X1 Default camera..not htc one! - XPERIA X1 Themes and Apps

Hello,
I have been search a lot for the SE default camera app...it's much better than the slow HTC camera app...
I found the update R3A, however, i cant find it in programs and didn't replace htc camera app...
Could anyone help?
I am using Touch-IT Xperience v15_Build23502 Rom...

My problem was the SE camera software and I was desperately looking for a HTC camera .cab. So came back to Tf3D I personally don't really like because SE software sucks with movie and HTC app - maybe little slower works with it without problems.
Maybe this will help you: link

This rom has both camera app: HTC one and SE one
If you want to use the SE one, just use the hardware button on the side of the phone...

I know this issue...
When you have remove R3A app, you have remove some files needed for SE app so it won't work anymore.
Just re-install R3A app and all will work with the hardware button

I am using the latest EnergyROM and I have both cameras installed and working (HTC and Xperia) but the default one is the HTC (e.g. when I open WorldCard it launches the HTC one .. not Xperia) how can I cancel the HTC camera and keep the Xperia camera only?

Use the camera HW button to launch the SE camera

HTC X-button where can I get it

"HTC X-Button" application is included in latest Pocket PC phones manufactured by HTC and recently it even surfaced on the Internet in form of "HTC X-Button.CAB" file, that can be installed:
Does anyone know where this can be downloaded from????
Need that as well.
Me too...me too
Ditto to that. this seems a good way to alter the way the X works.
I've asked around to see if anyone I know can get it.

Erm no they're not. The fist posted x-button doesn't even add the system icon. Plus It dont work. Also the chksum is completely different
Yeah thanks guys, got it, used it and deleted it.
Its seems to close programs but makes everything slow down in the process - to the point of crashing. Think I will just use O2 task manager and close them my self.

Does it have exclude option? 'cause some programs I'd like to minimize rather than CLOSE!

No, exclude option. Just press OK if you want to exclude the running app. It will then be left running in the background. The X button works by closing apps only when you tap on the X.

It's not free to use.
camera
correct it is not free, the beta, if you can find it will work for a while.
The big change I would like to see is a better night shot feature, I had a wizard and with Cool Camera, you could select night and it acted like a night vision camera, it worked real well in low light.
I know the camera is able to do the function, it's just the programming that needs to be reworked.
yeah the camera can definatly be able to do that, but it just needs a program that will be able to do the cropping and expanding without killing the processor when taking a video and zooming.
thats why i liked nokias so much.. u could pritty much make an entire home movie on a nokia, and it will look professional.
the graduated zoom on them is amazing,...

I think you might want to go to the HTC Snap forum for that one!
i tried that..theres like 6 posts in there with nothing pertaining to anything useful..lol
thanks tho!
so far everything I had on the Dash works on the Snap. The only app to give me any issues was Duke 3D but after tweaking the files it works fine.

Change Camera button to HTC Camera

Sorry to create a new thread just for this question.
I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere in here, someone posting a registry tweak to change the default application run when you press camera button.
I've already try to search it, but I can't find it
Can someone please show me the link?
Also, which one have the better quality picture, the default Xperia camera or HTC camera?
I hate the default one because it take a while to take a picture
Thank you
You can change the registry entry, HKLM/Software/Sony Ericsson/Camera/ and change the key to point at where the HTC camera is.

I tried this but it's not working it displays message something about CameraRunner.exe...
In my experience, the Sony Ericsson (hw key) camera works better, performance-wise.

HTC internet browser dismantled from play store

This is a very sad news, the play store reports that the HTC Internet Browser will be removed on November 30. This has been my internet Browser since always and I can't believe it's going away. It was the best. It seems that HTC it's so money lacking right now that it's basically removing all the sense applications that has made HTC famous. The HTC 10 has basically google stock interface. It's a great shame, this way they will never re-gain their market share. They cannot sell a top phone with android stock interface.
They can, and they do it. But your right.
alternative look for Gello MOD here on xda.
very good feeling

Well that is a Google phone, HTC doesn't even have a mark on that. Who wants stock Android should buy Google phones, if I buy an HTC I would like to see something different

Indeed , sad , just like the htc gallery not available for htc 10.
Can we recover those apps from a htc One and upload them on a htc 10 ?

Yes , but I can't get it for htc 10 . Play store replies "Not available for your device."
But I 'l get over it. I m using my Moto X Play as guinea pig to change the ROMS . So far I m having fun
Getting to understand the dialect and function. It's a fun challenge for sure.

You can install it on HTC 10.... That's why I posted you the link. You can't install it from Playstore. Apkmirror will have the latest version.
Both CM (LOS) and Sense htc10 this works on.
Anyway it really is a shame that the HTC 10 is a wonderful device at hardware level but it doesn't have all the magic of HTC sense Software anymore, they are in financial crisis and they are basically killing off the sense. This way they won't get better, no one wants to buy an expensive HTC device with Android stock interface...

My apology , I was on Maggoo mode I guess. I will work my way towards Lineage instead. I have "Ginea pig" my Moto X with CM13 and I love it. No more google invasion !! Just bare minimum.

No apology necessary. It's unfortunate how they block our devices from downloading the applications from Playstore. I was able to fix an issue with a FC on Sense but it wasn't anything that made it unusable, just when trying to set a background in Themes App, it would FC, but that's fixed. On LOS the one and only issue is unable to set your User picture, not anything to worry about. I set it with another gallery app and then all good to go.
LOS ROMs are running great, I suggest Ressurection Remix personally, has the most customization. Offers great support, runs smooth, and battery is very good. Only thing is no Advanced Calling (on all LOS ROMs) but maybe that will come with time.
