiled, please take your time to read as all of us have had tooo, infact even easier now for new readers than when many of us upgraded.
6.1 - 6.5 is the same instructions to flash just choose ROM and do as did with 6.1...

The same procedure is used to update the phones regardless what you are starting with and what rom you are going to. Just follow the same steps and everything will work out fine for you.

The file to run is auto.bat and follow the instructions on screen, i'd go for 3Evo as it's more up to date than NRG's

I flashed my Dash to 3V Evolution (ROM) 6.5, I have got two major issues with it now, first is in Sliding profile the Volume strips r not working when I try to do it screen says system. (Whats That).
Second the Bluetooth is not working at all neither am able to send nor receive any file Mr. Stylez I request you to initize this please...

WM 5.0 for Hermes?

I searched all forums but I cant find WM 5.0 for Hermes?
I have MDA Vario 2 now, and do not need anything spectacular than WM 5.0, only important thing is ENGLISH version
One more question-is flashing same as for WM 6.0?If it is, how about putting official ROM WWE 838Pro HK?

well there is no wm5 for hermes.. in my knowledge cause hermes was shipped with wm6 by default...

BTW BEFORE!!!! you flash a new rom please please please flash the stripped Att original radio rom wm6 ok? ciao

if you flash that WM6 ithink is fine cause it seems to be original...
but if you want to flash a custom.. i mean a cooked rom
you must to flash before the att stripped.

Actually, most Hermes CAME with WM05... It was just that after WM06 came out the carriers upgraded them to that. If you look hard enough you MIGHT find WM05 but it wasn't as stable as WM06 so wasn't maintained. I know I got rid of my old WM05 roms... If you want an old WM05, look for Jasjammin's Black Magic... Was a brilliant rom in its time...
