I have been running black2.0 and its great! Quickly got donations after only a day of usage. No resets required @ all. There has been no lock-ups yet. I have had it on my phone since it was released
P.S. Flashing has become very addictive!!! Anyone know what to do with the MONKEY...LOL
Definitely LVSW all version - the most professional release around.
So far the only OS so far that has supported all of my programs properly, as well as VoIP and other enhancements is Black 2.0.
Dutty's WM6 comes close, but I haven't been able to get VoIP working with it properly yet.
As for the LVSW editions. I installed his first release and quite liked it, I've been wary about flashing the more recent versions however after the white screen issues. (I'm sure its been resolved by now though.)
Running a custom version of black 2.0 myself
all are good!
all versions run good, the difrence is mainly the add ons.
be ware of SPB shell...

I have to disagree. Go into the thread and read the user experiences. It's heavily "bugged".
1. Dialer without buttons (will appear for a while after soft reset)
2. Explorer when launched hangs the device up (soft reset necessary)
3. connecting to 3g/gprs the device blocks (soft reset necessary)
IE is completely unusable, and even if you use opera, you still can't get gprs. Ans that us with all 3 versions. I tried them all, and now back to LVSW (08-04)
Dutty knows this and has promised a revision soon. My vote goes currently for LVSW.
I've only tried the black Black and the latest LVSW, but my vote goes to LVSW.
right now i'd go with black. i've flashed all of kyphur's public ones, lswv 3-23 and all the black flavors. been happiest with 2.0 but can't wait for xda live 0.3
I would have to vote for Black 2.0 and XDA Live .30. These are by far the most stable for the apps that I run. I have run pretty much the full suite of SPB software on both without any problems.
I keep switching back and forth as I can't decide which I like better.
used only BLACK. never had to think of trying the others...

ok so wmxl 0.3 is still based on an old beta build.
LVSW, of course
On Black2.0
tried a few, but Black2.0 does it for me, just well works...
Even got motivated to send JJ a donation/beer or two.
Going on with Black 2.0
Even though Live messenger does not work for me im happy with it..

Here's a cab to enable SetAcousticParam, it's mainly built for my rom HCLite 3.62 since I've disabled it and removed all files related to SetAcousticParam. I think it will work for other rom too with SetAcousticParam disabled.
After install SJ SetAcousticParam.cab select OK to reboot the device, then run SetAcoustic located in Start Menu - Programs.
Let me know if it really works as I don't feel any difference whether it is enabled or not.
It makes a big difference for me.

I'm Sorry,
I guess I didn't read your whole post.
I didn't notice you wanted us to try a cab.
Okay,
I went ahead and flashed your HC Lite 3.62 to give your cab a try.
Sorry to say, it made no difference.
Your Rom, just as many others, are prolly plenty loud for most.
But for me, I need the boost we get from a proper install of SetAccousticParams.
Thanks Anyway
@berdinkerdickle
Thanks for the report! but have you tried it with other rom?

No I haven't
I have always just dumped the roms I like, and then add it in myself.
I just ran it with one of the WM6.1 ROMs and it made quite a bit of difference.
Thanks!

Hi sakajati's!
Well i've tried the cab, followed the steps you posted, but on my HTC Touch Dual doesn't make any difference. The screen flashes form time to time when i try to enter windows directory and the call volume is almost the same... can you point me in the right direction about what shoud i do next... i gota say, my skills are low in this mater so i need some help Please! I noticed that the cab is for Hermes and that coul be the cause but i just couldn't find anything else that can mach my skills in order to solve the volume problem so, i'm asking you for help if you able to do so! Thaks alot in advance!
Yes it helps
Im using PDA Corner v5. Audio is always set to highest to get clear audio. With this patch, i get the same quality at 1 scroll below 100%.
So ... yes it works for me.
Thanks sakajati!
Keeping an eye on this
Seem to work with some ROMs and do increase acoustic performance for those that doesn't have set acoustic param running on install.
Did not work for me..
It does not seem to work.
I ran the program. It blockes my trinity near the end of the progress bar.
I have akeo ultimate as ROM
thanks and good luck!
thanks
It works with my hermes, I'm using PDACorner V 25
Thanks
Your cab works for me on CRC R13 (NBS) rom. Of note is that CRC r13 has it cooked in. However the cooked in version did not 'run' for me on first boot.
I've just tried it on my Hermes as my in call volume is too loud but I'm afraid it's made no difference.
I'm running TAI_sw 21109 Manilla ROM just for info.

If anything it will make it louder, not quieter.
Im sure you can just turn the volume down?
is there a way to lower the overal system volume? perhaps just for the case when headphones are connected?
HTC Hermes 200
ROM: CRC_r13.5 - normal
Radio: 1.54.07.00 - Czech T-Mobile so far only use-able Radio
Works great:
Problem: Very low Voice Volume:
Disabled startup animation - Not helping
Temporary Fix with registry - Not Helping
SetAcoustic from you - about 30% boost, 5-10% lost on Quality.
Still could boost at least 15-20% if that would be possible.
Can anyone recommend a ROM similar to the "EnergyROM Series 3.0 21215 - Manila Edition" for the Rapheal?
My friend has this ROM and its amazing but i don’t think its compatible with my Diamond.
Suggestions please!
Thanks
My only suggestion is to ask NRGZ28 to cook up a Rom for the Diamond. He had thought about it at one time I am running his right now on my Raphael and it is very Fast and stable.
I would like to have this also..
I've tested this at work some day, previous version of Energy ROM, already with TF3D2 included which was pretty sweet running and probably the 3rd version is even better.
Who contacts him?
I too have had my eye on this rom in the raphael section and think it would make a gr8 diamond rom

Hi there Sam_C.
I don' know the Energy ROM you mentioned but from what I read from the thread I think you would like to try ShaksP 4.20 ROM. It has many of the Goodies in the Topaz ROM (new keyboards and menus, etc.), is very fast and ROCK SOLID.
I tried MANY, MANY ROMs for the Diamond and this one I recommend without reserve.

Shaks ROM is stable but if you try energy rom on rapcheal then only you know what is fast. Anyway cause to our limited RAM Shaks already put our Diamond to it's limit. Thanks Shaks
Well I guess it's a good thing I saw this thread eh ? I will try making a ROM for the diamond today, but I need someone to beta test to see if it boots properly, since I don't have a Diamond (!). If anybody's interested please send me a PM. I only need a couple people that have time on their hands to download, flash, test.... maybe a few times until we get it right Thanks
Testing Energy for the Diamond
I am happy to test your rom. I had the fuze and then went to the diamond i was not a fan of the keyboard. Your roms kick ass! All of the present ones for the diamond are great but they use too many resources or the light ones come with jack. So I will be happy to test. Send me a message and i will take care of this happily.
Shokouhi
If it is WM6.5, I will be the first to test it- well hopefully. Lol, it's hard to get off 6.5 once you're on it.
Thanks NRGZ.

I'll join in for beta testing. I've tryed many different 6.5 ROMs so far and can't say I'm happy with any one, performance wise.
Well here's a preliminary "test version" of the ROM. I'm not sure if it'll even boot, since I don't have a device to test on. However, the worst that can happen is it won't boot and then you have to flash back whatever other ROM you want. Please download, test... and get back to me somehow. PM would be best Oh... and if you don't know what do with the file, you probably shouldn't be testing this

Hi.
Can you please archive your ROM in RAR ?
Coz I can't download at my workplace, just to open.
THX.
Count me in 2 lol
I am downloading and i will let you know asap!!!
Quick update: this is safe to flash - it boots fine. Had it on for 2 minutes, I can't say much more at the moment.
i will test it also thanks
I've been testing this rom for the last half hour and have to say, quite impressive for a test rom.
A few problems though. There seems to be a lot less storage memory available and a lot less ram than any other rom.
I'm also really missing a task manager, and there's a few touch pro apps we dont need. There also only seems to be one keyboard to choose from.
On the plus side, activesync, wifi, notifications, camera and all the apps work flawlessly.I've added titanium weather without a hitch.
So thanks for all your hard work and hope you continue to work on this rom.
First let me do a disclamer: if i don't mention it - it either works or i didn't test it yet. I'd like to concentrate on things that don't work. I was too impatient to do customary hard reset after initial flash so ....
Impressions: it's true, if you never tryed NRGZ28's ROM you don't know what "fast" means. This ROM is blazing!!!
- during initial setup and just after screen alingment, iwas expecting to set time zone and time - never showed up
- World card mobile does not work; it would not even start
- Some shortcuts placments was "questionable": Advanced Network Settings appear under System control applet; others were likely just me not being familliar with NRGZ28's ROMS
- Personal preferance: I prefer MSVC over CVSD
- Only default WM keyboard works; would like to see TD2 or D2 SIP here
More after hard reset...

That is a Rhodium rom ... i.e. for a device that has 4 times the memory of our P3600i (and more than double the screen resolution too)
There are still a few people who cook P3600i roms with the earlier version of Manila (that home screen you love) but it always ends up using over 90% memory when idle and the whole phone runs very sluggish or just crashes constantly.
Sorry

I am still working on my new kitchen for p3600i so there will be more new rom as soon as I am finished. In my experience the most stable roms I have ever had have been some of the wm6.5 builds using chome/titanium instead of M2D (Manilla). It just simply uses less memory and that is what we are the most lacking.
However Nosedive has just released his long awaited "n083" rom for p3600i/trinity. His roms have always been very fast and stable and this one seems to be built from a p3600i NK so you probably won't have the random corruption of the previous trinity roms (that had just been mod_i patched to run on p3600i).

This is my port of Cyanogen's latest Eclair build, v5.07-stable.
It is basically mssmison's 5.07-test3 build updated, I used the same process he did to port this one.
Included Apps:
-Connectbot
-Astro
-RogueTools
-LinPack
-HomeSwitcher
Notes:
-No major problems found so far (besides Eclair-specific problems like the Camera not working).
-Speed is comparable to other Eclair builds, maybe even a bit zippier at times.
-It should be fully compatible with any themes/mods made for Cyanogenmod v5.07-stable. (Although my attempt at flashing this theme sent my phone into an "android.power wakeup" loop, so be cautious!)
--Darkstar theme isn't working either, thx for trying @thebulletfromhell!
-It is set to 120DPI by default, so if running anything other than 320x240, you'll have to use RogueTools to adjust it. I am currently running it at 320x240x120dpi and haven't experienced many problems, except the top and bottom of the Dialer are cutoff, button's still reachable though. (If someone wants to help me fix this, please do, I just don't know where to start)
-Wifi support for the Kaiser is built in, should work out of the box!
-Starting with v1.2, Userinit.conf is added to the root of your SD, by default it has 16MB of Compcache, but this can be adjusted by editing the file.
Download! [Last updated on 5/29/10]
Changelog:
v1.3
-Removed userinit.conf, now everything is run directly from /system/bin/userinit.sh
-32MB Compcache by default
-Removed overclocking from the get-go. You can set it manually via RogueTools.
-Userinit.sh now renice's com.android.phone to try and improve ringing delay.
v1.2.1
-Removed redundant wlan.ko
-Replaced wlan.ko with kallt_kaffe's
-Reverted a change to userinit.sh that was causing awful performance
v1.2
-Removed Dropbox, Speedtest, Twicca, Shazam, 3Banana Notes, and LiveWallpapers
-Added Camera back (Fixes FC when trying to crop a wallpaper)
-Fixed Facebook Sync
-Userinit.conf is added to the root of SD card on first boot. This allows you to control Compcache, swap, and many other settings.

The updated version has wifi working for Kaiser, and some compcache tweaks done to /system/bin/userinit.conf. The first version I think I disabled compcache entirely, and it really showed once you got the build fully loaded.
any screens? how to install themes on Kaiser? Little guide please...

Times: 2.53s
Norm Res: 3.36
Precision: 2.224...
Maybe you add-in many of not neccessary app..
and one very good thing.. i have i think 320x428 and 120DPi in RogueTools. and its less blurry than thats sets in myn
Congrats for good rom.
exist CM with sense 2.1 on kaiser?
Compared to super eclair it has a few advantages:
-language dutch is included and fully working
-more options: look at call settings.
-market is fully working (for now), but no paid apps (super eclair market broke after using a time, not all apps can be found).
But less free ram.
Not really worth upgrading for me (I have 2 kaisers).
i've installed this build on my kaiser and it works great.
tested the wifi, the market, both work great. bluetooth turns on but i haven't had the chance to send or receive any files or to connect it to my wireless headsets.
did not test the data yet.
installed helix launcher and i think it moves a little bit faster than the regular home screen.
thank for the upload

Yeah I just noticed the Live Wallpapers crash, didn't try this out before. Not sure if it's possible to fix it, I don't remember them working on any other Eclair builds.
Also, I noticed that /system is running low on space, so I will definitely try to trim some fat by removing pre-installed apps.

Not that I know of. But there is a QVGA Android phone with Sense coming out sometime this summer, and I'm sure someone will attempt to port it.
From the vogue thread...
Great build, I'm running it right now, and it thus far seems to be fast and stable! (bumped up the o/c to 500)
Two pieces of feedback...
If you can get facebook sync to work with the most current facebook app (the one with the "inbox" button rather than the "take photo" button it would be amazing. As of now, the only way to get facebook sync to work is to run the Moto Droid apk, which is the previous version.)
Anyway to get full market from the getgo? I have marketenabler working, but it isn't always consistent.
That being said, amazing build. Good work.

I'll look into including whatever alternate APK in the next build.
Also I found that taking out the Camera app causes Gallery to FC when trying to crop a wallpaper, so I'll fix that as well.
I just got a text message from the 24th of this months with super ecalir lite, I don't know if this version hzs those issues too?

The darkstar theme hasn't been released for 5.0.7 stable. The most current release is for test5. This may be why it's not working for you
I tried mssmison's test 3 out, and it was problematic. A lot of stuff would end up resetting the phone, back to the start up animation. Haven't tried this one yet, but my experience with Eclairs have been bad so far.
Wish there was a way to run Android on both NAND and SD cards. That way, I can test them out on the SD card, without destroying my NAND installation.
Running this port since yesterday and I must say I'm really impressed. Fast, responsive and also it seems not to drain battery as fast as other builds.
Any chance of getting Corporate Calendar in the next version (currently Exchange sync works only for Mail and Contacts in this build).
Version 1.2 posted! Changelog in the OP.
I tried adding the modded Market, but it kept FC'ing whenever an app would go to install. Looking at the thread, it seems like a known issue, without a fix that I could find

- Replace wlan.ko /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko with the attached version (I believe it works better for Polaris users)
I was about to suggest increasing the wlan scan interval but I noticed that you hade allready done that.
I've had problems with builds that have sensors.msm7k.so all by itself so I added the sapphire sensors before I installed v1.1 as a precaution but I'll try without doing that once I reinstall with v1.2 and I'll let you know how it goes.
