Hi all, new to all this.
I have spent the last 6 days scanning the forums and wiki about upgrading to the offical rom for the trinity to WM6.
I have tried super cid and sim unlocks as well as Hard SPL and many other tricks and advice from users.
None of them seem to work.
Does anyone have a real idea (a proper technical answer) as to why the progress stops @ 28% on this update and not on any of the cooked roms?
I would really appreciate some help on this.....

I know, but I have been using this for Six day's and tried all avenues. The reason to ask here is one of frustration.

my guess is something about the ipl or spl, since after you remove those and put it in a modified RUU it works..

Should I be able to load the official WM6 rom from HTC?

And dont hold me responsible if this update fails for you.
It worked fine for me.
Spl and Ipl are removed , and splash screens changed to htc screens.
Thats all , so it still has latest radio and extrom.
I advise you to soft reset when you first boot your trin and see the screen that says customization will start in 3 seconds.

Hi guys i want to upgrade my xda exec rom to wm6.1 or wm6 right now i want to know what is the best rom upgrading for people who live is in USA for xda exec. because 9 months ago i upgrade my xda exec rom to wm6 and i have right now t-mobile sim card but the antena bar is on level 1 or at most on level 2 and its no showing the fool bar but i suppose to have full bar in my area . now i want to know ids there any rom available for me to i upgrade my xda exec and fix my antena bar problem? let me knw guys.

I think it´s not a quiestion of the ROM, it´s more about radio version
I live in Mexico and tested a lot of ROM´s and radios, so I recommend you to choose the best ROM that fits your personal needs and try with different radios till you get the best signal.
Personally I would recommend Tomal v7.6 and you can start with the original radio and start form there (You can find in the Wiki all radio versions)

Recommendation would be Tomals v7.7 which run perfect. Radio Version would be 1.15. In the v8.0 Bluetooth, Infrared are still not working and there still might be a few other bugs which I did try v8.0 and was very disappointed and went back to v7.7 which I highly recommend at this time.

that´s one of the main reasons mate, on 7.6 your battery will not drain so fast, and in my personal experience it´s more stable and customizable
So givi it a try and judge by yourself.
After choosing a ROM, if I remember well, your main problem is the signal reception. So try with different radios on the same ROM

do you think we'll see any more official ROMs from HTC? The latest I know of, are the 1.93.xxx series. It seems they are working on the odd radio update (probably to try and stop unlocking?)
I recall they gave up with the Trinity after about 10 minutes. Thanks god for the cookers...
I'm very unimpressed with the performance of TF in general. If it was a bit snappier I'd be a lot happier.....Then again maybe WM6 is part of the problem - I don't know.
Love the handset and the screen.....
Well.. HTC have just released version 1.96.710.3 on the Asia web site for the Diamond for the Australian Optus and Vodaphone carriers. Won't flash onto the Telstra model - gives an Invalid Model ID error.
I believe this can be fixed however.
Perhaps someone would care to flash it and check to see what has been updated?

I tried flashing it but it hangs at 0% with an error code of 262 tried help, said to soft reset device... done but of no use, restart the system but of no use.
Can somebody help

Have you hard-spl in your device? If not flash that first

Maybe your bluetooth is broken...
try a new rom, 1.37 is so old. If your bluetooth doesn't work on a newer rom, then I don't think you will be able to use your bluetooth on any rom. Or, maybe you're not doing something right.

If you just bought your phone you might be able to have it replaced or if you can flash the original SPL and rom, maybe you can get service from HTC. The diamond is less than a year old so I doubt they would need a receipt.

Unknown... if you are getting a "hardware problem" message then it is probably safe to say there is a hardware problem. You should try to contact Tmobile UK and maybe they can arrange for service for your device; you might have to mail it back to the UK. If you can reproduce the same error on several roms, then it is most likely a hardware issue as all roms use the same methods to interact with the bluetooth hardware.

That would be a good idea. You should be able to find the files you need here on the board. I will help you look. I am thinking the wiki.....
Before you do, though, try using another rom first. It's possible that the rom you used might have some bug(s).
Try dutty's or AZTOR or the rom I have been using while I wait for something better, itje's Touch-It Experience RC1 (I like this rom the best so far... my own opinion though).
AFTER you install the stock ROM and stock RADIO, follow this link and follow the instructions closely:

If you can find the original Tmobile UK ROM, it will have the radio with it. Then you just need to follow the link above to replace your SPL.
You might be able to find your ROM here:

Start with a task 29, and then load the stock rom. If you can do that then perhaps your phone is not bricked.
Here is a link to the US Cellular shipped Rom. Let us know how it works out for you! Just keep trying, I have not bricked a device yet! =]

Thank you very much for your help. i started a task 29, but i still have the same problem. the device can't complete the boot process and stopped on the "htc quietly brilliant" splash screen.

Did you read the task 29 thread? You know there is no OS after you do the task 29, correct?
Did you try to load the stock rom after you completed the task 29?

Tink already provided you a link to the rom in this thread.
If that is to far above your head then you really should read a lot more before trying to flash a phone.

I loaded the stock rom successfully. But this ROM consume the battery fast (the battery life is 4 hours without using the phone) So i want to change the ROM.

Good job! I am glad that it is working for you now! That is strange that the shipped rom is having such a negitive impact on your battery life. Feel free to flash one of the many custom Rom's that are freely available. Have a blast out there!! =]

Did the unlocking program not work for you? If that is the case then you will have faster feedback if you email the addresses listed on the error screen of the unlocking program.

I used the Hard SPL mentioned in the post "Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe" and after activesync successfully done the Hard SPL gives me an error on the PC "[error 260: connection]" and the phone give me a warning "This package is not intended for your device type!!! High chance of bricking!!! Exiting now".
how to solve this problem.

Awesome! You are welcome for the help. Remember that your device is a RhodiumW and not a Rhodium. The post that you linked to there first was for a Rhodium. The process is similar though. You can read about the process here for your device. Also, you can download the unlocker at:

It sounds like you have a CDMA TP2. I would sugest that you read the forums at PPC they focus more on CDMA roms.

Now I would sugest the Energy rom myself. Lots of people like it. I am running an android rom, but I would sugest you get the hand of WM first. You can run the android rom from and SD card, but if you want to load it from internal nand memory it is much more complicated.

You don't want the Rom for Herman, you want the Rom for RhodiumW... let me see if I can find a copy here.

That is because you are trying to flash a Rom not intended for your device.
