I have a small question: Is there a manila 2.5 modification with one simple thing: An extra tab that creates an completely white screen+maximum backlight(that maximum backlight only switches to max. when that tab is used), so that we can use the TouchHD as a small flashlight in one second. Thanks in advance!

I am using the HTC Home plug in on the Today screen and I love the weather portion of it, but that's all I use. As such I've disabled all of the tabs except Weather. The only problem is this leaves about a 20 pixel high tab that takes up the whole width of the screen with the weather icon on it causing me to lose valuable screen real estate.
Does anyone know how I can remove the tabs, either by changing the vertical size of the whole plugin or just flat out removing the tab?
You can do that with "Schaps Advanced Config" tool. There are cabs all over if u don't have it installed.
Almost
Thank you for a link to this cool program, but sadly it doesn't let me do what I'm looking for. It does let me undock the Homeplug from the top of the screen and move it to the bottom, but it becomes dynamic and then the scroll bar covers part of it up.

Now working on Black Calendar....
much better thanks...
does the Diamond Style clock work/look okay on HD?
thanks a lot!
Great graphics
Looks great, but maybe the edges around the numbers should be more visible. Now they are a bit unclear.
Looks great, maybe it'll also save some battery too when using the calculator frequently (no bright background having screen eat all the battery)
Google's concept of saving energy www.blackle.com ..
LCD screens it doesn't matter the image color the illumination is always the same.
Unless you dim your brightness. Bu that makes dark images harder to see.
I've gorn and lost my mscalc.exe !!
Didn't notice it until I installed it, sure that had nowt to do with it tho'.
Anyone able to post up a copy for me?
Verry nice. Thanks.
IPC Calc and Black Dialer are the best out there. Thanx.
AVLev, your work is really beautiful! This is what everything should look like on the Diamond!
I am addicted to IPC Black Dialer, but after I updated my Diamond to the new HTC ROM 2.03 (with the slide-to-answer button), I can't use it...
Any chance of an update with a slider?
Thank you
Thank you
Excellent, thanks.
Perhaps a way to change something to 00 for hundreds.
Landscape Mode
What about a landscape mode for Calculator?
That's Great!!thanks for your share,I am searching this app. for a long time.
Yes indeed! Absolute great apps - IPC Calculator and Dialer!
But one question to the cab in the first post. I get no difference to the first version - it always looks as you see below - the left one. Also very fine - but the other one (right picture) is still better. So please, what is to do?
-------------
Ok - now I see, that I jumped into a blackstone thread with 480 x 800.
But anyway the look of the keys is better and the 1-2-3 at the bottom is what I am used to. So it would be great to get this too.
But thanks again so far for the apps at all!
By any chance does anybody know how to get rid of the IPC_Calculator? It replaced my original calc. I installed a new calculator and like it, but the original ipc is still there. and the version I got doesn't work in landscape. How do I get the original calc back?
I try and is great.
Thanks for your work
Landscape
Halo, not working in landscape mode IPC_Black_Calculator not even IPC_Black_Dialer. It's big damage.
Hi, does anyone know if the Black Calendar is out yet? The link in tho OP sig doesnt seem to work. Or have a link to a decent calendar / organizer for HTC? Havent found one I like yet
Hi all,
I got my TP2 a week ago. I bought it as a tiny laptop.
To be honest I rather had a TP2 and a magnifying glas with me than a netbook
I am absolutely willing to be only able to use the stylus. I need much information on the screen, not finger friendly buttons.
I needed to disable all that "finger friendly" **** that has been built into the device.
So far I did:
- Settings |Personal | Today Disable TouchFol3D
- Settings | System | Screen | Text-Size smallest
- install .Net-Framework (newest Generation)
- install HD-Tweak
- run HD-Tweak:
- all values to “advised”, except:
- 1.4 Disabled (= Speakerphone when phone FaceDown)
- 1.8 Std.
- 1.9 Vibrate
- 2.1 Enabled
- 2.2 Enabled
- 2.3 classic
- 3.4 Improve
- 11.1.-3. enabled, 11.6-11.7 3 MPx
- 13.1 Max Connections 16
- 13.2 HTC HD Orange
- 20.1 Keyb. Automatic Display – Disabled
But I still have:
- oversized start menu
- oversized menus
- non-working IExplore (a website displayed on my 240x320 Nokia N73 is much better displayed than on the TP2-IE)
- full screen volume control (instead of the small slider of WM5)
- full sized 'notifications' instead of WM5-bahavior (when you press the battery icon for instance)
How would I disable all that?
Thank you, Franky
P.S. menu fonts (and some other fonts) in RDP sessions are totally distorted. I solved that by installing and using the freeware zaDesktop (http://www.zatelnet.com/zadesktop/main.php).
Dude, why??
Exactly the same for me
I have exactly the same usage and the same f#@g displayed problems.
And more, there is something really anoying : I would have prefer select by one click and launch with another. Like on Nokia phones. When I scroll on history call, I really often call back... I tought i would have been changer but no. Is there a way to do that ?
Thanks
Customization Tools
I agree with Franky24. The TF3D is kinda annoying and I prefer to use the stylus instead of my finger. I am a fan of the HTC Home app because it seems to be more functional and easier to use. I forget where I found the one for the Rhodium but you can find it by searching for BigHTCHome.cab
These may also help you customize it the way you want:
To have smaller menus:
QuickMenu - A start menu replacement that looks similar to a Windows XP start menu. Find it here: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-quickmenu-v2-7.html
To change the notification bar to the old windows mobile style:
Open a registry editor and navigate to:
HKLM\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER\Flags
Change the value from 0 to 4
You will have to be more specific about the problem you are having with IExplore if you want anyone to be able help you with it.
I am still trying to get the old style volume control to work on my TP2 and will let you know the fix when I figure it out.
Hope this helps

Hi,
Interesting customization you have done.
Can you share with us a comparative in performance after uninstalling all "friendly" stuff please?
Thanks in advance,
Volume fix
Ok, so I found a thread here that changes the volume control to the original windows mobile controls. I tried it last night and it works. There is a cab attached to post # 7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431588
I'd love to see some screens!
This clock is based on Led Clock by David Horn posted on here some time ago. The principle of the clock is minimalism. The left column represents the hous, the next five columns represent minutes and the final column represents groups of five seconds (if you choose the 'show seconds' option). The hours increment upwards, the minutes increment leftwards then upwards and the seconds increment upwards. I have taken David’s original clock idea and bolted on lots of user options purely as an exercise to get up to speed programming for the compact framework.
Features
=======
Set individual colours for many elements such as hour leds, minute leds, second leds, frame, font and background.
Draw rectangular or round leds
Show / Hide seconds
Show digits on hours, minutes, seconds
Change led size – small, medium, large.
Imaging:
Load image as foreground, the image gets drawn piece by piece like a jigsaw as another led gets added to the clock. Watch your image build up on screen as the hour goes by. Alternatively you can set the image as a background image and the clock gets drawn on top.
Image Folders:
You can also specify a folder of images and set the rotation frequency to minute, hour or day. The current image behaves as above and gets rotated so you can have a new image loaded every day, or hour etc.
I am using GDI to draw the clock but it is heavily optimized. The thread only runs every 5 secs or every 60 secs if you choose not to show seconds. The drawing itself only draws what is absolutely necessary at any time. So if we are not refreshing / painting the form, usually we are only drawing a single led therefore this should be light on resources. As evidence of this, consider the fact that I am not using double buffering anywhere and yet the redrawing is always flicker free and stable.
I wrote this clock as a Touch HD owner but tested it on several of the mobile images. It should run on any Windows Mobile device and on most screen resolutions from version 5 upwards. It currently uses .Net 3.5 but I can port it back to 2.0 if required as all the code is legacy written and I am using no libraries from the newer framework. I’d appreciate any reasonable feedback.

MOD EDIT

oops, sorry about that.
Anyone able to make a backlight setting plugin for Titanium. It would be like the Cvolume plugin as you shift the panel to the left and the right you get different backlight brightness settings.
I realize that the limitations of the Titanium home screen will not allow sliders, but maybe a 5 stop rotation of presets...ie full bright -- 4 -- 3 -- 2 -- Low brightness.
Is this possible? I adjust the brightness on my phone a lot, and going through the top, then into the power settings is too difficult in the bright sun, when the screen is set fairly dark. I have searched but have not found anything.
Thanks
Kevin
Request seconded.
The best that I have found is to create an icon for the backlight settings tab and place the icon into the Windows/Start Menu/Programs folder. Then move the icon into one of the corners.
