removing programs

can anyone tell me how to remove programs from the rom pls. i have a BnB WM6 and it came with programs like psShutXP and DisplaySwitch. idont use them at all, when i can delete them from the windows folder because they are system file. does anyone know how to do this?

1.Extract Rom---> Dump
2.Remove all file and text iniflashfiles(spShutXP) in Dump
3.Build Rom.

thnx tom i tried what you said but couldnt quite do, but it doesnt matter ill try again some other time. and youve finished bnb v3 so i dont think theres any need for me to try and cook my own rom.

porting WM6.1 to dev (help needed)

anyone can help me in doing a porting of WM6.1 to a WM6 dev? ... what actually i hv to change? does copying all SYS folder is enough?
also need to do xip porting?
if anyone can help do point me to the correct link

Not enough.
You have to port SYS and XIP, use old OEM.
Read all these.

SYS folder contain the rom right? so if for WM6.1 u can just copy the SYS to the old WM6 .. the thing now is how to port the XIP & map the boot.hv
ehmmm .... a lill bit of headache ....

anyone answering this question? which kitchen to use for cooking for gene? i have wm6.1 rom n i wanna edit the os.nb n delete a few packages out of it

dude u r able to extract the SYS & OEM of a WM6.1 rom? which one did u use ? I tried downloading the cooked rom here but cant do a viewimgfs ... always get errors ... can u point me the base rom?

i dump the wm6.1 os.nb file through hypercore kitchen by anichillus...

manila files cooking into Rom ?

Hallo i want to know how i can cook manila files+theme into a rom when i dump the rom there are no manila files -.- .

You have to set your computer to see hiden files and operating files too.

[SOLVED]How to change OEM version in SplashScreen on BootUp

hi guys.
am building my own roms these days. not totally noob but not an expert as yet.
actually i have seen many roms which have the initials of the person who cooked the rom in the splash screen on the bootup.
like you get RGD
where R is radio
G is something and
D is the OEM or ROM version.
like swtos roms have swtos written on there, aztor and IOR Morna as well.
how to do the same?
i've attached a picture though its not clear but just gives an idea.

well am not sure if what am gonna ask is really dumb or not but have no choice.

actually am using bepe's kitchen and for that there needs to be a proper XIP folder which i could only find in MORNA's XIP.
now i've added the 21038 build files to this xip but do not know what to edit to change that oem version.
my complete rom build 21038 is done and am just left with this.
Am attaching the xip folder so if anyone could change the version to " 2AHEN MAKK", i'll be really thankful to you.
Eagerly waiting for your response as i need to release the rom asap.

you need to edit the s000 file from nk.exe folder whic is located in the oemxipkernel with a HEX EDITOR.
The version number can be found at values around 3500.

here it is . i've noticed it's from xor morna. be sure to give credit to carburano when u release you rom.

but i want "AHEN MAKK".

HTCAlbum.exe 3.2 (NRG PHOTON ROM) HELP

Hello Guys i need some help.
I flash my HD befor few days with lates EnergyROM 'Photon' (23016) ★ |Oct 11| ★ Weather Clock Manila 2.1
But by mistake i remove the HTCAlbum.exe and HTCAlbum.exe.mui etc etc
So PLEASE can someone who is with the same ROM just to copy the files HTCAlbum from Windows Directory and to Upload them somewhere.
I ask Few times in the ROM POST but no one respond maybe nobody see my request.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

try backup and hard reset..

Dude i know how i can fix the problem buf if i hard reset i will lose all my apps and need to install them again and etc etc etc
Much more easy is just someone to copy the file that is around 1MB and thats it.

Buddy, you "cannot" remove in-ROM files, only shadow them! What you mean to say you did is: you copied over files from another album package to \windows. To fix this, simply delete all the files you copied over to and softreset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! System will take care of itself and revert to the in-ROM files.
