Kaiser HTCHome v2.0.814.722
What is NEW:
- Better Quickdial Status Icons
- Tab Setting enabled through Settings/Today/HTCHome(you dont need to edit registry anymore)
What I did:
- Patch HTCHome to fix the Brightness Shortcut
- Patch HTCHome to move the graphics to \HTCHome instead of \Windows
Installation:
- Uninstall previous version
- Copy the Cab to your device and run. Then Softreset.
Important Note:
- If not working properly, Try to install sdkcerts.cab.
- If still not working properly, Try to Install cert_SPCS.cab
- If you still cannot get it to work, READ first HTCHome v1.5 Thread,
- READ HTCHome v2.0.720719. Use "Search" To find the thread
- This is BW version. If you want a colored version, make one yourself or wait I am sure someone will make one shortly.
- This is 0409 English version.
I am sorry that I cannot provide any support for this anymore. I create this for my own use. Tested on my Dopod 838Pro running Dopod WM6 Official with the two certificates installed on my PPC.

24 hr clock to 12 hr clock?
Hi! Great Work!
How do I change the clock from 24 hr to 12 hr with am/pm? I am using emunutz customizer but I see no option to change it nor is it in the clock settings. The clock on the title bar IS 12hr but the large clock is not.
thanks so much bro, i installed normally (not cooking) to my wizard with installing the suggested files, but also can't run, it seems to be very nice.
i hate thats thing called certificate

OK, left side is the colored version
the pictures say more than 1000 words ;-)
if you have a nice background the black buttons are not really beautyful

cool, now where would we get a black theme to make it look just like that we see in the htc rom? also does it work with a green theme? that one looked cool too.
Is it just me or the new home plug-in can't update the weather data?
tried other cities as well, no joy.
Thanks schen..!
Great work. But still bug with Backlight button in Launcher Tab.
How can fix it Schen ??
Thanks again...!
cooked htchome.dll for romcooker
Hello Schen,
Thanks for your works, and for htc home.
But how do you make a dll for cooked rom or can you upload, the htchome.dll cooked for htchome 2.0.814.722.
Thanks for your help

Anyone else have issues with this release and the Kaiser 10 button Comm manager? With the original 1.5 release, when a data connection was activated, the data connection in Comm manager wouldn't show activated (greyed out). I would have to touch it to activate the data connection( even though I was already connected) and then touch it again to deactivate. After installing the v2.0.720.719 the comm manager data connection magically started working. I just installed the 2.0.814.722 from this thread and it is back to operating like the original release. Is there any way to fix this so it shows a data connection is activated in comm manager when I am connected to Edge( 3g not in my area yet) so that I can just tap it to shut down?
Thanks. I hope I was explaining it well enough.

Would you be able to add N2A's fix into this?
Hi All
Since getting a Touch HD iv'e been trying to make some of my favourite programs look ok with the WVGA Resolution.
Here are 3 skins i have either made or modified that work well all keeping the Touchflo 3D Theme.
The first is an S2u2 theme (just copy the gfx folder to the s2u2 dir) and use the clock dir
Second is a quick basic Launch manager theme (copy the defaultwvga dir into the skins dir of lm
last is a Pocketcm theme , This is not my theme but i adapted to work on WVGA , The theme was created by Oumpahpah called Dark Diamond II - 2, I just resized some graphics and made the buttons work on the contact details page, I also edited the ini file to resize some of the screen placings.
There i 1 small glitch which i have yet to iron out on the sms page but it does not interfere with the working of the sms page it just bugs me its there (a white line around the SMS box)
you need to extract both the zip and the dir into the pocketcm dir and choose the
Modified Dark Diamond II 0.25c VGA theme
Also check here for a nice TF3d calendar mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423647
It works great and ive also managed to move the tab using the diamond TF3D editor
also from a diamond thread ive managed to change the calendar link from the homepage to thumbcal and the all people shortcut on the contacs page to pocketcm
I just wish HTC would allow us to show more Appointments on the home screen it seems a waste of the lovely screen not to fill it up
Hope these help
Edit Fixed the SMS glitch Ver2 uploaded of teh PocketCM Theme
Edit Added Thumbcal Skin (skin.diamond_WVGA.zip) just put the zip into the Thumbcal Dir
the other skins work ok but i noticed that the lines were not even on the vga Skin so this fixes that along with the images are now the correct size
New Calculator SKin
Found a great VGA Calc Skin by L.Sylvain but i admended it for WVGA
Install the L.Sylvain cab file then extract the SpbCalc_P_VGA.png file from the SpbCalc_P_VGA.zip and copy it into the windows dir
Edit 20-11 Resized the Landscape too - copy both files into the Windows Dir
Edit 21-11 Small update to the Calc Skin - Changed the pressed keys to Green which is more in line with the Touch HD Theme
08-12 removed the original calc skin as there are better versions now
The final skins are later in this thread
Calc with Grey Pressed buttons SpbCalc_P_WVGA_grey_Final.zip
calc with Green Pressed Buttons SpbCalc_P_WVGAgreen_Final.zip
Both have a condensed but i think easier layout on portrait
and a full layout on landscape
Wow, the calendar and it's tab looks VERY nice! It's late now, but I'll definitely give this a try tomorrow..thanks!
hi machmandp
do i get it right?
I can get the calendar tab in tf3d on the touch hd following the instructions given on the link you supplied?
Do I loose any other tab of the original tabs by performing thid modification?
Thanks in advance for your replies!
Ascenca
Hi
I can just give my experience and i lost no tabs when i added it
I dont use the stock tab which is why it's missing from my setup but it's available (i tried it)
Machmandp - you are an absolute star! I piddled around with the dark diamond skin when I got my HD and got so far with it but then got stuck. I've been hoping someone would sort this out as it is a very appropriate theme for the HD. Limited testing so far and although I can see your (very minor) issue on the SMS screen, everything else looks very good...so many, many thanks. I'd be interested in any further tweaks you make to this skin.
I might pick your brains on linking to different calendar/contact apps, but I'll try searching again first.
Thanks again
I put it on and took it off again because I did lose a tab - programs. I don't have time to play with it right now. It also seems to be static - in other words you get a tab displaying a calendar page but you can't actually do much more than look at the dates. You can't open and interact with the calendar for example.
Mind you that's on a very limited try and I'm happy to be corrected.
machmandp - did you by any chance slot your version into where the stock tab would have been? Also, what do you do with the locale file - I was getting IDS_Calendar_... in front of everything. Can you do more with the calendar than just look at it?
If you get a second, can you point me in the right direction for the diamond tweaks for calendar and contacts - I'm drawing a blank so far
Cheers
Hi
the link for the editor i used for the contacts and calendar links
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407777
make sure you read the whole thread as it has info for the touch HD later in the thread
I did put the calendar where the stock tab used to be but i have enabled the stock tab and it still shows so i have lost no tabs at all.
As regards to the local file you just need to download the lacales.zip from the thread and put the correct locale file into the windows dir (mine was en-us)
yep it's very static at the moment but as the page evolves i figure that it's a good thing to have it working and then i'll just have to replce the actual manila files without having to edit any again, also it's still pretty good as a quick veiw calendar
I am working on the Pocketcm skin so hopefully i'll get rid of that glitch soon
Thanks

Hi, in anticipation of getting hold of my Touch HD (when mobiles.co.uk eventually ships it on O2!) I'm been tinkering around with my Hermes.
I love the look of your S2U2 skin. I've tried to replicate it on my Hermes back down to 320x240 screen.
All seems to have worked ok except I can't get rid of the coloured overlay that S2U2 puts behind the clock. I've changed the background picture to be the one that I use across all devices (the nice blue sunray looking one from Windows 7) but it ends up with this semi-translucent bar with the clock figures and date in across the top half.
Which image file do I need to make transparent to make that go away?
Hope my post made sense.
I'll try and get some screen shots up to show what I mean.

More Daft Questions...Sorry!
@machmandp - I have a little more time now so I'm going to have a play.
First off, I'm going to follow the Calendar hack to set up PI. Seems simple enough from the links you provided.
Then I'm going to look at linking PCM Contacts to the People Tab. How does that work for you? When you tap the contact picture does it link to the correct contact in PCM Contacts? Do the links to call or send SMS under the picture still function?
Lastly, I might give the Calendar Tab hack a go again. I followed the instructions quite carefully and am bothered that managed to lose my Programs tab. Did you copy the XML straight out of the original post? Did you mess around with the Page Order at all? Were you able to use the built in tab configurator to manipulate the tabs including the new calendar tab?
Hugely appreciate all your help so far - you've already made my day today with the fix for the PCM Contacts skin - and I'd immensely grateful for any more guidance you can offer.
Hi
Yes i copied the xml from the page but with the HD having an extra tab i put the number of the calendar page as 11 not 10
As regards to moving the tabs i had to use the diamond TF3d Configurator from the diamond forum, This works fine.
The link to Pocketcm is only for the All people softkey and not for any of the contacts but i find this works well
Hope that helps

TouchFlo Detacher is yet another way to simultaneously have TouchFlo 3D and the regular Today screen. Previous excellent solutions include SecondToday and ManilaControl.
Description
So what makes it different? Well, this app is actually very similar to MastSogo's ManilaControl. The main difference is that the author plans to actively develop it for a while, whereas ManilaControl has been a bit frozen in development for a few months. It is also open source, licensed under the Ms-RL. The program is on CodePlex, so download speeds should be much better than the average rapidshare link. Finally, it is in English and not Spanish. Other than that, it's just another solution for the same problem!
See it in action on the YouTubes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk0xWm8PMGQ
Download the CAB and source code here: http://www.codeplex.com/TFDetacher
Installation
As explained on CodePlex...
1. Install the CAB
2. Run the configuration app
3. Enable all the standard Today Items you want to use
4. Do not re-enable TouchFlo 3D in the Today items (if you do, it will undo all your other Today plugins)
Requirements
Windows Mobile 6.1
.Net Compact Framework 2.0
A device that runs TouchFlo3D / Manila
Current features
- Free up your Today screen by hosting Manila outside of the Today screen! TouchFlo Detacher can launch/show/hide/close Manila independent of any other Today screen settings. Now you can have your TouchFlo cake and eat it too! The most obvious use is to assign a soft key to toggle between seeing TouchFlo and seeing the regular Today screen.
- Service runs as a background application (in your StartUp folder) for maximum speed when toggling Manila modes.
- NO ANNOYING SPLASH SCREEN when application launches.
- Service is 100% idle when not receiving messages or controlling TouchFlo, so no CPU is wasted! (Just a tiny bit of RAM)
- Configuration application allows modifying manila.exe location, manila window class, and more, so that this utility can (presumably) be used with other manila versions (such as TouchFlo 2D). This is untested. Out of the box, it supports TouchFlo 3D in its default configuration as seen on the Diamond/Pro/HD.
- Configuration application can clean out the ManilaActivateToday.exe from the notification queue. (That app can interefere with TouchFlo Detacher's operation.)
- Shortcuts to start/show Manila, hide Manila, and close Manila. These can be assigned to hardware buttons (if your device has them) or virtual hardware buttons through the use of 3rd party applications such as AE Button Plus.
- Configuration application can customize the softkeys in both Today and TouchFlo's Home tab. You can use it to not only assign TouchFlo Detacher operations (show/hide/close), but any other application on your device.
I want only to say many thanks for that cab it works very good on my Touch HD ... Great App cardefbel
THE best piece of software I've downloaded. Used it on both Touch Diamond and Touch HD and love it!
Perfect - thanks
Thanks for this awesome app....
Would I be correct in thinking that with your app I can go all out on WAD2 or something and still be able to switch back and forth between WAD2 and Touchflo without all the hassle?
Thanks. Downloaded, installed, and be able to switch between TF3D and my old style today with Spb Diary.

i have one question, maybe someone of you have the same problem.
i am running the "non TF3D" screen with Resco today plugin and launcher.....if i try to put a background (via setting Today, use picture as background...) no matter which kind of picture i choose, they are opaque.
cant figure out a solution.
thanks and Ciao!

of course thanks to chaosdefinesorder that playing with the device have found out the problem.
for those are asking about my second today:

Resco explorer 2008
that's it.
ciao!
Looks great!
I have tried WAD2 and Spb Mobile Shell and I like many of the things that those things bring that TF3D doesn't. I like them both, but I have not been able to break away from the TF3D which is one of the major factors I purchased the phone. Now I can have my cake and eat it too. We'll give it a shot! Thanks.
Update - I loaded it and it seems to work great. I loaded back my Spb Mobile Shell and seems to be working nicely between. It did take a few tweaks, but it is running fine. One thing however is that when I am back in TF3D my hard home key doesn't work to bring me back to the TF3D home. Any ideas?
Thanks for the program cardefbel but I am having a problem with it....notice that if I'm using the SPB screen it won't go back to TF3D after 15mins.....if I want my TF3D i need to reboot it.....but if I on the TF3D I can swap to SPB anytime.....
absolutely excellent, having my appointments on the screen with a 1 button press to TF3D is awesome

Update Notes (06_24_2009)
* Updated with a new CAB file
* Displays weather forecast details for 5 days
* Remove previous Showaco TitaniumWeather by awilaman installations before installing this CAB
* MortScript is required to run the Weather app. The latest version of MortScript is attached.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have ported Showaco's Titanium Weather to WM 6.5 Standard landscape phones.
It is based on the TitaniumWeather v3.1.2 release that uses dialogs for setup. It contains the fix with corrected URL to accuweather, so it should work out of the box.
It uses the BeyondInvisible icons, see screenshots and works with pudgedaddy's Titanium layout (PD Titanium, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=528983).
If you are using other layouts, it might modify them in undesireable ways, so I would suggest sticking with PD Titanium layout.

thanks for the weather app. maybe i will include it in my .cab ( permission ) but one thing, those without mortscript already installed will have a problerm running the options. so you may want to include the full version of mortscript in your .cab
For those having issues with the weather options install this and then it should work.

Thanks pudgedaddy, for the nice titanium layout (it is very clean and comparable to the WM 6.5 pro layout) and catching the potential issue for those without Mortscript preinstalled.
Please feel free to include the TitaniumWeather in your CAB.
To my knowledge this might be the first "successful" port of a Weather App onto the WM 6.5 standard and I have always been a fan of Showaco's TitaniumWeather app.
It is lightweight, clean and seems to complement your titanium layout. Also, if the weather panel is positioned directly above the Clock panel, you wouldn't need to clutter the Clock panel layout to see the current weather.
A couple of plugins/panel for Titanium that I am looking to port are the Launcher (apps), Comm Manager and Favorite People. These are the plugins from the Titanium Plugins page that I consider non-redundant
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511052
I am also working on an original "Running Apps"/"Task Manager" panel which I hope will give our good ol' Dash/Excalibur/HTC S62[0/1] a Palm Pre Cards feel.

not working
Mine does not work does not show up on the front page, any order I have to install?
i too am having trouble with this. it does not appear on my screen
ok nevermind i see the problem. you have to use pudgedaddys titanium panels. does not work on default 3vo panels
Does not work for me with ookba's 1.30 series 3volution rom.
I installed both cabs given. Tried, uninstalling and tried installing them in a different order. Also tried to edit home screen settings. No luck
after installation of cab file
it gives
error
installation of showaco titanium weather wm6.5 standard version by awilaman.cab was unsuccessful
please help
Unfortunately, I do not have 3volution WM 6.5 ROM to verify things, so I cannot say what the issues are with installing on this ROM. (I will look into it)
I know it works with the PD Titanium Panels although I am not sure about the compatibility btw PD Titanium Panels and 3vo ROM.
I did the porting using PD Titanium Panel layout on the EnergyROM.
The challenge is that there doesn't seem to be a standard Titanium layout like there is on the WM 6.5 pro. This has a lot of implications for plugin development, one of which is that new plugins can only be compatible with one layout at a time and extra effort has to go into making them compatible with other layouts and will make it increasingly difficult to leverage efforts by other folks especially in the WM 6.5 Pro world. One of the challenges that they have derive from varying screen resolutions (QVGA vs. VGA vs. WQVGA vs WVGA) on different platforms something that is definition not an issue for Excalibur contributors. So, it almost seems like we are creating new challenges for ourselves where none would otherwise have existed.
In my own opinion, the PD Titanium layout is the closest to how WM 6.5 Standard Titanium equivalent of the WM 6.5 Pro version might look, so I have based the layout for the port of Showaco's TitaniumWeather on that. Also, I will base the layout of future plugins/panels on the PD Titanium until Microsoft defines something more standard (and different from the WM6.1 panels) or the PD Titanium changes radically.
With all that said, I will upload a revised CAB that should work on the 3vo default layout sometime later today.

sweet, will test it out. if it dont work ill set up my second dash to run the required stuff to use this, glad to see someone working on porting some panels over for us fine dash users
does anyone know who the hell "holy1991" over at pda4x.com is? he/she apparently posts stuff that they've found from other sites and then defames the OA, by claiming it as theirs. Well this time. He/She posted this app over their claiming its theirs, yet the sme time also posted links to this thread as well as my titanium thread.... Oh the nerve!
edit: They also posted the titanium file changer that rickwyatt posted as well. If anyone knows what the SN they use on this forum (if they have one) so i can take the appropriate action, let me know.

I have them installed still no go, never mind I am done I will wait until he has a real working release
Same here....no go.
I've confirmed I'm using PD Titanium Panels, Mortscript 4.2 installed, all on EnergyRom 6.5 by NRGZ28 - reinstalled & rebooted a number of times.
Nothing shows up. I've went into the weather settings, changed a variety of settings, but still nothing.
I do appreciate the effort!

You will have to use the CHome Configurator to "Show" the TitaniumWeather Panel. This will make it visible on the Titanium Home Panel.
I just reinstalled the EnergyROM and followed these steps and it worked
* installed Mortscript,
* installed the Titanium Panel layoutnm (by pudgedaddy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=528983),
* installed the TitaniumWeather panel.
* ran CHome Configuration ("CHome Config" from the start menu) to "Show" the Titanium Panel
* selected "Menu" from the TitaniumWeather panel and modify
* specified the "forecast options/setup"
* ran "Full Update and exit"

Also, include this step, as it is what I was missing. It was right in front of my face the whole time, and when I read your steps it finally hit, like KERPLOW!! Gosh I am such a dunce!
In between installing the Titanium Panel layout and the TitaniumWeather panel, make sure to go to Settings-->Home Screen--> and choose "Titanium Media TopBar". Otherwise nothing will display properly. I now have the Weather Panel setup, and have moved it with Chome Config to just under clock panel. Looks wunderbar. Excellent Work!! awilaman. Thanks, keep up the good work.
PS - Dude, you need a donation box in your sig, so's we can donate. lol.

I tried this on the 3VO, but unfortunately, at least for me, it didn't work. ookba and NRGZ28
are in the process of making a weather app for it. ookba's new release I think will contain it.

Italian Translations by "rubenalf"
This is the new WM6.5 23405 - Thanks to rubenalf for doing the hard work of putting the SYS/XIP together. I did some mods to it from there, and then tweaked the Kitchen for my ROMs. Notice the new Task Manager accessible from the Start Button (Tap & Hold). It also "CLOSES" programs when the X is tapped. Or, you can choose to Tap & Hold the X to minimize. Thanks to amarullz! Find more information over here.
Each Different Version will be listed on Page 2 (Might Spill onto Page 3) with the Download Link for each. In each Download Link I will post the Self Extracting Kitchen, an RUU_Signed.nbh, and an AutoFlash file.
What is AutoFlash you ask? I've taken the RUU file, added the Flashing Program, and Packaged it all up into an AutoExecuting AutoFlashing Program, and, it's a smaller download than the RUU alone. Pretty cool huh? Yes, others have already done this, but I'm going to make it a standard practice from now on.
"AutoFlash (tm), Making Flashing Socially Acceptable, One Package at a Time!"
My recommendation for Flashing is:
Make sure you have Hard SPL on your Phone. I recommend Olipro 1.20 - Click Here for More Info
Be sure your battery is at least 50% full.
Start your phone in Tri Color Screen mode. Steps below
--Unplug your phone from USB
--Hold down the Power & Camera Buttons
--While still holding them down, press the Reset Button using the Stylus
--Release the Reset Button, but continue to hold the Power/Camera buttons until you see the Tri Color Screen
--Plug in the USB cable (if asked about installing a driver, do this), You should see USB in the White Box)
Now you can Flash.
Run the AutoFlash file for the ROM you've selected, or Flash using the Standard Flashing Program included in the Kitchen.
Enjoy!
Suggestions:
For those who wish NOT to have a Startup Sound (it can be annoying) use my attached "Kill Startup Sound.cab" I'm sure this is going to be downloaded a LOT. If requested enough, I'll remove the sound completely.
Edit: From now on, the Startup Sound will be left out. You can enable it using the "Enable Startup Sound.cab" It's driving me crazy with as many flashes and restarts I need to do.
I recommend using the SkyFire Browser as your default.
Thank you to EVERYONE on XDA. Chefs, Programmers, Cookers, Users, Noobs, everyone! You've ALL helped me to be able to do these. I'm sure I'll learn a LOT more as the days go by.
Fix for BT File Transfer:

I also hope to get that working. It's hard to do with these latest ROMs due to how much space they take up. I'll keep trying though. I did make one with an earlier ROM that worked pretty well.

Did you follow the directions on the post? "While on Home Screen, Tap Taskbar, When Icons Show, Tap and HOLD Top Right Corner Until Icons Disappear, Release."
If so, what problem is there? I'll try to fix it.
Yes, this new TaskManager "Showcase" is pretty cool. I'm anxious to give it more of a workout and see how it holds up.

I will do an SPBMS 3.5 ROM. You want it cooked in, or would you prefer to install it yourself?
It seems rubenalf and I are swapping Kitchens back and forth. He's now going to translate my version of his ROM back to Italian. Sharing information will definately help us all. Good Luck rubenalf.
my best compliments!
hello!!!
is it possible to make smaller some windows/text box in this rom?
it seems that most of 23*** ROM are made for VGA screen, but when adaptating them to QVGA, not all text box was resized....
it's my opinion...

Which ones specifically are you referring to? I'd be happy to try to figure it out.
hello.
i'm talking about:
-adress bar and zoom bar of internet explorer.
-windows of volume control.
-top bar of almost program (example: file explorer)
-menus from "file explorer", "Picture & Videos" _ i think all popup menus.
-space between files in file explorer.
note: when i'm using Resco Explorer, lines from each file are display very close, same for the menu (good).
tank's.
