I would like to play with Theme Maker, but need to make sure I'm using the right cabs
Go to start-settings-home-items and check that HTC sense is selected

I got my MDA Pro last week, there was some weird problems with it where it would drop the signal rate everytime someone called.
When I called T-Mobile I was told I should update it, which I did...then MMS functionallity disapeared etc..
So my question now is, which ROM is the best to use with it...and where can I find it?

I followed the t-mobile site and downloaded the update (it ends up coming from some t-mobile subdomain on 3rd part site, can't remember the URL, sorry, but hunt around)
I've found it great, fast and stable (as long as you reset when it says it's installing the customisations - you can pick and choose the cabs you install, i'd recommend the mms/gprs settings more than anything else - search on here for the t-mobile cabs, or get the extended storage unlocker and install from there using total commander (also search here for these things - this site is a great resource). You don't see many complaints from t-mobile users here, I suspect they've actually pulled out all the stops and been one of the most reliable resellers of this phones.
but my GPRS is great, coverage is fantastic, bluetooth profiles all in there (including a2dp [sp?]) for bluetooth stereo with a moto hs820), fast running, few resets. All I have of the t-mobile branding is the awful colours on the case of the device. that horrible pink-tinged plastic down the button strip. really. I mean, really.

Would you like to help me build a single CAB file for T-mobile settings?
I would like to take a stock WM5 install, and then include the Qtek dialer and T-mobile settings.
This should provide a very clean build. :idea:
Anyone who knows how to build a settings CAB file, your input would be greatly received!!

In the latest TMobile ExtROM has anyone done a breakdown of what each of the CAB files does? ESpecially interested in those that configure the MMS settings and GPRS

Thanks for all the replies, still having problems after the "latest greatest" update. I got the update from http://t-mobile.iris-global.com/
The MDA still hangs up on 80% of the calls, especially if you spin the screen before answering.

Hello all, I'm on o2 here in Ireland I wish to update my two xda exec's. I have my main phone running an o2 rom. coded as follows
Rom: 1.30.107 WWE
Dated 04/11/06
Radio (costumed to version) 1.14.10 (found on here and works great)

Thats my main phone. So I use it every day. Its pretty stable with the odd hang . However I want to update it to a newer AKU (I'd like to do Ivens 3.5 test 2) But want to know the best extRom to use with it. (if its got o2 settings, all the better )
My second phone, is a project phone. Just to mess about on till i decide to sell the other one. I installed Ivan's rom the other day and it seems ok. (I much rather his wireless client) But I did not update the extrom on it. So again I'd like to know the best one to use. Its coded as follows

I'd like to get them more up to date. So any thoughts? The phones are used for wireless access, using netfront 3.3, texts, voice calls, movies using TCMP and GPS using Route 66 V7. So really most of what they are used for is an after setup install of programs.

Hiya, I have a HTC Cruise and wnat to know which version of WM is running. I ask this as I sent HTC an email about their upgrade to 6.1 and the info they sent back was a ROM update with the same ROM version.
My phone device info is:
ROM version of 1.26.710.1 WWE
ROM Date of 12/17/07
Radio Version of 1.58.21.23
Protocol Version of 25.65.30.04H
To me the above numbers dont mean a heck of a lot but I hope they do to someone else..
The "About" screen indicates it is "Windows Mobile 6 Professional" (if it is 6.1, should it say "6.1"?)

If it indicates that, then it's the WM version, some devices don't have the most recent Windows Mobile update from HTC.
If you wan't to try, usually you must use cooked ROM's from XDA Dev's.

Start > Settings > System > Device Info > Software Info > Manila version
If it starts with 2.0, it's just TouchFlo3D 2.0 (stock version without weather on the clock); full landscape support, has programs tab.
If it starts with 2.1, it has weather on the clock, full landscape support, has a programs tab.
If it starts with 2.5, it has weather on the clock, the background, and you have quicklinks at the bottom of the clock. No full landscape support, no programs tab, has Twitter and Footprints Tabs.
Or, if you're still not sure, you could tell us what ROM you have (stock or custom; if custom, tell us which ROM), and we could tell you.

Oh, so are you using the stock HTC WWE ROM from their website? If you are, I think that comes with Manila 2.1 (weather in the big clock on the Home screen; no quicklinks below the clock; if you slide out the keyboard there's landscape support).
And if you see my post above, which Manila version best describes your Home screen?
Edit: I guess only custom ROMs (at least 3 I've tried and remembered) have this Software Tab.

go to the settings tab in manila- it should be the second to last tab, between weather and programs. Once you're on the settings tab look all the way down at "about". The manila version is listed right there.

but I'm sure it still comes with the AT&T-customized bloatware right?! If there's no trail of AT&T, then that's just amazing (especially since we are talking about our US cell companies here...)!

That would be a WM6.1 version. On my WM6.1 ROM the Manila/TF3D version was in the settings tab (as the last item).
Go to HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Version
I use RUU_Rhodium_S_HTC_Europe_1.86.401.0_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship Rom, and Manila is 2.1.19193517.0
I just recently upgraded to 6.5 and can't seem to find the version of Manila.

To be blunt thins is kind of Greek to me and I have tried to search the forum and haven't had much luck. Can someone please put it to me in plain English.
I would like to upgrade my AT&T Tilt to WM 6.5. I flashed the ROM with the HTC most current version. So I am familiar with that and I do have some IT experience behind me. But can someone tell me what I need or where I can get the file(s) to upgrade this thing to WM 6.5??? Please??

OK not to sound totally off the wall but I just flashed my tilt.

So it appears that my rom is now updated. In browsing threads I see a lot of customizations.
It appears that I have to update my radio in order to upgrade this to WM 6.5.
Would any of you know a link with a basic WM 6.5 upgrade without too many deviations from the 6.1 interface?
I think that I found a thread that has this but am not certain.
Basically I am just looking for a link to upgrade this thing to a plain English USA WM 6.5 revision. Is it possible.
And I may up the ante to $20 .. not a lot but if you were me it would be like $1,000,000 USD.
