Core player ac3 problem

Hello everybody. I've installed core player on my touch hd and just put some avi files of the 4400 with ac3 sound on my hd. Now core player says it doesn't support ac3 is there a codec around that wil solve this problem or is ac3 playback with coreplayer not possible.
does your coreplayer play dailymotion.com
got the same "problem"
it's not possible at the moment with coreplayer
I know use the encoder found in this forum by projection. Works great. Also with ac3 and it plays the video's even better than coreplayer in the onboard hd video player.
here's the link to the ap. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112

Wich player can play MPEG2 from stream?

Wich player can play MPEG2 from stream?
Want to watch my streams from the dreambox (wifi), coreplayer cant play this.
interesting subject....
coreplayer & kinoma don't have mpeg-2 codec
vlc player is so old and brakes strongly
tcpmp don't play stream also...
Pocket Player can play from stream. It is primarily an audio player but does a few simple video formats and codecs, even youtube flv. It probably does mpeg2.

You may try this: http://pockettv.com/
I haven't and don't know whether it works but they claim to support mpeg2.
I couldn't find how to play directly streaming media in FAQ !
Please report results if you try it !
Hello
is there any solution to play mpeg2 stream on HD ?
with coreplayer you can hear sound onl
Older version of TCPMP can play MPEG2
Yes, but it can take MPEG-2 streams.
It's old and does't support WM 6.5. Anyone pwiseeeee?
Even if it does the speed of the wifi is slow and you will have to wait to cache it... So copy paste it and play it from storage... or convert it to mp4 first.

Is there solution to the problem with films of HTC HD?

Ultimately, what is the best video player for the HTC HD now?
Problem as the phone was out that the core player play good films, but does not support all audio codecs (it is a film without sound) and does not support subtitles.
Free version of TCPMP do play all movies whit sound and subtitles, but movies go very slowly rather than smooth.
So my question is, since my information is from 4-5 months before, are there any new development on the subject. Is there a player who goes smoothly converted video and subtitles supported?
If there is such a miracle, I'll be happy to drop a link?
What is the latest version of core player and are solved the problems there?
Latest version was 1.3 I reckon. They plan on introducing AC3 audio codec support which is the most widely used audio codec for ripped movies etc in a 1.5.x version.
But yeah, Coreplayer is at the moment still the most top notch player imo.
This is a list of the supported audio and video codecs:
Audio : MP3, MP2, AAC, MKA, WMA, Midi*, WAV, OGG, Speex, WAVPACK, TTA, FLAC, MPC, AMR, ADPCM, ALaw, MuLaw, G.729, GSM
Video: H.264 (AVC), AVCHD, MKV, MPEG-1, MPEG-4 part 2 (ASP), DivX, XviD, WMV*, Theora*, Dirac*, MJPEG, MSVIDEO1
Another Coreplayer user here!
Works great for me.

It all depends how you encode the video files... I can play a whole movie without any lag.
yes, but I want to play unconverted video..
The main reason why I use coreplayer is because it can play unconverted video, I have too much video to even be coverted and it's generally just too much of a hassle to me. You can't watch a 4.7 gig dvd unconverted if that's what you mean but dvd ripped avi filea from like 700 mb play without any lag at all using coreplayer.

VLC media Player Alpha works

I installed the alpha version of VLC media player and was able to directly play a 1080P WMV file which is not currently supported by Amazon media player. Playback wasn't entirely smooth, but not sure if this is due to a alpha software that may not support the video accleration features of the Fire. In any case, this shows that VLC will allow us to play other formats than what Amazon is supporting.
Anyone try TetherGPS?
Has anyone tried a simple .AVI file?
yea, the bundled dash limits showing most video files moved to the device in the videos tab. This being said if you install mxplayer or any other relevant vid player and use root explorer or even go launcher playing most divx / avi videos is a breeze.
Well doesnt the nook Tablet have the same processor and stuff that the Fire does. I know the Nook Tablet can play 1080p so why couldnt the fire?
The VLC app for Android is in Alpha version so maybe trying another fully tested and released player known to work with Nook at 1080P is in order to compare apples to apples.
I wasn't able to play an XviD encoded AVI, but sideloading Moboplayer (com.clov4r.android.nil-1.apk) works great.

Thanks for the tip. I downloaded moboplayer pro (free) from the Android Market and it played the 1080P WMV much smoother than the VLC player alpha.

[Q] OTA Update to regain DivX

Hi,
When will there be an update that gives back DivX playback capability ?
thanks,
Seedar.
I don't know about DivX specifically, but typical XViD (.avi container) files play very well in both QQPlayer and RockPlayer. So if the video you want to watch won't work in the stock player, try something else
MX video player also seems to work well. I threw 720p .mkv at it, and it crashed requiring a battery pull. But then I changed the settings to allow software audio decoding with hardware video decoding. That did the trick, and the video played back super smooth.
