Yes, you can boot into the bootloader (hold volume down and power when the device is off) and flash the EnergyROM made for CDMA devices such as your Sprint TP2, instead of the one of GSM devices, as I assume you flashed by mistake. After that, everything should work just fine

First, step back and don't panic. Where did you get the Energy ROM? Here at XDA? Sprint is a CDMA carrier, and Energy in THIS forum is GSM. If you want an Energy ROM for your Sprint Phone, go to the link below and download it. In the meantime, I would go ahead and download Task 29 for CDMA and run it prior to flashing the CDMA Energy ROM. Do you know what task 29 is? Was this your first attempt at flashing a custom ROM? Sorry for all the questions, but I need more information from you to be able to help efficiently. However, I don't think you have bricked your phone for good.
And just remember, for all future CDMA Custom ROMs, stay in the PPC Geeks forum. There are MANY really good ROMs for your phone there.

While plugged into USB, just double click on the Task 29.exe file, and it will run the process as if you are flashing a new ROM. After it is done, it will soft reset your phone, and stop. If you have never done it before you may think you have bricked again. That's because there is now NO operating system on your phone for it to boot into. After it gets to this point, pull the battery out, and while holding down the Volume down button, reinsert the battery. When the multi-colored screen comes up release the Volume down button and watch until USB comes up at the bottom of the screen. At this point, just flash your new ROM as you usually would. This should clean out all remnants of any previous bad flash. Glad you got your phone back!!!
it gets to the progress bar, then quits saying that the utility could not be used on my device, what do i do?

For some reason, it seems that many of the guys who have been on these forums for quite a while forget that THEY TOO were a noob once. You'll be helping others out before you know it. I'll see you over at PPC Geeks. That is where I stay most of the time.
My TP2 is a CDMA, my wife's is an ATT Tilt2, so I try to keep up in both forums.

Assuming that you downloaded your Task29 utility at PPC Geeks, and it's for CDMA I'll have to think about that one for a minute. Are you connecting successfully to ActiveSync via USB? IF not, I would try rebooting the computer. If you ARE connected to ActiveSync, Any time I have had this fail, it has been an ActiveSync issue, but can't remember if it was telling me that it can't be used on my device.

It happened to me twice. Once when I tried to flash a HD2 ROM and once when I tried to flash a CDMA rom to my GSM Rhodium. Maybe our friend th4t1guy has a GSM Rhodium? This message saved my phone 2x. Otherwise, it could just be a bug.
I did my best and researched as much as I possibly could before having to ask because I am aware that this question is asked repeatedly. I just cant seem to figure out what the issue is.
Ive been trying to root my HTC One Max for the last week + with no success whatsoever. When restarting to bootloader menu (Vol Down and Start). It says my OS is 2.16.xxx. I did a factory reset just to make sure everything was like it was when I got it. Being a verizon HTC I assumed there would be problems but Ive exhausted everything my knowledge is capable of, which is limited. I unistalled drivers, reinstalled, trying different ones. Windows 8.1 is annoying with it but I got the drivers to work. I uninstalled HTC Sync, and ran rum runner. I tried them all, doing a factory reset in between all of them to make sure that when I was trying a different one it was from scratch. I turned off the AV, turned it back on. Tried it every which way.
Are these newer OS's not compatible with rumrunner?
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do?
It would be appreciated immensely. Its such a great phone, I really wanna root and learn more about it. Im also taking java in school at the moment so if I have to do something going in that direction I will try..
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
The rumrunner process has gotten as far as "chilling....." Then it says there was an unexpected action, and to install another ROM. Its driving me mad. The last rumrunner i tried was rumrunner_t6wl_1.11.605.4
You are in the wrong forum. This forum is for the HTC One (m7), not the One Max. Look in to weaksause to get temp root and firewater to get s-off. Not positive, but i believe they should work on the max.
Ok, so I thought something was up with my phone and it's now been confirmed that the phone was hacked. I've tried factory resetting it several times, but I can't get rid of whatever is on here. The hacker also managed to infect my personal laptop as well as my work desktop and laptop. What do I do and I how to i go about getting rid of everything from the 3 computers and the phone.
Kinda need some more details. How do you know you've been hacked? What are the symptoms? Which exact phone (model) do you have? What's the OS in your computers?
Do a ODIN reinstall on your phone instead of a factory reset from the phone. If you use ODIN to reinstall the whole software you should get rid of anything that you could possibly have. if you have a SD card currently in it just get rid of that to be on the safe side. make sure you have all the correct settings checked in ODIN and this will leave your phone as new.
Same thing with your laptop/desktop do I a complete fresh install unless the "HACK" affected your BIOS.
Did you catch the virus too? Ya dead, or what @Dcanestri?
Hi,
So I have a rather unheard of problem. I was given a phone from a friend before they moved out of state and have no way of contacting them anymore. I turned it on and it had a pass code so i just figured i would do a factory reset ( or what i assumed to be a factory reset) using the buttons on the phone. I used the recovery menu to get to the screen that gave me the options to wipe data, or install update from apk, or factory reset the phone so i used the volume buttons and clicked reset. I let the phone do its thing and when it turned back on it goes to the google factory reset protection page saying i need to login using a google account that was previously used on the phone before the reset. FML! i used the talk back option to be able to access the settings menu and figured i would just do the reset from the settings menu. This is were all of my problems begin!! I can access the settings menu and get to the back up & reset and then click the the Factory reset option. However, the factory reset screen has a button at the bottom of the screen that says Reset Phone and when I click the Reset phone button, absolutely nothing happens. (It makes a click sound but it doesn't do anything at all)
The Other Problem!!: For some unknown reason i cant seem to access the developer options and enable USB debugging. even after i put the phone in safe mode i still could not get the developer options to appear. I have no clue what i am doing wrong but i feel like i am running into a brick wall and not matter what i click or press the phone just will not do what it is suppose to do! I tried every way I can think of to enable USB debugging but, no matter how many times I try to click Build Number or Build Version ( whatever it is exactly called, hopefully you can understand what I mean) nothing happens! I have tried to install a USB debugging app from a qr code but it won't read the qr code from the camera app. I was able to access the camera app using the same talk back trick that i used to get into the settings. I keep telling myself if only i knew about the talk back trick to get into the settings menu before i stupidly reset the phone when i first saw the pass code. So I am hoping that a google FRP Bypass program will work and help me make the phone usable again!! Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?? I am open to all ideas.
So far i have come up with a few ideas but idk if any of them are even possible to accomplish! Can someone help me out and tell me if any of the following options are even possible and whether or not it will be helpful and make the phone usable so i can have a cell phone again. Please, Please can someone help me!! Ideas:
1.) Use a Google Factory Reset Protection Unlocking program.
2.)Somehow completely delete the entire phone and reinstall the marshmallow android OS, like when you would do a fresh clean install of windows on a PC, (IDK if this is even possible but i am assuming it should be)
3.) Rooting the phone and finding a new custom ROM. ( I haven't even done anything like or close to rooting a phone, but im guessing it cant be that hard, right? Google and YouTube have vast amounts of tutorials........, hopefully,....right?
4.) I have backups of my older phones that i am wondering if it would be possible to use one of the backups i have saved and somehow putting it on the phone as a way to get pasted the FRP lock? I haven't a clue if the backups are only usable to the specific phones that created them or if they can be used on any phone?
5.) Downgrade the Android version to a older version that doesn't have the FRP lock, then once i have access into the phone i can just upgrade the phone after i logging into my google account.
6.) You know how Windows PC have the restore option in the settings so you can go back to a previously made restore point? Like turning back the clock so to speak, Is this option available or does it even exist at all on Android? I was thinking if it does i can just simply store the phone back to before i stupidly reset it and then use the trick to bypass the screen lock code and use the settings to do a hard reset ( I really don't think this option even exists or is possible but im literally at the point of willing to try and do absolutely anything to be able to have a phone again! Please and thanks! It is a ZTE Z837VL and it is Android marshmallow, Android Version 6.0.1 (I'm not sure if the
Android version matters or not?)
Thanks. Also If this is the wrong place for this post then please just let me know where the correct spot is to post and i will quickly fix it!! I am new to the site and I have read alot of posts and truthfully, feel like i have overwhelmed myself with trying to make sure i do things the way its supposed to be done. I know many most likely ALL of the members on this site are advanced and way more knowledgeable about the mobile phone information. I do know alot of computers and I have alot of programming experience but i have only focused on PCs and am just starting to learn what i can about mobile development.
Thanks again for helping me and sharing whatever you can with me to help solve things. I am really hoping not to end up with a paperweight haha!!

Hi
I have a problem rooting my phone.
Thing is that it is my company phone which is supervised by snowsoftware.
We are allowed to use it as an private phone aswell but since it is able to track like everything I do... You know...
Anyway, I've tried to do a factory reset but when I restart it afterwards it still wants me to log into snow before moving on...
I have also used Odin with Albvirals firmware and combination files with same result!
Is there anyway to get rid of this annoying software with some kind of deeper operation?
I hopte that some of you expert can help me!
