Originally I installed something which disabled the skin that covers the incoming texts and more importantly the calender reminders.
When it was back to the basic windows pop-ups I was able to dismiss a calender appointment for 5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, 1 day, which I have to use all the time since my daily schedule is so dynamic.
Currently I have the TF3D unchecked in the today settings screen, but still get the TF3D popup overlay (?) and can only dismiss my appointments which will not remind me again at all. This is screwing me up big time, please help.
TIA,
Dan
Fix finally found with different keywords and google.
Thanks for the fix!!

I have upgraded my Hermes to WM6 and wanted to start locking the keypad.
The built in Device lock is fine, however I want this to automatically lock the device after 5 minutes.
I know there is a more advanced lock that can be activated after a period of time but I don't want to enter a 4 digit pin.
Are there any custom apps out there capable of performing this task?
Thanks
Mark
You could try the "Slide 2 Unlock" app posted >HERE<. That looks like it'll do what you're after.....
HTH,
Mark.
phoneAlarm
Ok, tried this app and like it... but...
I believe I have found a issue with this application when using phoneAlarm on my Hermes WM6..
I currently have phoneAlarm configured to alert me 30 times when I have a text message or missed call. This will continue to alert me until it has done it 30 times or I hav read the text etc..
What I have found since installing Slide2Unlock is that I don't get ANY alerts now.
Is there a registry setting that will get around this problem or is it a restrictions in the application?
Thanks
Mark
Voicemail Indicator...
Is there a registry setting that allows you to turn on a voicemail indicator on the screen? That would be a nice addition.
By the way, this is a coooool app! Thanks for the effort and bring this to the masses.

Once you get a voicemail, the indicator comes on. If you don't have any voicemails (and texts or e-mails for that matter), then no icon shows up.

Not sure if this is applicable, but I had a problem with Voice Command not waking up when I pressed my bluetooth with this app. I found that by disabling the autosuspend since I had it set to come on automatically when the phone goes into hibernation (set through the battery options), it would work again.
ie: Autostart=1
BlankScreen=1
IdleStart=0

Tested this out last night by calling myself and leaving a voicemail. The only indicators on the IPhone-esque screen were 'text msg' and 'missed calls' counts. Maybe I don't have something configured properly.
thx
Is there any way I can set my TP2 to continuously play its alert/vib/screen light up every 5 minutes or so until I clear the notification off of there?
The way it is now I don't actually know that I have a new message or missed a call beyond the one time it alerts me unless I manually turn the screen on and check it myself. All my older phones were able to keep alerting you every few minutes or so until you finally hear/see it and clear the alert.
I have never seen this on stock windows mobile. It has always been alert once, vibrate once on my wm phones.
However, you could set it to flash the indicator indefinitely for missed calls and messages.
I have used Best reminder to get this function. It is not free or I would post it but it is well worth the little they charge for it.
Awesome suggestion! Thanks alot mate
or you can install this ..
and setup your notifcations to alert you.
These days I use PhoneAlarm however on a previous phone i used MSentinel which is free.

try this
I use gProfile which alows you to set the tone, the interval and how many times it sounds up to indefinite. Freeware. Would post the link but I'm in the middle of Kolkata.
On my old palm pre if I did not respond to a calendar alert it would repeat every 5 minutes until I cleared it. On this phone if I'm busy and I forget to check my alert It does not notify me again.

Not sure about the stock calendar app, but I would highly recommend Business Calendar from the Marketplace for a couple bucks. It replaces the native calendar functionality, adds, much more customization, and syncs to google or any other calendar that the stock calendar can sync to.
...And perhaps most importantly, yes, not only do you get recurring alerts for meetings, but you can also configure how many it will send, (up to 50), how much time between each reminder, what sound to use, and even configure a delay between alarms when you 'snooze' that can be e.g., 5 minutes if you hit snooze quickly, or 20 minutes if you long-press snooze.
(See screen shot from one of the config pages below)

I use Calendar Snooze. Not only does it give you repeating alarms based off the stock calendar but as it's name says, it allows you to snooze the appointment for the times you get caught off guard but need a remind again say 5 minutes before the event. Another nice option is it will read out loud your appointment and location.
Very customizable and works seamlessly with the stock calendar.

+1 on Business Calendar
thank you both for your help
I don't know how it turned itself on but how the heck do I turn off the voice notifications on my calendar appointments??? I have my appointments set to give me a notification 10 minutes prior to the appointment. The last few notifications have been reading out loud the entire appointment 10 minutes before the appointment.
Help, this is driving me nuts.
Vinny
Found my problem. I had the Driving Mode turned on. Somehow it was clicked on during install of application and forgot to shut off. There are so many settings on this phone it is amazing.
Has anyone been able how to figure out how to do this yet?
I can't figure it out for the life of me.
The "Dinner with Layla in 30 mins" home screen notification
Someone posted how and when it appears.
It only appears if you have a calendar event WITH a reminder. It has to be in the Google Calendar app natively, if you have calendars synced to it from other services, those don't work. And the reminder has to have a notification. I think it said if you have a 30 minute reminder it will show up 30 minutes before that, so an hour before the actual appointment.

I just tested this again, small correction to my original post.
It shows up exactly on your appointment reminder.
So appointment at 10am with reminder 30 minutes before, home screen will show it at 9:30am.

This works for me as described, however how to remove it.. I have pressed it and it opens the calendar, where I am given the option to delete it, I need to keep things on the calendar for the IRS but somehow swipe or have a "done" option on my Pixel 2. Searching the internet brought me to this feed, maybe someone knows?
