To be honest, I dont remember. Cause I normally dont use that feature, I just press the mute button on the screen. Yesterday I was getting a call while sleeping & tried to mute it by flipping & that's when I noticed that it is not working.
this feature is in samsung omnia not in htc hd

If not, then why is there a registry key in the Touch HD:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PHONE and FaceDownMuteRing
set to 1?

yeah it is set to 1. I am using topix 2.1.1 ROM, if that makes any difference.
hi akash_nu, had exactly the same issue, turns out it was because i was using AE buttons to map the volume hardware keys.
no idea why, but when you re-map the volume keys the flip down mute stops working - unmap and it works again.
you got anything like this running ?

Nope, nothing... I have updated the topix ROM last night to 2.2 though, will check today & let u guys know..
This issue, as the 'Mute Ring' option in incoming caller id screen have to do with the different dialers (topaz of rhodium) we use in our HD's. If you use the HD's dialer, then both functions are working correct!
I see, kwbr has included the original blackstone dialer in topix 2.2 , will try it when I get home... cheers...!!

Hiya,
the one from the market works fine on my Galaxy Nexus, but the last VIP beta i tried wouldn't let me into the settings. The cool blue theme goes really well with ICS on the phone - enjoy!
It works for the mast part with ICS, but it is currently bugged in it's display / GUI. The devs are aware of the issue, and are hoping to have it resolved within the week.

Can we use old dictionaries from Gingerbread with it? My dictionary did specialize quite a lot with months and months of use and I'd like to use it with ICS again. Did anyone try that?
Does anyone using SwitfKey have a keyboard icon in the notification bar which says "Select Input Method" ?

Happens as soon as you install any third party keyboard. It's the same in honeycomb and i think it's a quite good feature.

Have you tried using the apk for the Samsung keyboard?
That might work.
After all, the AOSP keyboard works on all the devices I've used.
EDIT: Nah, I just tried to no avail.

BT mouse is not a keyboard dangit!

Hey all, I'm loving my new 10.1 Pro. One thing that I'm having trouble with is that when I connect a BT mouse (have tried 2 so far), the tablet thinks it's also the default keyboard... ???? Cannot get the onscreen keyboard to work unless I disconnect the mouse. I also have a BT keyboard that still works, and is also the default keyboard. I cannot figure out how to fix this. Any ideas?

And Thought is was just me. Same problem with 8.4 pro. Can't seem to get widgets on lockscreen either.

[MOD][MAGISK]Change Keyboard Sounds

Since I thought that the keyboard sounds inside Android stock are pretty awful, I made this handy Magisk module to change whenever you like, it doesn't do anything special but I think that if you really like to customize Android, you really should do in every possible way as easily as possible. I kinda wanted to make an app to do this but I couldn't make it work for some reason.
Download latest Magisk here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
As of now it's working fine in Magisk v16.0, it should work with betas too but I haven't tested it
If you need any keyboard sound in particular just ask for it! I'll try to feature as many as I could
Keyboard sounds available:
Stock Android Keyboard sounds
iOS Keyboard Sounds
Samsung Keyboard Sounds
Windows Phone Keyboard Sounds
Thanks for this magisk module, it's working as intended really great

Amazing! Exactly what I am looking for such long time.
Maybe you can have an alternative with Sony Xperia keyboard sound, similar to PS4 sound.
The keyboard sound is different on OOS and AOSP roms, could you make a zip for default sound on AOSP roms?

I'm not entirely sure that they are different sounds, I'll look forward into this!
Lol really strange how I have randomly come across this. I recently updated to Oreo and decided to change some UI sounds. I downloaded the Pixel sounds of alarms, ringtones, notification and UI sounds. I changed them with root explorer and set the permissions sounds so much better. I also changed the lock sounds as didn't like the stock 1s.

Apparently Xperia doesn't have custom sounds but uses SwiftKey, I'll ask the developers if I can take those sounds

It's so weird that we have to rely on root to change such a small thing like the sounds our keyboards make, maybe in newer releases of Android a developer will think about this

I have xperia xz UI sounds if needed.
You can change lock sounds. Charging sounds camera picture sounds.
And add more ringtones and notification sounds to system I added the s9 and pixel XL 2 sounds to my phone for something different

Yeah I know, as I said in the thread I wanted to make an app that was able to change all of this but in the end I wasn't able to
I do have the sounds from an Xperia XZ 2 but, as I said, they come from SwiftKey, so I asked the developers the permission to use them but they still have to reply me
