assign soft key action... - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

ok, i'm not getting a response in q&a, so, sorry if this is in the wrong section...
anyone know if it's possible to assign a shortcut to the softkey action
(ie. the softkeys are different in word to those on the today screen, can i assign a shortcut to that action)
i use a bluetooth keyboard which can be configured to any shortcut. it would be real handy to be able to just hit a couple of keys rather than reach for the devices tiny screen everytime i want to activate the menu.
cheers
or even just to have the pop up menu in word would be real handy
cheers

anyone!???

assign new text message screen to hard button - possible?

assign new text message screen to hard button - possible w/o SPB Pocket Plus??
I have SBS pocket plus and in my case is a memory hog... but i admit it has a nice feature where you can assign a shortcut to the new text message screen to any hard button... is there any program that can give me that feature (specifically) or any of you gentleman or ladies know how I can "activate" that shorcut from within windows, registry, etc?
New menu for wm5 will allow you to do that - assign to left or right softkeys see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40088
Or with Vjsms you can assign this program to hardware button through settings\buttons see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=26972

How to remap shortcuts on Tmobile Wing?

I want to use icontacts and have it launch when i push the standard contacts button on the lower right side. I don't really want to use a program like claunch just to put one custom shortcut on the mytoday screen. Thanks !

Creating a shortcut to tab-button and others?

Hi!
They removed the tab-button (at least on the swedish keyboard) which I use frequently. I can´t find it in the virtual keyboard either. How do I create a hardware keyboard shortcut?
There are some other shortcuts I would like to create as well (to calender and maybe more).
Please be concrete, I don´t know how to change registry and such.
/Derik
Anybody have an idea?
The D-pad buttons act sort of like the tab button. Press the desired direction followed by the enter button to activate the filed you wish you had tabbed to.
haha

Click to collapse
Where are the D-pad buttons on TP2? Did I miss something?
Did you mean the directional keys?
The things is that I use it within Worddocuments to make indentations (Swedish: indrag) in the text with with list bullets. So I really need a tab-button.
I´m just reviveving the thread again.
There must be some way to be able to use a tab-function? All the hightech here... It´s essential in my writing, which is the main reason I have the TP2.

Start Menu Keyboard Shortcut

Everyone,
Does anyone know how to set up a keyboard shortcut to the Start Menu? I want to be able to press a button on the keyboard to open the start menu. I can assign a button via the Send button (using button programming in Settings, a stock Windows Mobile feature), but I can't see how to get the the keyboard.
Any ideas? Thanks!
there is a key remapper program in the apps, themes, & software subforum that someone made that can do this.

mapping the "ok" button is driving me crazy! FOUND SOLUTION!!

hey people, i've been searching for over two hours on how to map the "ok" button to do what it normally does...
i'm on energy rom right now, with everything necessary installed to map keys on my att tilt 2.
what action do i map the "ok" key to?
i've searched and:
i cant find "back to previous screen"
if you map it as close window, and you click the windows key and the ok, the windows key no longer works
(forgot where i found that piece of advice)
what do i do?!
and sorry if its been answered many times, i really cant find it!
EDIT:
FOUND THE SOLUTION, at the bottom of the page. WORKS FLAWLESSLY!
Funnily enough I had to search to see what you were talking about. I assume the OK key on the keyboard.
I can only guess the best mapping would be to the OK in the upper right hand of menus for programs.
What ok button? A hardware button or a software button?
on the att tilt2 theres an "ok" button between shift and home on the keyboard.
i dont know what to map the button to in order for it to work like it supposed to in the original rom and i cant find the solution anywhere.
Bottom row from left to right:
Tilt2: shift, OK, Home, comma (mail), space
TP2: FN, Mail, SMS, comma (SYM), space
Sorry, don't think that there is a solution for mapping the OK button yet. The best you can do is to map it to minimize the current window. This is one of the reasons why I'm switching to RRE's rom, as it includes the AT&T keyboard dll. I use text/email a lot with the keyboard out and want to be able to use the ok to close the message and go back to the message list. You can only do that if the original OK functionality is present.
best bet is to use this program to do so...works great!!
