So I installed the IE / PIE toggle app. (IEToggle). Having problems w/ PIE though.
When I enable PIE, tapping and holding does not bring up the context menu like it's supposed to. Instead, tapping and holding does nothing. Also, if I slide the keyboard open while PIE is open, PIE either crashes or closes (like when you tap its "X" in the quick menu).
Anyone have any remedies?

Hello everyone,
While I was testing my phone and pressing everywhere, I might found a feature I didn't read anywhere.
I know there is the ZenMotion, and it works great. By writing a "C" on the screen, you launch the camera app. But I don't talk of that (and I disabled this shortcut)
After locking the screen, press the volume button twice (down-down, up-up or even up-down and down-up). It launches also the camera app.
This isn't a ZenMotion feature (I disabled everything and the shortcut still works).
Is someone having this shortcut too? Did someone know how to disable the shorctcut?

The setting for the double click volume key to launch camera from sleep is in Settings -> Lock Screen
At least on the US version running the WW firmware. See attached image.
Ohhh. Got it. The setting is here.
Thanks!
Pixel XL purchased directly from Google.
Just installed the latest system update [ 12/11/16 ] and noticed 2 things:
1) When in 'do not distrub' mode, the camera still has a shutter sound. Can't figure out how to turn it off since it didn't have a sound before
2) Can't seem to find multi-window.
3) Device doesn't seem to recognize 5g wireless routers anymore...
Wondering if I derped or if anyone else was experiencing the same thing.
Thanks in advance.
1) I tried alarms only and no shutter sound.
2) First ensure both apps are in your recents list. Then Pick the first app you want via shortcut or recents. Then long press recents and choose the app you want for the bottom half. The recents square should also change to two rectangles. To remove multi window long press recents again.
3) I'm typing this message from my 5ghz router at home on the latest update.

Thanks for the feedback. I think it might be tied to using a Japanese sim recently for the shutter sound.
Thanks for the multi window tip. Was used to the setting in the settings area.
Will troubleshoot a bit more with 5ghz. Thanks for the feedback.
I have Samsung Galaxy S5 Model 900T (klte)
Lineage OS 14.1 November 23, 2017
API Level Guava (7)
Security Patch Level Novembefr 6, 2017
Baseband Version: G900TUCU1GQC2
Kernel Version 3.4.113-lineageos-g746d931
Build Number: lineage_klte-userdebug 7.1.2 NJH47F-c26202ea25
The phone randomly switches to the split screen mode, usually when I am opening apps or using them (eg. ES File Explorer, Blue Mail, Google Search, Cloud Library, IHeart Radio app). I hear a short vibration, then the phone switches into split screen mode.
I have tried an app called MultiWindow Toggle but this does not solve the problem.
I have tried to switch the function of the short press of the recent button to no action and the long press of the recent button to recent apps switcher, but this makes the phone switch to the recent apps switcher.
I don't know if this is a hardware issue or a software issue, and if the latter, is it the os or some of the apps? Does any one have any guidance for how to solve this issue? It is very intrusive, and I really like the Lineage OS.
Thanks for any help that can be offered.
Sounds like a Hardware issue. Can you deactivate the button and activate software nav bar?

I managed to modify the file named build.prop using some instructions I found online. It did activate the software nav bar. I expected it to disable the hardware buttons, but it did not. I still had the same problem.
I had to go into the settings for lineage and set the "recents" button to do nothing on short press and nothing on long press. The leftmost button on the nav bar now does nothing as well. The phone still vibrates a short blast randomly, but does not switch. The right most button on the software nav bar the one with the rectangle face, that one activates the task switcher now. The rightmost hardware button still acts as a "back" button, I want that function so I will leave it as is. I can live with that. I don't know a way to activate the split screen in this configuration, but I can live with that as well. Both the hardware home button and the center button on the software nav bar do the same thing now. I would like to be able to program the nav bar to do what I want it to do, is there a way to do that. If not, I can live with this.
Thanks for your help.
I updated to 9 from 8.1 and now if I swipe a certain way, the display turns off and I have to press power. It's annoying when I'm trying to swipe to use the keyboard. Any ideas?
EDIT: Figured it out. Was a gesture setting with elementalX kernal. Just had to disable it in the kernal manager.
Just got my new (refurb) 2 XL. I would like to try to go stock android on this for a while.
Is there any way to achieve the one feature I cannot live without: long-press power button for flashlight?
I don't think so. You can quickly access it via the notification shade of course. You can set a swipe down gesture on the fingerprint sensor to call the notification shade. You should also be able to turn the flashlight on with voice commands, even with the screen off.
The above are only suggestions for workarounds, but I may have missed something.
I have a sloppy way I do it on 8.1 that uses Automagic and the volume key shortcut in Accessibility Settings. Tasker probably works too.
Turn the shortcut on, select a service. I selected a launcher I don't use. Note that this toggles the accessibility features of an app, so don't use something that needs this. Click to enable it on lockscreen.
Now when you hold both volume buttons for 3 seconds, the system notifies you the service has been toggled. Finally I have a flow in Automagic that triggers when this pops up and from there toggle the flashlight. It even works when locked IF the screen is on.
I use a similar method to customize the Active Edge thing.
Locked on Verizon. Have to be creative

This is probably the best option a double tap
Torchie app
Torchie (no root) is another alternative: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...torchie-torch-volume-buttons-anytime-t3270230
