23089/21876/21609? Care to explain? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Hello everyone,
Simple question(s), the new ROMs, 23089/21876/21609, does anyone have a change log? I mean 23089 at least follows the naming convention of 23XXX which has been going on for a bit now.
But 21876 & 21609? Where did these come from? And don't say they just feel magically from the Sky from China or Russia. Someone's got to know a bit more.
Anyone?

COM1- Builds 217**, the development build will be stop.
COM2 - Builds 218**: GUI is 1st stage of finger friendly features implemented. This is the only official WM6.5 released to public. All other COM* Builds are leaked test builds (not even classified as alpha or beta). In this range, the GUI introduces softer corners to various dialogs, the new start menu (Very early builds had a honeycomb theme but although the hexagons have been removed, the icon alignments remain), and the taskbar and menubar have been slightly modified to allow for further skinning.
COM3 - Builds 230**: GUI from 23001 to 23021 looks the same as COM2. 23022+ introduced the new shorter/expanding taskbar and finger friendly text-based buttons on taller bottom menubar and ever since its been called wm6.5.1 rather than 6.5..
23047+ introduced icon-based buttons.. New checkboxes and scroll bars and recently (from 23069 i think) a magnifier in the taskbar are amongst the newer gui elements introduced in the latest builds..
At some point (im not sure when, kinetic scrolling was introduced..
It appears that COM4 elements are being introduced into this branch such as the new contact application, a slightly modified sms application, and possibly a slightly modified calender application..
COM4 - Builds 234**: Seems to have stopped at 23420. The newer contact application and possibly the modified sms and calender applications were first introduced in this branch but have since been incoorperated into latest builds of COM3
COM5 - Builds 235**: At the moment little is known of this branch. 23502 is the first build leaked that Im aware of. It seems to have been compiled at about the same time as 23060 but with superior stability, speed, memory management, Newer COM3 builds 23071 and above have been reported to be superior in terms of stability and speed. However the latest COM5 23506 compared to COM3 23088 (build date is identical) seem equally fast and stable. COM5 builds have the new Contact app and Magnifier, as in latest COM3 Builds, but lack kinetic scrolling.
Apparently, the new internet explorer has been modified as well (but Bikertibi Builds have the old internet explorer from wm6.1 because new one does not handle well on our device)
Other branches you might or might not come to see:
AKU1 - Builds 212**
SAM1 - Builds 215**
MD1 - Builds 219**
WMD - Builds 28***: The First Build leaked is 28002 (build date 17th November 2009). As of this branch Windows Mobile is at WM6.5.3. This branch is to continue from COM3 23090 and is believed to carry improvements to the New Internet Explorer Mobile as well as overall speed
Builds 216**: leaked builds that have been played with by the team over at HTC but not officially used on any handset as yet
Builds 236**: Recently came across these builds but have no further info on them.
Cheer.

Great post TAI...Very educative...A thousand thanks...You have cleared my wondering about these build numbers.
How come when i google for explanation of build numbers i can't find any stuff that's worth reading?Maybe you could
give us some advices about how to google it or give some links with infos about builds...
Thanks again!

Thanks Tai, answered all my questions.
I appreciate it.
Cheers,

nice information.... thanks Tai!!!!!!!

Sleuth's New Developer ROM (CE 5.2.1238 Build 17913.0.3.0) is now available!

This new ROM is a custom graft containing the Hermes RTM CE/HAL along with some "best of breed" RTM IMGFS components. It is not an RTM variant however, so it does not suffer from reported RTM ideosyncracies. Instead, I started with my very stable aku .3 lvsw variant, changed out the XIP, refreshed the apps, Improved the BT handsfree profile and added 4GB SDHC support. This ROM therefore contains XIP/imgfs components from Hermes, Trinity, Universal and Wizard WM6 builds. As such, it is quite unique to XDA-Developers. M$ has not released these components all in one place for Hermes.
v1.0 of this ROM includes:
SDHC support: tested with 4GB cards
GLYPHCACHE limt re-optimized at 32,768
Mobile Office 2K7
My ATI Imageon patch cooked in
The New Block style CommManager GUI is enabled
HTC X-Button v1.51 cooked into the base ROM. All major bugs fixed!
Windows Live cooked into the base ROM
4MB Paging File
Big Storage
A2DP optimized for highest Fidelity based on hardcore's research.
additional apps: GSFinder+, DotFred's Taskmgr, PHM Regedit, SIPChange, Austinboy's Fieldtest, Adobe Reader LE, Audio Manager, Streaming Player
Windows Update and QOS removed
VoIP optimizatons: dialplan normalized for US calling (default areacode is 262 on 7 digit calls), connect over 3G as well as WiFi enabled
Live Search today plugin is set to use Google and works just fine when spaces are part of the search term
can toggle the phone skin between Video and Non-video modes using lsvw's TweakUI program
The RTM bluetooth Handsfree Profile has been cooked into this ROM. This provides the improved Car Kit support reported in RTM releases.
Like any software created by an XDA-Developer, this ROM is free for you to personalize. I'm not in this for the donations (although they're always appreciated ), rather my primary focus is to give you a better Hermes. So, use this base ROM to learn the ROM kitchens then go make your own ExtROM for this to customize Today Screen etc. Simply add a file called preconfig.txt to /windows to enable autoconfig (you'll need to dump a production ROM to unravel the syntax btw ) to run your extrom at cold-reset startup. Because Preconfig.txt has been removed, the base rom has no autoconfig and will go directly to the today screen.
Free storage memory is about 49MB and free program memory is 29MB. Displayed Today screen items have been reduced and re-ordered in this manner (note: the additional plugins are still present, just unchecked in Today settings):
Date
Live Search
Internet Calling
Owner Info
Email messages
Appointments
The installer will also upgrade your splash screens to the Gold HTC Innovation theme. Your Radio, IPL and SPL will remain unchanged. However, for best results I recommend running a radio thats at least 1.40. Posters have reported lower battery consumption when listening to 3G streams when running the v1.43 radio. I have not personally verified this yet however.
I'm using OliPro's latest RUU installer in this version and recommend installing using the SSPL option. Vista users: be sure to check out this guide for how to make SSPL installers work on your version of Windows. Or, jcespi2005 reports that with the latest WMDC (v6.1), you can upgrade through CustomRUU normally like in XP. WMDC 6.1 itself can be found here.
note: I run windows XP so YMMV on Mobile Device Center.
Download v1.0 now from RapidShare.
Download Crackberry edition now from RapidShare.
Support/Provisioning Cabs: PM a link and I'll add it here
WPBear's Cingular/AT&T provisioning cab (thanks to Tylr for locating this) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1163312

"Bling" in this ROM
Sorry, but there are no fancy today themes, catchy colors or spectacular splashes included in this base ROM. All you get is performance and reliability. Bling is a personal expression, so you're free to add your own.
So, what's on your today screen? Post screenshots! Upload themes & post links and I'll put them below.
CUSTEL's black theme (thanks CUSTEL) http://www.tri-syndicate.com/CUSTEL.tsk.zip (just change the name to CUSTEL.tsk after downloading, its not a zip file). I'm actually running this one now because the block style taskmanager looks better with black menu/taskbars.
v1.0 Release Notes (check back here periodically for updates)
X-Button requires the latest versions of SPB Weather/SPb Time to correct the "Black Font" issue. The latest version of SPB Weather is v1.7.0 Build 767 and the latest version of SPB Time is v2.1.5.
The softkey editor settings are initially out of sync with the actual softkeys. Additionally, you must SR after the first time you use it to get your changes to stick. After that, the program works normally.
downloading now....thanks sleuth! cant wait to try it.
Fantastic! I just got my 4GB SD too. But now I too wait for my SDHC reader to come. I wish my ImageMate was compatible, guess its too old.
Did you replace the rilgsm.dll in your rom with an older one to prevent problems with HSDPA download speeds?
@austinsync: Of course.
This is a custom build containing the best components from many devices. The best way to think of this build is to consider it identical to my last ROM but with the following improvements:
SDHC Support (required RTM XIP)
RTM Sap Profile
RTM X-Button, Streaming Media, Audio Manager
RTM CommManager with the new "block style" GUI enabled
In short its everything the AKU .3 ROM was with RTM improvements.

Precisely. This is not an RTM build. Only the XIP and some components are from the RTM release. The base imgfs is from a whole different device
Hi, loading down right now - I´m looking forward to your new rom - sleuth.
Thanks to you and your work and to all you gurus here and your cool board.
Sleuth,
In your modified ROM do "taskmgrres.dll.0409.mui" and "taskmgrCustRes.dll" belong to TaskManager X button or to DotFred's Taskmgr?
X-button.....
This all sounds great Sleuth255!
but sorry that I have to bother you with this question..
"can you also make this rom in a Dutch version?" I got the Dutch files from M$ SDK"..
He keep doing what you do!
Thanks Slueth,
I think i may give this one a whirl - will report back any issues.

Thanks Sleuth - just installed and getting my goodlink up and running again. Looks pretty zippy so far. Had to clean up the 3G icon, but everything I generally run has installed fine.
Quick question. You think running Tweak UI and Shadowmites HTC Custom at the same time is going to cause me grief? I like some of the features in each .. so have both installed, but started to wonder if they would conflict (don't see why they should).
shouldn't be any issues running both tweakers weinson.
Hi, I believe this rom is the latest for Herm200. However I notice the transcriber input is missing.
Anyway to retrieve it?
Thanks guys.
Could you possibly post some screen shots? Thanks.
Initial impressions..
First off, Thanks Sleuth!
Everything has gone smoothly with the rom so far. Download uneventful (thanks for the rapidshare link), flash uneventful, activesync synchronization seems faster than with previous roms. Program installations also fast. Cab file installations ditto. Not sure if its due to recent reformatting of my microSD, but I think the rom is also a factor. Usually I have to tweak the file cache settings to get comparable sd access (they have not been tweaked though). HSPDA works out of the box after I put in my carrier settings. Bluetooth paring had a little bump in that the "x" stayed on in comm manager after pressing the icon initially, but I went ahead to bluetooth settings and was able to pair to my 260 plantronics stereo headset. Sound seems very nice. Will have to use it for awhile to judge skips, etc, but none so far using music player.
Nice rom!
Regards,
Thanks Sleuth,
So far the best, stabile and fast, no issues!

Hermes 6.1 19212 Business Edition (Direct port from Kaiser)

With the help of Bepe's old Hermes kitchen and tools from Tadzio and others, I've put together this rather forgettable, yet stable ROM. It's simply a direct port of the TyTN II 19212 6.1 Build which was last build for that model. It does not have Touchflo, but it has all other components and updated icons that don't look like WM2003. It is basically a "flash-and-forget" ROM for those who want a nearly official 6.1 build, yet don't care for all of the "look-at-me" bling and bleeding edge on some of the other devices. It is set up for an AT&T Keyboard, and does not have the 3g dialer. I have a version with the 3G dialer that is also set up for the HTC keyboard, but it's not ready for prime time, and no, I don't have a timeline for its release. I will not include any programs that are not OEM in the RC build or the final build so don't ask. You may dump the ROM and use any part of it at your discretion. Just give props where they're due.
Note: I put this together just like the factory ROM so all of the programs are in the OEMAPPS folder when you dump it. I'm working on making all of the packages come out in the SYS and OEM directories, but I haven't played with the new visual kitchen by Ervius just yet.
Programs:
-HTC Home with working backlight adjuster (NOT a fix; this uses an HTCUtil.dll from another device that works)
-Voice Command (from AT&T Tilt official ROM; I like it, therefore its there)
-Sprite Backup HTC Licensed Edition (also from Tilt official ROM)
-Adobe Acrobat
-Audio Manager
-Esmertec Java
-Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.19
-Internet Sharing
-Voice Recorder
-IA Zip
-Enlarge Start Menu (from Jade)
-Large Title Bar (also from Jade)
-HTC Connection Setup
Enhancements:
-New, official WM6 or 6.1 icons for Control Panel items
-Lockstream DRM functional
-Windows Live and OneNote removed
-Connection Setup runs automatically after first reboot
-Mail setup runs automatically after first reboot
Possible issue:
-Someone please check SMS capability and functionality (I currently have it disabled on my account)
There may be other issues with this ROM, so please report them here only. I will fastidiously prune the thread of non-constructive comments and requests such as "Please include (name third-party program) or "How do I flash a ROM?" and "Please make me a splash screen."

Update 8/20/09
Log:
- Build number on splash screen updated to 3.29
- ROM date changed to reflect build date on original Kaiser ROM
- A little better memory usage but not much
- Icon's updated just a little
Really there's no reason to update unless you like your numbers to match. I'm anal like that, so I updated. It's still snappy, stable and looks OEM. Perfect for those of us not on the bleeding edge who also use our devices heavily.

Update: 10/20/09
Log:
- New Large Title Bar Function (uses pop out at top of screen)
- Vibrate button function restored
- In-call volume now adjustable by scrolling wheel
- HTC Splash Screen added
- Now packaged with 1.54 GSM radio
This is an interim upgrade. I will be releasing a package with the HTC keypad tomorrow. I'm not working on a 3G dialer version right now, as the components are a little different and I can't test it because AT&T doesn't allow for it.

FINAL UPDATE
Why? My new Fuze comes tomorrow because my keyboard is on the blink. Alright here is the change log.
- Animation works
- Bluetooth file transfer works
- Task Manger 1.51 replaces more recent version due to not closing programs correctly
- Somewhat improved memory usage

I'm going to be hanging out a little bit from now on. Drop me a line if you have any questions or want the kitchen.

Here are screenshots of the today screen, ROM components and device info.
I completely love 19212 or 214 builds! You can flash them, and dont have to reset the phone for days literally! Thanks for the release.

Best ROM till now!
Wonderful ROM mate!! I have tried almost each & every Hermes ROM available on the internet till now. But, I'm now settled on your make. It's very stable.
Though, I don't give a damn to the RAM usage.
Keep your good work going. I think you should try building a ANDROID based ROM for Hermes. It'll rock.
this is EXACTLY what i have been looking for
thank you so much!
rom wm6
does it fix the video calling on hermes?
So far, so good. MMS working finally!
Check first post for "update". It feels a little wierd saying that for a 19212 build.
Hello
Hello, I installed this ROM to my hermes, it all works great but my bars with Calendar, Contacts and Start didn't change color... Thoes are still green and the rest of rom is gray and good looking.
Did I do something wrong, or should I just flash again?
Reflash.......

Keyboard bug
Hi,
First of all, thanks for this perfect rom, I was looking for this simple Kaiser Stock ROM since months and months.. Thanks again.
However I've noticed that the keyboard mapping of this rom is for Kaiser. You've the issue with the caracters @, !, ;, etc...
is it possible to fix it with a reg update, or with a new rom?
also, is it possible to add 3G video call?
thanks again for your answer and specially for this rom
Is a radio included with this ROM? The file looks to be much smaller than what I have flashed for the stock AT&T or TyTN (Official HTC release).
Thanks in advance!

ATContacts 0.98 - crashing on new WM6.5 builds

Does anybody have a new version of this today plugin? It is one of my favourites and it is now crashing on some of the new 6.5 builds (tried three builds - all three experience the crash). If there is an alternative please let me know. I love being able to direct dial off the today screen. Thanks!

ATContacts 0.98 works great on my rom (included)
what you call "WM6.5 newer builds" are indeed "WM6.7", derivant from beta WM6.5.1 and 6.5.3
AT contacts was developed for 6.5.0 = WM6.5, thus, some tweaks and changes are required
ut ths is not the better place to ask about it, my best bet would be to ASK THE AUTHOR at the home thread of ATContacts

[ROM][Branches/Builds] What build number and why?

So what's the current consensus on branches? should we have a thread dedicated to what branches are what and what dev work is being done in each?
I notice there is no real place (unless i am missing it in which case i apologise) for current branches, what is being changed and what they contain.
from the first page of current builds thread:
212xx = AKU1, all builds leading up to and including WM 6.5
213xx = MOT motorola
214xx = ???
215xx = SAM samsung
216xx = HTC htc
217xx = COM1, continuing dev of 6.5.0.1 - 6.5.0.40
218xx = COM2, continuing dev of 6.5.0.50
219xx = MD, feature test branch, pretty much dead now. (unstable features are added here, this tree is based on COM1, so older base OS code, but the UI/UX code is newer)
22xxx = SEMC sony ericsson
*230xx = COM3, continuing development
*234xx = COM4, appears to be abandoned.
*235xx = COM5, more GUI changes here. New Outlook Interface.
*236xx = LG Electronics Branch
*24xxx = Possible HTC branch
*25xxx = SEMC - Sony Ericsson
*280xx, 282xx = WMD. This is a continuation of com3 from 23090. Most of the changes appear to be with IE
231xx has threaded email
235xx has threaded email
236xx has threaded email.
Maybe this doesn't quite need it's own thread but i am thinking we need some more real world reports of what these branches are doing and how they perform.
Can you guys help with making it a little clearer to chefs what thier choices are in terms of:
A: Build date (how new it is)
B: Device branch (what is it meant for, i.e. htc, samsung etc)
C: What GUI features does it have (i.e. threaded email, office 2010, close or "x" button)
D: Performance (how fast is it, memeory usage and load times etc)
E: Battery life (obvious)
I think this is the most relevant points we are after. If you post here what builds you are using and why you prefer those and any you have experimented with and what you found in them, i will update a clear table in a second post so chefs can easily get info on what code base is best to work with.
Builds Table
Build:
235xx (Com5)
Device - Generic
Gui - WM 6.5.5 - close button at bottom, threaded messages
Technical - main active branch?
Performance - Good!
Battery life - Reasonable
Any ideas on how best to calculate this are very welcome.
I will work on this more and try to apply some formatting, perhaps in a speadsheet and then drop an image once i get some info together abotu builds and a consensus on metrics.
I will formulate a poll to get an idea of what build you think is best in general.
I also want to know your personal favourite and why.
Here's some opinion on 21649 and 24011:

[ROM][WWE][SenseUI] XevRev 1.0b2 - [WM6.5 28014/21889] - Release: Dec 17, 2010

Welcome to XevRev Vogue Series!
If you have never flashed a custom ROM onto your phone before, you must unlock your phone! Instructions can be found here!
This is for CDMA based Touch (Vogue) phones! GSM phones (this means your Touch has a SIM card) are not compatible and flashing this ROM onto a GSM could render your phone permanently disabled!
This is the first release of XevRev, based on WM6.5 28014 and 21889 with XPR compression. You will notice the similarities to NuVogue because NuAngel and I are real-life friends who share our knowledge on cooking.
The basic methodology of my ROM's is to create a suitable "OEM" replacement ROM. That means there will be a focus on stability, usability and ease of use; along with an "out-of-box" experience that should require no major adjustment once flashed. This also means that the ROM will feature a very trim set of "stock" applications. I want to enjoy using my phone, and any tweak or change I make needs to make my experience more enjoyable and simple.
One of the main points of XevRev's core builds will be the focus on SenseUI. 1.0 will utilize the same SenseUI 2.0.2016.3224 packages found in NuVogue 8. There will be no focus on Titanium due to the ridiculous amount of tweaking and (imo) "garbage" applications required to make it work flawlessly with little hassle.
XevRev will only be released with carrier specific builds. I have developed XevRev with Verizon in mind, but I would hope that the other builds are just as stable and capable. The main reason for a focus on carrier specific builds is that it seems to get programming/roaming update working (at least on Verizon). This means you can program your phone without flashing back to a stock carrier ROM like some people have had to, or manually updating PRL files. It also means you won't have to update your PRL after using some REALLY old carrier cabs (which just REALLY ticked me off).
I will now explain how XevRev development will move forward for the short term. XevRev will not be developed like many roms, and will not receive a "major" release every build (example with NuVogue 1,2,3, etc). Instead, it will receive minor updates addressing issues with the current software, then major releases that add new features.
1.0 series
This series will focus on getting the basics right. There will be ZERO focus on GPS features in 1.0 because of my inability to test them because of letting Verizon's customizations run. *edit* 1/21/11 - I have obtained my new XV6900.
What is on the XevRev 1.0 to-do list:
Adding MightyMike and Juggalo_x's tethering fix to beta 2! TOP PRIORITY!
Setting the following registry values to be default out-of-box:
Getting nueSIPDefault or another SIP Default software to make Swype primary keyboard.
Disabling WM built in word suggestion.
Disabling Swype's built-in auto suggestion.
Removing Music tab from SenseUI
Removing Programs tab from SenseUI
Removing Wi-Fi options from com manager.
Finding a fresher default sound system to drop in.
Finding the "Verizon Train" sound effect for messaging. This is only for myself and not for the main build, just so I can bug my buddy to hell and back with it! lol Found it on my new Touch Pro2. Muhuhahaha!
Making Opera the browser that will load from SenseUI Home screen.
Making about:blank he default page that will load from SenseUI Internet screen.
Replacing Earth with Opera logo in SenseUI Internet Screen.
Possibly replacing HTC Mega theme with a different theme.
Possibly cooking in SBP Time (demo).
Possibly replacing ArcSoft Messaging client with another SMS client.
Possibly removing nuePerformance.
Possibly add an auto home screen lock that doesn't completely @#$% me off.
Possibly add in EZ Input. ADDED IN 1.0 BETA 2!
Possibly remove Total Commander since it is a power user feature.
Fixing the weather update on the home screen. COMING IN 1.0 FINAL.
Remove any modules that are not doing anything at all!
What is on the XevRev 2.0 to-do list:
Porting CDMA Phone Canvas to QVGA.
Making Youtube app function.
More to come...
XevRev 1.0 features!
System
XPR compressed ROM. This is the best compression to use on Vogue, and provides faster loading and better loading performance then no compression at all, and faster overall speed vs LZX.
SenseUI 2.0.2016.3224 based mostly on Mega Ext TMO_UK_1.33.110.2 package, along with crazy4tricks's Manila SenseUI 2.0.2016.3224 package.
HTC Default M2D theme.
HTC Vogue Dialer with working program codes on Verizon Wireless (*228 PRL update and phone programing should work 100%).
xTask 2.3b4, with task icons pre-disabled. I picked this task manager for ease of use.
nuePerformance - for boot benchmarking.
nueSIPDefault - for setting SIP input to a different keyboard during boot.
ArcSoft Messaging 5.2.2.64
Imaging
HTC Vogue Camera app from PPCk (if anyone has anything newer that works, please let me know!).
HTC Album 3.0.1918.2223.
Input
Swype Keyboard 3.9.22.22(apparently) with Baly23's Touch like skin cooked in. Original WVGA Swype theme has been removed to save space! Keyboard loads much faster then when installing manually, but may still be too laggy for some (looking for feedback). Please donate to Baly23 for this wonderful QVGA skin!
EZ Touch Input from HTC Mega! This package shouldn't be as buggy as the old one found in PPCK. I have discovered no bugs with it.

Noticeable things you will find missing from this ROM
Codes folder - I have removed this from my dev builds, because for whatever reason, it would prevent my phone from receiving PRL updates from Verzion's *228.
Gobs of games - Seriously, how often do you play these things? I drive around to places, I don't take a bus. If I did, I would take my Nintendo DS instead of playing on my Vogue.
Carepackages *poke's NuAngel* - Takes too much space up in the rom, plan and simple. You can delete it, but the space is never freed up.
Crappy default themes from PPCK - Seriously, how old is some of this stuff? I want my phone to feel fresh, not dated. Replacing the default theme is a high priority.
SenseUI themes found here - Many of these themes are based on the dated look of Sense 1.0, and they are just ugly. Instead look in this thread for Sense 2.0 themes. Unsure how many are optimized for QVGA.
Manila 2D Customizer (M2DC) 0.29.235. This is not compatible with this build of Manila 2D 2.0.

21889 Series
Changes between 1.0b1 and 1.0b2
Added Build #81+
-Added MightyMike and Juggalo_x's tethering fix. I'd rather be safe then sorry. Not sure how well this fix still works.
-Added aGPS Confirmation package from HTC Mega. I don't know why I forgot this. Please test GPS features and give feedback!
-Added EZ Touch package from HTC Mega, seems to be working great! Perhaps this will fix whatever bug people talked about with the PPCK package found in NuVogue. If you want this as the default SIP, remember to set it in nueSIP!

If any links are dead or do not work, please private message me and I will fix them! All link to new domain name now.
If you want another carrier other then the ones listed above, simply request it and I will build both flavors for that carrier. I may release a generic one in the future after beta testing is completed.
Have fun and good night everyone!
I look forward to everyone's input. Development of XevRev started 09/24/2010, it was almost to the point of release in early November, but I've been busy with my new job! I hope everyone enjoys the fruits of my efforts.
I am considering a Paypal donation link, but I'll leave that for another day, along with the first screenshots.
Are both 28014 and 21889 equally stable? I know that 28014 is 6.5.3 and 21889 is 6.5 but was just wondering if they are equally stable lol.
Bell #80 doesn't work...please.

my testing with 21889 has been that it's as stable as the 28014 build. i would like feedback on 21889 to see if others find it stable.
The manila packages I'm using are from the HTC Mega, and that ran on 21889 which is why I thought to try it. SenseUI feels much faster with this build, but it's not as thumb friendly with task managers and hitting the start button. My new Touch Pro2 uses 21887. so I'm wagering that the builds in that series are stable.
As for build 80, I will fix it when I get home later. Is the link wrong or is the file corrupted somehow?
*edit* Fixed those links. Should be good to go.
I am uploading Beta 2 builds tonight. In addition to the builds I have previously done, I will be adding South Cellular. My upload speed is currently crap, so I may have to upload the rest in the morning after I get access to a cable connect.
I have uploaded pics from the beta 2 Verizon builds. I couldn't snap pics of Swype and Touch Input for whatever reason.
Beta 2 will add what has been listed above previously, I think the biggest is a much newer EZ Touch package then what everyone was used to in NuVogue, in addition to the aGPS prompt (GPS should work fine after this on all GPS enabled phones). I also added the tethering fix just in case, I need to do some file checks to see if the default PPCK files are already hacked or not (or I might just as in the IRC chatroom when I have time).
I'll make sure the uploads and links are posted (correctly) before I head to work tomorrow afternoon (EST -5 GMT).
If the testing of beta 2 goes well, then I will make my next release the true 1.0 and start working on some real improvements (Like getting Youtube to work, and adding QuickGPS).
Testers, please give me input on the following:
Swype Experience
Touch Input Experience (Beta 2)
Can your phone be programed and receive PRL updates on your carrier (I have confirmed this working on Verizon only!)?
TouchFLO Experience
Dialer Experience (particularly on non Verizon, and on all 28014 builds!)
21889 Stability
GPS Experience (Beta 2 only please)
xTask Experience
Any repeatable crashing on any build!
I recommend everyone to reboot your phone after your first boot with XevRev. This will particularly increase performance in 28014 builds (for whatever reason). Thanks everyone for giving my new rom a shot!
Sorry havent been around for a while, been moving. Will install this and test as soon as i can find my cables (hehe).

Remember to reboot your phone once after initial flash to get the best performance, especially with 28014 builds!
Instead of making everything brown like the mega sense have you considered black like the newer 3d versions of sense (ie. Rodium ). I made the Black theme on the second post of your link (sense/manila 2.0 themes). I have tonnes of system files that I ahven't deleted yet to get rid of every trace of brown from the mega if your interested.
P.S. gonna flash this baby on the old Vogue after Christmas to test it out, cool to see someone new take up development. My old Vogue is now a "PDA / MP3 player" for my oldest Son since I moved to the Desire but this looks fun enough to test out.

RE: ROM for Vogue (Bell)
hi,
I've been reading your posts, and seeing all the releases.
What's the best version for my HTC Vogue, on Bell ?
I think you now have a Beta 2 ...can I use that on it?
thanks
KC
also, any kind of GPS/Turn by turn navigation like tom tom or something that could be incorporated into this build, or if you guys know of a good one for Vogue on bell ?
I'll be sure to donate soon...
thanks
KC
For Bell, Use either Bell Canada ROM (unless they are still around in the US, let me know if that's the case then I'll figure something out.)
As for turn by turn navigation, Google maps is installed. i am currently unable to test the GPS features, but next week I am going to go threw the process of flashing my Vogue so it will have working GPS for testing (lots of time off for the holidays).
As for the theme, I world love to have a nice black theme like on my new RhodiumW, if anyone has a link to one that will install in cab format, I'll oemize it and toss that in instead!
Installed it yesterday evening. Everything is running smoothly; no crashing. Only thing that I have a problem is that the Weather doesn't update under the clock

I'll zip up all my graphic files for my jmitr mega black theme and send it to you. With four kids and Christmas coming soon, be patient though!
I designed my theme based on the Rodium look, it's the closest I know of
Jason
awesome. look forward to it. I'd love to see some pics of it if you have time to post a few.
As for the weather issue, I'll look into it.
Well, its going to take me awhile longer to get GPS up and running. Even though I got the GPS unlocked easily, for some reason my ERI has disappeared on the phone, now I can't program it. WTF
The GPS works fine with Google Maps on my Bell Vogue.
Good to know. I plan on adding QuickGPS at some point, but without being able to test it, seems like a pointless idea atm.
I unlocked the GPS on mine finally, but I still haven't figured out the ERI issue. If anyone with a Sprint Vogue could do the following it'd be a great help:
Dial ##diag# and put the phone in diagnostic mode.
Open the file system in either QPST or Bitpim and navigate to /ERI and tell me the name of the file there + extract/rar it.
This information must be from a Sprint Vogue, no other carrier will help me. ~_~ The file names seem to be completely different between carriers.
Yes, my phone is completely ERIless.. (WTF). I might make another post for this issue so I can fix it. I have NO idea how I nuked the ERI, but its really gone and I can't program the phone anymore. lol Perhaps I can test GPS features using a laptop and standing outside.... in the snow..... wait, I don't like that idea. lol
Hopefully this week I'll have time to dig into XevRev_V a bit more. I'd like to make a few tweaks before I really dig into making a Touch Pro2 release for my new phone (and i really hate Verizon's stock roms!).
