I’m looking for a program that can filter my calls. I’m not trying block any calls but to have incoming calls from contacts ring or vibrate and all unknown or no caller id’s ring silent. Any suggestions? Thanks

Is there a way to change sound level for SMS notification during a call? Its a bit annoying, and I can't find any option for this in the phone...All other phones I had before used to make short bip sound when message is received during a call, bit Desire plays normal, too loud incoming SMS tone. I have this same problem with Desire as Touch Diamond.
When i'm in a call and recieves a SMS/MMS I hear that sound for that event in the phones speaker and makes it IMPOSSIBLE to hear what the person on the other side says thus missing alot of the conversation.
Is there a way to disable incoming SMS/MMS sound during a call?

Installed, i.e. sideloaded WhatsApp on Amazon Fire HD10 after installing GooglePlay. App is running OK for chat messaging. Outgoing voice/video calls are also working fine, but there is no audible ringing on incoming voice and video calls (despite ringing being enabled, also for WhatsApp), i.e. screen shows incoming calls, which can also be answered, but no audible ringing tones-
Anybody has an idea how to resolve this? Any patches etc.
P.S. On Skype, audible ringing for incoming calls is working fine.

Actually, i'm looking to have an option of blocking calls with "Continue Ringing, OR Mute"
You can use Tasker to block/mute incoming callers that's not in your contacts. I have been doing that for several years now, except I have it to accept the call, wait 1 second and then hang up. Doing it this way keeps callers from leaving voice mail.

Thanks, this can help. But i dont want to have caller screen if caller is not in my contacts.
But your trick will for now, I will share if i find something i'm looking for.
Hi, when I receive calls from Whatsapp on my MediaPad T, I can hear it ring, even the individual ringtones assigned to a specific caller. But the "thing" doesn't appear where I can accept the call thru swiping up. It rings in the background, without the visual part.
The same is for skype. It rings, but the screen remains dark. I've to open skype and only then see the call and can swipe to answer it.
Is there a way to change this?
