getting XDA to work properly
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi All
Whilst browsing this site I decided to do some experimenting with my XDA and can't get it to work properly. Can someone give me some guidance.
I was trying to get all of the o2 goop off so I basically insalled WM2k5 of buzzdev.net and it stopped working, no phone, no camera, no contacts, calendar etc. I hadn't backed up either.
So I installed wm2k3se off buzzdev and everything was working except my camera. When I do a hard reset it starts up and then as its insalling the applications it gives an error saying it can't install application as it is meant for a previous version of windows and then the whole thing freezes. I do a soft reset and it starts up as normal.
I haven't spotted any other things wrong yet but i'm sure there is.
Can anyone help me get the camera back and decent WM?
u should install extended rom unlocker than run each application manually.
reply me if u dont get the solution from this.
Hi
where do I get the extended rom unlocker from?
thanks
I have recently rooted my Boost Mobile Android 4.1.2 Version GC01 Samsung Galaxy S2 (Epic 4G Touch) and I am trying to install LMT/Pie control onto my phone. I have tried several version of the program and even after a successful install and giving it superuser access I can still not manage to get the gestures to respond to anything I do or even open the pie. I have fiddled with the settings and still cannot get it to work.
Is anybody familiar with the the tool and able to help a noob?

Are you able to grab a logcat? Grab one and post it here (pastebin link or a .txt file please, don't paste the log in the thread) or PM me and I'll see what I can do to get it working for you.
Look in my Signature under My Works for a guide on how to get a logcat ;

Hello,
I got LMT installed with BlackBox ROM. But I am having trouble with gesture and pie control longpress. I am not able start any app with longpress. It shows the app icon after longpress but does not start it.
Could anyone please help? I tried posting this in the LMT thread but that does not allow me to post because I have less than 10 posts.
Sorry if this post was not allowed here.
So, i installed kingroot on my lg g2 and i figured i should try to get rid of some bloatware. I didnt make a backup of any apps. So i uninstalled a couple apps that that looked safe to delete and anyways it all works fine, until i restart my phone. Im getting like 3 error messages system UI is not working and a couple other apps, i cant navigate anywhere. The settings on the boot screen and i can navigate through them. I tried to flash the stock rom but since i have the sprint version and it has a different file type. All lg flash programs use kdz. I dont know how to reinstall the built in apps. Help, i know i was stupid for doing this and its all ny fault but can someone help me get it back to its original state. Thanks!

Get the stock ROM for your tablet's 3G variant
Extract the system.img
Get the dialer app's APK and install it on your tablet
Attempt to dial the code
Hope this helps!
Thanks TriDiscord for your advice.
I don't know how to find that kind of stock 3G ROM.
For informaation, in the Applications Manager/all I can see the Phone application version 4.4.2-P5210XXUBNK2 (max update), more, it seems to be activated as I've a button to kill it, but I don't find it's icon in the list of applications...

You need to get the stock ROM of P5520 and extract that.
The Phone application is allready inside my ROM but I doen't know how access/launch.
Where can I find a stock 3G ROM ?

As I said, you can install the P5520 stock ROM for 3G capabilities on your tablet. Note that you won't actually get 3G, but you will have access to the Phone app.
I understand, but if Idon't know where I can find that ROM I give up.

Use the Frija tool to download it
I'm learning about Frija tool. I hope I'll be abble to use it on my Mac.
Thanks for the idea.
Frija tool, as Odin, Samsung drivers, etc. are windows only. Just to manage one appli that is already here, but don't launch, I'm not going further. I know there are solutions to deal with win stuff on my Mac.
Even if I get the 3G ROM, without installing it, just to extract the Phone application, I'm afraid that it will not be good.
I tried alternative dialers, including the Google one, they launch but don't work with secret codes. An other application could deal with that codes on a wifi tablet. These codes are useful to test the tablet.
