i've installed the latest version of the HTC Audio Manager but if i tap on the icon nothings changes for few seconds and then the text "Load RC Failed" appears for a second or less time in the status bar.... i wanna get this prog working! anyone knows a solution for this problem?

You need NetCF to run SEVERAL apps including HTC audio manager
Im not sure if this is your problem because I dont remember what the error is when you try to run HTC audio manager without NetCF, I just remember it gives some sort of error like that.
Look for NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab somewhere on google or here.

I've read so many posts about this nice little plug-in, and found a couple that seem to have the exact same issues as me but no solutions/aswers has been posted. I'm hoping someone in here can shed some light onto my ignorant mind.
I have an HTC branded TyTN (Model name HERM200). I have flashed it with the official HTC Swedish WM6 upgrade ROM. Now I've found this nice HTC HomePlugin that I wanted to use. I've tried many different versions but I have the same problems with all of them.
I install HTC HomePlug 2.1, soft-reset. The plug-in loads up nicely. But these things doesn't work:
1. I cant seem to connect any contacts to the speed-dial buttons.
2. I cant seem to connect anything to the launcher-buttons (It just displays a folder icon when I click an empty button.)
3. Weather tab doesnt show anything. (I can live without it though)
4. Musicplayer seems to stop music after a second. I press play, it plays for a second, then stops.)
Please, does anyone have any ideas on why it won't work?

Hi !
Same here with the "HTC Home Plugin v2.1 (patched by N2A)" found at http://www.pocketemu.com/download8.html on a Touch Dual, with French OEM ROM !
1. Cant' add a working shortcut into the Contacts tab : the name appears but when I tap on it, nothing appens
2. Showing a "Folder" icon into the "Sound Profile" tab
3. Showing a "Folder" icon when adding a HTC App only into the "App" Tab : ie. "rotate" or "backlight" adjustment app
4. The weather is working.
The language is French, on a French ROM, but in HTC Home Customizer 1.0, the selected language is "US English". When I switch to French, the language in HTC Home is English...
Any ideas ???

Nah, should work on other languages as if you read through previous link I give ya, it worked on a spanish rom.

It doesn't seem like its the certs that stop it from working since
it loads up correctly. It's just the stuff mentioned in the first post that does not work... launcher, quickdial, musicplayer and weather.
Does it require WM6.1?
Did u manage to dig up anything? I'd really like to have it working.
If you are running a swedish rom you need to chenage some things in registry, or find the hhcv08.cab to customise the plugin, if I remember correctly you can change settings for language.
I also recall posting n the subject some time ago, do a search on my previous posts.

Try this [size=+2]cab[/size],
1. install,
2, wait for 10 seconds,
3. go to to day setting, uncheck the Home plug-in,
4. ok,
5. go to today setting again,
6. re-tick the home,
7. ok, ok, then you will see the 5 tap home.
8. want all 6 taps?
9. go to today setting, home tap, tick the music tap,
10. ok, ok then wait some seconds.
11. DONE ! ^_^

This did not work. If I check any tab other than Home, the plug-in doesn't show anything at all. Thanks anyway...
Just to follow up. I finally got it working. What did it was that I installed HTC Home Customizer and in the settings in there on the Options tab I selected Plug In Language Swedish and now everything works like a charm!!

I need your help desperately.
I flashed Stu's vista rom and then I installed Emu's Htc home .cab (version 2.1)
After that my phone loads the startup screens and it seems to freeze in the windows screen. I can see the soft keys, the start button....but when I click on that nothing happens.
I try to connect it with my pc but there isn't any partnership established. Also I did many soft resets and pulled out the battery.
Can you help me please?

I'm not really an expert spinyian, but have you tried installing the certs?
Search these forums for SdkCerts.cab and Cert_SPCS.cab. As I understand it these allow some unsigned applications to run properly and may be required by some ROMS and devices.

When accessing the following URL from PIE, I'm supposed to select the Login link to access the rest of the site. Yet each time I select the link IE gives me an option to save the file (Login.do) to my mobile, instead of entering the site (refer attached screen shots for details).

I've since loaded Opera to mobile and the link works fine. Also from desktop PC the link works fine. Installine PIEPlus did not solve the problem. It seems it's related to PIE. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I've done the following fixes;
Opera in Task Manager (Thanks to Quarintus)

* Go to: HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager\ExclusiveList\System
* There delete Opera9.exe (now it will show in the task manager)
To close opera by pressing the X-button instead of minimizing it follow these stepsThanks to Quarintus)

* There, create a DWORD with the name Opera9.exe value "1"
I've tried using them on the included Opera version with my phone (don't recall the version) and it worked, but it would always give me a Windows Error when I close Opera using task manager (the error report sender deal pops up..). There are a couple of occasions where it didn't give me the error, because it made my phone freeze requiring a soft-reset.
I've tried using one fix or the other at a time, I've tried upgrading/downgrading to different versions of Opera but nothing has worked.
Am I doing something wrong? Any useful advice is appreciated

Thanks, but I couldn't find anything that helped in there prior to posting this thread.
Also, I'm noticing now that my original Opera doesn't appear to work, or is no longer installed.. probably because I've installed a couple of other versions now.. I've removed all versions of Opera that I installed and the original appears to be gone (I assumed it was a part of the ROM, and simply went 'hidden' when I upgraded to a newer/old version..).
I've also got 4 Opera icons/buttons in my Start -> All Programs menu.. how do I get rid of them?

Thanks for your time, I need some help!
On my Tab S, downloads from some sites run fine, while from others the orange webpage progress stripe travels across the top of the screen, but nothing happens. No files appear in downloads foler or notifications. If you long-press & select open in new window, the new window is just blank.
It is this device, not the files, as the same files open fine on other devices.
It's not the browser - same problem if tried in Chrome, Explorer or Firefox.
It's not the .pdf viewer, of which I have several working fine.
McAfee security software maybe causing problem??
This problem only started about the end of May ... so maybe an update caused the problem?
80% of download files work fine. 20% do nothing.
The biggest problem I'm having is with my cloud accounting software “Xero” - on this device, .aba banking files, .jpeg & .pdf ...any file actually .. from Xero.. will now not work on this device. Files from Xero used to work on this device, & they still work on my phone.
Here's another example. This .pdf from Suncorp DOES open on this Tab S device no problem, both in cloud viewer & downloaded to device:
(not allowed to post the link, so put the terms ".pdf Suncorp" into Google seach, click on the .pdf titled "Module: Introduction - Suncorp Group")
However, this file - also a .pdf from Suncorp - will not download on the Tab S, but it works fine on my phone (same McAfee package is used on the phone (Galaxy 4) so I don't really think McAfee is the problem either):
On the Tab S - for some seemingly random files - the download just doesn’t seem to start anymore. ??!?!
On the google search page, a long press on the .pdf files brings up "open in PDF viewer" as a menu option for some PDFs and not for others ... maybe this is a clue?
As noted above, this random refusal to download acurs with other files types as well, not just PDFs.
Any suggestions? I use this device mostly for accounting & banking, so this problem is a real pain!
