Hero downgrade root... Help - Hero, G2 Touch Android Development

Hello,
I require a rom for my telus device which will enable me to downgrade the rom which is currently installed. This way i can upgrade to a customized rom perhaps the macado rom suggested by theunlockr.com.
Can you please provide some direction as to where i would find such a rom that will enable me to unroot my telus hero then root again!? I have tried WWE(world wide english) roms and roms created for T-Mobile + Sprint in hopes that they may have worked.
Greatly Appreciated!

Which RUU Rom?

Got my hero about a month ago, just read about the RUU Rom update
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=559622)
but im unsure which one I need. Im in the US with AT&T on a T-Mobile Hero.
My build is:
1.76.110.6
Software Version:
1.0.0.A6288
any help is appreciated,
thanks
There's no build for T-Mobile USA because Hero was not (and probably will not be) released here. If you use a RUU, you'll probably flash yourself into an unrootable state, so follow the "How to Root" guides instead and give yourself root and install Paul's MCR 2.6 instead. If you don't wish to root, then the RUU that corresponds to your phone is the T-Mo UK update, although you should be able to flash the others safely as the hardware is the same and the only difference is the region, in that case, I'd recommend the region-free WWE 2.73.405.38

[Q] Important questions before moving forward

First post, still need to know some information i need before continuing with flashing 2.2 or 2.3 on my desire. *Edit* the firmware is 2.1-update1 currently.
I have a CDMA desire with GCI here in Alaska (i dont think they will be updating this to 2.2 anytime soon) the stock RUU rom: Baseband- 2.05.10.08.11 Software number- 1.28.557.4 I cannot find this online so i can do a stock flash if it needs warranty service. Would anyone know were i could get this version?
I have not been able to find out if flashing would disable my connection to my provider when i flash it or it would result in me loosing my phone number with my provider because it is CDMA.
I have been looking into this post here, I just want to know about the two questions before i continue the process of flashing.
Thanks in advance if you help me out.

[Q] i8160 baseband/modem issues.

Hey all,
Not sure if this is where i should be posting so please correct me if i'm wrong.
So i have an ace ii i8160 on baseband XXLK7 (Orange/EE UK) and i rooted, installed TWRP and flashed the cyanogenmod 11 from [nova fusion] (it wont let me link it as i am a new user). It worked perfectly and was looking great however the phones GSM function was no longer working. I have tried a few nightlys and a few stable releases, all flash successfully and boot but with no sim function at all.
No one else flashing these ROMs seems to have any GSM/RIL trouble so i think it is a problem specific to Orange/EE UK or my baseband.
I originally thought it was a problem with the ROM but have tried a few different modem files to no avail. I was wondering if any of you could help, either with changing the baseband (would an Orange UK SIM card still work with a different baseband than the XXLK7?) or upload a good stock gingerbread 2.3.6 for the ace ii on this baseband. I cant seem to find one anywhere.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Robbie.

Needing help in changing radio baseband version ( Htc One M8)

Hello,
I have scoured this forum but the best that I could find was in this thread but sadly it is no longer active and all the links are dead
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2736921
I need help in getting other radio baseband for my m8 as I am unable to connect/use to a LTE/3g connection in my country. I have read that changing my baseband might help to solve this problem. Therefore, can anybody upload the baseband imgs or atleast point me in the right direction. I would greatly appreciate any help that you guys can give me. Below are some of my phone details
Current Baseband version: 1.09.20.0926
Rom: SLIM ROM 6.0.1 alpha 10
S-off
Boot loader is unlocked
Please help
Yours is a Verizon device, have you check thru Verizon M8 forum ?
You should find your answer in correct forum .. what I can see that you have radio meant for KitKat 3.x but you're running Marshmallow ROM .. seems you skipped two versions.
The thread that you linked above has nothing for Verizon, only GSM
Good luck

I see, I will try asking for help from there...Thank you
in addition, it seems that you are saying i need to flash a stock lollipop or marshmallow first in order for me to update my baseband version, only then I can start using the custom roms. Correct me if I'm wrong though...
I don't say that. I said you need to update your firmware to the latest.
Your device is S-Off, you don't need to install stock then update, won't work when you're not on Verizon network.
Read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...pment/stock-m-firmware-nand-recovery-t3330972
I believe you only need the "Custom firmware zip that includes all M firmware and TWRP 3.0.0.1"
I'm not very familiar with Verizon, you can ask there, the basic idea is to have Marshmallow firmware, means latest radio.
Nothing much I can help here ... sorry
